What an amazing place! Visiting from California I missed my ukulele at home. They made the buying process short and sweet. It’s like they knew me for years! I walked in and just after a few questions from the nice young gentleman he knew just what I wanted. Found a great ukulele that just spoke to me! Great prices and amazing customer service. Walked out feeling so happy and satisfied without breaking the bank.

The guy with the Motörhead shirt helped me out a lot!! Sorry I didn’t catch his name but of the two guys I saw there he helped me pick the proper strings for an old guitar I drudged out of the basement. No need for a guitar center when y’all in Tuscaloosa can see these guys’ they are truly an amazing shop. Thanks again and will keep shopping here everytime I visit my family in T town!

One of my favorite guitar stores ever. Have a wide variety of guitars to choose, ranging from budget to high-end. Good effects pedal selection. Good amp selection. My favorite thing about this place is that every now and then, you can expect a gem. Something that stands out even among the super high quality Gibson or Taylor guitars. This doesnt apply to only guitars either. Their pedal selection will sometimes have a new addition that youd be incredibly lucky to find anywhere! Highly recommend this store to anyone who is in need of new guitars/guitar gear.

Guitar Gallery is just awesome! Their staff is probably the best Ive seen in a guitar shop. Theyre so, so helpful and knowledgeable, and they are always happy to offer assistance, which really doesnt seem common in music stores, anymore. Plus, they carry some seriously cool guitars, like Nash and Reverend, that you usually wouldnt be able to find in smaller markets.

I had my daddys Epiphone serviced at Guitar Gallery. Turnaround was quicker than quoted. Rates are also considerably less than Eat My Beats. They also sold me a hard case at an awesome deal. Wonderful staff! Ill be back!

Great selection of instruments, amps, accessories and vinyls. Although, the older manager (I think owner actually) with the shortish gray hair is usually rude, not very easy to talk to/work with, and doesnt seem to know much (or care to answer questions) about their items. So Id just plain ask someone else for help. But I will say that every other staff member there has always treated me well and has been very knowledgeable. Cool vibe most of the time.Theres another place called Tuscaloosa Music Service that just moved across the street. They dont have as good of a selection of new instruments, but they usually have some great used instruments there. And the guys there are incredibly comfortable to talk to, and have been kind to me every time Ive been there. I would definitely recommend TMS over Guitar Gallery any day of the week.

I always go here to check out their inventory and to get guitar work done. Jeff is a great guitar tech, his turnaround time is quick and his work is always quality and Ive never seen lower prices. Their inventory is usually vintage or limited edition items on consignment, always sad to hear when I missed out on a gem that came through.

I love this place. Theyre real musicians that actually want to help you. Its not the type of place where they breathe down your neck and pressure you into buying something. They want you to find exactly what youre looking for and if they dont have it theyll order it for you or wish you luck on your hunt for the perfect guitar. Ive been to countless shops and its safe to say this is the most comfortable one with the best staff. And they have a really cool unique inventory. Everything from top of the line boutique amps and guitars to beginner equipment and countless accessories. I havent had any repairs done yet but im gonna be getting some pick-up wiring checked out soon and its safe to say that I trust these guys with it.

Great place to shop for gear or records from some of the nicest and most helpful folks in the business. Some guitar shop or record shop workers have a chip on their shoulders or disdain for customers...not here. Friendly, helpful, and honest people selling quality gear.

Great guys, great store, lots of experience, & they also sell vinyl. I have stopped going to Bham for set up, etc., because Jeff is so good. If they dont have something, they can order it for you. They are a small store - the tryout area for electric guitar can really only accommodate ~ 2 people, but the used stock is generally very good and well priced, competitive. Generally a good selection of 2-700.00 guitars used, and a smaller selection of higher-quality used guitars. Good amp selection also. The guys who work there are generally excellent musicians, and very knowledgeable. Its a real music store, the kind I grew up with. The only con I can think of is that they are smallish - I wish they would build on the addition of a large room to the building they currently occupy for more room, they could easily fill it with stock and double their business, I am sure. Tuscaloosa loves these guys, Best Buy tried to compete briefly and were completely knocked out of the market by GG.Bottom line is they have figured out what a music store can offer - locally - to differentiate themselves from the pack, and that is customer service. They do it better than anyone I have visited. within 50 miles. Prices are good, and service is fantastic.

I dont know how the other reviewer came to their opinion, but mine has been the exact opposite. I have shopped at Guitar Gallery for over ten years now and have always received the best prices and services. Yes it is true that their selection of new guitars can be limited, but they have an amazing amount of quality used pieces and vintage gear. Also the owners Dan and Scott can get any new guitar in store if they dont currently have it on the floor and will often order it and beat internet pricing. Very cozy feel to the place, they dont hassle you about trying guitars out, and they are very informed about the gear they have in stock. Jeff is also a great guy to bring your axe in for repair or a setup. I couldnt recommend a better shop in Tuscaloosa.

Ive bought every guitar that Ive ever bought and owned from here except my grandfathers guitar Ive used this store for about 6 years and I love this shop its amazing rhe have a decent selection for the sized store it is but they also some drum stuff and other instruments besides guitars and they have records in the back room where some are old but in great condition all their products are in great condition and they give the best hospitality and advice for how to take care of your guitar to the best strings for a certain guitar theyre all great guys and although their selection is a bit small they are connected with gibson fender and epiphone so they can order directly from the factories and have a guitar that you want delivered fresh off the product line of your favorite guitar dealers all in all they are great guys who run a great shop with great quality and great prices!!!
