We love to go by for dessert after a meal or just a few minutes of relaxing family downtown. LOVE the Coffee pop, but when watching calories, enjoy the fact that there are lots of tasty options available. Also, you can tast test to see if you like it! Highly recommend.

Tried to come in 20 minutes past closing (new COVID hours) without realizing they were closed. Once I realized, I just walked away and decided to come back another day. The girl ran around from behind the counter to tell us that we could order if we were paying with card. She was SO sweet even when she didnt have to be - she didnt even have to come out and tell us that we could still buy from them. I will 100% be back because of this - I do not know her name but it was Thursday night (8/20). Not to mention the popsicle (buttermilk per her recommendation) was incredible!!

My friend Grace has been hyping this place up to me for a while and last week, I finally took time to visit them. I must say...this restaurant lived up to the hype. They had great service and great food and drinks. Let me back up a little bit. As we entered, we were promptly seated and our waiter (who was super efficient and helpful the entire time) came by to talk with us.

I love coming here! I got mine dipped in milk chocolate this time and it was so good, and its not overpriced like you would expect for a dessert place downtown. Really nice staff too!

This is a place the kids and I love to go. They have so many wonderful flavors to choose from! They even have a Rewards program where you can earn free popsicles!Try the coconut or homemade vanilla. So so good.

We love steel city pops. Service is always friendly and they will let you get a different flavor if you purchase something you dont like. You can choose between water base or creamy. Its more like ice cream on a stick. You can get fruity with real fruit in it, or some with cookies or brownies. My personal favorite is the buttermilk. You can sit inside or outside on benches. Perfect for a after dinner dessert or just a snack. The flavors change with the seasons, its really neat

This location has extremely friendly employees and wonderful service (along with great flavors!). I recommend it to anyone who comes to town, and I always take friends/family by when they visit. The whole experience is wonderful & love that they respect their military/veterans too!

I first went to Steel City Pops in Birmingham off 280 and fell in love with their Pops. Each one is creative and I enjoy trying the flavors. My favorite is still the buttermilk. Each Ive been to since has always had kind staff. Thanks for being so good!

It was surprising to find an ice pop shop here. Looks like a very popular place. The young man at the counter was very friendly and graciously helped us pick a tasty pop. I ordered the egg no and my husband got the Pomegranate rosemary. Both were interesting and delicious. The clerk cut the package on the stick end and handed it to us so we could easily grab the pop out of the wrapper. Hope we get to visit here again.

These pops are delicious. But you have to get all the toppings. They are great by themselves. However I would recommend the chocolate dipped buttermilk pop!

Awesome pops. My entire team from work will occasionally walk down and get a treat, and were all fans!If you arent sure what to try, they have samples. My favorite at the moment is caramel apple, but thatll likely change the next time I go since all of their flavors so far have been great.Finally, they do have a rewards program for repeat customers. If youre a local, you might need it.

Always a friendly and informative staff. The seasonal flavors are classic but they also add some new and exciting ones as well.Amazing policy that if you dont like your pop, you can replace it with another for free.

Steel city pops is one of our favorite local flavor desert shops. If you find yourself in downtown Tuscaloosa walking on a warm night after a good meal, steel city pops is the perfect place to get delicious gourmet popsicles to cool off. I particularly love the coffee pop; give it a try!

The store is very clean and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. The company has a wonderful policy of trading out your popsicle if you decide you dont like the flavor you chose, making experimenting with new flavors more approachable. However, I have loved every flavor I have tried and have had no need to swap a pop out.

Best place to get well made, delicious ice-cream in Tuscaloosa. Yes, theres only pop format available, but you know what youre getting into just with the establishments name. Theyre delicious, they have a flavor rotation year long, the place looks awesome, staff are really friendly and so far, Ive never had a pop I didnt like here. Creative flavors and organic ingredients. Whether you live here or are just passing by, you should stop by this place as often as possible.

Blows normal popsicles out of the water; the creamy flavors are especially satisfying, and all the strange-sounding flavors Ive tried (like avocado) ended up being delicious. Delicious!

Omg....although the tamarind is my favorite and I truly miss the flavor being offered. Recently the Arnold Palmer was my second choice, then the Blood Orange and then the Strawberry Lemonade.

Haven’t been in a while but went recently. Menu had changed (no longer have the huge chalkboard). Very hard to read the new menu and they raised their prices (a friend told me that the prices have gone up ONLY in the Tuscaloosa location not in Birmingham! Guess they are taking advantage of the students here!). Almost $4 for a popsicle is outrageous. I ordered the buttermilk one, which has always been my favorite. I was so disappointed. I don’t know what was different about it but it just wasn’t the same. I ended up throwing part of it away. Won’t be going back anytime soon. Hate that it has changed - would have given it 5 stars a year or so ago!

I looove this place. Amazing ice cream! They also have vegan options if you are looking for that sort of thing. They usually switch flavors depending on season or availability... They also have a ton of different customizable toppings, drizzles, and dips.

I gave it a 5, but I want to give it a 4. No coconut?!?! So disappointed. But the blood orange was just right for a hot evening. Coffee is a good choice if you want a shot of caffiene. Not many bad choices, and the company has a good social conscience. Last visit, they had samples! Feels like cheating. You can almost get a free pops worth of samples!

The most amazing pops you will ever taste....I recommend the avocado or the tamarind if they have it. Amazing! I wish they shipped!

The price of the pop is high, the quality of the product is top notch. The cookie pops are fantastic, I like the peanut cookie pop and the oatmeal. This is from someone who does not crave sweets.

Steel City ROCKS! They often come to the University to give out free pops and the staff is great. The prices in store are on the expensive side but the quality and variety is absolutely worth the cost.
