One of the quickest and easiest ways to grocery shop! The sales associate that brought my groceries out was just as nice and polite as can be. He acknowledged me while he was delivering the person before me and told me he would be right out with my order. After he brought my order out, he thanked me for my order. Very good experience! A+++++!

So the Walmart Neighborhood store on Lorna Road will not provide customer service, they tell you they cant get change, the dont restock, they only have one cashier open at customer service for cash no other cashiers at all, all other self check outs are card only with half usually not working. This walmart on hwy 31 in vestavia had 3 cashiers, all cashiers and registers take cash or card, the employees are extremely nice and helpful. I had given up on Walmart all together but the vestavia neighborhood store changed my mind! Walmart you need to fix Lorna Road neighborhood store they are running customers away!

Dirty parking lot, dirty floors, overflowing trash containers, largely indifferent staff. The contrast with shopping at Publix is startling. Only positive is price.

If you want to order and pick up, this is the best pickup location in Hoover area! A lot of parking spots, staff are friendly and very fast.

This location in Vestavia is always quick shopping in and out. Store is well organized to locate items.

It was generally good, but not once has Mayfield ice cream been in stock. I dont know if they even carry Mayfield ice cream in this Walmart, which would make this the only Walmart Ive ever shopped at that doesnt carry Mayfield or is always out. And Im 48, thats a lot of Walmarts. They just need to shut down the business. Let a Publix open up in that spot. Or a Piggly Wiggly. Or a Mayfield ice cream store. Carry Mayfield or Ill even go to the city council and protest your business license. You dont have a right to a business license if youre not going to stock what people want to buy.

Ordered online and picked up after work. I had to wait a bit but not a big deal. Very convenient.

My husband and I have placed at least 4 pick up orders for this Walmart and there has been a problem every time. One day, we had to wait until the next morning. Another time we called when we got there and they hadn’t even shopped for our order. Today, the woman was rude to my husband and hung up on him and then he got no answer when he called back. I would honestly give it 0 starts if I could, I won’t be shopping here anymore. No disrespect to the employees, I just want everyone to know what they’re getting themselves into when they place an order!

My wife and I have used the grocery pick up service from this location many times, and we usually don’t have major issues. We placed an order yesterday to pick up today from 8-9 am before leaving to go out of town. At 9:30am the order still said “preparing”, so we called the location and the team leader explained our order was showing up in one system but not the other. So, it wasn’t in their que to be picked. We asked what the solution to that problem would be, and she said there was nothing she could do. They just had to wait for it to show up in the system to be picked.I called Walmart customer service at 11am, and we ended up having to cancel the order and received a $10 promo code. So, no groceries.We have had nothing but positive things to say about this service in the past, but here recently they have seemed to struggle with executing the grocery orders on time. We are definitely hesitant to continue to use this service since they are not 100% reliable and aren’t able to quickly resolve the issue.

My order was late. I waited 45 minutes once I got there, and they put my heavy stuff on top of my produce and bread. I realize that they were in a hurry, but heavy stuff does not go on top of delicate stuff. Thats just a given.

About what you expect from Walmart. You can get a good price but at the expense of service and quality.

Ive been too wal Marts from all over the usa. This was the worst wal mart I have ever walked into. The employees are not friendly and trash all over the floor on all the isles. The tomatoes in produce had mold on them. I will never return too this location. If there was lower than 1 star I would give it.

Low prices yes but the service continually gets worse by the day. I just had a girl close the register on me after Ive been waiting there a couple minutes. There are no open registers - that was the last one. She laughed in my face and so did the rest of the ladies standing there. Not sure whats so funny about giving absolutely zero customer service. Sure, there are a couple self-serve lanes open but none of them give cash back. Oh well..

Clean and well stocked for a neighborhood store. Friendly staff. Easy in and out.Update post-COVID - employees here are NOT wearing their masks over their nose. It is worthless if you don’t. Just take it off. The virus is in your nose. Do it right or this pandemic goes on forever. I saw at least 3 other employees with open noses.

Grocery pickup is terrible. I placed an order at 9:30 am and scheduled to pick it up at 5 pm. By 5:40, I was told my order was still being picked and that the only way I could cancel my order would be to call corporate. I walked inside and got additional items I needed and still, my order was delayed and being picked...... it was eventually canceled after about 2 hours, due to an errorI had SIX items total. 6.

Sat there fkr 20 minutes before he brought my order out. Then he literally grabbed handfulls and just threw them in the car so the bags were all broken while he apologized for taking so long. Dont apologize if you are going to make it difficult for me to get the groceries in the house bc my bags are all ripped.

For this to be in Vestavia, I was shocked at how run-down and dirty this store was. I mean, thats par for the course for Walmarts in general, but it looked particularly sad inside, like an old Food World right before they went under. At least the prices were lower than some of the other stores.

Vicki in the Walmart Vestavia Pharmacy thinks its a joke that she doesnt need to wear a mask properly. Two of the four pharmacy employees had masks below their noses while filling perscriptions. The deli worker was cutting meat with her mask under her nose and two other employees were stocking shelves with theunder the nose Walmart style. I asked Vicki, Does the store not teach you how to wear a mask properly? She just laughed and said, Nope! She obviously thinks its a joke that covid rates are spiking and people are dying. Apparently Walmart does as well if shes telling the truth about them not teaching employees how to wear a simple mask to save lives. I called back after leaving to speak to the manager but the employee just put me on hold and nobody ever answered. Walmart thinks its a joke that over 243,000 people have died from covid in the US

This one was bad dirty, shelves a mess and poorly stocked. Most of the employees had a poor attitude .

Im interested to know why the shelves have more odd brand pears and no regular Delmonte pears, halves and slices? If the shelves are bare, that means you need more of that product and less of the ones that are left on shelves. Very frustrating. Other stores like dollar tree and dollar general have this stuff.

As always an economical and pleasant place to buy my groceries. Also use their super pharmacy. All the pharmacists are excellent and helpful. The techs are friendly and qualified. Service is fantastic and they really care about their customers.

Waited 40 min for 7:00 pickup and still not ready. Then had to leave to go to work. I then went back during my work break and waited until all cars there had order delivered before I got mine. Couldnt leave message on pickup phone # as it was full all morning. Please hire more help or pull orders the night before except chilled items. Thank you.

I love my neighborhood market! I often go couple times a day. The self checkouts make it much faster and they still keep prices the lowest in town!

Love this store. The employees are so friendly, hardworking and helpful. It is very difficult to come across workers who truly care about people and it is not about a fancy title or paycheck. My son Jay is one such worker and I marvel at his work ethics and dedication . Punctual, hardworking, never complains,, and rarely ever calls in sick. God bless the employees of Walmart especially in the midst of this pandemic. You are truly heroes!

Store is always clean, neat and tidy. Staff seems friendly and does their job well. Pharmacy staff is also pretty helpful, especially the LSU woman!

Everything was great except leafy produce. Like the raw collards, turnip greens, etc. They always leave them out too long and they dry up and wilt. I had to start buying the bags of shredded collards and turnip greens because they were fresher and not dried out. Produce used to be better. So you have to find out the day they put it out if you want it fresh.

The all the Associates I came across were very friendly and kind. In particular, the one by the door tucked my heart. She made the polite effort to connect with a customer who sat down near the door. His response was that his back hurt and she was very empathetic towards him.It was delightful to see such care and compassion and the effort that the associate put in to connect with a customer.Well done!

The produce section has gotten better but still not as good as the neighborhood market on Lorna Rd. They are always low on some stock produce/ or out of several things like tomatoes or potatoes, etc. during prime shopping hours and the produce isnt as pretty as the one on Lorna Rd!!However, the rest of the store is doing better (except the cosmetics area: no Walmart keeps their cosmetics as well stocked at all times like the Pelham Supercenter does!!) about keeping things stocked!But the staff are incredibly nice and helpful! And the pharmacists and pharmacy techs are the best!! Best pharmacy anywhere hands down!!!

It used to be excellent!!! But, they dont believe in housekeeping evidently. The handicapped toilet never has basic things, toilet paper, paper towels, soap. I tell them about it and they claim teenagers use all of the stuff...? I said, ok, but you need to put all the things in there, I dont care about their excuses just treat the vulnerable part if the population with as much respect and decency as nonhandicapped. WE ARE NOT less important just because were disabled. OH and they need to stop allowing their employees smoke at the front door!!!!

A+++ store rating because the employees all seem so happy to be working at that location which to me means the store managers are treating their employees like theyd like to be treated. Pride in the stores inside & outside appearance seems most important and it shows in how clean, tidy & orderly the isles are even when restocking! WOW!I Ive shopped at the Vestavia Hills, AL Neighborhood Market since it opened and have no plan to change my shopping locations...EVER! :-)

I wasnt exposed much to Walmart growing up. Now that Im semi on my own, I frequent Walmart quite often. I used to think of Walmart as a cheaptsters domain, now that Im familiar, and observant of what really works, in fashion, accessories, home goods, and foods, and just causes, as I range the prices and practicality, of other pricier places,I find the price being the only, justdifference. Sure the clothes arent, model inspired.( But, there is always a way to make, IT work.) Its not hopeless!I am a Walmart addict. A healthy addiction, mind you.ILUVU***GOD BLESS*** KIM H.

Its a green (Grocery) Walmart, but its the biggest green Walmart Ive ever been in, its like a Neighborhood Market Supercenter. The pharmacy is really good, the way they text me when my medicine is ready so I dont have to waste time waiting an unknown amount of time. They always have enough checkouts open, plus several auto checkouts so theres not ever any wait to checkout, unlike say, the Walmart on lakeshore where there is ALWAYS a ridiculous wait.

This store really needs improvement in the produce, meat and bakery/deli departments. Have bought packaged and bagged produce that is not fresh and other bulk produce the freshness and quality is not good. Also as in most other Walmart stores, customer service and friendliness needs improvement.NOTE: raised to 4 stars 4/18. Remodels and added self check outs really helped. Produce still needs to improve!

This is my go-to place for my allergy medicine. I like that it is a smaller version of Walmart and is right on the Montgomery Highway in Vestavia. I prefer small stores where I can get in and out quickly and this Walmart seems to always be open when I have forgotten something for a special meal or need something on a holiday!!

Friendly staff. Neat and clean. Bathrooms looked great and the cleaning lady had not even started yet.

I had a fall and was unable to get up without assistance. I did finally get up with help from one employee and another customer. The personnel manager did finally get the correct form to fill out and did offer and retrieve a bottle of water for me, however no one offered to call someone to check me out even though I repeatedly stated that my leg was painful and swelling and my back hurt. Firemen were outside the front of the store surveying residents, but they were not alerted to my situation. I was told that I would get a call from someone tomorrow checking on me.

Great local store for all your basic needs. Makes it more convenient than having to drive far to a larger Walmart. The employees are nice. They keep the store stocked well which is always a plus.
