A business still has to follow the law, even when a mandate is in place. A mandate is not a law. Uphold the law. Serve your customers. Do not participate in discrimination.

Always some great deals and good selection. The staff there are always helpful and friendly. When their stuff goes on sale you can get amazing deals. Really cute active wear clothes too. Something for everyone. A must shop place for camping trips. They have stuff you didnt even know you needed til you saw it. Highly recommend this location for a staff that goes above and beyond.

I like big 5.. but in-store stock has been low on shoes. service is good at front check out. however in shoe dept...not attentive, not helpful with product questions and all around lagging. used to be better. i recommended shopping online.

Just bought a Madd Gear kruzer 200 scooter for my 11yr son and he loves it, plus he says its way better than his razor scooter the wheels are smooth and glides over the sidewalk it pretty fast, it tall enough for me to ride as well its well built and highly recommend well be purchasing another one

Great staff, especially the girl named nav. She has great knowledge about background process of guns and ammunition. She takes her time to answer all question over the phone and will hold items for you. Go ask for her if you need excellent service. Best sporting store in town.

GUYS! GUYS! Had to go to the Turlock branch of Big Five. Gonna check out the fishing in Rio Vista, so while Im at it I upgrated my fishing license from a single pole to a two pole use and added A sturgeon license. Holding to make a killing, at least land a striper or battle a sturgeon. Either/or would be great but to nab both would be a dream day. OK guys gotta go. Going to Dollar Tree and Smart and final. Gots to have them theyre munchies while fishin. Who knows maybe well hook up out there.

Great prices but the store is crowded with merchandise. you need the helpful staff to navigate and sort through the piles of sporting goods and clothing that seems to accumulate each time I go in. They dont always have my size, but when they do the prices are great.

I went into the Turlock location on Thursday (4/24/20), which I have been a very loyal customer to, only to be told that I would need to wear a mask upon entrance in to the store. I did not have a mask, nor did they offer to provide me with one, so I was refused entrance. There has been no ordinance put in place that says we are required to wear a mask in Stanislaus county. I strongly believe that trying to force this issue infringes on my constitutional rights. I took my business else where and have no intent on returning to this store.

I have had good times and bad times in this store. The bad times arent too bad. Today was a great visit as the representative took time to explain things to me thoroughly. They almost always have what we need there. This is our go-to place for sporting goods.

I buy shoes here a lot. Sales people are good at helping you find what you want or getting you different sizes from the back. Clean store. Lots of sports/exercise equipment/gear/clothes. Skateboards. Balls. Cleats. Rackets. Weights. Some camping/hunting/fishing supplies/gear/clothes. Tents. Sleeping bags. Flashlights. Knives.

Super disappointed in this store! Was told I could NOT shop here today because I didnt have a face mask. I continued to walk in anyway and the manager literally chased me out of the store while saying You cant be in here! LMAO! N95 masks do NOTHING to slow the spread of this joke virus. Sheeple will be sheeple it seems. Never returning to this location again.

I tried going to big 5 on Saturday 5/30/20 but they required face masks. I refuse to wear a mask because they make me sick. I went elsewhere to get what I wanted. They will continue to lose business if this is how they operate.

Honestly this place deserves negative 5 stars I recently bought a shotgun waited the 10 days when the manager(david) himself said that I could come back on Sunday and pick it up at 8.10pm today which thats the exact time I arrived there with receipt in hand just to be told no we are closed and all they had to do was quite literally give me the shotgun now I have to come back the next day and drive all the way back out to this bs big 5 to get my shotgun which I was physically told by david the manager at big5 that I could pick it up on Sunday regardless of them closing at 8 way to get a sale david hope you feel good about yourself I travel for work this was such an inconvienece now when am I suppose to pick it up I strongly recommend that no one by a fire arm from david at big 5 he will just lie to your face

Good stock of merchandise, but the Workers are not very friendly. Also dont bother wasting your time time signing up for the membership to get the 10% off coupon because almost all items in the store are not elegible.
