Great customer service ππΌ On 10-08-21 I went to Ulta trying to find an eyeliner that would not run because my son was getting married later that day. Rita was quick to help and suggested EstΓ¨e Lauder eyeliner pencil and told me to trust her which I did. I also bought lipstick and mascara per her suggestion. I was in and out in 15 minutes or so. I want to thank Rita and recognize her for her outstanding customer service. The products I bought were a success! Thank you Rita for your help!
I went and had my hair done by Carolena. She was amazing. Originally I had went in to get my roots blended but she explained that unfortunately she didnβt have enough for that. I had booked my appointment online just an hour before hand so I had figured it would be short on time. But we came up with a plan and I left feeling my best. My hair looks and feels amazing.
My experience was great! I was helped by a saleswoman Hana who was very professional. She answered all of my questions. She had a very friendly personality and made my life so much easier with the gift options she helped me pick out! I will definitely shop at this Ulta again. Thank you Hana she loved the perfume!!!!
Seriously can someone show me how to leave negative stars for this terrible store. The girls there are rude and have no helpful information about the products. Beside that they started talking to me about vaccination and how proud they are that their managers and everyone that works there is refusing to get vaccinated. Ha what, why are they talking to me about this, last time I checked there were no physicians working there. Anyway if you want to be safe avoid this terrible, terrible store. Again stay safe and stay far from this location.
Hana was great and well informed about the products in store. She really went above and beyond other sales persons I dealt with before.I went in to look for one gift for my wife and after talking to her I found myself paying for 6 products. If that is not good customer service then I donβt know what qualifies as one. She also explained to me the benefits of holding Ulta card and again convinced somehow to open one. Did I mention that she was very friendly and had a nice smile?
Rita was wonderful! Took so much time to help and recommend products to my mom and I. Hana, rude and literally gaslight me. I wanted to use a $3 off REWARD aka what you get after SPENDING MONEY at Ulta. She said βYou canβt use it on this.β I was confused, but I still needed the item so I still swiped my card. For my own clarification, I showed her the Ulta app with my rewards on it βSo, I canβt use my points for money off purchases?β Instead of being like βOh, I am sorry for the misunderstandingβ or anything to that taste, she just scoffs and tells me βYou didnβt say rewards, you said coupon.β And no offer of trying to fix it either, she tells me the points donβt expire. 1) They do. 2) That information does not matter if I wanted to use them on a certain purchase.
Everyone was polite except the person who rang me up. She was on her phone what seemed like a majority of the time and when my coupon that I havenβt used wasnβt working she offered no solutions and just kept telling me the total. This isnβt usually the Ulta I go to but I did this time since itβs closest to where I live but I doubt i will return to this one since I know other ones with better customer service. However there is was a nice employee who was helpful in finding my shade when I was looking at foundation.
I went to get a hair cut but the hair cut i got its nothing like what I expected!!! I would of went somewhere else paid same amount and probably got a better hair cut!!! Wish never went there!!!!

Please can someone show me how to give this store ZERO stars or even negative stars because this is the worst Ulta Store ever, the employees are rude, very rude and on top of that they dont know what they are talking about and especially one of the girls there, her name is Hana. I mean from where you get these people, at least teach them a little bit or let them read about make-up and your products. Anyway, Ill never go to that terrible store again and beside that I will tell everyone that I know to avoid this place.

One of the employees came to me and said, βwhat do you want.β I spend $100s of dollars here. Are you kidding me? So much for customer service. Untrained so called professionals. I havenβt gone back to this Ulta because every timeI have gone to this specific store I have had the employees following me around. If I wanted someone to follow me around the whole store Iβd go to Sephora. The times I have gone, Iβve had rude employees. It wasnβt this bad when the store first opened and I donβt experience the same things at other Ultaβs itβs just this one. I refuse to even pick up my products at this Ulta. Something needs to change itβs unacceptable.

I didnβt get the hair I was expecting and it was way different from the picture I showed. The blonde lady kept on saying that my hair looks like the picture but it actually didnβt. It was my first time getting my hair done and I was soo excited for it but I was actually sad with the end result. I will never get my hair done there ever again.
I dont appreciate being circled while sampling perfumes. At one point one of the workers quite literally just stood behind me and watched. I put my other items down thinking they were worried Id steal it but the show still continued. When I actually needed help finding Murad products, not a single person asked if I needed help. Got up to the counter where I had to wait longer than I should have because everyones out on the floor stalking shoppers. Parhetic

Went in to get the Tarte shape tape concealer that I received an email showing them at 50% off for platinum members. I was rang up by some girl who was training some other girl who was supposed to ring me up, I gave them my membership # and the βtrainerβ told me that the shape tapes arenβt 50% off, it was only the βglowβ ones. I told her I saw they were 50% off and she insisted that they werenβt.. that if I wanted to switch them for the glow ones because those were the ones that were on sale. I decided not to purchase it and walking out of ulta I checked the email and it says 50% off for platinum member... I am a platinum member which is why I gave them my # in the first place. Are the employees unaware of the sales going on or what because she didnβt even let me explain or show the email. It felt like she was in a rush to get me out of there. Took my business to another ulta and I had no problem purchasing the concealer.

Claire is awesome!! I was observing all the stylists my last visit. They really take the time to satisfy their clients. However, I think they deserve new chairs in that salon! Definitely not any fault of theirs. But come on Ulta. The money people spend at your store .... get it together!!

I get to use different email address from which I connect with them to write the review. (that happened last summer, I couldnt write a review about them until today I suddenly thought using different email for the review)The staff, especially the black Daisy, treat immigrants horrible. Horrible place!I returned a Clinique product because I found out that the sun-protective chemicals harms pregnancy (I didnt open the box). First, Daisy said we needed to talk to their manager, a white female (I first time needed to see a manager for returning products for 9 years in US). And they tried to force me to exchange to other products. I rejected and told myself never going there anymore.They also tried to scam me and did not really return my money to my credit card first time. 2 weeks later, I went back the store with my receipt. the black Daisy served me again. she pretended she didnt recognize me and said that it must exchange, not return (a exchange word at very bottom line of the receive, but the return wrote right on the middle---people must care about when you return there). Do you believe that she didnt recognize me with so much problem during the return? do not mention pregnancy reason return and I am an Asian rarely seen in the store???!!! She rejected to re-return my money until I got angry, so she knew I did not fear her because I am immigrant. If I did not keep the receipt, they would scam me successfully!First time I went the store because my Chinese friends wanted me to buy some beauty care products of famous brands for them (too many fake products in China). I took pictures of their products and prices and sent to my friends. They said they were too expensive comparing other places they knew. I asked the store staff if I could have their ads without buying anything. They said no (tried to seduce me to buy their products), but I did get an account from Ulta website without buy anything.They treat customers, specially immigrants, horribly. Dont go there if you are immigrant. They will scam you because they know that you do not know American culture and laws well.
I never write online reviews but I got my hair and makeup done by Claire for my wedding and it was the best decision I made for my wedding. My makeup was flawless and lasted the entire day (& night!). Claire and I did do a makeup trial a month beforehand which was really helpful. She really listened to what I wanted and took her time to ensure that everything looked perfect. I was nervous in the beginning because I didnt know what to expect but she was absolutely wonderful and very professional. I would highly recommend her services!
I had my haircut by Jessica at this location. I have never had such a good wash and cut in my life. Sheβs such a pleasant person, bless her! I loved the experience so much!

I had two different hair stylists on two different occasions. Both of them disappointed me. My goal was to transition my black hair to a metallicy-lavender-purple shade. Obviously (especially since an aunt of mine is a hair stylist) I know that it will take several hair treatments and bleaches for my dark hair to get to that color.With my first hair-stylist, she was fired due to undercharging people, which is understandable but I wasnt aware it was undercharged. Despite her undercharging me, she also bleached my hair poorly and put a dye in it that didnt show up. She put bleach in my hair and instead of wrapping it in foil, it dried out and did not bleach my hair as much as it couldve. Enough that when I returned for my next session, the new stylist thought that it was dye in my hair and not bleach. The first stylist also put a violet color in my hair, told me oh its so purple, you blind? but it didnt look any shade of purple. When I asked others, immediately after, they told me that the color looked coppery-brown and not purple. On top of this, during our appointment, she told me to make sure I didnt use shampoo that had sulfate in it. At the end of the appointment, I asked her which shampoo I should buy and she told me to buy one where sulfate was the first ingredient (the gold redken bottle). Had I not read the ingredients list before using the shampoo, I wouldnt have found out there was sulfate in it and it would have washed out any color I did have. Luckily I read it and was able to exchange it (to which I also received shocked expressions that my hairstylist advised me on the wrong shampoo).Since these complaints were minor, I decided to ignore it (due to my sometimes-non-confrontational nature with strangers).Fast forward to my second appointment, a day before the appointment I receive a phone call from the manager that the first stylist will no longer be styling my hair and that there will be a different one (I later found out that the first one was fired). I was slightly relieved by this and while talking to he manager, I told her about my experience with the first stylist and she told me that the second stylist was a good stylist and knew what she was doing. Being naive, I believed her.I show up for my appointment and my stylist greets me. I go over what I desired and how I wanted it to look. I specified a balayage technique since I have dark hair and with purple hair, roots would grow in and this way it would look better (to me). Due to the thickness of my hair, and what I believe was her poor timing, she was only able to bleach my hair and I had to return the next day for the color portion. After bleaching it, she did not do a balayage and bleached mostly everything but my roots. She also didnt put a toner in, which made it the bleached part of my hair look various tones of yellow and orange. Due to her running out of time, I had to make time and return the next day.The next day, we discuss again the color of my hair. Since it was still not as bleached as needed for the lavender shade I wanted, I agreed to let her settle for a different shade of purple. She decided to do violet. I also agreed to some magenta-burgundy strands to give some dimension to my hair. What she didnt tell me was that my hair was going to turn out to be neon pink and purple. something I told her I didnt want. When I saw the color of the magenta shade in the bowl, I asked her its not going to be that bright is it? To which she replied no it wont be, the purple will bleed into it and make it less bright. To my surprise at the end of it, my hair was very neon purple and pink. Whats worse is, she didnt put any dye of either color on my roots AND she missed spots where it was bleached, so I now have hair that looks like a mess of neon purple and pink with spots of orange-yellow and my ebony dark brown roots. None of this looks good. I went into work on Monday and my co-workers even commented on how it didnt look professionally done at all and more like I did my own hair in my own bathroom. Im very upset.
Went into this location to get the IT Cc cream. One of the lady asked if I was finding everything ok, so I asked where I could find my product I came in for. First she said that there was no such thing as an IT cosmetics Cc cream. I explained I was pretty sure there was since Iβd been using it for years. Finally I just said ok well can you just show me where the IT products are then, so she led me to the aisle and stood behind me. I asked a question and she didnβt answer, so I had to turn around to see if she was even still there. Then she proceeded to ask me why I use that product and said that itβs for βold people.β Like what? She explained itβs too much coverage and βthatβs not the product she uses.β Idk. Just overall weird vibes. Wonβt be returning.
The arab worker there was rude and helpless in the beginning and I do have reason to believe she is not a makeup person for she had no idea of the product she was showing me or what I was looking for, they need better workers there someone that can help

I have mixed feelings about the staff. They never said welcome to Ulta when I walked in, they just stared me down. Though the associate at the counter was friendly, personable and asked if I found everything ok. They could of done much better in customer service.π€·πΌββοΈ
Huge selection. Mostly well-organized. The small items by the checkout are out of place, not labeled sufficiently, and those small items generally lack context, I have no reason to buy them. Friendly staff, helpful, easy checkout process; but who knows how long that human element will actually endure. I wont be surprised if they begin to institute a self checkout process.
Katelyn Missig (the hair stylist) gave me one of the best haircuts Ive had in a long time. I highly recommend her.
Terrible customer service. Nobody greets you when you walk in, and your have to literally interrupt employees conversations amongst themselves to ask a question about products that you want to purchase.Also......There were 5 of us in line to be checked out and one customer at the register being checked out. Another employee behind the counter on her cell phone texting away. She could of been helping with the customers.
Great cologne
I just want everyone to know that makeup artist Ashlynn Soli is amazing! She really made my day. She matched me for the perfect foundation, spot concealer, mascara, blush and lipstick. I bought everything we tried on. My makeup looked perfect when I left. She gave me not one, but two hugs, and told me that I made HER day. She was very knowledgeable and helpful and sweet. I used to pop in to whatever Ulta, but I will make a point to see her again at the Troy, MI location.

Itβs okay. The staff are nice for the most part but not the most knowledgeable on some of their own products they sell at the store. And their Black Fridays arenβt really Black Fridays. I wasnβt expecting everything to be on sale but I was expecting to get at least one or two out of the 5+ items I got to be on sale. Turns out the only Black Friday deal was the display case at the front door and it was only those items. Donβt get bamboozled like I did. I waited in line for over a half hour to realised Iβm just paying normal priced just like the many people there that day that thought they were getting a deal too.

If i could, Id give them a -10. Im new to the area and was excited to see that theres an Ulta five minutes from my new address. I went in hoping to find a good summer foundation. What a mistake. Not only wasnt I greeted or assisted, they didnt even have what I wanted. Its absolutely picked over and the sales associates are rude as hell. Im a Latina and at first I thought I was imagining the rudeness and the feeling that they were ignoring me because of my ethnicity, but after reading some of these reviews, I now know, its not me, its them! (The salespeople). Rude, unfriendly, racist and to top it all off, the store is so threadbare and picked over. I dont care if its right around the corner, never will I go back. Ill drive a little more in order to go to the good Ulta.
I went in there to buy all new make up. When i mean all new I completely starting over my collection and nobody would help me! I didnt see one sales person.
Its a great place to purchase the higher end cosmetic products without the hassle of driving to a big mall. They also have any perfume that your heart desires too. Same goes for the good stuff for your hair as well.Ive been to a few ULtas in various places in the country and their staff are always great.

The troy location $120 with 20% off for a bleach and $80 for each additional color according to the hair stylist Amanda. Which $80x 4 plus $120 to bleach so $500 for the exact same style and multicolor. $165 at theb12 mile location. Incompetent Made a 7pm appointment wasnt seen till after 8pm what are scheduled appointment times for again? Not to mention my fiance asked for multiple colors and styling only got a bleaching with her split her ends trimmed. definitely dont get what you pay for or ask for.
Staff is friendly and will ask you if you need help, if you run into one on the floor. Ive never been given bad advice. My daughter prefers Ulta for getting her brows done to nail places.
First off let me start by saying I have never left a negative review before but I was so appalled by the service at this location, specifically the βmanagerβ Jessica (I believe), that I feel one is warranted. I went in to exchange an eyeshadow palette that was broken during shipping and a liquid lipstick that the color just didnβt suit me after having swatched it on my hand. The manager opened the liquid lipstick package and immediately said it was empty and dried out so she could not exchange it. I was shocked by her accusations as this product was brand new and I had only opened it once. While I tried to plead my case she keep talking over me and barely let me get a word in. She insisted that she βknows the weight of the product when itβs fullβ and this was definitely empty because she could scrape the brush against the side of the tube and see in. This has to be the most asinine thing Iβve ever heard. Ultimately, this led to a less than pleasant verbal altercation.Iβve included a picture of the BRAND NEW liquid lipstick that I received in store, and (spoiler alert!) I can scrape the brush against the side and see through too! So either Ulta sells empty products or the βmanagerβ is incompetent... I think itβs the latter.So unless you want to be patronized, insulted, and accused of something you did not do, I would avoid this location at all cost!
I age never had the chance to visit the facility to date, but am very interested in doing some shopping there some day soo. My girlfriend says she gets all her beauty supplies there. Sounds like an exciting time!

Being disabled, I look forward to doing a bit of shopping on a good day. I have a genetic disease so its not like Im old. Anyway, NO ONE greets me, I have to shuffle all over the store to find someone and its like Im bothering them and like Im not worth helping! They are always out of my foundation and NEVER offer other suggestions. Im treated like garbage, forced to walk the entire store myself looking for what I need...very sad to be treated this way. Cashier is rude as hell too!Ill bet if I was 18, not in braces and a cane and stuck up Id get decent service. MAYBE.
Such a horrible store. You cannot find anyone to help you. Employees are chatting and laughing to each other and couldnt care less that you are waiting to ask a question or need help. I went to get the mascara that was on sale and there were only two left. These two boxes had the tops cut and were taped closed. I asked girl at register and she said her boss taped them closed because they were cut by accident. I told her that was super sketchy and she didnt care...
They have have some pretty good things for your hair and makeup and other things also
I prefer this Ulta to the others in the area because they have a much wider variety of stock. They have more K-Beauty skincare products available and they have a huge selection of Lancome and Estee Lauder which the other stores seem to lack. Their perfume/cologne selection is much larger as well. They also have many more aisles of drugstore / affordable skincare and cosmetics as well!Bonus points because they always seem relatively well staffed enough because I never have to wait more than 5 minutes to cash out like I do at the other Ultas!

11/20/18 went to this location around 7pm...no one on the floor to help me pick my items...I waited about 15 mins to locate someone, no luck...cashiers had about 15 people waiting in line so I wasnt able to ask for help...I left the store and went to Maceys, in and out in less than 30 mins and they were very helpful...
