I asked for a chili dog, light chili extra onion, I got a dog w light onion, heavy chili, I explained it to her twice to make sure she got the right way that I wanted it. They gave me fries that had been sitting in the warmer and I told her I wanted fresh fried, she assured me that they were hot well they werent!!!! Their ice cream is fantastic but theyve got to listen to the customer but they dont!!!!

A great spot to grab a bite to eat. The tornadoes were good. Best thing about them was the amount of candy pieces. Every bite had multiple pieces of candy. My wife and I didnt dine in this time even though they had plenty of seating. Glad I found this place, will need to stop by again!!

Pretty popular based on the number of people inside,, but likely we wont go back. The soft serve was average, the shrimp and fish so heavily breaded you couldnt really tell what was in it, and the soft pretzel was not worth getting a second time. I was disappointed, because Id love to support a local family business, but it was just not to my tastes.

I had a good visit. I think Ive probably only been in this place 1 or 2 times, and that was over 30 years ago. I worked at Friendlys, we had real ice cream. I also used to go to Dairy Queen, so I never really visited this place, except out of curiosity.It was good. It seems like a decent little home town place. I think Ill be going back.

The atmosphere is relaxed while the management and staff team provide a clean and well organized establishment for a convenient and tasty meal. The icecream was delicious. I was a bit sad that the flavor I visited for wasnt available. The only thing that could make this experience a bit better would be if they added a few benches/ picnic tables to allow guests to enjoy their frozen treats in the sun.

I would not recommend this place for any reason at all. Went there at 9:58 to order a peanut butter milkshake, which I’ve been told was the best in town. Upon arrival I saw a flashing open sign in the window. When going in to place my order with a man at the counter ordering. I opened the door and got one foot in when an older man with sugar in his voice came running from the back and cut us off with one foot in and said sorry we’re closed. I said your sign says open. He responds with no, we’re closed. With customer service like this, this is not who I would ever recommend doing business with.

While the food is just average the ice cream here is wonderful and its always nice to support a local small business

Ordered a large chili?Should have asked for a cup of grease as that is what I received.Tasted like grease.Dont order the chili.... very top was grease.Took two spoonfuls from the bottom & tasted mostly of grease..

Milk shakes are to die for! I had a pulled pork sandwich. It wasnt bad. The sauce is good. I would definitely go for the shakes!

Fantastic!! I love cheeseburgers and when we moved back here 5 months ago we wanted to try this place. We went to watch 2 great grand daughters play ball and had decided we would go here afterwards. Burgers are great and the French fries were hot and crispy. We will make this place a regular go to for us

Used to come to this place when I was a kid. The only thing that was as good as I remember it was the stuffed mushrooms. Everything else was sub-par. I really wanted to leave a good review but the man at the counter was kinda rude and charged us for cheeseburger that they forgot to give us, so two star review seems about right.

Legendary....just the way I remember it. I like the footlong with cheese and a hot fudge sundae.

I really hate to be negative about this place because I remember going there with grandparents when I was little. I understand its not a dairy queen, I asked the older man when he came to take my order, do you have anything like a peanut butter parfait, and quite rudely he tells me, this isnt a dairy queen...ok I get that but obviously you know what it is or you couldnt tell me it was on dairy queens menu. Things have changed for sure. So I gladly spend around 70 bucks a week down the road at dairy cream on dixie. Wish I couldve left a better comment I feel like Im betraying my grandparents lol

I love their Dole whip and soft pretzels. Unfortunately they dont always have Dole whip so call ahead before getting your hopes up. I would love to see them always have Dole Whip. Other Dairy stores have a machine that they alternate flavors and always have pineapple to swirl with the other flavors. Thank you for the great service Airline Dairy Creme.

Some of the nastiest greasy food you can find. I love it. Reminds me of good old-fashioned food from when I was growing up back in the 60s. I mean this is the way food was meant to be, burgers with enough grease you didnt need condiments, fries with enough oil you can soak it up and do an oil change on the car. If my doctor knew I eat here, he would be the one having a coronary. I did unfortunately have to drop it to 4 stars though because sometimes when I order a shake I wonder if they even blended it because of how thick it is. I mean when you collapse 4 straws trying to take a sip, well, thats just a hair to thick for my liking.

One of my favorite places. I have being going since i was a child. I am now 51. They have the best peanut butter milk shakes. Ever.

Id like to start off by saying that I have had good experiences here in the past, but I will not consider returning after my most recent experience.Upon entering the building, staff members were removing or completely pulling down their masks, despite the mandatory workplace mask requirement in effect for the county. I was able to observe at least 6 staff members interacting in close quarters unmasked.While the blatant mask violation is enough, we additionally were parked in front of the building for over 10 minutes and were not greeted or acknowledged by any runners.

We went here for dessert, and we loved the ice cream! I got a sundae, and my husband got a cyclone. Great! And the workers are friendly and were very helpful in making suggestions for what to get.

Tried this with my family the other day. I got the Pizza Steak and it was absolutely delicious! Ive had stuff similar before but nothing has tasted better than this. They also had the banana ice cream which was so good! Their prices are to die for as well. Really great food for really low prices. Definitely going to come here again.

An outstanding value - they have achieved the exceedingly rare combination of incredible flavor at a comparatively low cost. My only regret was ordering only one super steak burger. Should have ordered 5.Ice cream: the cyclone was likewise fantastic. And again, its cost was way less than what it was worth. They are very generous, to say the least, with the amount of ice cream they provide.Finally: service. Very friendly, very fast, and very accurate. You can tell quite a bit about an establishment by the attitude(s) of its employees, and Airlines were impressively upbeat.I definitely intend on many future visits. :-)

Classic Dairy Queen. Food is made when you order the old fashion way. The ice cream is delicious great little family stop! Soft Pretzels are to die for! Lots of good memories as a child here that I pass on to my own kids. A great local family hit spot!

Stopped by today with my Mom on the way home from a doctors appointment and we got chocolate/vanilla swirl and vanilla soft serve cones. It was perfect, I got my fix and spent less than $5 for the both of us. We were on a tight schedule, didnt even have to get out of the car -the service was quick, acurate and friendly. GREAT PLACE!!! These folks have figured out some serious ice cream science. The banana malt was fantastic. Had my body not required oxygen to survive, Im certain that I would have ingested it in a single long and glorious slurp. My family enjoyed sundaes and other treats on one of the three shaded circular patio tables next to a splendid array of flowers. Big high five to you, Airline Dairy Creme.

Ive been going there all my life. There food is good and reasonable. LOVE their soft pretzels and there malts you almost start out with a spoon. Cones can be swirled, dipped or just normal. Always clean and always friendly!

Great little place for ice cream! Their food is pretty fantastic too... The staff are all at the top of their game. It can get pretty busy there but the service is always quick and efficient. The dining room has always looked nice and clean.

Coming here makes me feel like Ive gone back in time. The ice cream is sweet and the friendly faces are sweeter. It is the perfect spot for an ice cream with your special someone.

Stopped here for some ice cream. Service was friendly but the ice cream was average. The toppings were below average and almost took away from the ice cream itself. Seemed like a popular place with the dining room pretty full and many ordering food. I only ordered ice cream so I can only speak for that. The view of the airport is great though, its a fun place to eat in your car and watch the planes arrive and take off

What can I say this place is a staple in Vandalia, they serve up different flavors of ice cream in the summer ones that arent your mill of the run flavors. Im talking blueberry cheesecake, orange dole whip, and many others. The food is great too. Its a great place to grab lunch or cool off with some ice cream. In the winter they run soup specials and theyre never a disappointment.

Was very very disappointed with my experience yesterday. Maybe my expectations were too high? I got a reeses pieces ice cream blender thing since i love reeses and vanilla ice cream. After my first bite i was unsure if i wanted to keep eating or finish it. The ice cream was dull in flavor and had a weird texture for a blizzard like treat. The reeses pieces were really chalky and WAY too many in there (maybe that was my mistake for ordering that one). Overall, i was dissatisfied and most likely will not return.
