I was very pleased with my car maintenance needs. Changed my air filters, new tires and got an inspection. They did not try to pump up prices on me and I appreciate that. Fair prices, friendly staff. I’ll be back.

I found out from a oil change chain that I had some problems that needed to be fixed real soon. They gave me estimates and everything. I took these estimates to Fernando. I was a little surprised at first that he didnt want to look at the estimates & suggested work that needed to be done from the other place. The thing is that he wanted to assess it for himself.They dont go off anything that other places say and dont like to use other places parts to do repair work. They have been doing this for a long time, so what they need to do is to be given the space to look at the issue(s) for themselves and to take care of the problem optimally.If you have been doing something for decades (as they have), they probably know better. I let them have have my car, he gave me a full explanation for what was going on and asked me if he could move forward.After the work was done, he offered me to come back a week later for a follow up. The nature of work that was done in this case needs a check-up soon after. Everything was fine.In short, Fernando knows and cares about what hes doing there.

We love these guys. Our first experience with them was when we were told that what we needed was something simple we could do ourselves. Who does that anymore? They won our trust that day. Theyve worked on all our vehicles since. Fernando is honest about what he sees and the cost. One important point is regarding a wheelchair accessible Dodge van. The Dodge dealership was always hesitant to work on the van, not Fernando. Our 2000 Dodge van is still running, thank you so much Fernando.

I recently took my F150 in to have the AC fixed and a front end noise checked out. Fernando was very helpful and explained everything they would do and called me the next day before proceeding. Along with the repairs, he mentioned some items to keep an eye on that didnt need replacing yet but were starting to wear. Everything was very honest and transparent and the price for their services was very fair. I would not hesitate to refer Fernando and Colony Car Care to anyone looking for an honest, price-competitive repair shop.

I bring my vehicles here every time and have always been greatly satisfied. The owner is professional and very friendly, the office and shop extremely clean and the repairs are done quickly. The pricing is fair and reasonable and the work is explained very well. You can trust this shop, folks!

After having a bad experience I called Colony Car Care and told them about my car and my problems. I was told by Pete to bring my car in and have it looked at. I brought my car in and explained the issue I was having. He called his boss who was then told he would not even look at my car and that I had to leave.I have never in my life heard of a business out right refuse business without doing its proper due diligence. They had no clue how big or small the issue was, and just refused to work on my car because they didnt want to ruin it. Why are you in business if there is a chance you are going to ruin a car?? And if thats the case, wouldnt your employee say that over the phone, before I drive over to your shop? I have never written a review on a company but this experience was by far my worst, which is unfortunate because I am a local resident who lives right across the street from this company.May I suggest at least trying to solve a customers problem, maybe by giving some insight or even a suggestion as to how to get help. Not just shove them out the door. Hell, you charge $90 for a diagnostic and yet you couldnt even do that for a customer?Im sure they have done great work for people, but my experience was by far the worst I have ever had with a company.

Went here because of the local reviews and figured id get honest auto care. I am a 27 year old woman with no knowledge of cars, I have to trust what they say. I was charged $1200 for an A/C compressor. Thats parts and labor. When I pick up my car, the A/C doesnt work, I ask why, to which he replied you said you wanted it fixed at minimum cost and yes I did say that! But $1200 I should have it fixed with my air conditioning working would assume. I later find out after speaking to other shops that I was way over charged in the first place. As a compressor is only $300 part, so i spent $900 on labor. On top of that I dont Even have a warranty??? So frustrating, no ac no warranty, and Im out $1200.Also very argumentative and apathetic. Im disappointed because I had very high hopes, I even told Fernando that the community says he is honest and thats why I was putting my trust in him. Sad.

It is a little hard to find them, but well worth calling for directions. Fantastic service, great work, and we have needed our vehicle back quickly and got it right away. They have been in business here for years and definitely there is a reason for that. They do not suggest extra repairs that are not needed. They fix the problem right and will help you economize on repairs if necessary! Thank you Fernando!!

Very disappointing! If I could give him zero star I would. My husband took his work van to Fernando to ask about possibly doing work on his van. Fernando advised him of the $90 diagnostic charge. My husband decided at that time he wasnt going to do it. The following day my husband took his van to Fernando and told him to look at his truck. Come to find out it was a tire my husband needed. My husband went to pay Fernando and he stated that this one is on the house. My husband told him well Im going to have my wife bring our truck to you to get a transmission mount put on. Let me stop here. I was told by another mechanic at another shop I needed a transmission mount but we decided to take it to Fernando. I get to the office and Fernando takes my keys and begin working on my truck. He completes the work and comes into the office to tell me that it wasnt my transmission mount its my engine mount. He also stated that the transmission mount was stressed but the knocking noise we hear is because the engine shifts when we take off. I paid him and left. I informed my husband of what happened and he went back up to the shop to talk to Fernando. Here is the problem. I cant blame Fernando for the misdiagnosis, that was the fault of the other mechanic, however, Fernando being the mechanic he is should have stopped doing the work once he took the transmission mount off and noticed that it wasnt the issue. Fernando advised my husband that he didnt notice the knocking noise until be backed out (after the work was done) but Im not seeing how that is true because when he pulled the truck in he would have felt it if he didnt hear it. So I just feel that he should have stopped once he took the transmission mount off and noticed it was stressed. Meaning it wasnt anything wrong with it. Have some kind of integrity! Money was not an issue here. Either way Fernando was going to get paid whether he put on the part or stopped the work because he noticed that the issue was something else. Then had the nerve to say YOU PEOPLE! Just disgusting! Will never go back there and since YOU PEOPLE meaning African Americans are problem Im going to make sure that this is known.Fernando, I dont need a reply because at the end of the day you were wrong. You got paid so you are good.

Came to this shop to have my tires pressure checked but unknowingly came to find out they close at 6 but still had their open signs up. And their doors were open where they work on the vehicles. I was rudely told to go down the street since they were “closed” so the guy could continue to talk to his buddies.

This place is a joke. Wouldn’t recommend at all based on how they treated me for something that takes 30 seconds to do with an impact drill. Be careful of overchargesCame here after being recommended and all I needed help with was changing the pulley off an alternator I bought and replacing it with the original alternators pulley. The reason why, was because the new pulley had a bigger lip on it that made it impossible to get the belt on and the original was the same diameter but didn’t have the lip so changing it would fix the issue.Fernando threw a fit and wouldn’t take a look at the alternators and when I asked if he could just help me out because I didn’t have an impact drill to swap out on my own he said he’d do it for 50$. Well guess what I drove down the road to AutoZone and they told me they swap these out regularly for people and do it for FREE. After I swapped the pulley’s I went to install the alternator and it works like a charm.Be wary of a person like this, if he wouldn’t help with a 30 second job to make a quick buck I can only imagine what kind of bs charges he gives out to his customers. Glad I never came here for real work, I prefer my mechanics to lend a helping hand when the job took a guy 30 seconds to do at AutoZone.No excuse for the character displayed here.

My 16 year old radiator went out on me. I might have tried the job myself but I wanted to trust a professional to do it for me. He estimated a fair price and charged what I expected. The coolant system works as it should now.They did the job I needed and a little extra. They even cleaned up the powersteering fluid I had all over the engine, and replaced a clamp on a powersteering hose to cut back on the leaking (rack and pinion leaking).Before I drove off he reviewed everything he did to my car and gave me some advice on other questions I had.Their garage is clean. They were prompt, professional, and friendly.I would recommend this auto shop over any down main street. My only regret is that I had to take my car to a shop at all.

As new residents of The Colony, we were looking for a dependable mechanic that we could count on and take all of our cars to. We thought we had found that. However, after spending $626 to replace a throttle body on my Ford Expedition, I didnt even get 10 miles down the road before the check engine light came on and the car was coughing and sputtering. We discovered that a vaccuum hose had been left disconnected and another code came up now. My husband took it back to them and asked about the hose and why this new code only came up after the repair. Fernando became very defensive and wouldnt even give a quote for the repair that was now needed. We took the vehicle somewhere else, and will NEVER be back to Colony Car Care.

My car was overheated and NTB told me the cooling fan went out and cost $505 to replace which include all kind of test. I brought the car to Fernando next day. He added coolant and tested the presure and everything was fine. And he did not charge me anything! He is honest and very reliable business man. I recommand anybody who has older car to come to Colony Car Care!Thank you Fernando!
