Good diner... food was good. Omelet and chicken wrap was good. Booth was a little tight. Waiter was good... didnt rush us out even though it was busy.

Ordered to go a tuna on rye. The tuna was great, it had a nice tang to it and they gave you a fair amount. It was placed in the container thoughtfully and came with a small coleslaw and the greatest pickle wrapped up. The only thing I was disappointed about was they only gave a half of pickle, how much more could it be just to add the other half?? It was $8.50 with tax. They didn’t have any soup or cheesecake which I wanted to try. The diner was clean and the way decorated is clean looking. Waitress was nice. Definitely going to go back soon for another tuna sandwich. They have a parking lot and street parking.
Food was very good as was the service. I would give it a 5th star, but the bathroom was absolutely filthy. Looked like the toilet had not been cleaned for months. Makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen, but hey, my BLT was pretty awesome.
This diner is super homey and comforting, both in terms of food and atmosphere. I love the breakfasts, and the lunch and dinner menu have a lot of great options. Im always stuck between a few options, and hate just having to pick one! Everything tastes just like it is fresh from the kitchen. A great little hometown diner!
Unfortunately this once sweet diner has gone downhill. Current waitstaff is terribly uninterested in serving the customers. Cook has changed & not nearly the same as in recent past . Owner needs to be there more often because when he is not ... nobody cares .
Today, my gf and I went to ear at this diner. Continue reading for the bad part. The aesthetics and decor are beautiful, food is great.HOWEVER, the manager/owner older guy is very disrespectful and mean to his employees. One of the employees was having his breakfast, and the owner/manager told him “DONT EAT LIKE A CUSTOMER” he told him to sit upright and not watch TV as he eats his breakfast. He also told one of the waitresses (that probably had an unwell stomach) that he DOESNT CARE ABOUT HER STOMACH.These actions from someone in that position are the reasons I will NEVER go there and support this kind of behavior towards employees.Treat your employees better and maybe youll get good karma. Youre rude and disrespectful, its a shame i gave that place my business today. NEVER again.
God I hope this place stays open despite the virus. The food and waiting staff have always been amazing and extremely accommodating. They make sure that youre happy with your experience by replacing incorrect items at no extra charge. 5 stars.

One of the worst experience ever !!!!I went in to order food to go since I was gonna drive home 30 minutes. I order two burgers one was regular well done and one was pizza burger well done.The server packed my food and i left.When I arrived home dying to eat my food I opened the container to find my pizza burger with nothing on it. Literally NOTHING ! Just the bun and meat. Both burgers were not even thoroughly cooked. I specifically said well done and got under cooked.I was highly disappointed and frustrated because this is a lack of service from the restaurant, Im a consumer who paid for something and doesnt get my order properly.I called that same afternoon to talk to the manger whom was not there. I went in the next day at two different times looking for the manager who was no where to be seen. In addition to that I left my information for him to contact me and have heard no reply.Im now on day 3 of looking for the ghost manager.This place is not well run. There is no management. No server even knows when the manager is in.I will NEVER buy food here again.First time going there and the last time.Worst experience ever !!!

Price online says 6.95 for wings but I was charged 11.95. And when I asked why the owner said that the price is old price from old owner. I mentioned that maybe he should get that updated. He replied with it’s not his website so not his issue.

One day in March 2020, after we spent 5 hours in ER since 4 AM, me and my wife went to Verona Diner for a brunch, it saved us with warm coffee, a big plate of chicken and waffle and triple eggs omelet. Cozy room, warm temperature and friendly attendance. Highly recommend!

What a great little hidden gem. Theres parking lot around the back. Recently renovated, a nice cozy spot to grab some food. They have different variants of classic breakfast foods, which is why I frequent this spot. I havent been there for dinner yet but Im sure it is just as great!

A very attractive & clean diner. I went for a Saturday brunch, & there were plenty of breakfast items to choose from. My omelette was fresh, tasty, & not oily at all. Just the way I like it! Ditto for the home fries. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, & pleasant. My only issue was with the coffee, which wasnt as fresh as I prefer.

First time dining here. The restaurant is small and clean with a real community feel. You can relax and sit at the counter and enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The menu isnt as expansive as other, larger diners but all the favorites are represented. I had a roast turkey sandwich and fries. The meat was fresh and the portions were large. You will also find comfort options like meatloaf and omlets and pancakes, along with several specials. One thing I really appreciated was the quiet environment. I could sit and think and watch a parent and her children share a meal and talk without having to scream over the other noise or feel rushed. Its a place where you can connect with others while enjoying a good meal. Nothing better than that. Even the restroom (although small) was modern and clean. Give it a try.

This diner was a perfect Saturday morning outing for my kids and grandkids and me! Seated at a window booth with big fluffy pillows, we read a compact and varied menu. We could be healthy or decadent. Each of us chose and loved something completely out of the ordinary. It was busy but didnt feel overcrowded, the food was excellent and plentiful, the price was great, the servers were efficient. Well be back!!!

Very Nice, Food is Upscale Comfort-Diner food w Prices to match, BUT, You Get what you pay for! Have NEVER had a Bad meal here or taken home to me. Ever! Never gotten sick, No one in Family, (includes Inlaws,..)who go AT LEAST Twice a week have Ever gotten sick. Family has sensitive digestive system & have NEVER Gotten sick due to quality of food, the care of prep of food & cooking of food, & temp of food. Besides EVERYTHING is DELICIOUS & Im EXTREMELY Picky, as Ive worked cooking in Restaurants since I was 16, so Im the Chef at Home & thanks to The Verona Diner- it cuts down that Responsibility 😁.
What a great find! The food is very good. Enjoyed a fresh and tasty gyro far better than what you get at your average diner. Although the service was slow, everyone was friendly and polite.
Quaint little diner! Happened upon this business after having testing a block away.So happy to have found it!Newly refurbished so it was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Limited seating so there is a wait during peak hours.Service was great..our waitress was superb.She outdid herself on our service AND ran the whole diner..seating customers,serving,cleaning and payment..there were other servers but she outshined them all. So glad we had her, and its a shame that I dont recall her name. She was courteous and pleasant and very attentive.I had the Bourbon burger which was phenomenal. Tasty, juicy, prepared perfectly!Definitely recommend and intend to go back♡

Verona Diner is a cozy cute diner walk in you are greeted and told sit wherever you like. I like that so there is no favoritism among servers. Will update this when we return and we will return for dinner.
I love Verona Diner! You cant beat the prices.I love to take my grandkids there for brunch on the weekends. I like the breakfast that comes with 3 meats, eggs and a waffle. The kids love the Mickey Mouse pancake. The one time I ordered a burger however, it was a bit overcooked and dry.
Been to this cute Diner several times, always with my granddaughter & daughter in law! Nothing fancy, but Always delicious. Plus, each time weve run into folks we know!! Busy, bustling Verona Diner is a must try. Serving Good Food in a friendly atmosphere! Enjoy! 😉

I was in the mood for an omelet the other day and I had driven past this place 1000 times on my way to work, so I thought Id give it a shot.The service was prompt when I got in and the waitress sat me and took my order pretty quickly. I got a Greek Omelet (feta and tomato) and asked for them to add some gyro meat inside (trust me, its delicious) and a side of tzatziki.The omelet itself came quickly, but she must have forgotten the toast because that came out 5 minutes later. The omelet itself was good, but just a touch over-cooked for my liking. The coffee was decent for a diner, but I had to ask for a refill after my cup was empty for a couple minutes.The menu looked to have some interesting options for a diner and despite a few small issues, I would likely return.

I eat there frequently. Most of the waiters there throw the food on the table and leave. I came with my kids yesterday and got served by this really polite young lady. She was so different from every waiter there i was amazed since I am used to the all the other hurry up and eat waiters. She was very happy and positive and different from the other rude waiters. Hint she wears glasses.

Verona diner, probably the most delicous diner in Verona. Maybe even in New Jersey! Food is incredibly delicous, and there are a lot of things to choose from! I ordered a Cozy French Toast, which was devoured in about a minute! Prices are a bit higher than your usual diner, but its worth it. You cant get this quality anywhere else in the world. Go dine here! You wont regret it.

My fiancee, her mother, and I stopped here after checking out some possible wedding venues.Its not a looker from the outside, but the inside is very nice. The food selection is a bit more limited than a traditional Jersey Diner, but its a good thing. I had the reuben, and it was great. My fiancee had the grilled cheese, and she loved it.

Charming place to go for brunch . My family and I went to visit my brother, sister in law and my niece in NJ so they took us here for Sunday brunch. The staff seemed to know the whole family and they sat down with us to take the order like family...very sweet. The food was very good as well. I had a cheese omlet and rye toast and my kids had the avacado toast. The French fries looked really good and crispy but I didnt get to try any because they were gone too fast! Overall a great place that I definitely would like to visit again.
