Chris Corbett was my hero of summer!! I’d been looking and looking for a while and all the sudden The perfect boat came in for my tiny family and Chris swept into action to do everything in his power to get us in it and out on the water enjoying summer and making memories as a family. First time as a solo boat owner for me and Chris and grand bay marine couldn’t have made it easier. So excited to have them deliver my beautiful Regal Fasdeck to my home and have enjoyed every second we’ve captured in the water so far. Thanks Grand Bay but especially thank you Chris!!

Tammie Cornell at Grand Bay Marina was fantastic. We started looking for a used boat with pretty specific wants and little wiggle room in cost so we knew it wouldn’t be easy. We had one boat come in earlier this season and it was Tammie who called me and told us not to buy it based on some mechanical things she didn’t like. I’m sure she could have easily done some repairs and sold it to us, but instead she said “I’m not letting you buy that boat”. While we badly wanted a boat, we trusted she had our best interests in mind and we held off. As the season went on finally assumed that we’d have to wait until fall or later based on this years used boat market. Then we randomly got a call from Tammie earlier in August and she simply said “I’ve got your boat”. So without ever seeing it and wanting it ASAP we bought the boat and had it delivered. A week later the boat showed up and I was shocked at how nice it looked for a 2008 model and the price we paid. The boat almost looks brand new, is in fantastic shape and runs great. We couldn’t be happier with it and I would recommend Tammie to anyone in a heartbeat!

Great experience with Chris. I came in knowing nothing about boats and he and his team took the time to educate me and help me pick the perfect one for my family and my needs. He was always prompt, kind, and engaging. This place is great! No 2 hour dealership process here. I was in and out when signing paperwork in 15 minutes. What a fantastic experience. When picking up my new boat, he took the time to show me everything, and give me some lessons. He was patient and kind every step of the way. I highly recommend Chris and his entire team.Update: I had a missing part on my boat and was promised it will be taken care of. I have now owned this boat more than 60 days and have not been able to get a definitive answer on the missing item. The parts manager actually told me that there are people who have bigger problems than me, so I need to calm down. Not having the item is one thing, but I have now been sold a product, and are now old news, so communication does not exist from them to give me updates.

We have now purchased our 2nd new boat (1st Regal 1900 and 2nd StarCraft Tritoon) from GB and Derek in particular. Both purchases were great! In both cases our trades were very fair.This purchase was delayed briefly due to their inability to get the new OB motor because of delays from the manufacturer and shipping. Derek did a great job of communicating with us every week along the way. Our new motor came in after about 4 weeks and the boat was rigged and ready to go in 2 days.We took the new boat out for an orientation excursion and Derek was very thorough about showing us all of the features of the new boat. This boat is what we were looking for. For us old farts we wanted something that was 1. Stable. 2. Easy to get on and off. 3. Plenty of room for the family. 4. This is the third boat our family has purchased but our first experience with Grand Bay Marine. Some words to describe the individuals that we had the fortune to meet at Grand Bay Marine; honest, patient, experienced, truthful, kind, and can be can be described as having solid integrity. From start to finish this place is top notch. Chris, Kyle, Liz and others that were involved with our boat purchase literally did everything they said they were going to do. Grand Bay Marine did not disappoint.I have to say, there was a one issue when we took delivery of our boat and trailer. It was a major issue but there is no need to go into details here. Because of some past extremely negative experiences with sellers of luxury items we were geared up for a long-drawn-out back and forth when talking with the sales manager and owner. UPDATE: Our starcraft sls-5 tri-toon pontoon boat is so much fun for my wife and I as well as the kids. They were both super helpful. We love the new tritoon that we bought. It’s getting delivered tomorrow and our kids are so excited. If you are looking to buy a pontoon- tritoon in Traverse City, this is the place you want to go.Will def be back for a wake board or surf boat in the next few years. Had a wonderful trip to Traverse city but first stopped off at Grand Bay Marine to see Tammie about a boat!! Tammie had the boat cleaned and ready for showing with all of the previous owners records, boat accessory add-ons, coverings (the previous owner had several additional ones) then proceeded to give us lots of extras on her own. There were a few minor things that weren’t perfect and Tammie went out herself and cleaned them.Micheal, who took us to Grand Traverse Bay to test drive the boat was awesome!! Super friendly and even tolerated all of my boating questions! He has an incredible past history of boating!The entire dealership was really nice, all salespeople were friendly (not “salesperson” friendly) but genuine. Everyone asked where we were from, if we were staying in town, and gave lots of restaurant recommendations for their favorite places!!Great place would recommend it in a heartbeat!

We had a great buying experience at Grand Bay Marine. We decided to move from a tritoon that wed had a few years to a small Yamaha jet boat. Of course we were buying last fall during the boat shortage. Chris Corbett took care of us, explaining the ordering process and got things moving. He called back in Feb with news our boat made it on the recent shipment, while others were still backordered. Made us glad we had taken the advice to place 10% nonrefundable down payment in the fall. GBM delivered the boat last week directly into our lake an hour away, so we didnt even have to pull and launch it. Great experience as I said and really appreciate Chriss customer service.

Ive bought a few parts for my boat here but I will not be back. Rumors were recently confirmed by a current wage & hour investigation that owners Liz and Kevin Carney did not pay some employees during the pandemic and never called them back to work. Its horrible how some people treat their employees. Also heard that owner Liz Carney carelessly exposed the whole workforce to possible coronavirus... there are other boat dealers around like Long Lake Marine and Walstrom who deserve our business much better.

I bought a 28 ft regal two years ago that absolutely love! I boat on torch lake in Michigan and everyone I dock somewhere people comment on my boat. Buyer beware. They are fantastic and quick at sales. But watch out for their service and warranty. Our one year old Regal 2100 boat has been in twice for taking on water! There was fiberglass void and literally a hole in the fiberglass. This still did not fix the issue nor did they review anything else on the boat to see if it was water ready.We stored our boat with them to have a few small warranty issues taken care of. When I tried to get it out of storage they ignored us from April 17 to May 22 after reaching out several times and the. They admitted “oh this is the bot we lost the paperwork”. Now it’s the end of June and the boat is still not useable, and they just keep saying trailer it back.Today when I called to let them know it was taking on water yet again, they said service is not speaking to anyone only taking messages. Once I pressed the issue and called headquarters I got through. Same answer, waste your time and gas money and bring it back.This is our third boat and first Regal and first from Grand Bay Marine. Wish we would have bought something else from a dealer who cares.

What an amazing company! My wife and I went to the boat show in Grand Rapids in Winter 2020. We already had a boat, but were open in getting a bigger boat to fit our lifestyle. Helped us get a very nice boat in our price range. Have to add to this review. We did not get to hear the boat run as sales person said he knew the owner and the boat so we relief on him that this was a good boat. Took it home and did not get to try it till Monday. The motor would barely run. Called the sales person on Tuesday and he said not his department and he would check into it. That was Tuesday. Its Thursday and have not heard back. I know the boat was bought as is but when you spend $10,000 on a boat you think it would run okay. When I asked if there was a problem when we launched it the man doing the papet work said to call and let them know which I did but nothing was done. Very disappointed.

I had a decent experience purchasing a Used Regal from Grand Bay. Despite many purchasing setbacks listed below.• I had put down a deposit over the winter dependent upon a sea trial. Then later to find out on the website they had dropped the boat price 8k bucks to try and continue selling the boat even though I had a deposit down. This was not an acceptable way to do business in book.• Had sent multiple emails asking questions regarding the boat. Each response was given back with questions to me unrelated to the answers I was trying to achieve.• The boat as advertised with some extra features like windless which upon sea trial it had non of these features.• Upon the spring sea trial the batteries were not secure and fell onto the engine belt and tore through the battery wires. I asked to have this fixed before taking final possession, only to find that they repaired the wires only and never secured the batteries. So this same thing could happen again. I’m left to repairing on my own.Good things. The boat I bought seems to be great and the previous owner took very good care of it.

Chris and Kyle are the best!!! We have always been partial to a particular make of boat...until now. The knowledge these two have is amazing!!!! Totally changed our minds!!! Which we also did...a million times!!! Chris got info for us on four different boats. Then we asked for another. We went out side and saw another. We went to the event at the mall to look at one and found another. Long day and long story. In the end Chris and Kyle stayed after hours so we could come back and look at another boat!!! Mike came in after hours to do the paperwork and Rob was here also to give us some inside tips on running the the I/O. I bought a boat from grand bay from Tennessee. Liz was super attentive to getting us our new bot ASAP. She FaceTimed is so that we could get a closer look at the boat. Mike had a lot to manage and expedited our financing to help us as well. The whole team was very nice and professional. Service has done an excellent job with winterizing the boat each season, including repairs as needed. Always greeted with a smile and welcome when entering the showroom. I would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a new boat.

Our experience from the purchase of boat to the service of our boat has been terrible, there are so many details I could share but suffice it to say our continued infrequent and happiness let us to another dealer and ultimately remoter in our boat Imagine the shock we experienced when we learned that Grand Bay had sold us a two-year-old motor as part of our new boat purchase and this was never disclosed to us!! words can not express the level of disappointment and ultimate feeling of betrayal that we have for this experience we would never recommend buying from Grand Bay marine.

We bought our first boat from Tammie Cornell at GB who has been just amazing to work with - along with the great guys in the service department. I’m sorry to say that we will not be purchasing our next boat from GB due to very rude treatment from (owner?) Liz, who contacted us without Tammie’s knowledge - an awkward and confusing conversation that left us offended. Liz’s point was unclear - except to shame us for tying up a boat with our deposit during the pandemic when we could not come in and see it due to quarantine. Also, to indicate that she had another buyer she would prefer to sell to. We’ll now take our business elsewhere. Too bad - we love Tammie and had looked forward to buying our next boat from her.

I can honestly say that this company is the definition of customer service! I purchased a star craft tri toon this past summer, and I can say the experience I had was above my expectation. Our sales rep Kyle asked all the right questions and was very knowledgeable. I was new to the pontoon world and Kyle had an answer for everything. No cheesy used car salesman vibe at all! And I will tell you the customer service doesn’t end at the sale. We just got the boat out of winter storage and noticed a small gear box leak from the engine. Kyle and his mechanic walked me through a checklist and was able to find the leak, which was a quick fix ( drain screw on lower unit was slightly loose). I have dealt with a lot of boat dealers in the northern Michigan area and I can honestly say, you will not be disappointed in customer service, product, and general knowledge of this great company!

I bought a Chaparral Ski and Fish from Kyle in Traverse City in Fall of 2017. Kyle was informative, attentive and responsive during my purchase process and after. Liz (the owner) also went out of her way to help with the transaction.For the 2018 Winter Season I stored my boat with them, and utilized their Spring Start up service. The first time I went to use my boat this season it started with no issues, which justified storing my boat with them as opposed to my cousin who owns a warehouse. Our boating season is so short in Traverse City, squeezing every second out on the water counts, and Grand Bay Marine has helped me realize the most of those moments since becoming a customer. Chris and Kyle were awesome to work with along with the rest of the team at Grand Bay Marine! I live in Texas and bought my boat from Grand Bay Marine in Michigan because their price, knowledge and service could not be touched. I contacted multiple dealers and Grand Bays price couldn’t even be matched. Additionally, they prepared our new Heyday for the long road trip to Texas with the best shrink wrap job I have ever seen.
