I had a great experience here! I selected them because they work with my insurance, and I’m so happy I did! Dr. Medeski is very kind and knowledgeable, as were the other folks working in the office. They worked around my schedule, took good precautions to keep the office safe and clean during the pandemic, and helped me get a *cute* pair of glasses! Thanks, ladies!

I have been going to Downtown Vision care for years. Every time I go I am amazed at how nice and professional the staff is and how much knowledge Dr. Linda has. She also takes the time to explain everything to me in language that I can understand.I’m also very impressed with the fact that I never have to wait more than 10 minutes after arriving for an appointment.I feel absolutely confident and comfortable with the knowledge and professionalism that I have consistently experienced with Downtown Vision Center. My latest visit reaffirms my faith in them.

Excellent experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff - they take the time to help you figure out which lenses are best for your face and budget, even if it takes awhile to get the right style. Dr. Medeski is incredibly knowledgeable about the periphery side effects of vision problems and very personable. I’ve been going here for almost ten years and wouldn’t ever switch.

Loved this place! Friendly staff clean office and nice dr. Who I felt was very thorough on my eye exam. The optician who helped me pick out my new glasses was plesent to talk to and knowledgeable. I appreciated all her help. My new glasses look so good! And I can see! Im so pleased with my experience here.

I stopped into this shop one afternoon, looking for eyeglasses suitable for motorcycling. After spending half an hour discussing my project with a very knowledgeable and courteous optician, I learned that my Medicare insurance provider (Kaiser Permanente) would not cover any costs except through their own optical centers. I went to KP and had the same discussion with one of their opticians. I ended up ordering the glasses through KP. When they arrived, I could not see clearly through them. The optician simply took back the glasses and refunded my money - no discussion about the prescription, verifying the order, troubleshooting materials, methods, etc. That was a first for me (a long-time user of eyeglasses). I went back to Downtown Vision Centre and placed the order there, along with another pair of everyday glasses. When they arrived, I also had issues with them. The optician I worked with (Shelly) noted the large difference between the most recent prescription (from KP) and the previous one from 2 years ago (from another vision services provider). She suggested that based on that previous prescription, the current one from KP appeared to be too strong, by a significant amount. I went back to KP and ordered another eye exam and, sure enough, the optometrist reduced (by a significant amount) the strength of the prescription. After charging me for the exam, of course. The final result of this is that I will not be ordering eyeglasses from KP, even with my insurance benefit. I will be ordering my glassware from Downtown Vision Centre, where I have complete confidence in their expertise, courtesy, curiosity and willingness to go a step or two further in meeting the needs of this customer.

Dr. Medeski and her staff have been providing me and my family with quality eye care for 15 years, and I cannot say enough about their knowledge, professionalism and care. I love that the office is easily accessible, and that they are responsive to my needs, even in emergency. I highly recommend Downtown Vision Center for your optometry needs!

Had the worst experience ever last year this lady had no patience with my delayed daughter when she was only 5 at that time and made her afraid of the eye dr she is now doing better seeing the eye dr I dont not recommended this place ever with children.

It is with great pleasure and appreciation that I write this emphatic letter of recommendation for Dr. Linda Medeski and the entire staff at Downtown Vision Center.It is far from an exaggeration to state that Dr. Medeski’s expertise turned my daughter’s world around. My daughter had been in a debilitating automobile accident and had suffered for over four years as a result of misdiagnosis by over a dozen doctors across varied specialties prior to our finding Dr. Medeski. My daughter had suffered a traumatic brain injury, nerve damage, spine damage, and vision damage. The result was extreme anxiety from an inability to properly perceive reality. My daughter was an excellent high school student who lost many aspects of her long-term and short-term memory, her ability to read and retain information, her access to her extensive vocabulary, her ability to feel comfortable in a social setting, and her ability to enjoy eating. In short, she lost most every experience of value. Dr. Medeski not only recognized this unusual trauma and its symptoms, but had the experience to treat my daughter. Dr. Medeski had not seen a patient so far removed in time from the incident, but she was hopeful about helping my daughter. The therapy was extensive, thorough, and not always comfortable. It was the correct therapy for the challenge. Today, my daughter has improved in every area of trauma, and is mostly returned to her state of being prior to the accident. I am optimistic that the recovery will continue to improve. Dr. Medeski is an amazing optometrist, and she is much more. Her curiosity to explore and educate herself outside of the typical scope of knowledge of optometrists has resulted in her being a one-of-a-kind physician with a skill set unlike any other. Dr. Medeski succeeded where so many doctors of many disciplines who had diagnosed (misdiagnosed) my daughter had failed.I cannot speak highly enough of the expertise and character of Dr. Medeski, not only as a optometrist, but as a person.I wrote this letter of recommendation because I would have felt negligent if I didn’t bring Dr. Medeski to the attention of others.Thank you Dr. Medeski and the entire staff at Downtown Vision Center for bringing my daughter back!With heart-felt appreciation and eternal gratitude,Eric Holmstrom

The staff here is absolutely amazing. I have never had an trip to this office that the staff has not gone above and beyond. I like how they review your insurance benefits with you while purchasing eyewear.I love how both Dr. Nicacio and Dr. Medeski explain diagnosis and treatment plans in a way you can share with your family when you get home!I will and have recommend Downtown Vision Centre to close family and friends!
