Visited here a few years ago and the staff was great. Had good quality items for my archery needs and friendly/knowledgeable staff. But when I went a few days ago the staff acted like it was a problem to help my husband with his very first bow. Almost like it was inconvenient that we were there asking them to help make minor adjustments and help him figure out his draw length on the bow that he was given. They would have preferred that we spent several hundred dollars buying a brand new bow from them that was already preset with everything he needed. They didnt even tell him what his draw length is, nor did they give him an idea of what arrow length he needed. Go to Bass Pro if you need assistance, or even Bills Sporting Goods in Claremore. They offer a lot more knowledge and training to help a beginner understand the general workings of even a slightly older bow and help you figure out what needs to be added or removed for it to work for your specific needs.
I am a total beginner and the guys at Archery Outpost took the time to explain things in laymans terms. I really appreciated their time, knowledge and professionalism. This is a first class outfit with first class staff. TY and Jim were outstanding and I see why people told me to go here in the first place.
Just good ole boys taking care of folks. Highly recommend
Very professional. After being out of bow hunting for many years I was impressed how they took time to help explain my bow and help correct issues I was having. They made me feel as if I was as good as anybody in the shop. They werent bothered by my many questions. I will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.
Took bow in to have new string put on and have a module ordered from Hoyt to shorten draw length. After two weeks of no news I called and was told bow was ready. Went to pick up bow only to find out they had put the new string on bow but said Hoyt no longer makes the modules for my bow. So now I have a bow with a new string that still has the wrong draw length. Would have been nice to have been informed of that before I was charged almost $200 for a new string. While at the store i ask about the paper tuning process. They inform me that the bow has already been paper tuned. I then notice that my drop away arrow rest string is not installed on the new bow string. I would assume if bow was paper tuned the arrow rest would need to be completely installed in order to do so, but Im no pro so I give the benefit of the doubt. When I leave the store I call hoyt myself and am told they do in fact make the module but I cant order it through them as an individual buyer, I have to go through a Hoyt dealer. I walk back into the store to inform them of my findings and have them order the modules. Another 2 weeks later my modules arrive. They are installed and I assume once again that the bow is good to go. Once I get home I realize they have still not installed my drop away arrow rest. The string is simply hanging from the rest, unattached. So I am over 4 weeks into the process only to have my bow still unable to be used. Will be taking my business somewhere else.
Over priced on the bows.
The most honest people in the business. Went in for a new string and ended up not needing one. Thank you guys.
Great guys, good prices. Got a D loop and peep sight put on my sons bow in about 10 mins. They also realized he was left eye dominant, which will help his shooting.
Took a friends bow in to have a new string put on it for them.. Figuring easy fix its a common issue but no... a archery shop in the middle of the busiest time. only should take a day or so after a week and no word I called and was informed that they ordered a string so then after another 5 days still had not received the new string ..i was told they could build one for the bow after almost 2 weeks of waiting was told it was ready.. What a waste of time and money I took my friends bow too him and the draw was not even close, length was way too short and bow isnt even close to being right I will never use them again. Going to cost more to fix the fix they put on the bow
I bought new arrows from this place, but when I got home and stared to shoot them, the tips came out, I called the owner up and he said the glue hadnt dried, I waited a week and tried to shoot again and the tips still came out. I wouldnt recommend
Had an issue with my bow that I had bought somewhere else. They got me in and had it fixed in just a couple minutes. They were very helpful and very knowledgeable archers. Id recommend them to anyone.
Very helpful. Restoring my bow and gave a novice some tips.
Great experience in getting set up with a new bow, arrows and release. They took their time and explained everything, even helped me sight it in as well!!!!
I know nothing about bows, but i got my husbands bow completely redone here and the guys working there were wonderful. Thanks he loves his bow!!!!
If you wanna build a bow I highly do not recommend this location due to lack of willingness to help a customer they do not help you in store they wanna take your bow and paper tune it after you leave and who knows if they actually tune it! Plus they never once checked to see if my bow was in time. They only wanna make money not help customers
These guys are great, they acknowledge every customer that walks in and are focus on helping you. I had a bow I wanted repaired and informed me they didnt have the parts there, they pointed me to a direction of another archery shop that would best help me and they were right. They didnt have to do that but they still have the interest of the customer in mind and thats rare nowadays.
Very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Great for all levels, inside shooting range is nice. Classes available. Prices very reasonable
Service was awesome! I dont remember his name but he was a younger guy and a bow tech. I was informed after 6 oclock he didnt get his hourly pay, but he stayed after hours to help set up my bow and was very courteous about it! I thought it was unfair that he was making the company money while not getting paid doing so. This bow shop will have my business for any problems or upgrades from now on.
Horrible experience! I had my wife drop off my bow first thing in the morning to get a new string put on. They were supposed to call me and let me know a price and how long it would take, they never did. I called them back the next day and was told they had to order a string and it would be a week or week and a half (seemed like a long time to me). Never called me back again. I called them after 2 weeks and was told it has been ready for a while (thanks for calling and letting me know). Went to pick it up and my quiver and arrows were not on the bow anymore and was told 99% of the time we dont let people leave the quivers on to save space on the rack. Well I look back and 3 of the bows on the rack have quivers on them and one of those is mine on someone elses bow. Im glad I went to pick mine up before that person, just incase they werent so honest. So all in all terrible service, bad communication, and costed 3x what I was quoted. Never again will I step foot in this place.
The guys here were very GOOD. They fitted both of us for our new Mathews Bows in no time. They were so good, my draw length & peep sight placement was spot on first time around! These guys are super easy to talk too, very flexible, and most helpful! While there on a few different visits, I got to see them help other customers with some bow problems. They treat all their customers fairly, regardless of how much money you spend, if any. They are happy to answer questions, so if youre not sure about something just call and ask. Its no wonder why they have had good reviews, they have earned it! THIS IS OUR NEW BOW SHOP!Thanks yall!
Went here two years ago to get a new string put on my dads old bow. After reading the review of how great this shop was, I was convince. I had also asked them to put on a G5 peep sight. When I picked up my bow from service, the guy there helped fitted my peep sight for me. I was an amateur at the time. I took the bow home and could not sight in my 20 yard pin. After days of research, I decided to bring my bow back in to ask for advice and adjustment. I called ahead of time, (living half an hour away), so I didnt waste a trip. I got there and told them I had called in earlier to see if they could offer any advice or make adjustment to my bow. The guy there said he doesnt know and gave me the cold shoulder. I was frustrated and upset with them for wasting my time and telling me otherwise. Being new to archery, I figured these guys would be more understandable of my situation for someone who was wanting to get into this sport. Luckily for me, Bill Sporting Goods in Claremore wasnt too far of a drive. I decided to go to Bill Sporting Goods and ask them if they could help me. Thankfully, the guys at Bill Sporting Goods were more welcoming, friendlier, and knowledgeable to help me setup my bow. All it took was to readjust my peep sight, since it was too high. I will NOT bring my business back to Archery Outpost.
Good people, nice shop, knew their craft... Not a better bow shop in Tulsa... Dont waste your time or money at bass pro, dicks, or academy.... Not if you want someone who knows what theyre talking about
All the best brands and pro-level shooters and tech’s to tune any bow new or old.
Great staff, my string got tangled pretty bad when I clipped my safety harness while practising. They quickly fixed it for me at no charge due to the severity. My new bow shop
They took there time to help me out and went above and beyond. What other bow shops have done in the past. It will be the only bow shop I use from this point forward.
Great place for all archery needs. Great guys. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I wont go anywhere else. Glad I found them.
Guys were very helpful and did a great job helping me find the perfect bow, i was happy with the price and they also have a lot of great animals on the wall. highly recommend this shop.
