Large, clean store with everything you need from a supermercado. Fresh fruit and vegetables and a robust meat selection. I especially liked the specialty aisle.

You can always count on Northgate for fabulous produce and casera tortilla chips, my favorites. They also have pretty decent guacamole, altho I prefer to make my own...I have never had a bad avo from Northgate, and thats saying something.

Very clean and well-maintained store. I havent seen a fresh meat counter in ages, good customer service as. Some prices were a little high others were good so it evens out. If I am looking for a specific meat or seafood I will definitely go back.

So I ordered a Tres Leches Cake, paid for it in advance and made arrangement for someone to pick it up for me the next day. It was a simple cake for a 50th birthday. I paid $30 for it and this is what I got (picture attached) . I could of wrote Happy Birthday Jon myself if I would of known that they would get anyone to write it. HMMM the cake decorator must have called in sick that day.. Well at least the cake was good but I wont be going back anytime soon at least not to order a cake...

Its a really great place to find products from Puerto Rico, Central & South America here. Not many stores or super markets here in Southern Cali have that type of variety but Nortgate Market does.

So I went shopping here for the first time a few days ago-- it was very depressing and overcast a day.It was having terrible day! So much so that if a baby would have smiled at me, I would have walked the oppositedirection.Anyways, I walked in and Im greeted by this very bubbly person at the door.She was so friendly and says, I hope youre having a wonderful dia nublado Her smile and attitude was very contagious.Glad shes at the door greeting moody shoppers. She turns frowns into happy faces.I went back a few days later and she was there again with the same smile and attitude...shes so genuine! Keep her!And this store literally has everything! Even Tacos 👌🙌

Then theres the carniceria, meat prepared in many ways and several marinated and ready to cook. Spend some time here to fully appreciate the awesomeness that is our local Northgate Market!! This review is based on the bakery and food department: the customer service that the ladies and gentlemen provide is excellent. The food is delicious and always fresh. An associate recommended a sauce I hadnt tried before. The sauce she recommended is now my favorite. Thank you!

If you like Mexican food this is the place to go. The sweetbreads they have are amazing they also have homemade tamales chicken beef pork and cheese and jalapeno which is delicious all of them are very good. As you walk in the door youre greeted are these girls that are serving homemade cooling refreshing drinks. Dont pick one, ask the girl its actually serving the drinks what she recommends. She will mix you up a concoction are several different drinks when she asks you what kind of stuff do you like and believe me these are delicious concoctions. The cashiers are amazingly friendly everybody did I ran across that work in that store went over and above to try to be friendly and to help make the experience well worth going there. Will I go back heck yes Ive already been back a couple of times and I plan on continuing to go back!

Hello every one hope you all and your familys are staying safe and healthy. I just wanted to share my experience at the vista, CA Northgate market on 4/30. I want to start by saying I usually love going to northgate they have the best cocina and bakery. Their employees are always super helpful But this time around I bought 12 lbs of arrachera meet at $6.99 a lb a cake for most people it might not seem like a lot but at this point in time its a luxury to me due to hours at work being cut, the kids not attending school due to our current pandemic seems like grocery bill keeps getting bigger and bigger but decided to splurge little for my daughters 10th birthday dinner. She has not seen the entire family for a while because of mandatory quarantine so she was excited to have a couple of cousins over for her birthday but unfortunately the experience was ruined by the awful meat that I purchased at Northgate it tasted old and almost expired i had to toss away most of the 12lbs of meet since everyone decided to get full with the rice,beans and side dishes because they hated the taste of the meat and were afraid of getting sick from eating it. I KNOW we are going through hard times but come on Northgate its not fair for you to sell that type of product other then ruining my doughters birthday day BBQ I feel like I was robbed since I got nothing in return specially in this time of hardship . I dont have the recipe any more. Not sure if I can get a refund or what can be done to correct this awful experience.

This place has everything a super grocery store would have plus more! They have a lot of prepared food you can just go buy and eat. They have tamales ready to go they have like 6 different types. Carnitas sold by the pound guacamole and chips or salsa. They just have so many things here to eat.
