I went here because I didnt have a soldering iron on hand after my move and asked the guy if he could fix 1 broken connection on my cars key fob. HE SAID IT WOULD BE $50 for a single connection solder job. I went to Walmart and bought a soldering iron for 5 bucks and fixed it in less than a minute. I love supporting local businesses but I feel like these guys are trying to rip people off.

They have some interesting things that you cant get anywhere else locally but thats about the end of the advantages. Every single thing is priced multiple times over what it should be.

Look, I do still have faith and confidence in the tech guys at Radio Shack. They offered a reasonably priced repair to a used musical keyboard in order to allow the a/c adaptor they stocked to power the instrument. For a very fair price they offered a very professional solution, but the cost was more than could be afforded for my used equipment. I was a bit upset and wanted to complain, but they did offer the best overall solution from their perspective. The Radio Shack in my town is Locally Owned by a very nice family. I will always have deep respect for them and the services they provide for our community. But i know they need to have a great Christmas too. So, if its not too much trouble and you dont live too far away, please give them some of your holiday shopping plans. oh, and nobody asked me to do this, i was just mad because i couldn’t afford even a reasonably priced repair. I finally did get the adaptor to work, but i had to put a piece of duct tape on it to get it to work. (They are quite a bit more professional than me.)
