Ive been having my hair done here for over a year. Shelby is the best kept secret in Birmingham!! She actually listens (which is amazing) and can vision your vision!! Im giving her 10stars. Shes amazing with cut, color and style!! I highly recommend her!!
Customer service was awesome during Mother’s Day weekend(Saturday morning). Manager was on the floor working along side employees. That type of management is what keeps companies growing ! Great job ladies !
I am always blown away by the customer service at Ulta, but this Friday night I was even more impressed. A gentleman (sadly I cant remember his name but he was tall) working was so helpful and informative!
Great Ulta location! It’s very well organized and clean. I was able to check out quickly despite many people being in line.

I would give them a zero star review if I could. Absolutely rude trying to rush us out before they closed. Sorry none of us realized you closed at 7 (which is ridiculous) but the way you say things and ask people to leave matters. The manager was SO rude. Will never return to this location. Additionally, after you tell everyone they need to leave you should keep more than one register open. Four people were walking around telling people to leave while one checked people out. Again, be kind and your message goes a lot further when you’re respectful. Ashamed to say I’m a platinum rewards member.
Great selection and service
Would give zero stars if I could. I Came in tonight at 6:58 (not knowing adjusted hours) and went to open the door, and right as I was doing it and employee came and locked me out... as I was opening the door. I then saw they closed at 7. The employee then shrugged, she could have at least said something. She was a shorter girl with long, straight, dark hair. It wasn’t even 7 and I was refused service. I wonder what corporate thinks about employees blatantly locking people out of the building. I also want to know if you close at 6:58 or 7? Will never come back to this location.
Ive been to 2 different Ulta locations multiple times, and while the stores are nice and employees are friendly - one thing always rubs me the wrong way. They ask for too much personal information. I dont like having to give my full name, email, phone number AND address just to buy a gift card (which is all I purchased today). I even questioned why they needed all that info and its for their rewards program but I wasnt asked if I wanted to join. Im not a paranoid person but I dont think a makeup company I rarely shop at needs all that information. And they should definitely ASK about signing you up for something.
A bit pricey for my taste. The store was Hot as in temperature! And having on a mask didnt help. If you like paying double for certain beauty, skincare and hair products this is your place! Not a lot of ethnic haircare products though.
It was my first time in there but I loved every product! The employees was very helpful and the prices wasn’t to bad!

Ulta has a plethora of nice brand cosmetic and beauty supplies. Went in today to buy my daughter some foundation as I accidentally broke hers 🙁. I love Living Proof hair products and saw signs all over for a promotion for free samples if you bought over a certain $ amount. I needed a product so bought one. When I asked about my samples the manager said “ we are out. They only give us a few and we are required to keep the promotional signs up until the promotion is over whether we can honor it or not. Otherwise we get points taken off. Sorry”. So, like false advertising ? Yep. Nuts. Also, not a salesperson in sight on the floor.
Bare Minerals lipstick “kitty” is never in stock. I went to the Summit location this past Sunday. The store was very busy and only one person to check you out. “Courtney the retail manager” was at the end of counter marking items down with her sticker gun. Twelve people standing in line. I asked her if she could open another register. She was very rude and her tone of voice was awful. She said no! A young associate walked up after noticing the line and asked if she could open up another register. Courtney (remember she is the Manager) said, “if you want to”! Really?????? She needs to be fired.
I was greeted by the sales staff and the customer service was great. The store has a vast array of fragrances and accessories to meet your needs.
I came in looking for a new hair dye and cut. Shelby was my stylist and she was amazing from the minute I sat in her chair, to the time I left !! She gave me just the right color of highlights I wanted and the haircut was on point to what I showed her I wanted. I will be coming here to see her again when I need to be touched up😁
Ordered two items to be picked up in store. Never received notification it was ready to pick up. I called to check status and associate had to hunt order and told me it would be ready in an hour. At this point I asked her what is needed to cancel the order because I had to leave that side of town. She told me she could do it. Instead, the order comes up as ready for pick up and I have to wait 5 days for it to cancel out to be refunded. I contacted customer service...no help at all. This was my first and last time doing business with Ulta.
Love shopping Ulta for all my beauty and cosmetic needs. They have great products at reasonable prices and the staff are always kind and helpful
This particular location has subpar sales associates. They do not offer any help and the lines are always crazy with only one person at the register. During the holidays we had one sales associate on the floor “help” us but she was texting while she was walking away because she didn’t notice we were still following her. This is the worst Ulta location I have ever been to. They are not knowledgeable either, I did a pick up once and called with a question about the pickup. One lady told me “idk I think you have three days to pick it up” and the manager told me “oh yeah it’s probably already been put back”, meanwhile my email told me that today was the last day to pick it up and it was still there when I picked it up. The ladies at the Trussville location are much friendlier.
Was looked Ng for a decent double sided safety razor. Manager told me they didnt have any, more experienced sales associate brought one to me.
I came into ulta one night desperate to cover up a mark on my neck. A worker named Adele covered it up perfectly and had no judgements towards me at all! Service is amazing! Will definitely be going back and shopping from this location!
Came in here today to use my birthday coupon and to check out this new location. I wont be back. The employees ignored me although I had questions. For this store being newer, it didnt seem like they had anything. I walked out, drove over to the Hoover location. Much better.

Disgusted
Nothing was stocked - I was out of luck with my foundation AND mascara. None of the little areas with q-tips, tissues, etc. were stocked either, leaving me to roam around for a tissue to get a sample off my hand. There were no employees around to help me match foundation to my skin tone, which was the main reason I went there. Overall, it just needs some TLC and employees.
Loved getting a new It cosmetics brush and a new Beauty Blender!! Woop-Woop I LOVE ULTA!!

I had an excellent experience at this location, especially with an associate named adele. i came in at 8pm on a tuesday expecting it to be pretty slow (as a man that wears and plays with makeup in alabama, i purposefully choose this time because people can be judgmental and i just prefer to deal with less people anyway). it was absolutely NUTS! groups of kids running around, playing with makeup, and causing quite a raucous. i guess a movie let out and the kids were waiting on mom, but it was overwhelming. through all this, adele approached me in the tarte section and i asked if she could match me. she was genuinely excited to help and immediately put her box down to give me her full attention. she gave me several different options on my face and then offered to match the shape tape concealer. she even gave me some recommendations for skincare for my very dry skin type. thanks adele, for giving me a great experience during the craziness and making me feel right at home!
