I am so excited, it may as well be Christmas morning! I finally won dad over to get hearing checked. I am getting my dad back. He didnt realize how poor his hearing was and I could see the change in him already when he had the test ones on. The audiologist did his testing which was really interesting. His patience, manner and explanation of all the testing he was doing was very well conveyed and made easy for me to understand. I certainly learned allot and truly looking forward to my dad getting his set.Thank you so very very much!

I went to a free hearing clinic today and Bob was very thorough and very clear on how I was going to be tested. He showed me the inner ears with a scope, put me in a room to hear beeps and a man speaking 2 syllable words which I had to repeat. These were all done in degrees of volume. Then I came out of the room and he explained the results to me. They never tried to sell me anything and it was a very pleasant experience.

Patrice greets you with a warm smile and instantly makes you feel relaxed. Bob is kind, thorough and explains everything that’s going to happen. I found the process to be unlike what I expected. Easy and handled in a caring manner. I have been back for fine tuning and will continue the process. I look forward to seeing Bob and Patrice as they have helped me through an emotional change in my life. I am so grateful.

To be able to hear again in such a wonderfully normal way... Unbelievable. Im only 51, but was born with congenital hearing loss. Add a lifetime of hard rock concerts and playing drums, I reached the point where this was necessary. Anyone out there who is too prideful to take The Step, just do it. You wont regret it. For several years now, I’ve noticed my hearing declining. Whether at home speaking with my wife, or at small social functions, or watching tv having to increase the volume. A family member had recently gotten a pair of hearing aids from the Beltone store in Trumbull, CT. He raved about them and the helpfulness he experienced from the folks at this Beltone location. My wife suggested I go for their hearing test. I agreed, and she accompanied me. I have to concur with that family member: the professionalism, understanding, care, consideration, and reassurance exhibited by Peter **, the hearing professional, were nothing short of outstanding.In addition, once you purchase the hearing aids designed for your personal needs, Beltone does not leave you on your own to adjust to them. I meet with Peter once a week to go over any concerns or questions I might have for the first month or so, then every few months after that. In addition, Barbara, the office manager, was instrumental in setting up a payment plan for me, as well as securing a check from my supplemental insurance to help pay for a portion of the cost. If all Beltone locations employ people like Peter and Barbara at the Trumbull, CT office, then Beltone is definitely the leader in the field of hearing aids.

Tom was incredibly helpful and gracious! My mother was visiting from out of town and had an emergency problem with her Resound hearing aid. Tom was very understanding and made time to see her even though it was the end of his day and his week. He quickly took a look at her hearing aid and fixed it. We arrived feeling very insecure that we were going to find a solution to my moms situation and we left extremely thankful for Toms insight and expertise to solve the situation. I recently purchased the Beltone Amaze series hearing aids and have used them regularly for about 3 months.First and foremost, the hearing aids work. Without doubt I hear much better than without them. I now literally hear sounds I did not even know were present. Although I cannot quantify it, my feeling is that I ask people to repeat much less often.As a developer of consumer electronics products I am attentive to the human factors aspects of products. Some details:1. The Amaze product is small and unobtrusive. Friends have commented that they are unaware that I am wearing them. There is a risk of forgetting the hearing aids are in place and showering or falling asleep while wearing.2. The product is light weight and when in place feels secure. However, some care should be used when putting on or removing over the head clothing such as sweaters.3. The high capacity rechargeable batteries mean no inconvenient loss of service or on the fly battery replacement.4. Wireless battery recharging means no fumbling around with cables late at night. The recharge unit itself is small and sturdy and has built-in battery capacity for 3 full recharges. This means the wall mounted ac adapter need not be carried on overnight trips.5. Battery recharge time is advertised as fast (~30 minutes for 8 hours use time starting from zero charge). I have not had occasion to test this.6. The Amaze product is easily re-configured to changing environments. For example moving from indoors to a windy outside setting or to a crowded noisy restaurant or to a very focused environment such as a theater or concert. Re-configuration is accomplished via a smartphone app or optional controller communicating via Bluetooth. Some re-configuration may be accomplished via button pushes on the hearing aids themselves.Positive audible feedback is provided when configuration changes are made. Also, changes are not sticky, meaning when the hearing aids are recharged they revert to their default (customized for you) settings.I must comment on the Beltone purchase process and after purchase support.Step one is a series of detailed hearing tests conducted at the local Beltone office.After completion of the tests, the Beltone representative reviewed the results in detail and configured the hearing aids to compensate for my personal hearing situation. We then repeated portions of the tests so I could evaluate the hearing aid performance.After purchase, several follow up sessions were scheduled to review my progress with the hearing aids and make any required modifications to the default settings.These follow up visits complement the Beltone remote diagnostic and modification capability available through the smartphone app.I am changing my place of residence. The local Beltone representatives contacted the Beltone office nearest my new location and provided them with the details of my hearing situation.I am very pleased with the Beltone Amaze hearing aids and the Beltone sales and service process.A few things I will continue to watch for are:Reliability of the units.The hearing aids are of necessity small and lightweight. How they will stand up to years of use is not yet demonstrated. Hopefully, the Beltone engineering and quality assurance teams have insured this will not be a problem.Battery degradation. If it is as advertised, it should not be a problem. Not yet demonstrated, however.Lastly, price. The Amaze hearing aids are not cheap, think on the order of $6K. There are certainly less expensive hearing aids available.My, admittedly limited, research suggests that at this point (March, 2019) the Amaze product is at the leading edge of consumer hearing aid technology.As such, it currently commands premium pricing. This may change as competitors catch up and drive prices down.
