This place has been around since I was a kid and its good to see little stores can still make it even through covid. They dont have a lot of stock or inventory but they have some good stuff for sports and other hobbies that are physically actuated.

Cool place to shop for the gear and other things you need for outdoor use but they NEVER have ammo that we need.

Only place to go for shoes and the sales price for knives was great, $12 for this little jewel

Store is just like every other Big5. I went into this location looking for a punching bag. They had a few different kinds on display but none in stocks but 1 type. Why put up different options if you dont have them.. Great customer service tho. Also no speed bags either, why why why??

This a great place to find a deal. But you have to visit it often to find the best deals.

For the High Desert it has a pretty good selection of inventory at reasonable prices.

The knife selection wasnt always so swap meet, there are some hidden gems by brands like Buck, Kershaw and UZI, but the cabinet needs more bush craft blades, less tacti-cool made in China stuff. All that is on amazon for $3-$6 cheaper anyway. I miss the CRKT Big5 exclusive knives, I bought the Hyphenate by CRKT there pre-Covid and it still serves to this day. Everything else is the same, bigger airsoft gun selection, but thats about it.

The worst display of customer experienced recently, three employees having conversation while customer is standing at glass display case for while, which if hadnt interrupted it wouldnt know how much longer would have waited to ask for assistance. I try buying from Big 5 because have for years but last two experiences in that store has been very stressful and highly annoying to not get good customer service. I still purchased $200 worth of merchandise but will be going to Big 5 in Apple Valley to see if get better customer service there. I have no thanks to give but advise on pay more attention to the people who support the business.

Bought a California state fishing license. Staff was knowledgeable

I bought a pair of shoes and they did not take off the alarm.I went back without the receipt because I didn’t think to keep it and they said they couldn’t take off. I understand this is a security precaution but what upsets me is that the alarm didn’t go off when I exited the store with the shoes but it did when I came back.So be careful check your purchase because the staff does not know how to take the alarm off and the machine might not go off.

Yaritza has HORRIBLE customer service. I came in and I was received with a bad look and a very low/monotone “welcome.” I proceeded to shop and her eyes were on me for the majority of the time. I felt super uncomfortable so I wanted to get out of there as fast as I can. I got my clothes and went to check out. She rung me up, didn’t ask me a thing like “did you find everything okay?” Or didn’t even talk to me, she told me my total and said “you’re done” then gave me her back; she just turned around. This happened 03/03/2021

Bought 10x10 popup on sale for $80 regularly $159.99. Do not buy 1st time used at beach velcro came off canopy. 2nd time frame broke and was no longer usable. Thankfully the manager did give full return. He said normally not supposed to for wind damage. 5 stars for manager and zero for product.

I went into the store which is packed full of merchandise, friendly store staff that greeted me when I walked in the door, I am familiar with the store so I went directly to the shoe department. I was in need of a new pair of running shoes. I found a pair of Asics gel that were really form fitting to my foot. They are black and grey with a set of light red stripes down the sides. However the shoelaces were a type of lavender color that did not match the stripe at all. I asked the young salesman if there were any like this that had a more color matching shoelace? He informed me that that was the only color style they had. I must tell you I was disappointed, especially since I knew he could see that I was not happy with this combination. So then I asked if he had any shoe laces that were other colors. He said yes and showed me a rack full of different color shoelaces for $2.99. So I picked out a color that matched the shoes which I dont figure I should of had to do that, but I guess thats they way business is today. I figured since I got $20.00 off of the regular price since it was an Independence day sale I shouldnt complain about a couple bucks. So all and all a good experience.

If you are looking for a gun, dont go there. They dont have anything but pellet guns. At least they have the ammo for those, which is what we were buying that day.

BIG5 had a small selection for last minute, boys size 3 baseball cleats. They were on sale and we spent less than $25, out the door. Very quick service, in and out in a flash!At Dicks, we had to hunt down employees, nobody really KNEW for a fact exactly if and where to find cleats in his size. Turned out they didnt have anything for him under $50! I dont even know if he likes it yet. Im not spending all that cash to find out he hates ⚾️🤨

I love their 1 Day sales. I picked up more 20 oz. Wellness brand tumblers for $6 each. They are high quality and work well for hot or cold drinks.

I like this store. I use to get advertisements all the time from them, but havent had any in awhile. Made me wonder if they were having financial troubles like the much larger sports store in the nearby shopping mall. They had what I was looking for at the price I wanted to pay. Im glad to see that they are still around.

Following in my fathers footsteps Big 5 is my favorite choice to shop for good quality footwear at discount prices. I dont mind paying well for high quality hiking boots or trail runners but, I dont need to wear those every day. Still, I like good footwear for daily use, and thats what Big 5 does best.

Store is usually clean and well stocked. Staff is usually around, helpful, and friendly. Prices are good, but watch for sales and ads, they can be really good then.

Good prices and A+ great customer services especially in the hunting department. Took handgun test, bought two shotguns, locks, and left confident that all went through well. Will definitely shop here again.

Overall they were helpful but slightly put out for reprinting a receipt we seemingly lost between the purchase and the car. The store is well stocked but almost to a fault - it is bursting at the seams and a bit overwhelming. A good sale is going on though with fair prices.

Great prices on boy shoes

I used to buy the no show PowerSox, Gold Toe, for my husband for many years because they have enough cushion and were at a reasonable price. They havent been carrying those socks for a while now. Ive asked their employees why the company is not carrying those socks anymore but unfortunately they cant give me an answer because they dont know either. Ive been told that they sell whatever corporate sends them. This is a perfect example of fixing whats not broken. The employees tell me that the socks were selling well and I believe them because I used to buy them a lot, but corporate decided not to carry them anymore. They do have other socks that are comparable to the PowerSox but the price is outrageous. Big 5 needs to focus on customer satisfaction. Its unfortunate that now I have to be shopping elsewhere for those socks.

Well organized. I almost always find what I need. Shoes are a hit or miss but if you find something you like theyre usually at a good price or on sale. For such a small store they have a lot of departments.

I went in here to buy a couple guns. I have never bought guns before but travis explained the process and got all my paperwork done quickly and politely. I cant wait to try out my new guns on our hunting trip next month.

Stopped by this Victorville big5, Quite a mess that store is. Bought a basic baseball shirt, well noticed workers gave certain customers dirty looks, maybe because they were let’s say “minorities”So if you fit the description be aware.

I go in later in the day, so the store is always a little disheveled, but when you use the coupon, the price isnt bad. I refuse to shop at Dicks.
