Terrible company to work with. If you buy from them be prepared to have to get the AG involved.John, one of the owners likes to make threats then run and hide when called out for the threats.Your home will NEVER be right and they do not show up to fix the problems properly.Items paid for and documented dont show up and they continue to refuse to reimburse for those items.Marriage line issues, foundation cracks, cracks in walls. A tub that has leaked from Day One and continues to be unusable.I could go on but that would be pointless.Buyer beware, run to another dealer.

No prices or square footage or anything else available about the home inside the homes, unless you want the secretary/ sales woman going with you and talking to you while youre trying to look at the home.The laminate floor is so squeaky when you try walking across it in the kitchen or utility room or bathroom.

Update: May 11, 2020: Thank you Scott for finally finishing our home!Almost 1 year and my 30 day list is not finished! They are so far behind that they wont even schedule a time to come out and finish. A part to my water heater is missing and if anything happens they will be liable! My 1 year list starts at the end of this month.It has been 8 months since we moved in and house still isnt 100% complete. We cant even use one of our faucets in our master bath because it was broken when we moved in. Still waiting!Update: I appreciate them calling and clearing up the miscommunication. The house isnt 💯% complete but we were able to move in before Christmas. The house is beautiful but still needs some work. I will revise my review when the house is 💯% complete.I do not recommend American Family Home Sales. We ordered our Modular ( not mobile) home the end of June. It is now December 12 and our house is sitting idle with no one working to finish it. We were told they couldnt finish it until the electric and heat was on. Well, it has been a week since we got both the electric and heat turned on and no one has been out here. Im so sick of the excuses. They are supposed to be here tomorrow. Im not holding my breath because he was supposed to be here on Tuesday. My banker will get an earful if hes not. Please do your research first and check out the reviews before giving them any money.

We went just to look at one of the displays only. I made it known that we would not be purchasing from them as we lived out of state. That didnt stop them from showing all the displays and answering all my questions! Above and beyond! If youre looking for modular. I highly recomend.

My advise to anyone who buys from them if they dont complete everything at the time your home is delivered good luck on getting them back out there to complete and finish the job. I doubt I will ever have a completed home. Such a shame since they seemed so very different when working with them on ordering the home. Once its delivered you will hear ever excuse in the book as to why the work hasnt been completed and returned phone calls will not happen. We have a few friends in search of possibly buying a home in the beginning I did recommend this company but now I will be updating them on the difficulty of getting home completed.My home is completed today and I do appreciate the prompt response to my fiancé from John. I am glad it all worked out because they were good people to work with. I am happy to report that it didnt end on a bad note. Big thank you to the guys that came out today to finish it up. Very much appreciated.

Need a better sales person that can help with your needs in floor planes

We was supposed to get our double wide the end of october 2018 and we got it in January 2019. Jeremy the sales guy has been great working with us and answers all my millions of questions. We had delays due to the weather. They stayed till like 4pm working on the house one day and the one guy came out on a Saturday to do work as well. They did what they could to get us in our house as soon as we could. They still have some things that need finished yet. But over all we had a great experience to get us our home.

Run far, far away from this place of business. They are hugely mismanaged and use weather as an excuse at every turn. We placed our deposit on 11/1/18, the home was finally delivered on 3/7/19, and it is now almost June 1 and we STILL dont have a completed home. It took over 2 months for them to even show back up on site. It appears they only have one crew doing work on all the homes that have been delivered, so their backlog is enormous. Ironically they wont deliver your home until everything is paid in full, so you have zero bargaining power. Thats the way they like it. Extremely shady salesman and owner. This whole process has been extremely stressful and its not over yet. Who knows when well have a completed home. The owner has every excuse in the book, mostly weather, but also likes to throw out you dont understand business. Our family member who has been working with the owner has worked for 35+ years in the field for one of the largest engineering and construction firms in Missouri. Nobody understand business more than he does. Again, DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS for your home needs. They dont even deserve one star but it wont let me leave a review without it.

UPDATE!!! This is the worst company ever. Run as far away as you can. Its just sad that you treat your Customers the way you do. We have been in this house since 2016 and still waiting for it to all be fixed. My parents shouldnt have to be dealing with all of this in a new house. So now we have water running in our laundry room door that was supposed to be replaced and the wall fixed from day one. So now the water is running under the wall and buckling the trim along with all the paint coming off of it. Also still waiting for our island to be fixed since it was put on wrong and the broken piece of wood on the leg. Along with many other things they chose to not fix like they said they would. Not happy customers at all.The house was bought the end of 2015 beinging of 2016. If there was a way to not give a star I would. This has been one of the worst experiences for my parents they were so excited for there new home. All the problems started when it came time to fix all the repairs after the home was set on the foundation. They were told to make a list of all the things that need repainted, fixed, nail holes popping, cracks in the walls from it coming down the road, cuts in the floor from it being built, to part of a bedroom ceiling not being painted, trim popping off all walls and paint pealing off walls and trim and etc. And the problems just go on for there. They have been out to try to fix the problems a few times but do more damage in the end. Starting with all white mud on all our walls and not repainting it, to putting 2 holes in our living room wall, to putting a new countertop on our island not right and breaking a piece off that needs to be replaced and fixed yet again. And then list goes on. And john the own is the one who put the holes in the wall and went off on my mom and was very rude. And then left after he did it. And hasnt been back since or has called to fixed the problem. When we have called and stopped in to talk about the issue.

We have been in the process of buying a house from them and having them set it up. We started this in February. For months they told us we were next to get the land ready and we waited as weeks of beautiful weather passed and more excuses of why they didnt show up. Finally in June we got the house. They told us they were going to be there one day to setup the AC unit, they showed up a week later. We are now still waiting for them to finish putting up skirting so we can put something to access our front door. This has been a waiting game too as we have been told were next for over a week. I will never recommend anyone to this business.

Scoott and I had a wonderful experience with American Family Home Sales. Our sales person Jeremy Sepulveda and the crew were gr8. They were always willing tobtalj to us answer any and all questions regarding our home. It took awhile to get our beautiful new home on our site but you cant stop mother nature. I mean if we didnt have a heck of lot of rain then it was sleet then 22 inches of snow that wouldnt leave then rain again. We finally got our break. All I can say it was worth the wait. A great big Thank You to Jeremy, John, and Scott and the rest that I dont know the names of you made us very happy

Run as fast as you can. They are very nice until they get your money. Then things change. Big mistake doing business with them worst company I have ever done business with. One star is to many for them

My fiancé and I stopped in looking for modular homes and the salesman was very knowledgeable about these homes. They were able to tell me the difference between a mobile home and a modular home. They walked be through their lot displays, which are beautiful, and showed me a ton of options I can change and input into my future home. I was able to tell them different features I would like to have and they showed me some floorplans that would easily accommodate to my needs. I look forward to working with them in the future once I purchase some land.

American Family Home is s joke I bought my home and I ask the salesman if I get steps with my home he said yes and I still havent gotten my down spouts for my gutters yet. My home was delivered after Easter I closed on the middle of November the owner if a very rude person run as fast as you can from this place

This company is pathetic, Ive been a year waiting for them to finish my new home and several hundred phone calls. They have their money and dont care. Its a shame a company can get away with this and still be in business.

I placed an order for a modular home with this business on July 7th, 2017 and the home was delivered to their location on September 27th, 2017. When I originally placed the order for this home I was given an estimated move in time frame of Mid-October. I had been contacting the business since my home arrived to try and get a delivery date; you have to call them constantly and pry the information out of them because they provide you little information once the contract is signed. I was finally given a date of the week of November 6th, 2017 for delivery and the week of November 13th, 2017 for setup. I was frustrated with this date since it is almost a month after I was supposed to be in the home, but at that point the business already had $105,000 of my money so unfortunately I am at their mercy. On November 4th, 2017 I contacted them to make sure everything was still good for the homes delivery and surprise, it’s delayed even longer. All I could get from them is, “it might be there the week of Thanksgiving”” or “maybe the week after Thanksgiving”. Well Thanksgiving had come and gone and there was still no house setup. It was delivered to my building site on November 28th, 2017 after I reluctantly paid the remaining balance on the invoice. It is in their contract that the home has to be paid in full before they will deliver it. So basically I have paid 100% of their labor cost before they have done anything, now it makes sense why they treat people the way they do, they get their money up front. So at this point I had paid this company $133,895 and there is no sign of a setup crew, even though I was told it would be setup immediately after delivery. On Monday December 4th, 2017 my wife called the sales representative to find out what the hold up was. During this conversation she was told the crew would be out later in the week and the house would be on the foundation by the weekend. As of Thursday December 7th, 2007 there was still no sign of a crew to work on the house. We contacted them to see if they were coming out this week and we told yet again they are delayed. During this conversation we were told the crew should be out to set it on Monday December 11th, 2017, but I am not holding my breath. This business is unable to provide their customers with reasonable delivery and setup times, which makes it nearly impossible to schedule contractors to complete the home. I have had to reschedule contractors on multiple occasions to the point it has become embarrassing. When I confronted the owner of the business, and ask him why they are not honest to their customers about the wait times. His response was totally asinine, he said, “If we told them that, we wouldn’t sell many homes would we”. This business is very eager to sell homes but not very honest to customers on actual time of home delivery and setup, as soon as they have your money they no longer care about you. The owner of this business is the most unprofessional man I have ever met. He actually told my wife and I that it was our fault the delivery is taking so long because we didn’t properly plan, we should have ordered it sooner when they weren’t as busy. He is full of excesses and extremely rude; he talks down to you, talks over you, and treats you like you are an idiot. Purchasing a home from this business is one of the most regrettable decisions of my life. Buyers beware!
