This place is good with lots of variety of different stuff but it is a bit on costlier side if you compare with walmart and way more costly than Costco. But, still it’s a good neighbourhood supermarket for emergency stopover. They do have pharmacy facility as well.

I was at Safeway to get some groceries but I always ended up appreciating the lovely cakes 🎂

I’m not allowed to purchase alcohol because I’m carrying an expired driver’s license along with an un-expired temporary driver license, this is my only way while I’m waiting from DMV to send me a carded driver’s license. I had no problem purchasing alcohol in other stores like Costco, and even other Safeway, this was also the legal way I used to travel to different states in the past month. What’s even worse is, the attitude I received from the store manager tonight was horrible, she treated me as if I were illegal to stay in the store and don’t even want to give me a better explanation.

Pricey but clean and good meats and produce. Great bakery and florist too.

Really useful shop for quick grocery shopping. However, the service at the fresh food/ ready meal counter is absolutely horrible. Only one person there, and often result of a long waiting line.EDIT: As of 02/20/2021 (which was a Saturday, so quite busy shopping week end day), it was even worse with NOBODY at all at the fresh food/ ready meal counter. Just a message that said out for lunch, will be back at 5:45pm!!!.

Safeway always has my gluten free food and I appreciate it.

This Safeway location is very helpful and they work very hard to accommodate their customers and workers. I have been going to this location with my family for about a year now and I have to say that they are all amazing! Tasha, Brittany, And Levi work so hard to make sure everyone is helped, if you need something they are well prepare to give you guide you and assist in any way. I have seen them deal with a lot of attitudes from people and they have anyways handle each situation accordingly and pleasantly. They never give up on there customers or staff. It’s amazing and feels great to see that people still care. You also feel protected at this location which is very much needed. They definitely deserve something special for all of there time, effort, and hard work. Thank you guys so much!!!

This is my favorite Safeway except for 1 horrid woman in deli (the boars head is excellent) Most cashiers are very nice, so is the manager. Staffing is an issue (just like everywhere else) people just dont want available jobs.

Safeway employees are really good as they help a lot if you are not able to find any specific item.

I really wanted to leave a good review because this is my neighborhood Safeway. Perhaps Im saddened on how unhelpful, lazy, impatient, and rude the employees are here.As a customer we are paying higher prices at Safeway which is ridiculous because the service is not there.

This terrible store. One of employee Chris big guy he had attitude he don’t know anything in store when i asked him something. Better manager should have him trained how to be friendly with customers. Terrible and horrible services they have. Managers are terrible in store as well. Over all experience was super bad. Hope Safeway higher authorities will look into this store and train them how to be friendly and laugh when they walk in and be friendly.

Everything seems fine. Just one caveat, it had only 1 counter on Friday evening. Checkout time was around 30 minutes.

I was much satisfied walking in the store seems like they have a whole crew of new workers. Shelves were stocked pretty well very nice to see the employees cleaning the carts on the outside.

Ive been shopping at this Safeway store on Woodside Road in Redwood City for the last 12 years. Nuff said🙂

Great liquor department. Self contained with its own register.

Everything you need. Groceries are well stocked and they recently re did their layout, so you get fresh items.

Tonight they were totally un-prepared they were on the middleof re organizing the store, but on another note the store is usually a very pleasant place to shop.

Its our regular place to shop. As expected from any Safeway, variety is there and nowadays they have lots of deals through their mobile app.

The lady at the self checking out was very rude.

They have curbside pickup which is what I used today they also take EBT cards which is good but make sure that the transaction goes throughcuz it looks like there was some difficulty with the transaction so Im going to have to follow up but overall Im happy with it .

So I tried this order online you know the pull up and go and I like it very easy very simple they didnt have a few of my products but its okay dont sweat the small thing and all I have to do Park in one of the designated parking stall on the sign they will have a number for you to call you also have the number in your email and there will be a number on the sign to say what parking stall you are in after you call the number say your first and last name and what number parking stall you are in they come and make contact and you pop your truck thats it and thats all oh the receipt in the bag

It seems to have what I need when I need it.. Of course the hardest things to get are still nearly impossible to get anywhere. The one thing I do dislike is that the lines for check out are VERY VERY LONG. I think it might be getting better but I wont hold my breath (sorry bad choice of words).

Never a pleasant shopping experience when I go here. Long lines, the security guards act they are guarding gold and you are there to take and not pay. Ive seen them literally follow people to cars and falsely accuse them of stealing and be wrong!

Safeway at the hub has always been a special place with good variety and sales.

One of the worst shopping experiences ever. The very rude woman that was running self checkout was terrible. She first doubted a sale price, pretty much calling me a liar when she sniped doubt it!, in a very demeaning tone. Didnt apologize when I was proven correct and then was rude again inputting the discount. When I had another issue with a sale price she simply walked away. She cant even do the job correctly. Horrible service and rude employee. They really should be more careful about how their employees treat paying customer.

Ghetto Safeway is not safe at night... Unless youre a young gun looking for adventure!

This place needs to hire more staff every time you come in here its a minimum of 30 minute wait just to get your stuff checked out.while its nice that its centrally located around a lot of residential areas its almost faster to drive somewhere else.and Im not talking just two or three people in line Im talking lines that go down the isles.

Ive always had long lines after 6pm. I only see 1 register open plus self service. It seems like a daily basis occurence.

I live Safeway. I can grab everything I need to cook and prepare any kind of meal that I want. I can always depend on Safeway having the meat, veggies and spices that I need to prepare the perfect meal. I can also pick up fresh bread, milk and butter and eggs. I can also grab cold cuts and cheese to make the perfect sandwich. Do you need dejon mustard for your sandwich ? Yes, they have that too.

Terribly managed. They usually have 2 check stands open, which usually means 20 minute+ wait between 3:30pm and 8:00pm. So dont buy anything that needs to be refrigerated on a weekday.Ive tried using the app here for my coupons and theyve not gone through so I stopped using the app. Its difficult anyways since I generally dont have a cell phone reception here.Also, be wary of their grocery pickup service. While waiting in line Ive observed people come inside wondering why their groceries are not ready for pickup.Its not just the check stand issues. This store is just not well run. Get your basic groceries anywhere else.

Horrible customer service. Slow checker that had problems with every customer. Including me missing ringing and charging wrong items. Called for Manager that added minutes. Apologizing.

There was a big scene a security guard saw a guy shoplifting and started yelling at him near the cashier and the door. I think he should have done it away from people like take him to the back where the storage supply is or something so other people wouldnt be traumatized by it.

My favorite Safeway in all the land. Only annoying factor is the parking was mapped for all the businesses in the complex before the population grew. Other than that, not too shabby.

The place was clean and the staff was very sweet and professional. Had a sanitizing station at the front door for the baskets which means a lot.

I rarely shop at this because the homeless are pushy. Today one whipped out his junk and flashed my 83 year old mother. Safeway wouldnt do anything about it.The stores dairy shelves were pretty empty today, no non fat milk, just whole milk. No half and half, and only non dairy whipped cream

This is what youd expect from a Safeway. Their prices arent the best, but are very convenient if you live nearby. They are open late so you can go whenever youre available. I generally have no issues with the staff. Generally a good place for quick groceries.

Its the closest market to our home. It is always busy, so that says something to the positive for them. Fresh veggies have been good; the fruit isnt the highest of quality. Overall, Id give them a reference to others.

So now the homeless have taken over the parking lot offering valet parking.They get in your face and ask for money .Used to be a nice store and at night they have a big concern for your Safty going out to parking lot. How nice . The police department hands are tied and can only do so much. So how about a protection racket to keep the homeless away I think it’s a great idea !

This Safeway is in a convenient place. Ample parking. Used to be open 24 hrs, but now open only till 11 pm.

The deli department is amazing! They are always friendly and help me out when I am ordering catering trays for work. They have accommodated me several times when I put in last minute orders. If you have never looked into Safeway catering trays, check them out! They have some really amazing options!
