Love this store! Have purchase many large furniture items, artwork, and small decor items. They have it all! Patti has been extremely helpful in helping me pick items out that would flow through an open floorplan. It was so helpful to be able to go in and pick items up and have them delivered SAME DAY! Was tired of waiting for other items that were not as nice from a different store. Its not an easy time to get furniture and I could not be more pleased. Patti was also able to order some additional items that I decided I wanted that I had missed out on because they were purchased while I was deciding. Very helpful and my home looks unique since not everything came from a local chain furniture store.
Very nice place with lots of unique items and home decor. Must stop by and take a look at all the cool stuff. Wife bought several candles, lamps and table lamps. The goto place to spice up any home.
Horrible, atrocious customer service!!! Beyond anything I have ever experienced! We have been waiting for a rug we were told would take 10 days for 7 weeks now. Then, had the nerve to BERATE my 10 year old son for wearing his mask!! Made him actually cry! When I demanded a refund, because who wants to give business to someone so downright nasty, refused!!! This is an over $500 order!
Horrible customer service, if you want to have a bad day visit this store, and get ready to be lectured over a piece of cloth witch is your choice to wear, when someone shows up with a mask, its not that big of a deal. Today this world is separated because of people who treat other like this, my 3 YEAR OLD son wore a mask to the store and then got yelled at, I do not believe this workers audacity, next time ill bring my daughter and she will be wearing a mask because its HER CHOICE see how that goes… I have never heard a person yell at a child about their mask, and neither have I heard a person yell at a child about not having their mask. Both wearing a mask and not is just a choice and an opinion, no one and I mean no one should be discriminated because of their own choice… ever.
Horrible customer service. I am never walking trough these doors again untill this place is knocked down and they build a new store there. 😤
Horrible customer service, officially ruined my way I look at the world and this store, mistreated and lectured over “having to give people a break” we have given this store a 5 week break and now a worker there is refusing to even help us. I wouldnt even advise anyone to even step foot in this store if they want to be treated like a human.
Horrible customer service! My order is 7 weeks late and the owner is beyond rude and unprofessional
Horrible customer service, enough to make a child cry about a LITERAL PEACE OF CLOTH, masks are not that deep and its not your choice if a 5 year old should wear one or not, never going to this place again :(
I was introduced to this gem of a store while shopping with a friend. As soon as I walked through the front door I was in love! I moved to the area almost two years ago and was sorry I never knew about this place until now. If I had, my house would have been totally decorated with their furnishings and decor! Ive bought several things there since my first of many visits and each time Ive enjoyed all the new and unique inventory. Stop in and take a look. You wont be disappointed!
Worker was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She had the audacity to ask why I was wearing a mask in the middle of a global pandemic. If you want a great way to ruin your day I definitely recommend going to this store and experiencing their incredibly rude customer service.
Great beachy vibe
Horrible customer service. 😤😤😤😤
I saw 2 lamps and sent a small picture of the glass portion to my mother and she loved them and wanted them for bedside table lamps. She decided they were a bit too expensive for her so she would have to think about it, so my siblings and I decided to surprise her. I went last Thursday, super excited and purchased the 2 lamps. One of the owners, a man, listened as I explained they were a gift for my mom that my siblings were purchasing and I was sending them MI. He didn’t really engage in a conversation with me but I was too excited about the lamps to care. Imagine my dismay when I got home and brought the lamps into my room and realized how big they seemed. I nonchalantly gave the measurements to my mom, I didn’t tell her I had already bought them, she was disappointed as said they would be way too big.I called Saturday to let them know I would have to return the lamps Monday, I couldn’t load them back in my car quickly because of the size, and the woman told me they have an EXCHANGE ONLY policy for 14 days. I said “what?” She repeated it and I hung up and went to go talk with her. The woman who answered is the co-owner and when I explained the situation and told her I spoke with the other owner, her husband and explained they were a gift and would be shipped to MI, he said absolutely nothing about exchange only. She looked at me amused and stated, “Why would we tell our customers about our return policy? We as owners can’t put that onto them. We are not mind readers with what a customer is doing.” I calmly said, “Ma’am, there was no mind reading I explicitly told your husband it was a gift being shipped out and he chose to not mention your policy”. Again, “she said why would we tell you, we have it posted everywhere” By everywhere, there is one sign under glass at the counter, which is FULL of decor etc for sale, and a stamp on the back of your receipt you get AFTER you pay. I told her it was upsetting that an owner would not be forthright with the policy being fully aware of the situation. She told me it was my fault for not asking and I was just looking for someone to blame for my mistake. I told her I assumed they had a shorter return timeframe but that I would still be able to return them if they didn’t work. She told me EVERY mom and pop shop on the Island does business this way doing exchange only. This is blatantly false. It was also so upsetting to see how much she seemed to enjoy the situation which is odd as a business owner. I was shaking and sick to my stomach, I now had $468 dollars in 2 lamps as a gift that weren’t going to work.As soon as I left I had to call my mom and tell her the situation crying that I had to ruin a surprise gift but the only option the owner would allow is store credit so I would have had to FaceTime my mom and walk through the store and see if there was other things she wanted. She, along with everyone else who’s heard the story was appalled and told me not to give them the satisfaction of exchanging the lamps and she would just try to make them work.I am 42 yrs old and have lived in Europe, 4 different states here and have NEVER had an issue like this with any business large or locally owned. My family raised me that you treat customers like you would treat family because without them you don’t have a business. My grandmothers return policy for her mom and pop furniture and decor store ALWAYS allowed for returns and she was in business successfully until she was 82 yrs and had to retire. The owners of Pier 22 hold their customers to an extremely high standard, I wonder if they hold themselves to this same standard/principle in that they have NEVER returned a purchase and received their money back. That they have never gotten an item home and thought, no that’s not how I thought it was going to look.In my conversation with the owner I felt it was an intentional omission to not even mention it would be exchange only for 14 days. This type of experience doesn’t really make one want to “Buy Local and Support Our Local businesses”.
This store has such beautiful home decor!!! Perfect place to find things for your home. Loved almost everything!!! Candles, wall decor, rugs, lamps and many more things. The salesman was terrific!!!
Really enjoy the art and home decor along with Pattis expertise. Prices are very fair. Worth stopping in as there are so many unique items.
This is the best shop in Venice! We recently discovered Pier 22 and now it is the first store we head to when we are shopping in Venice. It is slightly off the beaten path so we head to Pier 22 first thing when we arrive in Venice. We love discovering decorative items for our new Coach home. The store contains high scale items but the most fun is finding great buys for unique items. We often find ourselves saying Hey, look at this and it is only $... ! Great quality too!!
I love Pier 22! I have been able to find several unique pieces to decorate my home here. This store is a must visit for gifts or home decor. They often get new things so go regularly to see what great things they have. Also, the staff is incredibly helpful. Pier 22 is just the store that Venice needs!
I love this place! Unique, high quality and affordable decor and furniture.Patti is great to work with and has a keen eye for style. She created a beautiful Coastal Chic look for my bathroom - WOW! I love the paint colors selected and the pictures, window treatments and accent pieces are perfect. Whenever Im in the area, I love to stop in to find the next perfect piece to add to my home.
Love this shop, its a must see for everyone visiting Venice. I purchased sea fan artwork for my master bath and cant wait to purchase artwork for my foyer and dining room. Beautiful
We are so happy we found Patti and Matt at Pier 22! Patti read our minds and put together the perfect decor we were striving to find for our Venice condo! Now if only they could come up north and fix our summer home....The quality and style of the items in their store will keep us coming back for more!
One of the most Beautiful stores in Venice! The best part of it was the owners were so relaxed and easy to talk to. They make you feel very comfortable while you were shopping, which is hard to say about other stores on the Island. Their unique gifts are truly one of a kind, items you will not find in any store in Venice. Love this store!
Absolutely beautiful, unique home decor and furniture! Matt and Patti are so amazing to work with, they have exceptional taste and are very helpful. You cant beat the prices! I am SO happy Pier 22 is part of our community.
I think I visited every furniture, consignment, and home decor store from Sarasota to Venice until I stumbled upon Pier 22. I was so excited to see the unique pieces and variety of items to choose from. Once I started talking to Patti about the home my husband and I just renovated, she assured me that she could help me with the finishing touches.Patti and Matt far exceeded anything I ever imagined. No only did they help our house feel like a home, they accomplished everything thoughtfully and quickly. My husband and I are in awe at how beautiful everything turned out and appreciate their help with the finishing touches. I highly recommend visiting Pier 22 and if you have decorators block, just ask Patti to help!
Great experience. Ordered 3 longitude/latitude signs for gifts. Signs arrived when promised, high quality, and were a big hit. Will definitely do business with Pier 22 again.
