My housemate cooks and bakes by smell, not taste. But he can taste detail also. His birthday is today 9/21/2020 and he loves Italian Rum Cake. Luckily I was in the neighborhood of The Cookie Factory on Congress Street last Wednesday and I was able to order a freshly baked Italian Rum Cake 🎂🎉🎈. I picked it up Saturday. He loved it and likes the fact that the rum was in the filling and not drowning the 🍰 cake. (He love flavor & texture but not alcohol.) As he was enjoying his birthday cake, he shared with me how he knew it was baked fresh. He said he could tell by the Buttercream Frosting. He said after 3 days the sugar crystalizes and becomes crusty. WOW! I never knew!! Thank you The Cookie Factory for doing such a great job. 👍👍🙌🙂🙂

Awesome cookies! My personal favorite is the almond cookie! Some cookies are overpriced for what they are, but others are on the nose! Good options, and have all sorts of other treats avaliable!

I purchased a lemon slice of cake, a chocolate cookie, and vanilla cupcake. I give the sweets a 3/5. I don’t think they taste better than something from a supermarket to really go back here again, but not bad.

The pastries at The Cookie Factory are delicious. We picked up an assortment for Mothers Day and everybody loved them. The Radio Bars are chocolate goodness and the cannolis were amazing.

Purchased goodies for my daughters birthday and requested a large box so my items wouldnt be squished together. i wanted to plate them at my daughters party and have them make a nice presentation. salesgirl proceeded to put all my items in the smallest box they had. upon opening the box i saw the cupcakes packed together like sardines with the eclairs piled on top of one another and on top of the cupcakes. why couldnt she give me the large box i requested?? poor customer service😔

Just ok. I was dying to taste their butter cream frosting. I wouldn’t say it was bad but not the best. I’ll probably go back to try other treats.

2 days ago, I called to order an apple upside-down pie. Yesterday, I got a call back saying they could not make this, but they could make an apple crumb pie. This was for my mothers birthday today. I went over this morning to pick it up and they told me they could not do that one either. I ended up having to spend a few hours today finding a substitute pie, so this review has nothing to do with the quality of goods there, just the service. I most likely will not be going back.

Told the person at the front I wanted 2 double chocolate, I instead got a rat and a diet coke. Free rat though, not complaining

Very disappointed with my cupcake order! Decor is amateur at best nothing professional about the very basic deaignI ordered And Inonly received 16 cupcakes when I asked for a dozen and a half. I do Not recommend the cookie factory

Two hits and two misses. Ordered cucidadi, individual strawberry cheesecake, mini eclair, and small ciabatta loaf.Sadly, the Cucidadi were hard and stale, and the cheesecake tasted artificial, with a small and soggy crust. They were disappointing.The eclair and the ciabatta were very good however. I think I’ll go back for the bread.

We are done buying cookies here. The last THREE Sunday’s that we’ve bought their specialty cookies at $2.75 a piece they’ve been STALE. We’ve bought their Oatmeal Cream, the Christopher, chocolate chip cream and peanut butter fudge dipped and every one of them were NO WHERE NEAR FRESH.Shame on a bakery for selling such poor product past its prime. It used to be great.

Referred by some friends that are actually chefs, I passed by today. Scott and the young lady whose name I failed to get, were ever so helpful even though we walked in close to closing time as they were cleaning up. Very pleased with the product! Will definitely be back again.

Bought a banana cream pie for Thanksgiving. Really disappointed! It literally tasted like vanilla pudding with bananas in it! 5 inches of whipped cream that is that thick fake tasting whipped cream, really thin crust. We were so looking forward to a good banana cream pie.👎👎👎 SMH

You CANNOT go wrong with the Cookie Factory. The cookies, brownies, cakes, and all of the other food is SO good. We get their seven layer cake once a year and it lasts us about a week with 3 people, sometimes less time than that.The Fudge Fancies (or Fantasies) are quite possibly my favorite cookie o this planet. The staff are always fun to chat with and the facilities are spotless.

Everything I have ever purchased here has been excellent and the prices are reasonably affordable.

Bought a birthday cake last year and it was good. Every purchase after that was terrible. Their pies are below average. Youre better off going to Hannafords.

Less than a month before our wedding we decided to change our wedding cake plans and to go with The Cookie Factory because we cant resist their famous fudge filling. They were able to accommodate us so last minute and made the most amazing wedding cake we have ever tasted! One of our favorite things they do is give you four cupcakes to taste at home which allows you not to feel pressured. We were able to try the different combinations and found our favorite- the famous fudge filling with a thin layer of raspberry jam on their delicious white cake! We did our consultation with Christina and she completely understood exactly what we were looking for and our vision for our wedding cake. She answered any and all questions we had without hesitation. Our cake had a floral topper and loose flowers along the side of the cake. When we picked up the flowers from the florist that morning we were not pleased with how they looked. Christina could tell we were very stressed about this and ensured us she would fix it for us and make the cake look beautiful- even if that meant adding some of her own fake flowers from the shop. She was able to clean up the flowers, added some color, and arranged them so they looked beautiful! The cake tasted amazing and all of our guests loved the flavor combination we chose. The one surprise we werent expecting was the extra cake that was delivered. Very thoughtful and much appreciated!!! Instead of saving the top layer of our wedding cake we decided to save the extra cake and cant wait to cut into it next year on our anniversary! Thank you so much for a job well done!!! We will be using The Cookie Factory for all of our cake needs in the future!

Terrible customer service, and too many different people dealing with one customer. Four weeks ago, my daughter contacted them through email in regards to quotes for baby shower cakes. She never received a response so went to the Troy location three weeks ago to talk to someone. After talking with Sara, a cake was chosen and email was sent. Patty was horrible at her job. Last week, she verbally gave a standard price that could possibly be $10-$15 more but said she would get back to my daughter. She failed to do that. No response via call or email. NO FOLLOW UP WITH THE CUSTOMER. Today, my daughter calls and Patty gives a higher price than the standard and the possible $10-$15 more, and was very rude. Yes, she got back what she dished out. Unfortunately, Bianca condoned her employees lack of effective communication with a customer. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!! NEVER recommending or doing business with this bakery again.

The stuff this place sells does taste like it comes from a factory, industrial factory. Nothing genuine about their baked goods unfortunately. Nothing homemade. Look elsewhere.

When they ask you what youd like, just say yes. Every single thing I have tried from here is absolutely excellent. The ladies in the morning make you feel like youre family sitting around the kitchen table. Great job!

Products second to none. Customer service dead last. Ordered a $6 cake for my wifes birthday. They made a mistake on the order. The person behind the counter refused to correct or acknowledge the issue, blamed my wife and walked away. My wife spoke to the manager basically the same response. 10-year customers, and will never return. I contacted them through their e-mail no response. As my friends say, pathetic customer service.

Cakes, cookies, bread and pastries, oh my! Fresh piped cannoli, and awesome eclairs. Too bad they are not closer to my house, but its worth stopping by for the fudge fancy cookies.

Got my wedding cake from The Cookie Factory it was beautiful and tasted good. Gave 3 stars because we ordered the orange cake and got lemon instead. Was a little upset that they got the cake wrong especially for a wedding.

I was here on May 14, 5:30 pm. I purchased in the store several cookies: PB Brownie, Radio bar, Small Cannoli, Oatmeal Cream, Tiramisu Cake slice, and PBJ cookie sandwich. In my personal opinion, PB Brownie, Radio bar, Oatmeal Cream, and Tiramisu Cake were over sweet. Too much sugar. Even if you do not have diabetes, but concern with sugar consumption, this is definitely not your place. A nuisance was that I purchased a cup of coffee and cookies to try in the store, and they told me they don’t have either teaspoons, nor forks, nor plastic knives, so, I needed to eat with hands. When I asked at the end for the bathroom, they said there is no bathroom for customers; only stuff can use their bathroom. This is rude!

I have never, ever had a cookie so good as the Cookie Factorys raspberry drops that I bought yesterday at Hannafords in Voorheesville. The cookie just melts in your mouth, and the raspberry filling is perfect: fruity, not too sweet, just right. This is a five star cookie and worth every cent.

Prices are significantly higher than online pricing. They did not have made what I wanted. I will not waste my time to stop there again!!

Thank you Cookie Factory (and decorator!!!!) for an awesome cake for my sons 18th birthday. Layered vanilla/chocolate with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting. Decorated perfectly!!! Big thumbs up from all 25 guess AND the birthday boy! Thank you!

Where to begin 62 dollars for 32 small cupcakes like really they should be standard size if you’re planning a party plan at Walmart bakery, Bella Napoli, market 32 any where but cookie factory why isn’t there a 0 star option

Do NOT get a cake here, especially your wedding cake. Never did I think there could be such a thing as too much frosting, but Cookie Factory proved me wrong. Their layers of frosting are the same thickness as the cake...ew. And because of this the layers slide all over the place and the cake just falls apart. We have experienced this twice. We will not give them a third chance.The taste isnt even anything to brag about. Very generic. Just go to a grocery store bakery. Especially, the champagne filling. It tastes like straight rubbing alcohol and you literally cant taste anything else because that taste soaks into the actual cake.We specifically asked for a little side of the ammeretto filling because we wanted to taste it but werent sure it would go well with the flavor of our cakes. When we went to pick up our cakes we were told they mixed the ammeretto filling into the frosting of one of the cakes, but they couldnt tell us which one. Im pretty sure it wasnt actually in any of them and they just forgot to set it aside in our order.We asked for extra glitter on a birthday cake and they charged us extra for it. Of course when we got the cake, there was almost no glitter on it. Customer service is pretty crappy. Its like they dont care. I just do not recommend at all for cakes. Never had a problem with their cookies though which is way Im not giving 1 star. I dont like them granted, but theyre not terrible.

I chose this place to put an order in for my wedding cake, I talked to an employee and made a date for the cake tasting . I called a couple days before my cake tasting to confirm the flavors and the appointment and the manager or whoever she was put me on hold 3 to 4 times and then proceeded to tell me she has no record of my appointment for my cake tasting . She then told me she could call me back today to get it all straightened out, I never received a phone call, so after work I called again and what seemed like a younger girl answered and said she was going to call her boss and call me back, yeah NO CALL back once again . We will be getting our wedding cake from another bakery now !!

Love many things there: brownies, cupcakes, cheesecakes, fruit tarts, and turnover. Slightly less but still very good: canolli danish and sugar cookies. Tad expensive though.

Seven Layer Cake, Mint chocolate cupcakes, Oreo Cake, and cannolis are all delicious and served with a smile! Definitely a place to see while in Troy!

Worked at the actual cookie factory.. Packaging cookies and donuts. I didnt get fired I simply left due to the excessive headaches from excessive MOLD in the back area where they pack their cookies, where flys and bees Land on their donuts. Question what is a CORN BUG? Welp never heard of it brought a few of these to the attention of the manager he told me to roll it up.. I wouldnt recommend eating nothing from the cookie factory.. and to think they distribute these cookies to MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR COMPANIES... shame shame shame I think they should be shut down if you ask me..
