Best vision center in the capital district. They are top rated for a reason. The staff are all absolutely lovely, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The doctor is knowledgeable, thorough, and answers questions. The equipment is all newer and works really well. They help you pick out the perfect glasses, have great recommendations and expert advice. Prices are good too, about the same as the cheap empire vision from everything I can see. Looks like they recently remodeled inside too, looks fabulous! The only complaints I have are, the glasses selection, a little bit on the small side but not too bad. And the layout for the glasses wasnt intuitive for me. Mens, womens and unisex mostly all mixed, and no clear differentiation between brands. They fit the glasses to your face really will too. They are true experts. Checkout and billing was seamless and easy. Very good experience. Deff going back.

Called to make an appointment for contact fitting. Told them Ive never worn contacts.Filled out paperwork, indicating I never wore contacts before.Completed first part of exam, informing the technician I had never worn contacts.Upon seeing the doctor, I told him I never wore contacts before. He left the exam room and the receptionist came in and said they cant help me.When I asked why, they said because I never wore contacts and they are liable; CoVID made them comfortable.This is perfectly reasonable. I am annoyed because: multiple instances I gave them all the information they needed and it was ignored until 2.5 hours of my time was wasted.

Luv this place I have been coming to Troy Vision for over 10 yrs. I love there glasses. The frames are affordable and durable. I never had a problem with the frames braking. The service is excellent. Everyone is friendly.

Would recommend highly. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Not a long wait time. I was done with a complete eye exam in 45 minutes. The OD was very patient and answered my questions.

I had my first visit here today and I have not a single negative thing to say. I was greeted with a smile and was after filling out the form I was quickly greeted by a nice woman who just wanted to see my glasses, Im sure for my current prescription, and when they were returned to me the hinges had been tightened. This small gesture to me went above and beyond. Ive had these glasses for 2 years and they were incredibly loose, to the point if I looked down they could fall off my face. If I got her name I would definitely give praise where it is due. She also ran me through some normal eye tests and she was clear and concise on every thing we were doing. I then met with Dr. O (forgive me for not trying to spell his long name) who was utterly professional and and efficient. I was out in no time and he informed the next person of what I was looking for and my current insurance. This man was Jim Reedy (I believe thats what his name tag said) and he was not only a pleasure to talk with, but he also was super fast with suggestions for glasses similar to what I asked for and my current pair. My girlfriend showed up and helped me pick out the right frames for me and we both had some laughs with Mr. Reedy. We were thanked by 2 people as we left and they both wished us a good day.To sum it up, this was a fantastic experience by a professional team and I would recommend them to anyone.

I moved to Troy about four years ago but still kept my optometrist back home until this year. Having a new doctor for me is always nerve wracking (hence why I waited so long), but let me tell you what a breeze it was this time around!First of all, I walked in and the workers were literally delightful, welcoming and nice. The man who did all of the tests (like the eye puff thing and the little picture in the eye thing) was super competent when I asked him questions and he was very nice.The doctor was wonderful and answered my questions as well.He was very nice.The woman who did my ordering was very nice as well!I know I keep saying very nice, but truly... I left there feeling very happy and loved.Side Note:Two weeks after I got my contacts I realized my eye was blurry.Made and appt and they said theyd do another run through to see what was wrong with the prescription (awesome). I looked at my box the day after I made the appt and realized I opened two right eye boxes and cancelled my appt. (lol). When I called the woman was so nice and when I explained she laughed with me.Then, a week after I called, asked for my prescription for eyeglasses and contact... She asked me a couple of questions and made sure I had the same email and BAM 5 minutes later, my prescription is in my email...WOW, CAN I JUST SAY WOW?This establishment is hands down the best ive ever been to.Rock on Troy Vision, Rock on.

They were ok with my baby. The new eye doctor is pretty good but I have to say the rest of the staff needs to work on friendlier attitudes. I remember before walking in it was a nice ambience. The dynamics has changed tremendously. The girl at the front desk has a real unkind and standoff and rude attitude. Shouldnt be working with the public if your going to act that way. Your right at the front. Presence should be a lot more welcoming.

Im a person who is big on customer service, if an establishment do not have customer service standards I will walk right out. This place deserves 10 stars, customer service, hospitality, courteous, respectful. 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Keep up the good work, to all that work there.

Horrible experience! I am unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition and was told I could not be seen due to not wearing a mask. I told the lady who was extremely rude that I had a medical condition and she told me I needed to leave. All after I was already in the store and told another receptionist i did not have a mask due to a medical condition and she did not mention me not being able to be seen due to this. A huge waste of time and money.

The Male doctor that fitted me with my contacts was very nice and helpful. I was having issues with my eyes being very dry and he was able to fit me with the Biofinity brand instead of Acuvue Oasys. I love this new Biofinity brand. I never knew you could wear contacts and not feel them in your eyes every time you blinked. I’m so happy I went to Troy Vision and discovered these awesome contacts!

They seemed very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ask if my insurance would cover to thin my frames out. I believed they did to. Thank you Troy Vision

A huge improvement over the only other eyeglass shop I have ever gone to (empire visionworks).Staff was friendly, optometrist professional, not rushed, and answered all my questions.Overall, highly recommended, no more expensive than the other shop, much nicer staff who were more professional, worth the trip.

My entire family has been coming to Troy Vision for as long as I can remember. Even though I no longer live in the area, I plan my appointments around trips back to Troy. Really awesome folks.

I have been going here for years with my teenage son. He is always having issues with his glasses ( losing the screws or rubber piece breaks) because he is a active teenager they always make time to do the repairs for him quickly and readjust them to fit properly. All the staff is very nice and polite. Great service thank you!

Worst hours ever! Good doctors. Good service. Sorry I went there. Working parents stay away! This places hours makes it impossible to be a working parent and get your children taken care of! If your a single professional, maybe a business that is closed on weekends, closes at 12:30 ON A FRIDAY, is for you! I am, once again, sorry I went there. Hard to get back to get my sons glasses with the hours that this place keeps.
