The woman was very rude she didnt even look at any dates or anyting in closer detail according to my research some of my coins were worth at least more often pay more than what she says its worth for sure. I wouldnt waste my time and going out there everybody sounded rude and very short and very abrupt and not really happy to be there or happy to help anybody
Sold vcambi platinum top pri e great service.
Dont waste your time coming here for paper currency. They didnt even look at my banknotes (each with catalog values between $100-750) and tried to offer me ten cents each...
They were everything Lars Larson said they would be and more. Very friendly and honest people. Its nice to know there are still places out there that you can trust. Thank you liberty you guys are awesome
Ive been going to Liberty Coin & Currency ever since I was little and Ive been to other coin stores too and I got to say this coin store is probably the best coin store that Ive ever been to. It usually has all the coins I need to get and their customer service is phenomenal I would recommend you go there for your coin collecting needs.
Four stars because they run out of silver dollars a lot. Bought a 1937 half dollar for $14 they find me coin holders. I like the set up and sale items.
I paid in advance for a sizable purchase and was slightly concerned when I noticed the number of negative reviews. I decided to move forward after reading the reviews and deciding the majority were probably written by people who go out of their way to complain about everything. They delivered what I ordered within the time period promised. Tom was upfront, honest, kept me updated throughout the process, and went out if his way to ensure I was happy with each piece before I left the shop.I will be back for future purchases.
The people in the Store are very nice. The prices they will offer you for coins and silver are borderline dishonest. I was quoted $275 for 839g of sterling silver which is pure insanity. I took the silver to another shop and got $380 for it. I will never sell them a single piece of silver or gold. They do have a decent selection of supplies that I dont think were to high priced and was able to pick up a couple things. In my opinion never sell them anything.
Very good first experience. Traveled an hour to visit them and I wasnt disappointed. I was greeted when I walked in and asked how I could be helped. They had very good prices and I left with what I went for. I spoke with both Tom and Justin and they were a pleasure to deal with. This is my new coin shop. Highly recommend.
I love going to liberty coin! The staff is super helpful and really nice to everyone who comes in the door. They also never rip you off with high premiums. Thank you liberty coin for being such a great coin shop!
I’ve been a customer for over a year now. They have always been great to deal with. I am usually a buyer but recently needed some fast cash. I sold one of my coin collections to them and they gave me a fair price and took the time to closely examine my collection and offer me a fair price for both parties. Another shop I went to didn’t even take the time to look at my collection and basically insulted me with a low ball offer without even researching values of any of my coins.....Once I’m ready I will start building my collection again and they will be my first choice!!
Friendly staff, owner is almost always around available for any questions you might have about coins or bullion. Recently facilitated a purchase for what I consider a good price over spot on a order. Trustworthy business.
Went in today to purchase some coins. The staff went out of their way to accommodate what I was asking for. To purchase with a credit card would add a significant added charge, the staff member called the owner at a coin show who waved the added fee. They are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They have earned my continued business.
I go here to sell all my gold, and I live in Portland. I have honestly not had a better experience anyplace else. However, if you are going to sell fine Jewelry that has an appraisal value of over 6k, you cant expect a pawn shop to buy it for anywhere near that cost. They are not overly friendly, but very fair in the offers they give you. Best of all, they are NOT pushy! This is a valuable quality for a business to have, as there is no pressure. Just a straight forward transaction if YOU choose. They pay you the value of the gold itself. They dont care about the stones. If you care about the stones, have them removed.
This place is amazing! The service is great and the people are so nice and helpful. They answered all of my endless questions and more. I didnt feel rushed at all. I felt like I could be in there all day. I was like a kid in a huge candy shop! My only regret is that I wish I found out about this place sooner. I have been to several other places both in Vancouver and in Portland, and this place beats them by far! I am a brand new hobbyist and I will definitely only go to this place. They pretty much have everything that you would want. I even got a nice free 101 coin tutorial/class from Julie. Thanks!
I dont generally bother with leaving reviews, but I have to share about the people at Liberty Coin and Currency. I have been in Liberty Coin and Currency many times, and my experience is always a good one. These folks are professional in how they handle giving quotes, and they are very honest about what they are doing and why. I will always bring my coins and jewelry to them first.
There selection of coins is great. The downside is there precious metal pricing. Premiums on there precious metals is a damn laughing stock. Almost an $8 an ounce premium for silver bullion coins. $25 for one ounce is seriously a joke guys, lower your prices
Having a hard time meeting due dates whenever I order gold. Take my money, give me a month on my receipt then when the month passes it seems as though they turn their back on it. Still waiting on a one ounce order made April 29
Always steering me in the right direction. Helpful and honest. They definitely earned my respect and loyalty.
Some reviews on here appear to be for a pawn shop etc. Liberty Coin & Currency is NOT a pawn store and does not sell DeWalt drills or have a garage sale area. It is a Coin store. There are other businesses with the name Liberty in them so people please put your reviews under the correct business so people can get the correct information & can shop accordingly. They also ALWAYS give free written quotes on all of your items.
Fair place to buy or sell your coins. If you are expecting retail value for a coin you are selling no coin shop would be in business. As for me, I will continue to work on being a regular customer....
Horrible customer serviceTheir staff has a horrible communication skills towards their customers
Customer service was poor and their rates were a fraction from other locations. Highly recommend going anywhere else but here
Went to have a gold and diamond ring apprised to sell off the woman came back to me with a $300 offer. So I thought something was not right and had a real appraisal done and the value was $9750.00. These people are crooks they were going to try and get a $10k ring for $300 I get making a profit but a 99.75% profit. I cant believe Lars Larson endorses these crooks.
Took an estate engagement ring in, it was appraised at $7,200.00 and was offered $350.00. The $7,200.00 is retail, so you will not get that, but come on...what a joke! Will never recommend this place or go back!
They are just a scam. I understand a company making a profit, but they are a scam. Offered me $23 for the same exact item I got $80 for at another place. Called today, they offered $.10 for a foreign bill I got $37.99 for at another. Shame on you Liberty Coin.
I have to say as a collector a buyer and a seller I was very impressed with the two brothers that work at the shop they instantly help me with all the currency they took the silver plated items I have all around one of the better buyers and collectors that Ive met I would recommend this place to anyone
Ghetto place, ghetto clerks, ghetto vibe.Used DeWalt power hand tools for 3/4 the cost of buying new.Walked in browsed the garage sale stuff and walked out, heard about this on Lars Larson show and was recommended. Cmon Lars..... Just because they pay you ad dollars dont dont give them a ringing recommendation.
Havent shopped here lately but after seeing the poor ratings given by other i want to leave the 5 stars they deserve from me. i will go no where else other than here. best business and i have sent them a lot of business as well. my friends keep going back too.
Very nice shop, and i am a noobie coin collector. On the other hand, the staff seemed to care less that i was there. I wasnt greeted when entering and made eye contact with 4 employees, and i stood for many minutes before someone asked if i could be helped. (Only 1 other customer in the store at the time) I work in a job where customer service is very important, and they were lacking. If i go back, it would only be because of the product they sell.
I went in with some jewelry that had a $400 appraisal from Zales. These folks offered me $40. I would never do business with these folks. Zales honored their appraisal and gave me $400 in trade in. So take a tip and avoid Liberty and do business with a reputable business.
Nice friendly and very knowledgeable
I was paid better for my gold Kruggerands than anywhere in the Portland/Vancouver area. Even e-bay. Im not a competitor though. But, commemoratives, that is a different story. Sell those on e-bay or to a collector if you have the time.
If you listen to local christian radio stations, you cant help but hear all the ads about Liberty and how theyll pay you what your gold and silver is really worth.... NOT!!!I took in a lot of silver coins inherited from my mom. I had the original receipt from a couple of years ago from another local shop. They tried to tell me that my mom had been ripped off and that my graded, collectable coins were worth less than half what had been payed. Basically, they slandered the other shop. I took them to the original place (Blue Moon) and was treated fairly and walked away with over $3000.00 more than what Liberty offered.Liberty Coin & Currency, you all should be ashamed of yourselves!
Only got one star because you have to give at least one.. Horrible place to go, absolute crooks. My wife went in with a face value $5 coin and the gentleman said its only worth $3. Huh... Went to an actual coin shop and they gave us $120 for the coin. So please anyone looking to get rid of old coins do not go here!! Thanks
Wish I would of gotten more money for the jewelry I brought in, but Im sure everyone else does too...I ended up taking back most of it. Not much point in selling something for 14¢.
Brought in a ring with an appraisal of $3,750, they offered $155.00. I expected a low offer, but this was insulting. Makes me question their whole operation. I wont be going there for anything again.
Nice Coin Shop.
Owner has always purchased my items for a decent price, Ive never had any problems or experienced any bad attitudes
Bad,, ripping people off and with mean atitude
They are stupid
Friendly and fair!!
