Save yourself a ton of time and hassle. We had to bring our truck back here MULTIPLE times for the same issue that they could never fix properly. Not just on one repair that didnt get fixed properly but 2 seperate. They both required multiple visits. We had to bring it in again recently for the same issue which not only didnt get fixed again, but I left there with a completely seperate issue the vehicle didnt have going in. I spoke with the OWNER about my concerns, his response was literally then take it somewhere else!!. Very unprofessional and have caused us to need extra work on our vehicle.

I had an almost perfect experience getting a small issue in my truck fixed. I did have to call a day after I dropped it off to remind them to look at it but after that Mike got it fixed within a couple hours and fixed the issue without pushing me to get other things done. I went to Tucson Transmission about a month ago for a full transmission rebuild on my Ford Expedition. Not only was their quote almost $1,000 below my other quotes(some places wouldnt even give me a quote!) but the owner Mike assured me on the out-the-door price with no hidden fees. 4 days later, they delivered for that price. Transmission is smooth with a 1yr warranty.My Expedition had also been having an intermittent vacuum/fuel pump issue before the transmission went out, so I decided to let them take a look at that last week. They diagnosed a cracked fuel pump retainer ring, repaired it and had me back out the door the same day.However, the vehicle died on me two days later, and this is the main reason I decided to write a review. Mike had his shop quickly set up a tow. They diagnosed a minor connection issue not related to the fuel pump repair and fixed it for FREE... they even covered the tow fee! I was amazed by their exceptional service and Mikes ability to build genuine trust. My family has a new shop for all of our future needs. Thank you Mike and your team!

Good place. I had problems with my transmission on my Toyota Rav4 and asked the official Toyota dealer how much will it take for them to fix it- they said $7500.Then Ive seen this service online and called them- they built my entire transmission with $2600 with a one year warranty. They also called me two weeks after I picked up my car to double check if everything works properly.

I had a great experience bringing my 2007 Jeep Patriot to Tucson Transmission and Auto Repair. From the first day that I called Mike and told him I needed my clutch replaced he was genuine and kind. He replaced my clutch for a great deal. We later found out we also needed to replace the synchro rings as well and he took good care of the car. Instead of hiking up the price he only added a little more to my quote. Out the door I spent $1300 and I couldnt be happier.

I took it in and within an hr they told what was wrong with it and gave me a quote of 260$ to fix my CV joint which was amazing because I checked online and said it could cost up 1000$! Great work at a reasonable price

Had my transmission rebuilt here, and Mike and the staff here were awesome. They diagnosed my car for free, and also dealt with my warranty company, and got them to cover the bulk of the cost of a new transmission. Mike kept me updated every step of the way, and was fair and honest in with his repairs and his prices. I was treated like a friend here and my car is running like new. It also came with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. I would recommend tucson transmission to anyone needing an oil change all the way up to a new transmission.

Mike and the team here are awesome!! Twice they helped me diagnose (for free) a complicated engine misfire and both times work was completed in a reasonable amount of time. Also gave me feedback about a transmission code that the dealer I bought the car from was denying, to my face... as a young girl who lives far from home I felt I was treated very fairly and professionally!!!

I called Tucson Transmission with a shift solenoid problem in my transmission, the guy who answered the phone didnt even ask me to bring in the car or anything just told me I would need a new transmission. $2400 it would cost me to get my car up and running. I didnt have the $2400 to get a new transmission and I knew it wasnt the transmission. My husband looked on you tube and learned how to replace the solenoid we ended up replacing the valve body for $250.00 and my car is running perfect now. While this company didnt even want to take the time to help us out. They just wanted $2400.00.

After three months of battling transmission repairs with other shops and being with out my Jeep the entire time I took it to Tucson Transmission and they figured out the underlying problem as soon as the dropped the tranny. NEW Land Rover Specialist: This shop is a heaven sent. I hate to give up a great secret, but these guys actually know what they are doing. They have worked miracles on 2 of my rare Land Rovers. One complete clutch replacement and 1/3 of the cost and a transfer case R and R at once again Less then a third of our local Land Rover facilities. Mike is awesome and charges for the amount of time needed on the repair not what the silly Chilton manual calls for . Scary right, not for an honest repair shop. Transfer case R and R calls for over 14 hours of labor yet, only took 5 hours total to complete. I was charged for 5 hours. Reflecting on my last Rover transfer case job I had done, the case cost me over 2k and the labor was 2k at the dealer, and that was even less then Tucsons local shop fee. Thank You, Tucson Transmissions on Curtis Road for being honest, friendly, and Fast.......Now I have enough money left over to take a day trip in the old Rover.

This is now going to be my go to shop the gave me a great price and could tell me around how much is might cost and lone be hold it came out under what they thought. I took my truck to another shop at first and they tried to stick it to me. But I had my truck taken here and these guys were a tight forward and honest about what they think they might need to do over all this has been a great experience. They were fare and they stuck to there word on everything. He told me that my truck would be done they say it was done. Plus they kept me in the loop the whole way. Toyota dealer claimed that my car needed a $6500 transmission replacement due to a leak. Took my car to Tucson Transmission to get a second opinion. They diagnosed the problem as a leaky drive shaft seal and fixed the problem for $127. Car has been fine since.

These gentleman are the bomb!!! They have taken great care of my vehicles for just about 5 years now. They LISTEN to what the problem is and dont ever try to sell me anything I dont need...EVER. Thats different than most mechanics because Im a small, mature woman; evidently I look like an easy mark to some. (Thank G-d my uncle taught me a thing or two about cars!) Ive even mistakenly left valuables in the car that were obvious but untouched.Mike, his son, Mike Jr., and Rick are the three men Ive worked with most closely. I have all 3 on pedestals as they are all kind, hard-working and honest as the day is long. I think Mike owns the shop and is constantly on the phone caring for tons of others just like he does me. Theres a team of mechanics that work in the garage and I see that they work like a team, helping each other and obviously getting along really well.TTAR prices are always fair. Not to mention that these guys LOVE what they do. I had to laugh the last time I came in with a strange sound in my van. In minutes, their was one... two... then four mechanics gathered around the engine with stethoscopes and great interest in finding the right diagnosis. This is right after I arrived in the lot and before I had given my info and keys!!! I felt like I was on an episode of House, only with mechanics rather than doctors. They got it right, as always.I could not ever imagine going to any other place in town.

Great experience! Another shop misdiagnosed a noise coming from the transmission area as a bad bearing in the transmission. Tucson Transmission diagnosed the noise as bad catalytic converters (OBD II code confirmed) and was able to replace the converters the same day without a prior appointment. Their new shop is awesome and my wife said she felt very comfortable being at the shop without me. Apparently the womens restroom is very nice too! Mike and Rick took time to explain everything to her and called me all along the way to keep me informed. They were also able to fix an oil leak (the Auto Repair part of their name) and service the transmission and transfer case during the same drop in visit. These guys get it done!

Originally brought my vehicle in because it wouldnt go into reverse. I talked with Mike who comes off as a friendly, good person. Agreed to have my transmission rebuilt and was told it would be ready in 3 days. After a week and a half i got a call saying my transfer case was leaking and it needed resealed for $600. I never noticed a leak but i okd the work anyways.So about 2 weeks after i dropped it off, i got my vehicle back with a bill of $2400. As im driving it home the transmission is already popping out of gear leaving me stranded on side of road. I bring it back for warranty and they have it for a month, claiming they fixed it. The next day after having it back it shows the same issue leaving me stuck with my hazards on waiting for another tow. So i bring it in again and after 3 weeks, they replaced my tps and claim its fixed. I come to pick it up with another bill for $100. As im driving home the SAME thing happens again. At this point i do not even want to take it back to the shop and be without a vehicle for another month.. so i will figure this out myself or with another shop.

Get ready to bend over, its going to be pricey!! They will mis quote you then yell at you for questioning it. I was told parts would cost me 160+labor, ended up only being 100 for parts but the labor was alot higher, price ended up being about $30 more than quoted, if i would have known i was paying more for labor than parts I had cheaper options. Should have done my own research on parts first thats my fault.

My 77 yr old mom took her 1967 Volkswagen beetle here because it would pop out of 3rd gear, its a manual transmission. They initially had it for 2 months before giving her a diagnosis. They said that 3rd gear and synchros are bad, they said that they couldnt find those parts but they can install a rebuilt transmission for a $800. They told her if they ever did find the parts it would be $700. She gave them the go ahead. When she went to go pick it up it up the bill was $800. She said Oh I see you put the rebuilt transmission in. They said no we found the gear and synchros, the extra hundred is for an aftermarket shifter. My mother is painstakingly trying to restore this car to original condition and didnt want the aftermarket shifter, by the way the new interior she had just installed was ripped up and hindering the gas pedal from operating properly, very dangerous. We took it back, they put a stock shifter back on it, on the way home it would pop out of 3rd gear again. Took it back they had it for 2 more weeks and mike said they failed to install the 3rd gear and synchros properly and they would need it for 2 more days to redo job. We asked for a refund and they gave it to us. We took it to a VW shop they said that the transmission has original gears and synchros in it and the transmission has never been apart and the aftermarket shifter would actually hold the gears into position. Short of the story, they installed a $100 after market shifter, and charged for transmission work, thats dishonest. Mike tried taking advantage of an old lady. If he was honest from the get go I wouldnt be posting this. She has had fantastic experiences with her regular mechanic who recommended this place, now he sends his business elsewhere, he doesnt do transmissions. Please avoid this place. Mike you know you did us wrong you say one thing then never do it. On 04/17/2017 I called you at 8:30 am you said it was done but you had to test drive it and give you till 11am I gave you my number and you never called me back, I had to call you. Your son said on 04/10/2017 that it would be done by 04/14/2017 I gave him my number and he never called me. MIKE All I ask is respond to this respectfully and admit you were wrong and that will go along ways. I was an automotive technician for 20 yrs and from the get go once I got involved there was just not something right about the automotive lingo they were using. I can keep going on but I feel I got the main parts. Check the other reviews! They only respond to positive reviews????????????? That means that the positive reviews are probably from family and friends. Do not take your car here.

Took them over 2 months and 4 tries to get my transmission to stop leaking, picked it up again today and its still leaking. taking it somewhere else this time.

I had a leaky driveshaft seal that would drip oil onto my garage floor so I took it in to be replaced. When I got home it was still leaking so I thought it might be excess oil on the frame from before the repair. I wiped it off and it is still leaking oil. I thought they would know how to fix it since their name has the word transmission in it and the seal is part of the driveline...I guess not.

Took three weeks to complete a rebuild I was quoted a week. Out of 75 days since original completion. Truck has been back in shop 3 times, total of 31 days down. And have to return for a 4th.

Well I dont know if I like this establishment or not, I was infact looking for my Chevy Truck that was stolen on Friday 8/24/18 well actually Sat the 25th cause it was any where between the hours of 1am to 7amI was checking to see if it was there
