They tried to argue me down about cream that they charged me for but never put it into my snow cone. Basically they claim that they mix stuff into your shaved ice without you knowing instead of fixing like you want it. People just hype this place up because of their soft ice and good flavors but never tell the truth about this place and because they had been here for years.

You can order online or go to the window. Very large variety of treats to choose from. Very large. Homemade ice cream. They got it going on. A 24 oz will cost you about $5.11 or so. Dont have long waits. Its good. Yall go seeem!!!

I let my two grandkids go and get and I icy I tasted of it and it was really good really good I ended up getting me one people were very kind and they also respected the covic in made you stand 6 feet apart and wear masks

I ordered a float was not wanting shaved ice. But that is what I got.. syrup was on the bottom and it tasted aweful way way way too sweet

I really love their snow cones! They are amazing! I do have one complaint though, I drove across town showed up at 8:58pm the other day and I was excited because I got there just in time before they closed. I was there to order a snow cone for my 8 month pregnant wife who was really craving one. I got up there and a worker told me that they weren’t taking orders anymore while people were still getting their snow cones. I am a loyal customer, but workers shouldn’t try to close before their posted time.

The staff has never been very personable, I always feel awkward standing at the window that’s covered so you can’t see in and the sign that says “we are not responsible if you drop your shaved ice” is nice finishing touch to how you should NOT run a business 😒I much prefer Wake Village shaved ice.

I loved the shaved ice we got here but for some reason their card machine only takes certain cards and it was a pain having to leave and go get cash. I would have just left it alone but my kids were really looking forward to them. If they can fix their card reader Id give them 5 stars

Oh my gracious amaZing. Very busy but very worth the short wait. They have every flavor imaginable and J try a new one everytime. Very reasonably priced. Fast friendly courteous service. Clean with plenty of tables and a covered bridge to either eat there or take back home. Great family friendly place great prices. Good treat on a hot day.

This place is good for only shaved ice.. As far as homemade ice cream its terrible.. The ice cream was made with ice and vanilla flavoring. Im so disappointed in this place.. If your advertising homemade ice cream please sell that... If your selling crushed ice and flavoring advertised that ... Very sad...

Very disappointed in this business. At location 15 mins before closing time and they wouldnt even take our orders. Several customers coming in behind us and they were all turned away as well. If your sign says open until 7, orders should be taken up until that time.

Southern Tropics Shaved Ice is a real delight in our heat and humidity. Its been a success year after year, for maybe a decade or longer now. Thats, at least in part because of the shops owners. Good people. Visitors should expect to see members of the Raney family on-site, eagerly greeting customers or making up delicious shaved ice treats while customers wait at picnic tables just beyond the front window.These are not your snow cones from 15 years ago, though. These are shaved ice treats, and they really beat the heat with all that delicious and sweet.Stop by, and get a gander at the menu of literally hundreds of possible flavors and flavor combinations. Their blackberry & peach with cream gives your mouth the delights of a cobbler in ice form.
