Our experience with Chair King in The Colony, Tx was excellent. We went in just to look around. Steve France welcomed us and found out what we were looking for. At first, we didnt have much time to spend, but Steve encouraged us to call him in an hour and he would work with us. We ended up coming back into the store, and we are glad we did. Bought a chair and an ottoman on Easter Sunday. They dont keep inventory at the store - the only way to get anything is to have it delivered later. The chair was going to be delivered the following week and the ottoman at the end of April. The chair didnt come the day it was due, so I called and heard the delivery order hadnt been put in. They told me they were putting it in at that time for delivery the next week. The same thing happened again. Now its the end of May, and the ottoman is apparently sitting in a bay waiting for a delivery driver. And wont be delivered until July. Oh and nobody thought to tell me any of this until I thought to call them. Not great service. I will think twice before shopping at this store again.

Great products. Went to check out the sale. Got some great ideas and actually purchased some accessories. The service was outstanding as the sales rep, Robert, only answered questions and gave highlights to the products we were interested in; never pushing an upsell agenda like other places.

We were looking for outdoor patio furniture and went into ChairKing Backyard Store on 121 in the Colony. The first thing that got our attention was their awareness of social distancing and wearing of masks. This did not prevent the staff from offering us assistance. We ordered a table and chairs 9/20 and was told it would be delivered at the end of October. Due to Covid we had a conversation regarding availability and Robert the store manager told me the chairs were in stock at the warehouse but the table was in route and would only be a few weeks. My estimated arrival date was 10/22. Here it is 11/11 and now they are telling me that I am looking at 12/30 because there is a container shortage shipping over seas. Poor customer service - when I expressed my frustration to Robert he did not seem concerned but said he had several of these phone calls to make. I am extremely disappointed with the service and expectations that were set. This outdoor dining table was going to be used for the holidays.

Robert and Devin sold us an umbrella a few days ago. After a couple of days, it started tilting whenever we opened it. We were disappointed and called the store and they said to bring it back in. While we were looking for a replacement, Robert came over and showed us that our umbrella was not broken, it just had a lock we didn’t know about. We were thrilled! So thrilled we bought a new base to go with it. The service wa Athens best we have ever had!! Thank you Robert and Devin!

Way overpriced furniture

The employees are nice and helpful. The store has a lot of tables/chairs on display in the store. However, I bought a patio table and chairs mid June and it took several weeks to receive and Ive yet to see the cushions for the seats. Its been over 2 months.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Three of us walked in together in hopes of buying some new furniture for our patio. Three men were behind the counter, one on the phone, one helping a customer and one doing who knows what.We walked around the store and testing some things out for about 20 minutes. We noticed that the employees kept helping other customers. Two other couples had come in after us and they were immediately attended to.We had even went up to the counter to ask a question and the guy on the phone hung up and went to another couple in a different part of the store.So we left. As we were walking out one guy who had just helped a customer load stuff into their car asked if we needed anything. We said nope, no one could bother to talk to us so we wouldn’t bother purchasing their products. We left and went to Sunnyland and made it five feet in the door and were greeted by employees who helped and answered every question. We will be going back there when ready to make our final purchases.

The store manager Robert assisted me in my search. He let me take my time & didn’t pressure me. He was very detailed in explaining the materials and they had a good selection. Very please with my choice.

Everyone was so nice and they had a nice selection of umbrellas, which we were looking for. The quality of the product seems top notch. The patio furniture was very nice too. Staff were great and they even gave us a discount on the umbrella when the discount was only on furniture. We will shop here in the future.

She helped work out a deal for what I was looking for and was about as pleasant as they come when it comes to quality customer service and overall positive attitude as a sales representative.
