Dochi are a cross between traditional mochi and donuts and the hybrid is unbelievably delicious. It has a little chew beneath the traditional donut crust and is moist and tender. Toppings vary from week to week but they usually offer some variety of ube with glaze or icing as well as creative combos like strawberry pocky, red velvet, coffee and cookies or fruity pebbles to name a few. Servers are fast and friendly. This Dochi is located inside the Asian market so there is plenty of parking. Tip: Get the half dozen - the box is very sturdy (survived an airport trip and five hour plane ride) and the Dochi donuts keep surprisingly well, they were just as good up to two days later. They aren’t cheap, a half dozen is $15, but worth every penny IMO.
The chewy doughnuts here are so delicious. However, as it is famous, there are not many kinds of donuts as time goes by.We went around 3:30 p.m. and the doughnut type is the same as the picture. After a while after our accident, the doughnuts were all sold out.If youre going to buy a variety of doughnuts and lots, I recommend going early.
I dont have much of a sweet tooth, but I will say that these donuts are a new favorite! These mochi donuts are very light, airy, chewy, and not overpoweringly sweet. The round sections break off nicely, making it a shareable treat. The green tea had an interesting flavor which I enjoyed, but the ube and fruity pebble toppings were my favorite! Its quite pricey for half a dozen, but I will come back to try the other flavors when Im in the Tukwila area!
Yes, it is a little pricey, but these donuts are so unique! The texture is chewy, yet it still somehow manages to melt in your mouth. My favorite flavor is the cookies and cream. Which thankfully, they always seem to have!My only suggestion is that they add more flavors and rotate some of them out. I’m sensitive to matcha (tea gives me headaches) and the other flavors are just not that good… I’d love to see some sort of vanilla/birthday cake flavor or even just chocolate. Otherwise, this is a cute little shop!
So glad they still have a location open in Washington. The Chinatown location was okay, tasted more like a regular donut with cool flavors and toppings. This place however actually tasted like Mochi donuts and might be the best one I’ve tried! I love all their flavors with the strawberry and taro being my favorite. The lines go by fast, large parking lot. This place is hidden in the back of the lam seafood market. I wish they had longer hours. I would definitely recommend this spot and will be coming back soon!
It wasnt bad but wasnt great. I think I was expecting more but it reminded me of day old funnel cake. Yes Ive eaten day old funnel cake. Maybe if it was warm it wouldve been different or if I got a different flavor. For me I probably wouldnt pay to eat one again unless I was going with a friend because they wanted to try it. I think I had an higher expectation because of the hype and long line. I would however try one because they are tasty and like Andrew Zimmern says if it looks good, eat it..
Pros: just amazing donuts!!! Our favorites are cinnamon. Kids love pink poke ones.Great fun donuts for all to enjoy.Cons: you must consume them that day. Once we tried the next day and it didn’t taste nearly as good. And also very pricey - for a dozen it’s over $30!
Some of the best donuts Ive ever had, made me miss Japan even more
These were great fresh. However left overnight, they get a strange plastic smell / taste. Seems to come from the boxing.
There is literally a digital sign that gives you the prices and the flavors. In the times that I have been here, not once has there been a person with a cattle prod trying to make me move through the line at a speed I was uncomfortable with. Also, I have ordered things off of a menu before, thus preparing me for the situation some seem to have trouble with.It is possible that you could get anxious while ordering, at which point you could have stepped aside and let someone go in front of you. The employees are helpful and happy to be there from what I can tell. The donuts? To die for. So damn delicious! Get more than one...trust me! Fruity Pebbles for the win!
Pleasantly surprised the doughnuts were made with ruce I think instead of wheat.
I came here with a friend for the first time and the area was really cute to take Dochi donut pictures. 100% instragramable. The package for individual donuts and for the boxes are also really nice. The plastic for my individual donuts felt really sturdy and you could reseal the top after taking one of the out which was a huge bonus. I recommend the Red Velvet Coffee and Pumpkin Cream Cheese. I didnt expect them to taste that good. I think there were bits of instant coffee in the Red Velvets icing which made the coffee flavor really pop. It was good!
The donuts are very good because they arent as sweet. The flavors are not dependent on sugar to taste great. The signage or whatever could be improved. It was my first time there and when asked what I wanted for my donuts, I just briefly scanned the varieties and blurted 2 of each and ended up with a dozen. Luckily, it worked out for me. Its just that for my first time to a place, Id like to know what Im getting into without feeling like I should already know.Which donuts are which flavors. I still dont know what I bought beyond the matcha/green tea donuts and fruit pebbles donuts. The remainder are a mystery. All were delicious but yet and still.
I had a hankering for donuts and this was close by. It was almost closing time, but I was never rushed. I chose just one donut, a classic combo of chocolate and nuts, but I was given an ube and coconut one as well (apparently for my unborn baby 😆). Not only did this generous gift make my day, but this was my favorite of the two! Because of excellent customer service and my new favorite kind of donuts, Dochi has earned a new customer. I only wish I lived closer! 😢
Ive been wanting to try these mochi donuts and was surprised to see a short line as Ive heard others have waited for hours. The donuts were just okay for me and my family. The presentation was beautiful, but the flavor was very underwhelming. The donuts were pretty bland, and they were not hot and fresh. Im guessing because they had to be cooled down before decorated. Glad I didnt have to wait in a ling kine for these.
Donuts are expensive and I think they give me massive heartburn. Im glad theyre not closer to my location, otherwise I would have less money and be in more pain.
Interesting variety of doughnuts. It would be good if they gave more information about why these doughnuts are different
Amazing customer service. I went there with my baby daughter today 01/26/2021. The girls are super nice and very attentive. Dochi tastes amazing. This place is 10/10. I highly recommend it.
Web says gluten-free. Donuts have wheat. Why you do me like this Dochi? Love, a sad girl celiac
Picked up 1 dozen donuts. Kinda unusualType of donut but good I keep going back.
The mochi donuts were good. 10/10 would eat again. They also have dairy. And Im lactose intolerant. The saga continues.
Too overhyped. Presentation is cute. Customer service is nice. But $15 for half a dozen isnt worth it. Its basically just paying for a strong box rather then quality mochi donuts. My reccomendation to you who are checking if Dochi is good. Each donut is $2.75, For the same price you can go to Legendary donut and get something 2x bigger, tastier, and fulfilling. If you go to Krispy Kreme you can get a dozen with that cost. If you want something similar to mochi bread I suggest you go to popular asian/korean/chinese/etc. bakery.
Always clean and nice. All staffs are very friendly. I love the texture of the doughnut. Chewy
The donuts are so cute but are not worth the hype. I ordered the ube and green tea donut and they both tasted nearly the same. The donuts are overpriced for the disappointingly bland flavor and the actual amount of dough that you get. Staff was fast and courteous, which was Dochi’s only redeeming quality during my visit.
We finally got to try them for the first time ever and are IN LOVE!!
Stopped by because I was in the area and LOVE mochi doughnuts. They were really good and reminded me of the ones in Japan but not as soft but they were still delicious.
Always best service and flavors. Tasty and fancy.
Located in a pretty aesthetic area and what they offer is pretty unique in the U.S. w/ it being delicious to top it off. If you think of it as a typical donut, the price may be a shock. But it’s a dochi.
Ive never had a mochi donut before and these donuts have made me obsessed. If you like chewy and pillowy textures, these donuts are perfect for you. I also like that they arent overly sweet. One thing to consider is that the flavors dont drastically vary between donut flavors since the base batter is what really shines, but thats a good thing!
I hate donuts, but not this ones. The best, not oily and nice flavor!!!
So good! Stopped by the market and had to check this place out. Chewy donuts. Good flavors, loved the churro one. Will becoming back.
Wonderful employees and very helpful. Delicious donuts 🙂
The mochi donuts are amazing and we get them every chance we are in the area! We bought a few dozen as Christmas gifts for family and they were a hit when we dropped them off!!
Flavors are amazing not to sweet! Pleasantly surprised by the red velvet coffee one. Machi and Churro are favorites. I use to only get donuts when we went to Portland, but these are worth the $$
I just had my first Chaco Churro. It was bliss! I felt like I took a bite into a cloud. It was delicious! Please add information on Dochi ingredients and nutrition on Dochi website. Also are Dochi pastries gluten free?
Love donuts
Yummo. And the staff is nice.
Love there dochi selection for today!! They even gave me a free only after I bought a half dozen!!
Ive never been here.. I loved it here...
Yummy donuts. Friendly staff. Very clean.
Fantastic donuts! Bit pricey but worth it.
Delicious, chewy donuts, great customer service, quick lines!
Delicious donuts! So happy this location is now open in Tukwila.
My favorite is the taro and macha green tea?

Food not to my taste
I like donuts. Ha... ha...😀
Love it
Japanese is also available.Dochi is located in Lams Seafood Market. It is delicious and reminds Mr. Donuts / Pon de ring. Its not like sticky mochi or mochi icecream skins. But its like tapioka waffles texture. Love macha dochi. Wish they have Taro dochi all the time ..The parking is critical even during day time.Dochi is located inside the Rams Seafood Market. The image is a food court. I remember Mister Donuts Pon de Ring. The bigger the price, the higher the price (maybe Mister Donut is just a reasonable price). Taro and matcha flavor are delicious. The parking lot was crowded even during the daytime on weekdays.
