I just want to take a spare minute to thank Grismer! I had called around and thought I’d have to pump the brakes because of the wait for so many shops. I was in need of service on my truck fast and they put the pedal to the metal to get me in that day. After dropping it off, Matt, got the green light to start work. He made this fix as quick and painless as possible. Thank you Matt! Turning left has never been so smooth.Grismer had great communication, were professional and made the experience a cruise.

Dan was so great working with me to get my flat tire fixed on my van. I had it towed there in the middle of the night and called when they opened. He was friendly and called me right back with pricing. They had it fixed and me back on the road in no time! I will definitely be recommending them! Thank you again!

They charged me $35 and did not find the nail in the front or turn off the check air pressure Iight. They tried to sell me new tires and alignment saying they would take the $35 dollars off. They charged me for a flat tire repair kit and they repaired nothing.I had to take the car to another place to get the tire repaired and the light turned off.In my opinion they tried to rip off an old lady.I demanded my money back. They gave me a form they said is a refund. The charge is on my card but the refund has not shown up as yet.I would not recommend this Grismer location in Vandalia.

Wouldnt recommend this place at all. Tried to charge me almost 3k for some work to be done. I took my can to a different shop and everything was done for less than half the price. It always seems to be something with grismer and its always way more expensive than it should be. Only this place is good for is tires.

I was on my 1-hour trip to work my night shift job and my tire blew out on the highway. I couldn’t drive home on the donut, so I called at 7:30am when they opened to get new tires. They got me in and taken care of right then and there, even though they were not busy. I was absolutely pleased with how quickly they took care of it. I bought all new tires because I needed new ones, and you get 4 free oil changes with that. They changed my oil when I was there too. 😌

Always very professional and reasonable people to interact with at Grismer. I typically take tire repairs and alignments to them because I can’t do them in my garage. If there’s ever any issues, they make it right.

Grismer in Vandalia is first class. They are patient, talk everything through and are very honest with all of the options. 4 new tires gets you a few free oil changes too.

Went in for brakes on my Ford Focus with no advanced appointment. They slotted me in that day. After they assessed my brakes they informed me that while my back brakes needed replaced, I still had plenty of life in my front brakes. They couldve told me I needed all brakes done and I wouldve believed them, but they were honest and they will definitely have my business again.

I’ve been getting my tires there from years and they always do a good job. It’s nice to get 4 free oil changes and tire rotation/balancing with a new set of tires. While on vacation I picked up a screw in my right front tire and they fixed no problem free of charge with the road hazard warranty. I appreciate their commitment to customer service and doing the job right!

They gave me my oil change and ask if u needed anything else I wanted done. I came in a 1/2 hour before my appointment due to having to pick up my kids from school. They got me done quickly. The tires were installed correctly, but I didn’t think it would take 5 hours and 23 minutes to put them on and do an alignment. I was not told about my TPMS sensor being out until after it was done and I asked about my low tire light being on.For the price, the 4 free oil changes doesn’t really save any money. Go to Tire Discounters where the alignment is free and get the same tires. Better service too.

So Im not usually one to complain and it takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but I went here to get the drum brakes on my car replaced. which they did and charged me ~$500, but when I got the car back the brakes didnt work. Not sure why they gave me the car back when the parts they put on didnt work, but I digress. So I took it back and they said they couldnt look at it for another 3 days. So They eventually look at it and figured out that the brakes just needed bled. So cool my brakes work now and I have a drivable car. I go to pick up my car and when I get there, they charged me an additional $50 for bleeding the brakes which Im no rocket scientist, but Im pretty sure that was part of the original job they charged me $500 for. So instead of arguing, I paid it and will never let them work on my vehicle again and will leave this review so that the next person that thinks they should take their car to this Grismer thinks twice about it.

This was my first time using Grismer,Exceptional customer service and everything I was quoted over the phone was exactly what I paid upon picking up my car.In addition, I was told an hour and a half for my 4 new tires and alignment, it was exactly an hour and a half that it was ready.I was not pressured to spend any extra money on needed service, only advised in my paperwork on what they recommend.I will be using them for service again, as my overall experience was excellent!!Thank you Grismer!!

Service is good. Staff is friendly, but I feel like every time I get an oil change they approach me with $1000 worth of repairs my vehicle “needs”. Prices are steep, and now they are charging a $12 sanitation fee....seems a little excessive, and not sure who the sanitation is for - the crew members or the car owner??? Even though there are a few things I don’t like, the work is done well and getting scheduled is usually not an issue.

I am very happy with the service from this Vandalia location of Grismer. I have been using them for a few years now and I really trust their expertise. I feel they are always honest with me on what I need or do not need for my vehicles.

Visited the place when I was pricing a set of 4 Michelin tires for my wifes rav4. They are very attentive and have very competitive prices as well, got my quote in a blink of an eye.

Scheduling an oil change was difficult, this place fills up super quick. Bit they did a good job, took about an hour for a regular oil change. The staff alerted me off some issues to watch for with my car but werent pushy about trying to fix them and charge me for those as well which I really appreciated. They got me on my way quick.

The oil change service is less than what is typically charged.

Thru the years I have purchased 5 sets of tires for my cars from Grismer and had other auto repairs by them. I always had good service, explanation of the work preformed on my auto and notification of future maintenance needed. They are good at calling you when the car is ready for pick-up or you can wait at their location. I recommend Grismer for any car, van or truck repair or replacement part needs. A big plus is the discount coupons you receive for purchase of tires, oil changes and other services they have.

We had a couple issues with my SUV after a trip. Not only did the techs and staff work hard to get my car in that day and resolve the problem they were willing to stay longer than they should have. They worked with the rates on my car and the prices were beyond fair. I can’t state how pleased I am with the company and people for doing such a wonderful job in such a short time and notice! I Will only go here from now on to mantiance my vehicle.

I have never really been impressed by any Grismer location because they typically want to sell you services that your car does not need to get more money out of you. This location hasnt tried that on me yet. I gave them my business because they are the only tire seller that carry Nokian Tyre brand.They offer free lifetime balance and rotation when you buy a set of tires there. I do like that they are a shop that can do alignments. I took my car in to have a rotation and balance done, and they wanted to charge me ~$54. They said that they did not have my car on file (2011 Fusion), they had a 2007 Fusion on file.I explained to the guy that I havent had the other car for years and when I bought this car, I had them install tires here. He was happy to update the info and dismiss the charges. I would give my experience with him 4.5-5 star rating.

Idk I was a ride

I went there for the first time ever to get new tires in Feb 2015. I had an appointment. However, one of the tires in stock was suspect and so I had to wait an extra hour so that the new one could be delivered. While there, I observed the very courteous service being performed. For example, the front desk person drove a customer home because the customer needed to leave his car there.With the tires I received 3 free oil changes. However, due to the wait, I was given an extra oil change for free to compensate for the delays in getting my tires installed. During the oil change they discovered I had a bad valve cover gasket. I had been losing oil slowly but did not know why as there were no drips on the pavement. I very much appreciated all they did and am making an appointment to go back and get the valve cover gasket replaced. Despite all of the negative posts, I have had a great experience with them and think I may have found THE local place for my auto maintenance needs.

I took my car there just before Thanksgiving 2014 to repair brakes, and replace the power steering fluid line which was leaking badly. I told them where the leak was happening, but they insisted it was the power steering fluid pump. So I complied with their analysis. I paid a total of $1400 for all the work. I noted after I got the car back, it was idling roughly, and the front end was pulling to one side. I took it to my brother about the rough idling. He said the Vapor Canister, which sits next to the power steering reservoir, was broken. He had to plug up on the of the vapor canister lines to keep the car running roughly. I discovered my front end was out of alignment (which is wasnt when I took it in), and a stabilizer bar was broken.Three weeks after I got my car back, I again had leaking of power steering fluid, only worse this time. I have to replenish it every two days!I have taken my car back to them. They said Well look it over. No I am sorry, or offers to refund my money for that part of the work. I have complained to the corporate office.I received a call back today (dropped it off yesterday), and they said they cant find a leak! Are you kidding me I said!?!? I have to feed that reservoir every two days!! So as of now, nothing has been repaired.

For first-come-first-served on a Saturday they were fast and thorough. Just plan on going early if you dont have a scheduled appointment. I arrived before opening time and was still number 7 or 8 in line. 😃

I had a tire with a hunk of metal in it. Thankfully the hole was smaller than it looked. They had my tire patched in a few minutes and I was on my way. Thanks to everyone working at Grismer!

Went to go there for several issues with my car and to get a new tire. They put on an excellent tire in under 20 minutes. They listened to my concerns about my car. They did some research and showed that my particular car has had several recalls for similar issues. They stated that they do not do recall work but instructed me to go to my car dealer and get the repairs done for free. I find Grismer to be honest, reasonably priced and I trust them.

Had an appointment for a full synthetic oil change. In and out in about 35 minutes. Great service.

WARNING! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO GRISMER TIRE IN VANDALIA OHIO. I took my car there for a front and rear wheel alignment. After the alignment the car pulled to one side when accelerating making it difficult to drive and some of the alignment specs were not within tolerance after I drove it home. I took care back and was told it had been a difficult alignment and that was the best they could do. I took it up on myself at home after some research to remove the rear wheels and check for proper torque on the bolts for the rear suspension and found 3 bolts not correct. One for the right side rear trailing arm to the knuckle was completely lose (I could turn it by hand) it should have been 37+ foot pounds of torque, this is what was causing the car to pull to one side under acceleration. Found two strut to knuckle bolts that should have been torqued at 140 foot pounds, one was at 60 and another was at 38. I called the manager again to find out why they had not checked the bolts; he said they cant take the time to check the torque on bolts because that would be a $400 or $500 dollar alignment they only charge around $80. They will allow your car to drive off their lot in an unsafe driving condition and since the manger admitted that they dont torque bolts I assume they do this to all their repair work. They should lose their license to perform any kind of mechanical service before someone is involved in a serious accident. It is just not worth the risk, take your vehicle elsewhere for service.

If you want to have a good service for a higher price thats the place to go.
