I just moved to Tucson within the last year and this has been the absolute most helpful store ever. I used to go to a Music and Arts in Maryland (no idea it was the same place) and I can say that their customer service is above and beyond across the country! I took a bass with a broken bridge to a certain big box retailer and all they could do is stand there with a shocked look and say they couldnt do anything for me. I went to Music and Arts (shouldve gone there 1st) and was treated like I was the only customer in the store. They have been in touch with me to inform of any updates, and are friendly and knowledgeable. Great store!
I used to be loyal customer for years. Howerver, M&As new strategy of Paperless receipts, requires that I provide my email address for a purchase. Their paperless reciept excuse is nothing more than a strategic excuse to obtain email addresses so they can spam. When I stated I do not provide my email, they refused to sell me a service. I have since found a local music store that is more friendly and will no longer use M&A.
We have been customers of this store for almost 2 years. Heaven, Marty and their staff are always friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about their products, lessons, instrument repair, etc. Our daughter has taken lessons through their store and scheduling and payments are a seamless process. Very accommodating with changes when needed. Excellent instructors....can’t say enough about them. “Open Mike” nights were fun and can’t wait for them to resume. Safe place for your kids for lessons. Highly recommend.
I cannot recommend this store enough!! They supported our displaced music students (ages 15-9 at the time) throughout COVID with Zoom piano and violin lessons from wonderful, professional teachers (Ms Hawthorne and Mr Raiden) who lead them with enthusiasm and positivity, speaking goodness into their lives during a dark and difficult time. One if my children has special needs and this was not even a bump in the road for her teacher, Ms Hawthorne, who brought joy to every lesson! Heaven and the other managers and workers at the store also seemed to work hard to make the process seamless and easy for me, recommending the best teachers for the student as well as organizing times that would fit our schedule. Big plus!! Highly recommended.
Very friendly place and nice staff i went in to go see about getting a violin for music classes the lady that helped me was very nice.
As a musical novice I have always been uncomfortable entering a music store. Both Heaven and the owner (didnt catch his name) helped me feel totally at ease with my newby questions. I found a guitar package online that I liked, but wanted to shop locally so I asked if they had a similar deal. They had something right on the sales floor that turned out to be a better deal than I found online! Totally no pressure salesmanship here. It felt very much like the sales staff isnt there to try to line their pockets, but they work there because they love music. One of my new favorite stores in Tucson.
Great customer service! I have purchased one guitar from this location already & will be purchasing a second guitar tomorrow! I have worked with two associates directly, Heaven & Kara.Heaven, helped me with my purchase of an Epiphone ES 339.Both, Heaven & Kara, have assisted me with my upcoming second purchase. Indirectly, another associate named, Marty has been involved in this second purchase.Id recommend the staff & this location to anyone from the beginner, to the more experienced player

One of the worst experiences I have ever had dealing with incompetent employees all the way up to management (heaven) to even cooperate, I’m so thankful I no longer have to deal with any of these people again especially the guitar instructor, I did not appreciate every little comment he made about any of the equipment we brought in to shame my child because the items he brought in were passed down from his grandfather, I also find it way more convenient to order my items on Amazon for a much lower rate and to not have to deal with individuals that are looking to charge me an over priced rate, I gave a small shop a chance to help out locally and all they did was run the “he said she said “ experience, I will not and do not recommend this place to anyone, one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any facility . Good riddance !!!!
I went with a friend to get some guitar strings. We didnt know the best ones to get so we asked the associate Lucy what we should get. She was very helpful and we left with some good info and the correct string. Would highly recommend this store, they have great workers and a nice vibe inside the store.
My sisters and I have been coming here for years! We all have rented instruments and bought them. They are good about repairs and always tell us what is best to take care of the instruments and good quality. They price match reeds and misc. items . Always clean in the store too! Good selection in store always have what I need, if not I can order online and pick up in store . Heaven is great with helping us get the best payment plan and knowledgeable about music !
I was very unhappy with the way this store sold us an instrument after we rented one for over two years. We qualified for the rental credit and it was given to us. The problem was that they valued the used rental instrument at $800+ and they sell the same one brand new for about $470. The reason they do that is that there is a clause that states that when using the rental credit one must buy an instrument that cost the same or more than the rental so they jack up the value of the rental. We were told that we couldnt buy the flute we had been renting and could not get a new flute because it wasnt equal or more value to the one we had been renting per terms of our agreement. They said that our only option was to purchase a used refurbished flute from the warehouse and it would be sent to us. We feel that this is a very shady way to do business. Not recommended. Helpful and friendly staff. I needed to order piano music from the same composer at two difficulty levels. I was then able to hold the hard copies in my hand and determine which book best fitted my piano student.They were very accommodating during the whole process and there was no pressure to purchase either book if they did not meet my needs.Always a pleasure to work with kind and reasonable people.
Good selection and prices. We frequent this store for strings, drum accessories and purchased a guitar here. While the staff sometimes dress a bit goofy, they have been very friendly and helpful.We support local businesses when we can, and they have competitive prices.
Just want to say that I am a fan of this store. I think they do a great job at helping people find what they are looking for and have them leaving satisfied with their musical purchases. With that being said, I want to make a point that only having one store closer is unsafe. Multiple times in the past year I have heard of there being theft. I’m concerned for the employees’ safety and customer safety.Protect your employees! They make the company money!
My son takes trombone lessons with Jake, and he looks forward to going to every lesson. Jake is patient, explains things very well and is able to connect with my son. The store staff is also knowledgeable and very friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone.
I had a great experience and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Store is extremely organized and clean; its obvious that the staff takes a lot of pride with the business and helping customers satisfy their musical needs! I strongly reccomend anyone that wants to learn to play an instrument (both beginner and advanced levels) to consider Music and Arts, as their teachers are very experienced and patient.

My son is taking band for the first time this year. The associate made the process of renting his instrument totally painless. All I had to do was fill out a little paperwork and pay. We were in and out within 10 minutes. :)
Very attentive staff. The manager was interacting with my family as soon as we walked in, which made it all the more enjoyable. The team is there was streamlined and efficient in writing me up. The kids were aloud to play the instruments while I took care of paperwork. I will definately be returning
The worst place ever.. Always pay my rental before its do and yet still get notices in the mail saying not paid.. They never get the billing correct.. I even got a collection letter 2 months after I even returned the instrument in and have proof of paid in full yet they say it was a computer problem.. This place sucks.. Never doing business with them again..
