Plan to be stuck there all day....This location told me an appointment for oil change would be under an hour on the phone. I made an appointment. Showed up to appointment and he said will be done about an hour. I walked around for an hour, came back expecting the car to be done. The man working said it wasnt done yet and then went into the garage and avoided me for the next 45 minutes. I see my car get driven from garage around the block and then brought to curb. The man finally comes back in to check me out for the bill. I asked why did it take 2 hours? Is everything okay? Everythings fine, your car is good. Only one oil technician today sorry.I suggested he tell a more realistic time in future if thats the case because an hour over isnt acceptable. I had another appointment scheduled after that which I ended up late to because of this. Seemed not to care.I asked my husband about his experience there and apparently it was 3 hours wait for him but I think he was a walk in the day he went (I had an appointment set).

I called for safety check .They said first come first serve.I arrived before they open so I was first.they said itll taking 1hour.I was watching what they do but they just did what ever left over from yesterday. No one do safety check inspection separately. after 1hour I ask my key and document and I left. They shamed the company. Ill never go there again.

Most of the time they can get to your vehicle in a timely manner. Kinda in a random location on the side of Kam Highway. Negative is your going to pay retail price + for anything you purchase. Best tip is to use this for regular maintenance and have another location for the more advance mechanical issues. This place is great if you get the right person. There are some really great help here but you can run into employees that are not as easy to work with.

Aloha. Couple days ago I went to get a safety inspection done. The safety inspection itself was timely however I did have a problem with mask-less staff going into my car— they drove my vehicle into the maintenance garage without a mask on or anything. Even when talking to me, they stand close without a mask. I would rate lower but the safety inspection went smoothly which was the only upside. At least if I have covid my car safety is up to date lol.

Took my car to get my oil changed and tires rotated. Really one of the best places around for your automotive repair/maintenance needs. They never BS you, just always upfront. Very friendly staff as well.

Been visiting since the 90s and they still have records of my old vehicles I previously owned. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I brought my new tires and they were able to accommodate with my requested needs.

Was a regular customer of theirs for 3 years for safety and maintenance repairs. Honest mechanics. Sometimes theyre pretty busy so you got to work with that (dont go at the end of the month or in the afternoon). Had to spend a good chunk of money on my car at times, but I expected that.

Went in for a safety inspection and they recommended 2k dollars worth of work. They said my tires were worn down to the radial and needed to be replaced. The only problem is the tires are a year old and this car only goes a few miles a month. I went to a different safety inspection station and of course passedBuyer beware!

WACK! Do not go here! Went for an inspection and they gave me a list of shxt wrong with my car that had nothing to do with the inspection. They told me my tint was too dark (you can see right through my dam windows) and my windshield wipers wouldn’t allow me to pass the test. They literally passed my vehicle with the same inspector last year. Took my vehicle to another location, I was seen in 15min and passed. 🤷‍♀️

Did more damage to the car then they fixed and then said they did do it but would not show the video of them working on the car. I wont take a bicycle there for them to change a tire

I will never again assume that an automobile service center in the middle of a busy city would be reasonably priced, empathetic and personable. I needed to take care of a tire and needed it done quick. I was left to using Midas in the middle of Wahiawa (a very busy town). I was prepared to pay high prices and be treated like a number in the queue. I did not expect it to be completely opposite of my expectations. I worked with Dar. He and the whole staff took good care of me and left me feeling like I was valued as a customer and as a small town local boy. I have 3 words to demonstrate my trust with this store, Take my money.

I had been there earlier in the day but the wait was a little long and decided to come back later. Came back and still had a bit of a wait BUT they were super helpful and understanding. Needed an inspection and got it but apparently my windshield wipers needed to be replaced before they could pass it. I went back and forth about it cause I was certain I could get them cheaper and installed free through Walmart and my husband/myself. The shop manager said I had been there long enough not to mention have been there twice and had been super patient so they price matched for me and saved me like $30 and another trip.

I just want to thank the 2 ladies at the Front desk in Wahiawa Midas for going the extra mile in finding the nearest location and quote to get my 2 front tires changed! They have by far, provided me the best Customer Service anyone could ever ask for! I hope both of those ladies get a good raise because they definitely deserve it!!! Thank you so much! 👍

I can only speak on their safety inspections, but they are friendly. They get busy so its best to get there as they open, I got there at 720 and 2 cars were ahead of me. The girl the the front advised that the end of Monty was the busiest time since everyone was renewing their cars before the end of month. It was our first time registering cars, and she fully explained everything to me when I got there.

No help. Wouldnt or couldnt repair a tire. Had to take it back to the dealership. The dealership easily repaired the tire.

BEWARE. Safety Inspection scammers. Fail vehicles for ridiculous reasons and try to upcharge for repair. Today alone while waiting failed 3 cars ahead, and each/all quoted over $1500 in repairs. (Young kid, female and older couple that didnt quite understand what they were explaining) Failed our vehicle for wipers (work perfectly fine and in good condition), brake lights (all are working perfectly), and battery holder bolts?? Tried charging $140 to repair. Good thing my wife had enough sense to say wed repair elsewhere. I would go ANYWHERE else but this place. Poor service. Read the reviews!! Had numerous bad experiences here but still try giving them benefit to be better. Year ago waited an hour for them to open at posted time. Receptionist apologized but then was told had to wait 45 mins for mechanics to come in. Terrible. Last time.

Took my gfs car there the other week and i must say, excellent customer service from the two ladies in the front. Helped me out and recommend some stuff. Mechanics did a good job with the service. Recommend going there and trusting them with my vehicle.

While the female front desk worker was very nice and helpful the rest were rude and nonchalant as if they could careless. When explaining a process they were very vague and weren’t open to any questions. I would recommend going to flagship

I have an older vehicle with a carbureted v8, rebuilt the motor myself but have never been able to get the carburetor tuned right. So I stop in speak to the receptionist, no problem they have a guy that specializes in Carburetors, told her I wasnt sure what the problem was. Setup an appointment over the phone. Had to wait an extra day because the mechanic wasnt available Tuesday. Vehicle dies on me last night, sweet at least I have an appointment in the morning, schedule a tow truck to pick it up and drop it off. Tow truck shows up late, do the responsible thing call them to let them know I was going to be late due to the tow truck. Receptionist takes down the vehicle information, heads out to the shop to speak to the mechanic, comes back and tells me. Dont bring it in. He doesnt want to work on it. The parts are hard to get tried to explain that the motor wasnt stock and had new parts. We wont touch your vehicle so dont bring it in. I agree and the line goes dead, not even a chance to reschedule, left me high and dry with a busted vehicle I even had to take time off of work to get this taken care of. Something I would have expected from a shady back alley shop. I wont be going back

I came in with an 8 am appointment, my car wasnt even in the bay until 9. All I wanted was a simple oil change and I had a coupon for conventional at 39.99. The lady at the desk immediately tells me I need full synthetic at 89.99. Ive been getting my oil changed for 4 years on this vehicle. I think I know by now what kind of oil my vehicle takes. Guess who wont be asking you to do my brakes...

I had wonderful customer service! They were able to tell me right away they didn’t have the tire for my car but they were able to get it from the warehouse within an hour, and have it done and put on within another hour!!!! DAR was the name of the guy that helped me and he was so sweet and knowledgeable!!!! He also let me know one of my other tires had a “bubble” so that needed to be changed as well so he order it and I’m going after work tomorrow!!Side noteThey have the “fivestar” system (the little white “iPad” looking thing you Enter your phone number and they are all over the island and you get deals and discounts when you use them) anyways I got a Text this morning saying that my next visit I get $10 off an oil change!! Which is awesome because when I go get my new tire tomorrow I was going to get an oil change as well.... so boom!!! that’s awesome !!! Really all the employees are extremely nice by my experience everything was done in a timely manner! Fast and easy service

Our truck went in for oil change & tire rotation. when we got it back, the engine light was on & started sputtering on us. At one point, it would not change gear. We brought it back & instead of fixing it, they just said it was the sensor. We maintain both our cars & would know if it had problems. There was nothing wrong with the truck before we brought it in, and it comes out with an engine light & almost dying on us with our kids in it, far from home!! We are beyond disappointed & now we have to spend more money to find out what the hell they did to it, and get it fixed too! Just to be safe, we are not going to this place again for oil changes. Save yourselves & take your vehicles elsewhere.

Bad customer service. Made an appointment for an oil change and a safety inspection and ended up spending 3 hours waiting. The mechanics took a lunch break in the middle of changing the oil and I was not told about this at any point until I asked the front desk worker what the delay was. Also was then told I could not pass a safety inspection there until I had my tires replaced, when my tires are nowhere near the point of being replaced. They just wanted to push the extra work. Will not be returning to this shop and recommend staying away.

I havent gotten any actual work done but im planning on it. Will update if I use their service.

Went in for a safety inspection. The guy at the front told me it would be 30 min because the only guy who knew how to do inspections was on lunch. I found it hard to believe only 1 person knows how to do inspections but nevertheless I decided to wait. I was the only one there.1 hour and 30 minutes later the guy calls me to the back saying I need break pads, wiper blades, brake flush, and some other nonsense. Funny, I just put on new brake pads 2 months ago and my wiper blades arent even stripped. (I change them myself periodiacally)Not the first time this location has tried to scam a WOMAN out of money unnecessarily. $800 for a car safety inspection for a vehicle less that 10 years old in impeccable condition. You got to be kidding me. And at the end he had the nerve to ask of I was military like he was gonna do me some kinda favor. I will never go to this location again and I advise women/non locals to stay away as well. They are shadyyyy. If they feel like they can get 1 over they will!

Had a 9 am appointment to do diagnostics on my vehicle having starting issues. Got there 20 minutes early and the lady behind the counter said they don’t look at their online bookings. They finally called us back at 3:45 to say they didn’t find anything wrong and weren’t going to check anything else because a check engine light was not on.First problem- not honoring appointments via an online system.Second problem- not fixing the first problem.Third problem- putting us on hold and then hanging up on us forcing us to call them back and giving some lame excuse for not wanting to do any work on a car.Fourth problem-saying that we should just wait until the car dies to have it fixed.Very disappointedHooray for folks not allowing you to be proactive and have a slight problem fixed before it becomes something serious. We will never think of bringing any of our vehicles here in the future.So much for ease of locations.

We always come here to get our safety checks done. I think they offer appointment times to do so, but we usually just walk in to get it done. Usually on a weekend morning, we walk in, check in, and then walk down the street to get some lemonade or something, and by the time we are done our car is ready. Quick and easy!We originally came here because we needed to go to the dmv right after, but after the quick service, we just started coming here all the time for both our cars. Sometimes there is a line to be serviced, as no one is at the desk for whatever reason. Even so, the wait is worth it as the staff there gets through the cars quickly.

Was there for the yearly inspection. Told it may take up to 45 mins, which was no problem. They were done within 15 mins! Staff was super friendly. Recommending them to everyone.

I went for an oil change without an appointment. He second they had a slot they gave it to me and priced it well. Yeah it was a wait but I had no appointment. This is one of the few places I trust.

Scheduled an oil change for 9am, at 1020 my car was finally put into the bay, an hr later and I was still waiting for it to be done. Scheduled appointment 9am finished time 1140am. Absolutely unexceptable.

Midas is such a great place to go and get what you need done to your car! They have extremely fast and efficient staff, it’s crazy. When my tire kept going flat, i brought my car in and wanted to see if they could patch it. I was greeted by this wonderful, happy, and nice girl, her name is Shylynne. I told her my problem and not even 5 minutes later they were already looking at my car and as they were looking we had a great conversation. They fixed it and i never had a problem with my tire ever since, and every other problem i have if i have one, i go straight to Midas and you should to. Ask for Shylynne, she’s the one with the glasses and if she’s not there ask for Theresa. They are literally amazing! Super fast and efficient and you save when you there to becuase they don’t try to charge an arm and a leg like other places!

DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE OR ANY MIDAS ON THE ISLAND!!!!!! They are big name so they know people think they’re reliable.WRONG! I went in today to get an inspection and was told it would be an hour ish two and a half hours later they come back and tell me they found two issues one with wiper motor and one with steering mechanism. They told me with a DISCOUNT and it would be $882. I asked for the pictures they said they took of the worn or damaged parts and they beat around the bush saying oh we only leave notes and then said I’d have to wait another hour for them to even show me proof of what they were saying. Well I take my car to another place to get a second opinion and they tell me it’s ONLY the wipers and nothing else and that they get a lot of folks from Midas hearing the same stories of how they tried to get more money and falsely report issues that aren’t there. I only wasted $25 but I wouldn’t want anyone else to waste their money here. Not to mention the staff were extremely rude and not friendly AT ALL. Literally go anywhere else.

Cannot not recommend this place enough. A brake change with a resurfacing on the rotors should not cost over $600 with a discount. I would of went elsewhere, but it was an emergency. I would post the receipt if I could find it.

Went in to get a custom tailpipe put in and install hangers to the muffler. When i approched the tech working on my car basically brushed me off. You would figure its a custom install you would consult the owner. nope. my tailpipe hits my shock and they did not install hangers on my muffler. Gave them the benefit of the doubt to do there job because i am in the same industry, but was let down.

Went in around 10am to have my tires replaced/aligned and get the safety done for a jeep I just bought. They couldnt give me an estimated time for when a mechanic could start working on it, so they asked me for the keys and said that theyd start as soon as someone could get to it. I came back 2 hours later and they still hadnt started, so I ended up hanging around the lobby to wait. 4 hours later they had finally come back in only to tell me that they wouldnt do the alignment, because the shop was closing in an hour, and that they wouldnt do the safety that day because my insurance card was future-dated for tomorrow. They said they could do the safety if I called and had insurance correct it and show it to them. I called and had insurance send me a correted booklet, which they refused to accept. Thats 6 hours of my life Ill never get back. The only plus side was that the lady at the front desk was super nice.

NEVER would I ever come back! They left my car filter open. Broke my hood release. And every since I got my car serviced Ive had a problem with roaches. Note my car has always been clean. I absolutely hate this place

If I could give negative 5 stars I would definitely do it. I just went here today to get a safety inspection and asked the lady beforehand how long it would take to which she answered 30-45 minutes at most, which was fine with me, I wouldve even been Ok with an hour wait. After sitting there for 25 minutes another gentleman came in to have something on his car fixed. 10 minutes later I see the mechanic getting aforementioned gentlemans car and starting to work on it. In the meanwhile yet another person comes in and has a conversation with the lady at the counter and her last rather harsh sounding words were FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. After having waited for 50 minutes already and my car hasnt even been moved yet I politely asked the lady if I could please get my things back. Without saying a single word, staring at me she got up, got my things and handed them over to me, no apology, NOTHING, not even a goodbye. Im in the military and have always referred Midas to all my co-workers and soldiers new to the island, but that definitely wont happen again. Employees here should really not be working in customer service. Never have I ever received such treatment although I was nothing but respectful and polite.

So, its completely pointless making an appointment here. Anyone that walks in to get a safety check who is local is seen before any non-local. So be warned if youre a haole. This happened the first time I was here but I thought maybe it would be different. Nope! If youre that backed up, then hire more people or stop making appointments. Obviously you cant handle your clientel if the first thing you do when Im on time to an appointment is park the car in the parking lot. Wont get fooled again. Never coming back.

Vehicle inspector doesnt come in until 830. If you get in early make sure you ask to be put on the wait list, they wont ask you. I waited an hour untill 830 and was 3rd in line after being first in because of this. On the plus side the bathroom is clean.

A tire store that doesnt actually have any tires on site. They order them from a warehouse....and you have to wait for that to happen. Then maybe 3 hours later BAM....new tire. They do have a bathroom and air conditioning....so thats an upper.

Edit.The wait is ridiculously long. I didnt even go during peak hours. There was 1 person in front of me and it looked like 2 cars in the garage. I went in for an oil change ended up waiting 3 hours. Then come to find out a few months later had an oil leak. So lifted the car to see where it was coming from and what do you know the mechanic who serviced my car didnt put the plug all the way in.Then my wife took our other vehicle here to have our truck serviced because she wasnt aware of how great the service is and now the truck says that at least 2 things need to be serviced and is having trouble starting. Never had any issues before but after a trip to Midas in wahiawa we have to take it to another shop to figure out what is wrong now.

The receptionist Hoku is very friendly,helpful and quick to check me in. Later, I was greeted by a horrible service technician that had a bad attitude when he first approached me from the start. I told him I didnt like how rude he was and didnt want him touching my car. Little Did he know (or myself) that the owner was standing right behind me and saw the whole display of his bad customer service skills. The owner then tapped me on the shoulder and apologized for his actions and went to have a long talk with him. Later he had to come inside and give me a sincere apology for how rude and short tempered he was to me. I gave him some choice words and then he went back to work. The owner apologized several times for the situation and gave me my service for free. Also said he was going to get trained on his customer service skills. She reminded me thats not how they do business and please give us another chance. She then gave me her personal number and said if theres anything else I can to to help with your vehicle please let us know. Ron,the store manager that worked on my car was very nice and fixed everything on my car that it needed. Ron even called me the next day to follow up with me to see how I was and how my car was doing. Long story short, I was greatful the owner was there to solve this and help me the right way with my car. This facility is overall a great place and has some awesome people that really care about their work place. They made it up to me and I am so appreciative. Huge thanks to Dianne, Ron and Hoku. You guys turned my day around and my bad experience into a great one. I will be seeing you guys in the future. Thanks!

I had my oil changed there and seemed like they knew what they were doing and like they knew how to take care of my car maintenance (oil change and tire pressure light sensor reset, strut and shock inspection) but, when I was called back92.5 hours later), I was charged for a full synthetic oil change (I requested that), no sensor reset, and no shock and strut inspection.I drove off and 15 minutes later I realized that the car computer said that my oil had only 10% remaining. I stopped and pulled over and called the Wahiawa store and the front desk lady laughed about it and said, you know, sometimes the newer cars JUST RESET THEMSELVES!!! Really? And they are a CAR CARE Professional.I drove a little more and called back letting her know it didnt work (BTW, that never works). She put me on hold and came back and said that her tech said to pull over, turn the car off, then turn the key (not the engine) on and off 3 times while pressing the gas and that will reset it. They are IDIOTS!Okay, as you can see they are not what they pose to be. To finalize this review, my engine is now making clicking noises almost as if the oil they refilled/did not refill was crap or didnt happen. When you pay over $100 for a synthetic oil change and nothing else, you expect professional and liable business, especially from a NATIONALLY recognized company as MIDAS. well, you will not get it from them.Dont do it because you will waste your time and have car issues later.

I scheduled an appointment for 11:30 am. I was on time to my appointment, they didnt take my car to start my oil change until 1:15 PM and it wasnt done until 2:15.

It was 3:05 and the lady on the desk told me they stop services at 3 like really it was only a tire change and the place was literally empty.

Went in for quote on one tire being replaced. Receptionist was as rude as she was last week when tried to schedule a safety check. They quoted me $55 more than firestone for tire not including rest of labor etc. wont bother coming back here again

I booked an appointment online for 4pm with no issues. When I called to confirm the appointment, however, she didnt have any record of the appointment and said they do not accept appointments after 3pm.

I feel this place gets a bad rap. I walked in and yes my appointment didnt get jotted down when I called at 0700 and yes my name wasnt taken down either but when I got there the woman at the desk did a very great job correcting this issue and trying to give me the best service she could without being a complete dick to the customers. Yes I needed to wait for more than 45 minutes to see my car go into the garage but once it was in there they were really quick. I watched the entire process of the alignment and all the work they promised was done and done correctly. I got a 4 wheel alignment. The technician was even nice enough to tighten a ball joint that had been severely loosened from my reckless driving which would have cost me way more had he not. Overall, things they need to work on is when you give someone a call verifying their appointment, make sure you take down their name and make sure you enter the data, second try to hire more technicians or take in less work per hour. Giving the benefit of the doubt though, they had all 6 slots full when I walked in had another round in in about 30 minutes and by the time I walked out they had another 6 in there so 18 cars every hour and a half is pretty good for right after lunch. They arent perfect but they do good work and do their best to serve you.

Was told to get the second part of my inspection done 3:30 pm. This place closes at 5. It only takes a second or two to fix my deficiency of failed registration since I am in the Army. They were not accepting anyone else. Waste of time and bad business, the way they treat customers

Safety inspector is off on Friday and Sunday. Cant get a safety inspection done on those two days.
