I stepped back in time... To the 1980s! Very well kept and clean. The baked goods were very nice! The donuts looked great, but they did not taste as good as they look... The cookies, on the other hand, were better than they looked. The muffins were decent, not as sweet as other places. The strawberry shortcake was probably the most delicious, moist and well balanced. The chocolate cake was a bit too sweet for me, sorry. Overall, the service was excellent! The counter person was very eager, friendly, generous, and rah-rah hooray! If I am in the area, I would go here for the cookies and strawberry shortcake, but not if I am in a hurry because the wait line outside took about 20 - 30 minutes.

Heard a lot of good things about this place and we stopped by for a quick snack. Their pastries are fresh and delicious, my favorite one was the one with the pecans, but I don’t recall the name!They also make cakes and they have a sandwich shop as well.

So many samples available, super courteous and patient. They took their time answering all our questions and were very knowledgeable. We wanted a different mix of designs and they even printed something out similar to how it would look to help us choose. Would highly recommend!

We worked with the this particular bakery as it was included in our reception package. Initially, customer service was not so great. The representative was a little bit impolite and lacked customer service. She was not friendly at all and had problems helping us with our cake order. Our second visit, we worked with Tammy who was a pleasant to work with. She was polite, engaging, helped us with our design and colors and overall she made the experience easy. Our final visit, we continued to work with her and submitted our design and colors. The cake not only looked amazing but also tasted very good. We were impressed that they got our design perfectly on each tier and the flavors were delicious and our guests could not help themselves to get seconds. Our guests were ultimately impressed with the cake and its overall quality. We will definitely be back to order cakes and other pastries. Thanks Torrance Bakery.

It was my first visit, looked like they had a good audience of customers. Very busy during the time I went, the display was not filled neither was there any labeling, I wanted to get some pastries but got whatever was eye-appealing. Probably, a bad idea to do....I bought a small cheesecake, shortbread cookies with walnuts, and a cream puff. Im a huge fan of sweets, so taste really matters for me and Im sorry but this place didnt give me that awe-feeling.1st the cheesecake tasted like it came from a grocery store but worse. The graham cracker base was hard and too sweet, I ended up throwing half away.....Ive had better cheesecakes and this was a disappointment. 2nd the cream puff was good but wouldve been better if the custard/cream wasnt overly powering than the pastry itself....it was a thin layer of pastry with a fist full of cream! Lastly, the shortbread cookies were hard and too sweet. Ive made shortbread before and and they shouldnt be this sweet...But on a positive note the staff was really friendly and very patient with me while I was choosing what to get.

Best bakery in town. French cream is outstanding. The cake is great texture and taste. ALL deserts are delicious. Great customer service. Even the pasta salad is good. They can do no wrong. Prices of individual items are good. Custom cake prices are a bit high but too tasty to go elsewhere.

Tasty treats at Torrance Bakery. Probably too many treats. Could not decide on which pastry to buy, so I bought almost all varieties. Great taste and texture in all their sweets. I cant really specify a favorite as they were all so good.

I really used to love this place. I came here a lot as a kid. I remember the prices being fair, and the selection was bigger. The employees were more attentive and friendly. The pastries tasted amazing. Now everything has changed. The prices are absolutely ridiculously high and the quality of the pastries has declined over the years. This has been a downtown Torrance classic for years and still will be for hopefully many years to come. I still believe in this bakery despite everything.

Gabe went the extra mile making my icing sheets and made my graduation cake a great success. Fast friendly professional highly recommend. Hes done great graphics on icing sheets for years.

If they only had ice cream it would be a one stop dessert palace. They are fast and efficient. I didnt order a cake so idk about that but we went in to browse and got a donut and iced coffee. They were patient with me, I havent been there in years I think. It was yummy!

Looking for the best bakery to make your cake for any occasion? You must try Torrance Bakery! They made my daughters gender reveal cake and my granddaughters 1st birthday cake. They literally can make anything. I will definitely continue to buy my cakes from them. Oh and the breakfast, coffee and pastries are good too. :-)

Casual setting? Thats a little off the mark. More of a super pretentious family/hipster vibe going on here. Overpriced baked goods. We left so I know nothing of the quality-what there was left looked beautiful and yummy. Went late in the day. Not much left so I would advise going early. Plan on there being a line. People were nice enough. Place was expansive- bakery in one building...wedding cakes and such in the next...and then a deli, so theyve got the whole block.

Lovely bakery shop in Old town Torrance. Their new custom cake showroom is nice and classy. They get very creative during holiday seasons. They do offer cocoa and cinnamon powders among the coffee condiments which is cool to spice up your coffee.

Everything is delicious.I wouldnt ever go to another bakery for custom cupcakes or cakes. Ive been going to Torrance bakery for about 13/14 years and I love it. The chocolate chip cookies are amazing

Stopped in Iconic Fox Drugs in Old Torrance, that place is like walking into yesteryear. If your in Old Torrance you automatically stop in at The Iconic Torrance Bakery to pick up some tasty treats. They have good protocols implemented to have a safe shopping experience. The variety of cakes, cookies, pastries and more are beautifully displayed to tempt your taste buds. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Torrance Bakery, Dont leave Old Torrance Without It.

PSA - no cronuts on Sunday (wish they had posted that before I made the drive to get some, as I have for 10+ years).When I suggested a notice on their website (and some frustration), all I got was blank stares. No apologies (not that I was expecting one), and not even a thank you when I still bought $15 in items (3 stars for fresh danishes, despite this experience). This place has been coasting for years, as anyone whos been going for a while knows. They have a good location/captive audience, but I dont plan on returning.I usually dont post less than positive reviews, but I figure if I can save someone a Sunday trip, its worth it.

We wanted a small simple white wedding cake for our intimate beach wedding. We ordered this cake 1 week before our wedding and it went so smooth and east. They have the absolute BEST white cake ever! So fluffy, its my favorite with strawberries. Cake topper I had to purchase my own but they provided a stand within the cake to be able to hold the cake topper with no issue. This is the best place for birthday cakes and wedding cakes. Our entire family gets their birthday cakes from here.

This place is one of the best things about Torrance. You have to try the maple chews (pictured here). They also do a great job with their specialty sugar cookies (like this Chargers cookie seen here) and the Rams cookies that they made for the NFL Playoffs.

Turkey Pesto...add bacon (just cause) and you have the best sandwich in the south bay, there doughnuts and other cakes are wonderful too

This is horrible customer service. The communication via email was very slow, then I could not really get straight answers on my questions. I was asked to order online but the “online cake order” part is shut down, I am very disappointed with this bakery, I have been coming here since I was a little girl

For our first anniversary, we ordered a cake in the same flavors as our wedding cake, marble with fudge filling and buttercream (we were not about to freeze a tier of cake for a year when we could order another delicious cake). We didnt color match at all, and I was amazed at how close the colors were to our original cake. Beautiful work.Torrance Bakery does seem to underestimate how many people each cake serves - this cake was supposed to serve 12-16, so I thought my husband and I could each have a piece every day for a week. We were not expecting the cake to be this tall (though we really should have, because how else are they getting a filling in there?), and 1/16 of the cake was an almost obscene amount to eat in one sitting, so what happened instead was that we sent a bunch of cake to my in-laws and still spent almost a month eating the rest in more moderate portions. After almost a month, the cake was still almost exactly as good as when it was fresh. Im not exactly recommending you order too much cake and then eat it over the course of a month, but if you go that route, just pop the pieces into some airtight containers, and youll be fine. Were probably going to do this every anniversary, though hopefully post-COVID we can get some people to share the cake with us.

Torrance Bakery is just...yummy! The chocolate chip cookies are my favorite, but I had to be strong and *just* get my sisters birthday cake! It was a yellow cake with butter cream icing and it was quite good! But, not as good as their chocolate chip cookies! LOL

I wanted something light and simple for breakfast and after hearing constant good things about this place I decided to go. I had the intention of only buying one cream cheese filled croissant and ended up walking with a lot more pastries. You can tell this place makes their goods fresh and everything tasted so delicious. The prices are nice and the staff are nicer. I really love this place

They can make almost any design you want and the cake itself is a tasty treat!Just a note if youre of color the cashier at pickup will question and re-question if you paid or not even if you have told her more than 3 times that you have paid and than go ask another person who will then tell her yes in fact this is prepaid for; she held me up wasting my time with this nonsense. That girl was rude and racist and I will post her name soon! She should not be working there muddying up all the great things about this Bakery.
