Great service! The manager, Vince, always goes above and beyond to make sure my glasses fit and I’m satisfied with the experience. I have been going to this location since 2017 and have always had wonderful service.
We went in yesterday, the women who helped us was rude, didnt explain anything with our insurance, she just assumed my husband was going with the same as 5 yrs ago!! And did everything then told us it was 165.00, we asked what that amt. Was for? Then she had attitude and unwrinkled the paper all mad that she had written on and showed it to us. We then told her to make adjustments to the fees, she completed our glasses then just handed my husband the the receipt. Not even when to expect the glasses!! Very unprofessional. We will pick up our glasses when completed and never return to this Visionworks!!!
You need an appointment but they also don’t answer the phone. :(I went there anyway and was told by one person they could “squeeze me in” (there were only two customers) while another person was trying to schedule me an appointment for a future time.I just wanted to get pricing on lenses. Not going to make an appointment for that.The other four places I went today were happy to share their pricing- and it was still Covid safe
Vince, the manager is the worst manager I’ve ever met. He was super rude to me on the phone both times I’ve talked to him. The first time was about rescheduling my contact lens fitting appointment and he said he would call me back to fit me in. Two weeks went by and not a single follow up call. I spoke to him yesterday asking if he could fit me in because I haven’t been able to get a contact lens prescription. He asked “how do you know you’re contacts are here?” Obviously I spoke to him two weeks prior and he told me my contacts were there. He proceeds to have an attitude and finally called me yesterday afternoon and asked me to come in Saturday.Front desk female is always on her phone. This place needs a real manager.
The absolute worst contacts known to man!!! They cost me an arm and a leg just for them to SPLIT IN MY EYE, not once but TWICE ! They continue to act up multiple times a day without me touching them.
Dont waste your time coming here. Unprofessional. They made me drive a long ways just to tell me they dont take my insurance. They said they would call and did not.

Horrible experience I waited 1 month for my appointment they don’t have appointments to see doctors soon I changed my work schedule in order to see them. I get there and they say my insurance wasn’t active. My insurance company changed due to no notice by my employer. And Visio works says they called me to let me know 1 or 2 days in advance. About my insurance being not active. And I had no message or call whatsoever. I could have called my insurance company ahead of time. To figure this out with time . I heard they did the same thing to the patient before me. They said your insurance isn’t active. I mean notification with time at least.
New to area all the way from Texas. Very helpful and quick appt. Vision works is great here and in Texas.
Overall experience here was good. Dr./staff especially girls who helped both my husband and I with our paperwork and eyeglass choices were very informative, patient and polite.We were never pressured to make any decisions and I was fortunate enough to have got my second set free. Setting was very clean and we felt very safe.
New to the area was considering becoming a patient went with my boyfriend to help him pick out glasses and was met with a blonde snobby lady who rudely demanded I left the building because there cant be outsiders in.. mind you the whole lobby had one person in it, but okay... how am I supposed to find out if I like this store and the selection they offer if I can’t even help him pick out a pair of glasses. I could understand not bringing your entire family and all but really you can’t have a plus one? I’ve always had someone with me to help make sure I pick out the right frames. Just based off that brief and haste encounter I definitely don’t want to give this place any of my time or money. Much better places with much KINDER staff! Also they dont size the frames to your face without a appt.
I’ve always have had an great experience at this location. Now, with the pandemic, the staff made sure things were clean. The patient were social distancing and the experience was pleasant. Once they reached capacity with patients. They would lock the door to ensure the safety. Again, I have always had a great time and experience now going on 4 years here.
Thank you Visionworks! The staff and doctor were very nice and make you feel very comfortable and welcome. Tawny, my salesperson, made picking out the right frames for my new glasses easy and fun. Thanks again to everyone at Visionworks.
This exam was alot more detailed than last year at Costco. Pleasantly surprised
I appreciated the safety precautions they were taking during this Covid time. The low numbers of customers also allowed me to be seen right away. The exam was friendly and professional. All in all, a great experience so I will be making my childrens appointments here as well.
I made an appointment with them online several weeks ago. I called them ahead of time (maybe a week or more) to ask them what my insurance would cover exactly and no answer from their direct line. I think I tried this at least 3 times-- NO ANSWER. So I call their hotline and 15-25minutes later someone finally answered just for them to say they would have the store call me back but they still didnt resolve my issue. Only to find out that on my actual day of appointment, I had to pay a total amount I could not afford because my insurance basically covers nothing-- the same amount I paid without insurance last year. Mind you, I had already paid half (exams) of what they charged so I thought why not just pay in full now that Im here anyways. So I waited one hour to be charged the total amount, but due to technical difficulties after ONE whole hour, they asked if I minded them calling me later. They called me twice at the time I asked for them to call me, but unfortunately I was still at work, so that didnt work out, so I kindly asked for one last call back and they havent call me back. Now I guess Ill just call their hotline again for them to call them to ask them to call me back. SMH.
I had a great experience at Visionworks. Care was given to keep everyone safe with distancing and sanitization. I was seen quickly and felt I had a thorough eye exam.

Had about as good of a time as you can getting an eye exam done. The doctor was professional as well as everyone else in the store. They helped me get the glasses I wanted quick and easy.
The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. They had a large variety of frames. My sales person could of been more attentive with helping me select my frames and more informative of what my options were. She seemed to be more focused on completing the sale and putting everything into the computer.

I was there to fill my teens prescription, try and order glasses with my teen daughter.Great things that made me feel safe and taking care off:- By appointment only- All staff with masks and gloves- Temperature check- Questions about my recent health and contacts.- They give me hand sanitizer & gloves.- Trays for what I touch, so nobody else touch until is sanitized- Watching staff disinfecting surfaces- Great attention to detail (customers service A+)Thank you Visionworks Tucson Spectrum Plaza!
Weve had enough with the incompetency at this particular location from issues with appointment times, prescriptions with no signatures, bad attitudes with people in front and in the back. Makes us wonder about the comptency of the Doctors doing the exams. Well never go back to this location.
All the workers were very nice and friendly, they went above and beyond to get my daughter seen and examined, i was very pleased with their service
They messed up my order so I ended up paying for rt and lft contacts when I only wear a left one. Went in recently to order contacts and told them about the past screw up and I only need the left eye. He goes into the computer and there are two separate prescriptions. One for left eye only and one for both...hmmm. Dont know why? I get home and notice that this prescription is for entirely different brands. So I make a phone call. The same guy answers and I tell him this and I would like a sample lens to try as its different than first order. He checks with the new doctor as the one I had is no longer there. Needless to say its been a couple weeks and Im out of contacts. No offer to fairly compensate me for the messed up first order. I guess I will call again tomorrow....sigh. 😡

Unreal. My nephews appt was for 215 today, got here at 140 to look at frames, and now it is 250, and STILL HAVE NOT BEEN SEEN.. ugh I mean, they want you here 15 min before the appt, and they cant be bothered to be anywhere close to ontime?

Went in for an eye exam. Staff was not very friendly. Doctor kept asking me if I could see better or worse and it just kept getting worse ended up with the wrong prescription. Ask the girl if the number on file was correct before I leftshe said yes called and my glasses had been there, the number was wrong.
The office is nice and the staff is great. They hired a horrible optometrist. She has no manners. We will never go back again.
First time to visit Visionworks. Both my wife and myself were impressed with their excellent customer service. The doctor was very knowledgeable and professional in her expertise. Great experience and definitely recommended.
Wide selection of frames but they are way overpriced. At other places for same exact make/model frames my insurance would cover the frame 100% but because of the retail price of the frame here, I had to pay almost 70 out of pocket.Plus, the woman helping me tried to tell me that I should get a coverage plan for the glasses in case of damage but I explained my insurance covers that and she kept telling me it didnt. I called my VSP insurance (who Im told owns VisionWorks) and they told me damage is covered no matter where I get my glasses and no extra coverage is needed.Only reason I went here was because of Covid the wait is long to get into any place for eye exam.Wont be going back.
I was very comfortable with the doctor and picking out my glass. Georgia was amazing in trying to help me. The only thing is I was helping them to translate for there Spanish speaking clients. I think they might need to think of other ways to be able to help the clients.
First I love the doctor at vision works however I am no longer able to get my glasses there so was quite disappointed by that. They no longer have a lab that does progressives and the streamline of ordering glasses as they told me prevents me from getting transition for my progressives due to my prescription. Even though I give the doctor and staff five stars I cannot in good consciousness give the business that.
The customer service is not like the other locations! Blonde-haired woman in front is super rude.

Sometimes you happen a place that goes above and beyond. This Visionworks is one of those places. They worked quickly to provide me with a pair of great glasses. When I went to get them, the prescription was wrong (my fault, they had nothing to do with that) and they managed to get me into to see the eye doctor very quickly to have the prescription corrected. Once they had the correct one, they got to work and I had a pair of glasses and sunglasses that worked beautifully at no extra charge for the change. They were kind and helpful. There was no pressure or constant badgering. It was one of the best experiences I could have hoped for at an eyeglass place. Not only can I not recommend them enough, I know I will visit them again when I am back in the area. Customer service at its finest.
Had a great experience here. Angela was a great help in selecting my new frames. She was honest in her opinion on my selections and we narrowed it down together so I found the style I was looking for from their vast selection. She also steered me towards the right lenses for the issues I was having with my old pair and she didn’t try to get me to spend over my budget. The exam was thorough and the staff was very pleasant. I’ve worn glasses for 40 plus years and I’ve been to lots of vision center and this was one of the best experience I have had yet.

My Dr was kind and she was accommodating to me being that I am in a wheel chair. She took time to listen to what my needs were and was very helpful in finding solutions. I had my first appointment 02/06/19. I have worn glasses since I was 5 and I’m 25 currently so I have a pretty good idea when something isn’t right. The doctor who examined me was older, he did seem like he was forgetting steps, and what I thought was odd was at the end of the exam he didn’t show me what my lens would be. I have insurance through my work so it was fine as far as price.I waited more then a month for my glasses and turns out they never ordered them! I also was supposed to get trials and I finally called in April and same thing they were never ordered. I ended up going somewhere else so I never bothered to call them back because, what was the point if they forgot about me.If you don’t have serious eye sight issues I would recommend and the frames are decent. But if you have astigmatisms or rely on your glasses, find some where else.

This was the best experience I’ve had in getting glasses and contacts! All staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The process was very smooth and clear. The doctor I saw was very knowledgeable and actually seemed like she cared about me as a patient, not a customer. I used to go to America’s Best and the doctors there never made conversation and even seemed annoyed/bothered when I would ask them questions about my prescription, contacts, etc. However, Dr. Vass was so attentive and didn’t seem bothered at all about my concerns. The best part is my glasses were ready in about an hour! I recommend Visionworks to anyone!

Out of all the eyeglass places Ive been to this one has probably been the best.Ive made the mistake of going to other places I wont name names but, theyre under my reviews needless to say every time Ive been here theyve been good.Pricings is Fair and they have good deals as well. Found this app to be very helpful the eye doctors to be very accurate. I will be back.

I went for a contact/eye visit. during check in I asked the girls in the back if there was going to be a co payment. Both girls looked at themselves and shrugged... I ended up paying 60 dollars even with my insurance. for contacts you have to get a trial pair, of course I never got called when my contacts arrived.. somehow my number was incorrect which if they looked at the form I filled out it was printed clearly ( I guess it was going to hurt them too much to take a further look) fast forward to May, called the man on the phone ordered my contacts, went to look at frames and was told I wouldnt be able to get them due to the trial ones... no apologies nothing.... making appointment with the girls in the back is horrible... they need new jobs w/o public contact. Vision works needs to hire more professional people not these young people who dont even know how to make eye contact when someone is speaking to them. they basically told me too bad to sad when it came to scheduling... because i told them i had limited time due to working in Fire/Ems/911 field... they didnt even bother looking for a day that would fit, instead transferred me back to the front sales Its been a terrible experience, im currently waiting for my contacts and glasses..Would never recommend this place to anyone .
Just picked up two pair of progressive eye wear today, one of which was sun glasses. The frames fit well and the lens are absolutely perfect. Very good service. i see well again. Will be back in the future.
Terrible optometrists with no patient skills. Worst eye exam Ive ever had. Go anywhere else. The office workers were ok but never had an optometrist that bad.
Love their doctors and doctor’s office staff. Frames and lenses staff was rude. I was having a bad day and didn’t feel I could pick out frames or make choices about lenses. When I told her that she said “Fine.”, and got up and walked away from me. Maybe I was too sensitive because I wasn’t feeling well but she seemed very rude. Will go back to look at frames etc. but if they’re rude, I’ll walk out and go somewhere else.

Dr. Velasco and her staff are amazing! I have seen Dr. Velasco for 3 years in a row now and Ive always been happy with her. She is very patient and sweet. This last time I had issues with my contact prescription and she took the time to figure out the issue and correct it. I definitely recommend her.

Dr Judy always pays attention to detail and is so caring in my husbands exam as he is deaf and uses a walker. She answers any concerns we might have and never rushes through the exam.

I was told to take old glasses! Went to hand to Dr she didnt take them! Not happy with my glasses ! I wouldnt recommend this place! I have glasses which I can only see through a the center of the glass ..If you try to use your peripheral vision it’s blurry . It seems like I paid $550.00 to see through only a pea size of my lens ..I don’t understand..I also can only read at the lower part of my frame ..I mean literally only at the frame ..My vision seems to be getting worse by using these glasses..The staff is great but what does it matter if you can’t see..

My wife went in for blurry vision paid $60 for the visit and was told to go to the ER with nothing done by this facility. When I called in to get a refund since no services were provided. I was told to bad thats how it works. There are a lot of vision centers and I would recommend quite a few. But not this one. If you can find another facility for your vision needs.

Horrible experience. They dont have the same collection online and in stores. I was also told they could not order any of their online collection to the store. I would have to order myself and go back in store to get them RX. Their buy one get one free deal is not as good as it sounds. And the doctor was extremely rude to my almost 2 year old daughter. She asked me if she was a boy or a girl!!! >:/ mind you she had a huge big bow on her hair and pink pacifier. Those are think you dont say to a new patient/potential client. After so much frustration with the sales guys I asked for my RX because I did not wanna shop there. He then walking away from me and began helping someone else. I never received and apology or even a bye thank you for coming as I walked away.Oh yea they take carecredit, but are completely clueless on how it works which didnt help because that was my first time using it & I had many questions. You also cant combine your vision exam with your glasses purchase on one carecredit transaction, because they are considered different stores within the same store which really sucks.I will definitely NOT be going back.
