Best buy used to be my go to spot when I needed something. However, they no longer have the best prices. I can usually find better prices somewhere else.
Conviently located near Greyhound station. Cheap place to stock up on snacks. Friendly, helpful employees.
This store has brought up my self defense case from the nineties Every time Ive been in this store. Frankly its none of these employees buisness, nor the customers. They play detective and dredge up all kinds of bull Sweeper almost fell on me
It was nice & clean. I found Everything I was looking for. Prices were reasonable. The employees were helpful & respectful. However, I dont like how the check out counters are set up in the store. You have no space and it feels claustrophobic.
The store is big enough but it seems like it doesnt have the products that it use to have. Sales associates were friendly.
Jeff the store manager here will take care of you. I had an issue, filled out the survey and he personally called me. He better than fixed it. Check out Trotwood Big Lots for your home decor pieces. Shower curtain, wall pictures, extra large clock, outdoor lights and the best tablecloth for my picnic table.
Wide selection of products at good prices. Staff was helpful and friendly.
You are able to find a little bit of everything there. If you see it when youre in Big Lots, you better get!As always items are in limited supply. 😒
I picked up an online order and the workers were friendly and helpful.
Good experience good prices!
The staff was super nice and even helped me reach things I couldnt cause Im so short.
I was able to find what I was looking for here. And not at two other Big Lots.
Very clean and organized..
Nice staff, good deals, awesome products
I got alot of stuff for my trip
You can really find some gems here. My favorites are the limited time glade products. Ive also bought anti-fatigue kitchen mats and a great bath towels. The floor staff is super friendly too, especially in the furniture section.
They really didnt have anything in stock I just ordered it online
This is one of my favorite stores. So nice all employees. Great selection. Thank you to this nice clean store and great employees.
The store is always clean and nicely stocked
This place is growing on me. They have a really nice selection for healthy eating and snacks. Of course still, you will find your typical junk snacks and other packaged foods. The have a small refrigerated/freezer section. Furniture. ...its like a lil Walmart less the produce. Friendly staff and a clean store.
Great customer service!
I need to get here early next year for gardening supplies.
I miss the guy with the dyed hair. Dont know if he still works there but his customer service skills in addressing customers were phenomenal. The other cashiers should have taken pointers from that young man.
Im on crutches with a broken leg 2 make workers standing in furniture dept talking saw me struggling and I had to yell and say hi can you please help me carry these 3 things to the front. He said yeah I handed him 2 and dropped the other one guess who had to lay my crutch down and pick it up and hand it to him..menotti the best customer service. The girl at the front counter was very friendly and pleasant.God bless then. Maybe their day had been worse than mine.
Great customer service! They had everything me and my family needed today!!
Still one of my favorite spots
Great, got just what I wanted !
The rear of the store is messy, items on the shelves where school/art supplies is a total mess. Prices are missing or not marked on health and body products.
Shopping was good, they didnt have roll up blinds, what I was shopping for. But I did find other stuff I needed.
Went in for French fry seasoning salt. Spent a little much. Lol!!!!
Helped us location furniture in stock, which is hard with Coronavirus using up resources. Kind people. Still waiting to get my furniture bonuses . Hopefully they send me the 50$
Great store too shop
Good store.
Looks like they are remodeling the store. I was able to get what I was there to get.
Cashier was rude. She didnt speak to customers and appeared to have an attitude, but the overall appearance of the store was nice and clean. Covid practices in place and being followed.
Let me first start by addressing the main issue. The staff at the Trotwood big lots are so unprofessional it’s unbelievable. One young woman with braids was very nice and helpful, but everyone in the furniture department was a mess. I would address a worker and would be ignored until they decided to look up and address me. I purchased a couch outright, and it was to be delivered next day between two and five. At 3:30, Daniel & Son arrived to deliver the couch. After paying A SIXTY DOLLAR FEE, the movers noticed a piece of wood had been broken inside the couch. I ask how long will it be before they can get another couch out, and the mover called big lots. They informed me to contact Big Lots for the refund (for the purchase and fee) and that they have zero clue on when they will get another couch. I then had to drive back to big lots just to receive my refund. After making it crystal clear with Courtney that my fee would be refunded as well (because again, the couch was damaged at no fault of my own or the movers and it wasn’t even attempted to be delivered), he proceeded to refund the purchase but not the fee.... and just expected me not to notice and leave. I again said I’m not leaving without my fee refunded, he then called the furniture manager Saudra over. Without addressing me at all, she walks up to him and tells him pretty much “no can do”. AGAIN WITHOUT SPEAKING TO ME. She turns and says she has to contact the “higher ups” and they’ll get back to me. She asks for my name rudely cutting me off and asking how I spell it despite it being on the screen and in front of her on paper. As I explain the situation (because at this point I assume she knows nothing because she hasn’t apologized for this massive inconvenience or addressed me besides the contact info) she cuts me off mid-sentence and says “okay okay” and begins to walk away. I ask for the moving company name and she turns around completely to walk away from me. I follow and ask again because this is no way for a “manager” to behave and she scoffs and says “she doesn’t have to do this” and walks away. I was so furious I was stunned. At no point was I rude to ANYONE at this store. In fact I was quite peachy given the circumstances. This is by far the worst treatment I have received at any retail store. At the end of what was supposed to be an exciting day, I am currently without a couch, out $60 and had the worst customer service ever.I have contacted customer service and they said they will forward it to Bruce the district manager. If you think about shopping here I would caution you to search elsewhere. Trust me there’s better quality furniture and service just about anywhere else.
I dont get why they cant put price stickers on the items they have for sale! Some things do, many dont. I guess those little stickers are expensive!
There is absolutely no staff and the ones there are not courteous at all. We recieved no help, just an bad attitude.
The floor staff seems confused or just not with the program when you need help. Finally figured out that they didn’t want to be there..overheard the conversation. Disappointed in that fact that I heard it. Finally got what I went for and stood in the line to pay for the items and the cashier was on her cell phone and told me to wait. I’ve been waiting but never have I been told so rude to do so. Sadly I left my cart and the items. I did not mind driving to Huber Heights and everyone is wondering why put font shop in Trotwood ask your employees to do better.
This store was well stocked and the cashier was very knowledgable.
Not bad, but being 85 out and NO a/c inside with a mask on does get a little hot.
Not much inventory today but i did get a really nice projector for like 80 dollars a few weeks ago its really nice. If they restock its a great grab.
Always make sure if you buy something there going to put reciept. On you name and phone number is not put out there .Ours sit there two weeks everyone had my phone number and name !
Clean and they have every thing
Great place to shop and visit.
I had a woman there really was helpful kind i am glad i stop
Horrible customer service experience at check out :-(The cashier never even spoke to me at all or even look at me because she had better conversation with a coworker about something non-work related.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Good value on items they have.
Selection was low but the staff was friendly. Cleanliness has certainly taken a back seat, thus location could use a deep deep cleaning from top to bottom.
They barely had prices on anything and it was very hot in their! Very messy!
👍
Thankyou Courtney for being very patient with us and you helped us buy the bed we needed at a good price.
Shelves were bare, they dont have hardly any Christmas stuff anymore and there really arent any bargains there. Id go to Wal-Mart first
Clean store good customer service
I ordered a couple items from the website, the items came in the next day. I was helped right as I walked in the store. Nice clean place and nice help!
A nice store to shop at if you like limited items but very fair prices. I like to go up and down the isles just to see what they have on their shelves. The Trotwood location is rarely busy. If your in the area stop in and do some shopping. The only complaint I have about this store is that two employees, one named Brenda ask me to leave my backpack at the front of the store. I politely told her my backpack is used as a purse. Management needs to train their employees that not all women carry their items in purses. Some ladies like myself prefer backpacks. This is a sexist presumption in our society. Would she question a man that walked in with a purse? I still like shopping at this store but management needs to train their employees better about non specific gender items.
Im ALWAYS Satisfied at the Salem Ave (Trotwood Oh.) location🤗!! Today (2-23-2020 at 4:40pm), the Broyhill collection had around 7 people interested in Patio furniture and a young black male helped us all (answering our questions)!! He had a flyer but was unable to locate where and who couldve moved a Stack of flyers away from that area! So, he gave us his flyer and we all shared reviewing prices and layouts in Broyhill collection!! We all really appreciated his assistance and 4 of us will be ordering furniture (Thanks to that young male🤑)!!!
Getting candy
They didnt have what I wanted in stock but the gentleman called the Huber Heights store and asked them to hold what I wanted til I got there. He went above and beyond
I never had any problems in this store up until I want to shop for some Christmas clearance items and the older black lady worker they put in that area was very unprofessional...I ask her were the Christmas totes on sale because they had them in the area with all the other Christmas clearance items but the idiot they had working decided it would be a good idea to get smart an say do you see clearance sign over there said the worker. This is Why I hate shopping in my area to many smart dummies with unnecessary attitude problems and most these idiots are you unprofessional
Found everything iwas looking for.
Very disorganized. Dirty.
Friendly service
Good story
Great deals on things for your home!
A nice store, friendly service. A nice place to shop.
Cant say enough good about the Trotwood and Kettering location
Will go back. The store was in very good shape. Clean and organized but when I asked the cashier questions then he acted like I was bothering him. Not cool! But everything else was on point.
I know things are strange right now but that doesnt mean we need to be rude towards each other. I also work in the service industry and wo UK ld never dream of treating a customer this way. The cashier didnt greet me, answered the phone while ringing me up when 2 other employees were right there that could answer the phone. When I asked her to please throw away my receipt for me she said no but you can. I have never been treated so rudely for no reason. I wont be returning to this Big Lots and I will tell others not to either.
Clean. Spacious store. Nice selection of merchandise. Friendly staff at register. Not much staff around the store.
Dirty store, empty shelves, and the most unfriendly, difficult and rude staff around. After around 9 visits of consistent awfulness, I refuse step foot inside the Trotwood store again. Do the entire city of Dayton a favor, and bulldoze this store. I’ll help.
Excellent customer service with home furnishings
Not much of a selection, almost everything was sold out but great location for furniture
The store layout was improvedCant fine stuff inventory was low
I went into the store today to use my free core water for member coupon and it wasn’t taking off for the water. The manager come over i show him the email my reward was scanned and he basically didn’t care and didn’t give me the water free instead of him making it free he made it 5 cent. I’m not paying for anything that’s due to me free at cost for being a member when you see the email that was sent to me from big lots. So i tell him I’m calling customer service about the service he didn’t give a f. I left out calling customer service i had called 3 times the first 2 time la the girl Mackenzie was rude and nasty the third time i talk to a manager and she told me to go back and try it now and if it didn’t work that they need to troubleshoot the register. I don’t have time to wait for them to troubleshoot something on the store end so I’ll just return my items and shop else where.
Good deals. Rare finds. I love pop chips. They had cheddar cheese sour cream and other rare snacks.
I love big Big Lots Christmas ornaments my granddaughter bought a bed room set it looks fantastic I got a Christmas mailbox for my granddaughters putting it outside the bedroom so when they open up the door itll say your got mail love Big Lots and the manager and a cash register the employees was great

Awful higj prices and not much merchandise
Was there for a Tornado Relief program, but thanks to the shopping center, for allowing us to set up there!¡!!
I just love big lots store. I am a very big fan of their s thanks so much you guys please keep up the great work and thank you guys
Very nice place to shop. They have just about everything also. Prices are great. They also have furniture, beds and mattresses.
I am trying the lease option on some furniture. Easy application. Quick approval. Check with me later.
Its hot in there, theres no air-conditioning in the store. I feel really bad for the employees. I would have shopped longer but I couldnt take the heat. Management please fix the air-conditioning.
Got a 3 only because its hard to find prices on everything. Needs work on organizing things.Customer service was great though
I always enjoy going to Big Lots. I always find something different priced well.
Nice storr
The cashier was very pleasure you can find whatever you need it it was organized it was clean and I will shop there again
I want to go every week now. Hehe love it
Didnt have much in the Trootwood area
Love the remodel
It had everything I wanted and more for less.
The staff are friendly and courteous...they go out of their way asking if you need assistance.
For the most part it is good service but always great deals
Was a very good place to shop, People that work their are great.
Great staff, great selection
I always find good deals in Big Lots. Teas, Bobs products. It is very regional so dont expect the deals youd get in larger cities but still there are some nice surprises.
Great atmosphere here. Found just what I wanted.
I am disabled and can barely walk. The store does not provide for handicap people. That is a shane since they are the type of stores that help save money.
