The store is clean efficient well-run the staff is knowledgeable friendly very easy to get assistance they have no problem helping you carry heavy items to your car. I would recommend shopping here to anybody that normally shops at a Big lots or any of the other discount stores. They also carry a lot of food and a very reasonable price and its a lot of strange things that you dont find in other places a lot of imports from Europe and other places around the world that you wouldnt expect to find in a Job lots but surprisingly enough this is what they specialize in most of the time and its all really good stuff so if you like to try new things or youre looking for something specific that isnt carried by the big chain stores you should definitely go to Job lots in Troy and check it out its a great place I highly recommend it.

We are pretty busy this time of day, great selection, most of the prices are lower than other stores, helpful staff and plenty parking. They have some canned and jarred foods you cant find in most places and where else can you buy a snow shovel at the same time!? Worth the trip.

Did a online order from the store for the 1st time. Received a email a week later that the item was in. Went to the store and the brought the item and loaded it in to the car. Smooth process.

It has a huge inventory! The employees are very helpful and polite. The prices are great. The only problem I had was they wound up getting a shipment of pools in and I ran up there..for 1 and 1 only. I wish they had limits on buying things because this one guy bought 8 pools. He bought 2 at a time and kept coming back in. They should really limit so everybody can get something. Besides that it was a great store!

So, I would have gave a 5 but for reasons I am giving a 4. I have been looking for Kayaks for a long time. I am usually so busy with work that sometimes I never get to go out and have a day for myself to even look for one. I am new to the area and a friend of mine recomend that I come here. I had asked a store associate for assistance and she quickly blew me off, and was apathetic. I was kind of upset because I also work customer service and this is a hard time for all of us as essentials. When I was in line to check out we asked another associate. She was so helpful and knowledgeable to what I needed and went the extra mile for us. A few weeks ago a woman came into my store and gave me a donation and told me to pay it forward. I explained the story to her and she was so grateful for the gesture. According to store policy... manager of the store she wasnt allowed to have the donation I left for her. Rachel was vey nice. I wish we had more workers like her and I. Thanks again, and I hope you get to keep the donation for you. You get 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 just for being you!

Every employee I encountered was helpful and friendly. I was a little disappointed because many of the shelves were empty. Maybe they are just in the process of changing over seasons

Snow removal was not done- sidewalks are so busted up the shopping cart barely rolled- im surprised not women twisted thier ankles- its bad

I went in here on a limb to find a random item, bubble wrap with no luck. However, I was quite surprised of what I found inside. The store aisles were strategically placed to create a welcoming maze making you aware of the many oddities this store had to offer. The aisles may make you feel claustrophobic but I was amazed at what this store had to offer from scene on TV items, cookware, summer outdoor items to clothes- all under one roof!

Lots of items were in short stock. The store was in a bit of disarray. Not my usual shopping experience at our local ocean state. Capped off with a cashier that wasnt all that courteous and borderline rude to my elderly mom. It may be a while before I returned to this location.

Its a pretty good store. I especially like the management and staff!!! They are always curtious, and help with the customers who dont play by the rules.

This Job lot is really nice. This was my first time to this Troy store. Much nicer than the Valatie store. Figure it is next to Hudson Valley College and has a better selection and more organized. I will definitely be back.

If you have been to a store like this you know what to expect, the main reason for rating is only due to the organization of the floor. The customer service was great and the the folks working do not control that. In addition the check out configuration very odd.

In the whole curtain isle there were like three old beat up curtains. Never go there for curtains.

Absolutely amazing! This was my 3rd time at any job lot and Definitly not my last!. Yesterday I purchased the cat scratcher hide which my cats absolutely love! However when we opened the box the mouse and cat nap were missing. Which was very upsetting due to the fact that I foster kittens and any type of toy is golden. When I called they did not have any left of the cat scratcher hides to replace and I did not want to return the one I got because my cats absolutely love it. Instead, they allowed me to get a free refillable catnip mouse toy similar to the one that was supposed to be in the package! My cats and fosters are going to love it! (I let my cats Play with all of their stuff first so that their scent is on my fosters toys). The 3 women that helped me achieve this happiness and 100%,satisfied customer service were Racheal A, Liz Roscoe & Daytona Brown. Racheal has answered the phone when I called before coming and let me know how they would help and left the message to do so for her next shift employees! Such lovely women and cat lovers too! I will definitely be coming here to shop from now on!

I love the deals, store is kinda set up all over the place, but it is also new, and maybe will become more organized with time. Some of the staff are ok, but some are rude. My daughter was taking a selfie of herself and the cashier, raised her voice and said no taking pictures of me. My daughter, then showed her it was a picture of herself and the cashier did not apologize. I was not happy with the way she spoke to her.
