Rosemarys was the first place my family visited when we moved here almost 10 years ago. Very Mom and Pop but classic cafe style. The owner is amazing and very professional yet like your neighborhood dad. Talked with my son and made things special when he was having a rough morning. Wish they were still open on the weekends, but my husband and I go sneak away on a quick lunch date during the week now and then

Restaurant is very quaint. Chicken Salad was very good. But I am huge on customer service. The person who took our order was not customer service oriented. My friends from San Diego noticed right away. I will not go back. I always believe a smile or a warm welcoming is you best asset.

Absolutely amazing!! We ordered the chicken noodle soup, Wednesday special (tomato bisque with grilled cheese), and the turkey reuben. The food brought me right back to nights at my great-grandmas house. Superb. The vibe is reminiscent of my grandmothers as well, in the perfect way. Even my very picky two year old devoured his chicken noodle soup. The vibe is very laid back, which we enjoyed. Cookies were great too! We are so happy we stopped in.

Nice little place. We are new here, and we decided to go here when we found out Christines was closed for the 4th of July holiday. Excellent choice! The food here is great!

This place is great. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, even gave me a sample of the chicken salad! Great local mom and pop shop with yummy food. I got the two scoops of chicken salad to go for lunch and it is my favorite. Would definitely recommend!

I saw that they promoted it as the “best chicken salad” so I had high expectations but the flavor was just so fresh and the texture was so varied and unique that I see why it earned the name. I got the soup and chicken salad on salad combo and it was definitely filling.Service: The place is like a old 1900s quaint cafe and has really nice jazz playing almost like in the Fallout games. The place was fairly empty when we went on a Thursday afternoon near closing and we got our orders in 10 minutes.Ambiance: Casual, but older audience!Really cute place that I’ll probably try again!

Such a nice little cafe with a truly genuine feel. The jaz playing lightly in the background and all the history around you, makes this place quite charming. Oh! And the sandwiches are delicious!

Delicious bread used for hot sandwiches (it seemed homemade? not sure). My Cuban was tasty. My brother got the tuna melt and he said it was OK. The army beans and ham soup tasted a little watery, so I would pass on that particular soup. But I would 100% visit again for another Cuban!

Best thing about this place is everything is homemade..even the bread. Fresh ingredients. Not a large menu but everything on it is absolutely delicious! I had the chicken salad 2 scoops. Very tasty

My lovely lady and I have eaten here twice. I recommend Rosemary’s Cafe to anyone visiting Vancouver! It’s perfect! 😁😁😁 We live in Oregon, about 40 minutes away and the staff, prices, and deliciousness are well worth the drive.

I guess us early birds have to wait till almost noon to eat. Just kidding, but what kind of a diner opens at 9am? Isn’t breakfast earlier..at least for the ambitious folks right?

Great 50s vibe and outstanding food.

Currently only take out. But still amazing food for breakfast or lunch! A local treat on the outskirts of uptown in Vancouver, WA. The owner would like to respectfully ask that you wear your mask while inside. He was very nice, and is obiding Washington state regulations for covid. Stay safe everyone, it is important!

Delicious food in a cozy, charming setting

We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and great food. I believe it was the owner who served us. He was very warm and friendly. The atmosphere is fun and classy, with eclectic decorating including different salt and pepper shakers on each table. I had the Everybodys Breakfast.

The Best Chicken salad lives up to it’s reputation! Great spot for take out orders only right now in the heart of Downtown Vancouver, WA. Cute ambiance, very clean and I’m very happy they are back up and running in spite of the current pandemic!

Such a lovely cafe. Very nice and peaceful ambiance. The service is wonderful, and the food is delicious. I had the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. I cannot recommend this enough.

Amazing food! Everything is fresh, great quality and, I believe, made on premises. The owner is a great guy, often seating and/or serving you, himself - though his waitstaff are always attentive and friendly, as well. We love the atmosphere, too! Great old music, that makes you feel good; add to that, the nostalgic decor, and you just come away feeling satisfied and happy! If you are looking for modern digs with techno music, you wont find it here - but youll love it anyway! Great selection of specialty teas - try On Blueberry Hill! Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but not long, and totally worth it! The place is popular with the locals - and for good reason. Go and savor every bite!

This is my third visit and Ive always had wonderful service matched only by the always outstanding food. Both lunch and breakfast are stellar examples of homemade cafe fare. Nice atmosphere; a throwback to the 30s & 40s provided by the tunes on rotation as well as the southern country decorum. Note that their hours have changed recently. Cold brew is a new option. I suggest the grilled breakfast burrito or adding a side of their special chicken salad to your sandwich.

One of my favorite places to eat breakfast. We always start with the coffee. Great service and good food. Cant say enough good things about most items on the menu.

When I first walked in I was in love with the place! The restaurant is clean and very well decorated with 1930s Americana. The service is friendly. I had the red lentil stew and side of greens. It was delicious! The flavors were very well applied to the dish. I would definitely come here again! It is a relaxing place to dine and enjoy good company.

I asked what they could I could have and still catch my bus in 6 minutes. They suggested The Best Chicken Salad Sandwich. It was a really good sandwich and I still caught my bus.

Wow. Im from Vancouver and am just now trying this place. Best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever had! Soup, coffee, and tea were all fantastic as well. Same with the service. Very impressed...highly recommended! Well be back!

I wish I hadnt taken so long to give this amazing little restaurant a try. These sandwiches are absolutely amazing!!!! Every person I send in there agrees as well. I always do take out but the atmosphere is so sweet like I just walked into Grandmas kitchen. Maybe even better than Grandmas kitchen when it comes to the food. They are always friendly and on top of getting your food to you quickly ( without losing the quality ) which is a plus when you only have so long to grab lunch. The mint ice tea is just as wonderful as my turkey cranberry sandwich too. Seems to be a perfect combo. Only down fall I have found is that when I am craving one of these amazing meals in the evening, I have to practice patience until they reopen the next day. Rosemarys is a must try!!!!!!

Best breakfast in town, great soups and sandwiches. Very friendly people. Good coffee with some espresso drink options. Atmosphere is very hip, 1940s style music and decor. I go there probably once a week.

This was a cute place and the tea selection looked good. The staff was friendly and sweet. However the food was basic and not very good. I got a coffee and it tasted like their espresso machine had either not been cleaned in a while or something was making the shoots taste rancid.

Fisrt visit to this new cafe, Cashier takes your order & you pay before getting your food. we ordered 1 meal with shrimp & fish & 1 soda . You can sit wher ever you want. Its a small place with about 15 small table. after about 10 minutes our greek salad with pita bread is servered, You can get your own drink. Then your fish with 10 shrimp & yellow rice comes on a real plate. Plastic forks. The fish & shrimp were very tasty, yellow rice had no taste. Greek salad was good was good . I would not get the yellow rice again. I would give this Cafe 3.5 stars. Rice needs more flavor. Shrimp were a little hard. They have a big menu.

Excellent service and price is reasonable 👍. Their Italian wedding soup and clam chowder (Friday) are delicious. Try anhalf sandwich and my children love the grilled cheese!

Empty and decent food

This place is a little treasure! They have the best sandwiches and friendly service. The ambiance is homey and cozy.

The two-seater table was pushed up to the window so close that the curtains were touching your cheek if you turned your head. The restaurant will not substitute sausage for bacon. No go!

Good food and average price. Except for having to pay to park, I love the restaurants and shops downtown.

Good plain food for lunch and breakfast. A cheery room filled with nostalgic artifacts from the 1940s and 1950s, the period when I grew up.

OK. Heres the thing. Food here is fine. Ambiance is pleasant. Pricing fair. But, how would you feel if you walked into a restaurant at 10:29 am for breakfast (served till 10:30) and they said they were only serving lunch. And, the place was ABSOLUTELY empty. Between that and being closed Sat/Sun (Really? Downtown Vancouver?), I think Im giving up on thus quaint-but-too-damn-quirky little spot.

I love the look and feel of this place. Now thats not to say that I dont see how busy they can be, but that doesnt mean that the food isnt worth the wait, because it is! I recommend you go down there with some time on your hands and enjoy some great food with a touch of the classics.

Very good homemade comfort food, friendly owners, and a cute little place.

Went with a friend early Friday morning. We were immediately greeted and sat by a kind older gentleman who offered us their in house cold brew coffee. We had a conversation on their cold brew methods that was very informative, and the waiter was very knowledgeable.The decor was very retro, 1940s with nice atmosphere. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The waiter did say that during lunch hours the cafe is pretty busy, but while we were there, 9-10am, there were only about eight people. All in all, it was a very nice experience with fantastic coffee. Would definitely recommend.

On Friday if your looking for excellent and the best Clam Chowder around in my opinion this is the best in Vancouver and Portland. It is only made with the basics. I only know of 4 places in Oregon and Washington to fined excellent Clam Chowder. Rosemarie is one, the other is a three chain restaurant located in Seaside, Warrenton and Long Beach. Believe me I have tried more Chowder in more Restaurants than you can count in these 2 states. The Pacific Northwest is Clam Chowder county.In addition they have a very good lunch menu and a second soup that is also very good if your not a chowder fan. When I am in Vancouver you will find me hear every Friday. Give it try you have nothing to loose.

Best chicken salad ever!

Nice cafe, very clean and the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. The smoked salmon chowder and the chicken salad are amazing.

The Food is good, no doubt about that. However there are lots of other good food places around. I think its important for a business to understand their impact on the environment which effects our family and friends presently and into the future. Not providing an alternative to your Styrofoam is unacceptable in the 21st century. I mean even Subway is now using paper! I choose to support businesses that care about more then just their bottom line.

Wow what a blast to the past and old style breakfast and lunch family-owned type Cafe. I had the meat scramble and it was delicious very simple very much like what you would make it home but the Rosemary Homestyle potatoes were perfect. The service is impeccable and it feels like youre having breakfast at your grandparents!

Love this place, one of my favorites to visit for some tea, or to take my mom out to lunch!

9 bucks for a sandwich that I can make in my pjs at home. I wasnt unhappy here. They just have limited space and a very limited menu. I will be back to check out their breakfast menu.

I had suggested to two other people we meet here for lunch. The two people I invited hadnt seen each other in over 30 years. Our time at your cafe ran over our time eating lunch with catching up chat. We were asked to leave the cafe due to others waiting to be seated. We were appalled as this request. Coffee was still hot in ones cup wed paid for and felt dismissed.Never have we been asked at any other establishment small or big to leave.We will NOT be back.

The food is good sometimes and okay others. I find the atmosphere uncomfortable and only go here when everything else is closed. Treating customers with a smile goes a long way. The servers are friendly but the manager/owner always seems to be brooding in the kitchen. If he wants people to come back, dont stare and glare. I had this same experience 3 times in a row. I was hoping it would change but it hasnt. I probably wont be back.

Fantastic homey atmosphere and fabulous service!My first time! And Ive a life threatening peanut allergy. We almost did not attend as they have fresh baked goods made in house-huge risk for cross contamination! I asked about it, the Host/service staff was well versed and instead of canned we cant say for sure (insurance dictation) they answered 100% honestly. I especially LOVE that! They provided upfront every nut dish, and stated they keep everything very seperate so all diners can enjoy their experience-FANTASTIC!The special was grilled cheese and tomatoe bisque. We ordered a Tuna melt, cup of bisque, and salad... they missed our Salads but even so was filling to perfection. So the salad was not needed, saved some calories and $ so not a complaint- just noted!Good, filling, and tasty food! As a Tuna Melt fan (serious fan, like traveled all states and global fan!), while their melt was not awe inspiring, it wasnt bad and I will definitely get it again! If you are looking for traditional Dill, Onion and cheese, this is NOT that. But they paired a good flavorful cheese, lettuce (not wilted believe it or not) and perfectly sliced thin ripened tomatoes on a perfectmyvseared Pannini that wasnt HARD! It was a tad watery with the fresh Toms and mayo mix of tuna, but just a tad-totally doable for most. And paired extremely well with their Tomatoe bisque!The Bisque had some substance; not crazy but some fun for the tounge and teeth! Just enough tiny bits to make you chew on the occasional bite; but not overly so! Was refreshing for a tomatoe bisque which is often heavy and either too tart or lacking in flavor or forgotten that its a soup and every bite requires chewing. This soup did not disappoint!I am a grilled cheese fan and my company said it to be exceptional. I was hard set on a tuna melt so I did not try the grilled cheese. Ive been told they add something with kick tho! I will try it paired with the bisque next time!The atmosphere plus mood music really set the tone! Kudos to their interior designer! Felt roomy and like old time (leave it to beaver type) HOME. PLUS THE EXCELLENT SERVICE!I will definitely come back! In fact, it will be my next GO TO if Im unsure in future!

Small and quaint and because of that they cant be all things to all people and have separate times for breakfast and lunch, so if you want breakfast- dont be late.
