Adeena and Justin - both are very sweet and were very patient with us while teaching the skills. Also they were very understanding when we were panicking. Will definitely recommend them to those who are interested in scuba diving in Oahu. They will take the best care of you. Also, they are very fun to talk to. Will definitely go back to them when I visit Oahu the next time.

My wife and I decided to try scuba diving which was convenient on our visit to Oahu as we are relocating soon from Idaho to the SW Florida coast (might come in handy getting certified later). Captain Justine and trainer Andrew were excellent and proficient. They have a great system to give us the basics of scuba diving, excellent for introducing one to the underwater world. Great location with cool fish and we got to see several turtles on the surface and underwater. We recommend this if you ever wanted to give this a try before signing up for dive lessons. I would recommend to the company to list on their website during the registration process the health questionnaire based it may preclude someone with certain preexisting conditions from actually diving (now this is done on the boat after signup). Overall the service and the experience was first rate.

We are on vacation from Oregon and we went in to look at snorkeling gear, the lady working was awesome and helped us get the right gear. She was very helpful and attentive to our needs. Will be back again when we come back to the Island.

What a great company, awesome customer service, prices, selection of gear, and boat dives. This should be the first place you go to if diving in Hawaii. Justin is a first class Christian man who runs his shop with those values without preaching. Huge heart and great technical knowledge. He only hires and trust the best people. He will give you the best advice and not just to make a buck.

Most of the time there is nobody in the shop when google says its open. I can go in the middle of the day for a week and they might be there 2 days. often times, not answering the phone when they are open. Its a guessing game half the time to see when they are open. There are a handful of nice people that work thereEdit: I just dont think their business is run properly, and even in the pandemic, the other shops on the island have never had this issue. It seems to be consistency of times they are open. Maybe cutting times, or posting them on the door?

Always super friendly and helpful everytime Ive been into the dive shop! With an amazing selection of gear as well.We had a Cadet visiting for CTLT and we used Aloha Scuba Diving for his discovery dive, absolutely loved it and is now working towards his open water cert!!My Shallow Reef dive was amazing; Divemaster was very patient and attentive to myself and the other diver. We both were having issues with our goggles and he halted to ensure that we both got things sorted out before continuing. In addition he made sure to point out all interesting wildlife and spots for pictures!!100% recommend to anyone that wants to try out SCUBA or further their certifications.

Visited their shop many times for diving supplies and all the employees are super friendly and helpful. The owner is fantastic and his love for diving and ocean conservation is second to none. Went there the other day for the MSD event, signed up, and cannot wait to work with all of them! Highly recommend!

This scuba shop has the best employees! We went today and the lady was so nice, helped us pick out gear, and went above and beyond. They also have freaking cute wetsuits, in colors and patterns for women! Definitely come here, and skip the other dive shops.

Today I went out with Aloha Scuba diving company. I met the owner Justin, I also met Captain Taylor and the Master Instructor Hussein. The boat was the Diamond T. First of all I have to say I was impressed with the company. The boat was in good shape, clean and good order. The Captain was amazing, I watched her as she went through her checks and pre- boarding protocol, Then she briefed us about the boat and emergency procedures, She also drove that boat with such precision, She was confident and and it showed. This made me feel safe.Thank you Cpt. Taylor.The Master instructor struck me as a quiet professional, but when he spoke, everyone listed. He laid out the dive plan and answered all questions. He checked everyones equipment and made sure all divers were good to go. He really knew his stuff! As we descended into the deep, he kept checking to see If I was ok. Then all of sudden there it was (The ship wreck), it was amazing. As we swam around the wreck we saw a giant puffer fish, a eel and a giant sea turtle who seemed to dive along side us. What an amazing dive. I loved it and wanted to stay longer. Thank you Hussein for an amazing experience. If your looking for a great first experience, this is the place and the team. It was easy to call from San Antonio and get a reservation. I even changed it the day before.The boat was kind of hard to find. A better map of the Marina would have been good.I got the impression they only dive a few sites and this may impact my coming back next year as I would like to dive some different sites.Otherwise, They were a great group.

Scheduled our free birthday dive that was included in our membership for my husband and 2 children. All are advanced open water. Showed up for the dive and got told the company messed up and scheduled a dive too deep for the kids. We were given the option to cancel the entire dive or just sit on the boat for the first one.

My wife and I recently moved to Hawaii and were looking for a dive company to go with. Some of the other companies I saw reviews for showed symptoms of…things I would rather not deal with as an experienced diver. One company has stellar reviews but they are all customers who have never been scuba diving but were allowed to dive for the first time with (apparently) no formal instruction. There were pictures of happy (ignorance is bliss) customers standing on coral and doing all sorts of crazy stuff. No thanks. We decided to give Aloha a shot because they seemed more professional. We were right! I have not taken any courses with them so this review is from my experience on two boat dive days.I’ve been diving with several companies around the world and US and I can honestly say Aloha is top notch. Some American dive companies don’t actually guide their dives unless you pay extra for a private divemaster to guide you. Not the case with these guys. You’ll get a proper boat brief as well as dive briefs at each site.Bottom lines:Prices were very reasonable for the US (comparing to Florida and other Hawaii companies)Weights and tanks are provided and on the boat for youBoth boats were clean, well kept, modern, had plenty of space to set up gear, and had nice dive laddersNo head on the boats (I don’t care but someone reading this review might want to know to drop the kids off at the pool before getting underway)Staff is very friendly and helpfulBoat trips are two dives and either morning or afternoonSafety is a top priority. Excellent crew! Hussein “the dive instructor” was outstanding! He was very patient and made sure you felt comfortable under water. And safety is a big priority for this dive shop! My husband and I came here to buy snorkeling gear. I was new to snorkeling when we visited and the saleswoman was very helpful. She gaves us some tips to keep our goggles from fogging. Nice selection of equipment and we were pleased with the prices. Very convention location if youre going to the North Shore from Honolulu.

This shop is one of the best diving operations around. They offer everything from beginner diving to complex technical diving support. The gear they offer is incredible and the staff is professional. I have worked with Justin (owner) for a while and he is the poster child for passion and knowledge when it comes to diving.

I experienced my first scuba diving through Aloha Scuba Diving and was very impressed. Crew were professional and kind. Their apparatus was good. The scenery under the sea was wonderful! The colors of the sea and sunshine, cute fish and turtles, air bubbles that look like snowballs…I’ll remember those sceneries and feeling forever. Especially my instructor Hussein was the best! Im a beginner and I’m not good at English. He explained how to scuba dive easily and encouraged me. He led me comfortably in the sea. It allowed me to enjoy my first experience.Unfortunately, I had seasickness so regretted not taking medicine in advance. If you are considering first scuba diving I’d highly recommend the Aloha Scuba Diving with seasickness medicine. ^^

Have gone out with these guys several times now. I live on island and have been on several other boats and will keep coming back to Aloha for the people that run the show. The boat is great, they always have plenty of water, snacks, pineapple and how can you not LOVE the warm scented oshibori towels post second dive. The boat is great and is in a super convenient location. The crew knows what they are doing and are very safe and prepared. But what really stands this group apart from the rest is their genuine personality and service. When you are on the boat you feel like one of the family and well taken care of. Too often you go to dive shops that make you feel as though you are lucky to go out with them, this is NOT that shop. See you guys on another dive soon!

First dive experience with Captain Justin & crew! Saw some awesome underwater life & had a gorgeous day on the water. Would recommend if you are looking to get a taste of diving with no experience under your belt.

Professional and relaxed, perfect combo! The gear was all quality, new, and well taken care of. Very streamlined and easy booking process and all the gear was on the boat and ready to go when we got there. Justin and Captain Chris are very friendly and safety oriented. We had great dives featuring some enormous turtles, eels, a massive eagle ray, a shipwreck, and countless local fish species. 10/10 would recommend.

I recently went on a scuba trip with Aloha Scuba, and it was AWESOME. He was actually being filmed to be featured in some sort of program in Poland, and I had a chance to dive with the filming crew. Justin led us through the Turtle Canyon, where we saw quite a few turtles, and at some point of the dive he even found a reef shark for us to see! This was the first time I saw a shark and I really appreciated to see this incredible animal from up close. The shark was tiny, and it didnt pose any danger to the party. It was on of the better dives in my life. I will definitely be back diving with Justin.

My wife wanted to dive but she was nervous until she spoke to Justin. We booked and from start to finish the experience was amazing!!!! if you are looking for a great family experience this is your team!! We knew we were safe and we saw loads of marine life...more than we requested! great day!

This is hands down the best Dive Shop on the island. The owner Justin is very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to gear or questions regarding diving. This dive shop has a huge selection of scuba diving, spear fishing, and snorkeling gear and supplies. This is a very well organized and clean shop with a small town feel. I highly recommend this shop to any diver or non diver. They also have a very nice charter boat located at Ala Wai Boat Harbor that I also recommend for your Scuba diving and Snorkeling experience! This will be forever my go to place when I want an awesome adventure!

Had a blast with Capt Ryan and Dive Master Justin! We dove a shipwreck and swam with turtles! Would recomend if you are looking for a personal experience instead of a large dive operation! Only a handful of guests are taken out at a time so each of us felt safe!

We went to 3 different dive shops and this was the only one that took time out and made sure we were fitted with all the proper gear. I’m talking all the way to cleaning the factory film off the goggles! Even if you’re not in the area, I seriously recommend the extra miles for quality service and selection. 10/10! I really can’t picture better service.

I had the privilege of diving with the Aloha Scuba Diving Co crew in January: 😁Both Justin (Owner/Instructor) and David (the Captain) were wonderfully accommodating and professional. Also very safe, which to me is #1 when it comes to choosing what company to dive with.I was on a short trip from Canada with my boyfriend & his daughter who don’t dive. I called Justin to book a couple of dives...he was very informative and open to my 20 questions. 😉 He was also so kind to offer to take my BF & his daughter on the boat so they could snorkel. They were over the moon! The boat was clean, stocked with the necessary safety gear and it even had a washroom! 👌🏻 Justin provided cold bottled water & snacks too. Top notch service. 👌🏻 David was hands on and very accommodating as we went on and off the boat. Him & Justin make a great team!We had the perfect diving day...great visibility and sun all day. The first dive was the YO-257. Not only did I get to see this massive shipwreck (had the US flag flying🇺🇸), but I saw about 7 different turtles ranging from 3ft to 7 ft! 🐢 I also saw a white tip shark AND...heres the craziest part not one, but TWO submarines as big as city buses came by us!!!!!! ⚓️Like 10 ft away from us!!!!!! It was soooooo amazing!!!!!! You could see all the people inside waving and taking pix! It was incredible!!! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻one of my fave dives Ive ever had! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻The second dive was shallower and we were at Turtle Cove which is where the turtles feed...this is where my BF & daughter got to snorkel. It was amazing because there were turtles everywhere and tons of tropical fish. We all had such a great day! Thanks again Justin & David! Hi, just want to echo the reviews of others. These guys offer great service at a great deal. We did our open water certification here before our wedding on the Island. It was a better deal than doing it here in Wisconsin. The gear they let you use (part of the package) is also nice in quality. Would highly recommend!

Great learning experience. The instructors were laid back but knowledgeable and great trainers. Beautiful days and great training sites. Would recommend. Only negative would be the distance of the shop from Honolulu.

The instructors were awesome and did a great job of making the best of a bad-weather day. Despite the circumstances, they were able to adequately keep track of and instruct everyone on critical skills. We had a great set of open water dives on the following day, too. Great SCUBA course!

My dad and I havent been diving for a while, and we finally got around doing it, it turned out that my regulator was broken, and there was something wrong with my tank valve as well. We stopped by Aloha Scuba Diving because it was very conveniently located on the way to North Shore. Apparently the store has a new owner, because last time I was here it didnt look as nice. Please take a look at my picture, the place now looks amazing. The owner didnt treat us like we were clients, he treated us like we were family! I really enjoyed talking to him. He fixed my regulator very quickly, making it better than it was. He didnt have a 3,000 PSI valve for my tank, so he installed a 5,000 PSI just to get my tank ready quicker and didnt charge us extra for that. This is my go to shop from now on. We are also going to book one of his charter boat dives too!

Had an awesome day with aloha scuba. David was our dive master today and I can’t imagine going with a more passionate and professional dive group. David was soo about this dive with us. My girlfriend was incredibly nervous as she has a pretty serious fear of being submerged. He made her feel comfortable purely through his obvious experience and professionalism as an instructor. Besides that, there goal was to make sure we enjoyed our dive and it was felt. Thank you Justin and David if I can get another chance while I’m in Hawaii my next dive will be with you.

I have had a great time with Aloha Scuba Divers. I got my training as well as 2 dive trips with them. They were very flexible with scheduling and the training was great.

We had some serious problems getting our open water license with them. Well just say it is a story I will still be telling my grandchildren, but they did really good trying to make it up to us. The staff is very friendly.

I arrived in Hawaii not knowing much about diving, by the time i left thanks to Justin and his team I was in love with it. They treated me like family and was very patient with me. I was very impressed with the equipment in the store for sale.

I actually had a really bad experience when I was trying to get my PADI certification on post. My instructor was not mentally stable, on my first open water dive he shook me really hard when I didnt understand what he wanted me to do. My second dive was even worse. There was no third dive. I didnt even think about going under water again for years until my husband convinced me to give a try one more time with Aloha Scuba Diving company.Justin, the owner is awesome. He is super nice and patient. I am in the process of finally completing my PADI certification and I cant wait to go on one of the boat charter excursions.

Good gear.Every thing else was a pretty bad experience.Hours are not what they’re posted as. Randomly closes several hours before 5pm. They didn’t tell us that before we checked out at noon, and ended up needing to lug around scuba gear for an extra day. This majorly affected travel plans but we dealt with it. Several hours out of the way to drive back up the next dayNo one explained they would charge a cleaning fee for sanitizing the gear until we dropped them offQueue the owner, JustinHe angrily told me “I’m the boss and you’re the customer so that’s how it is” as I discussed the unfair cost of cleaning the equipment coupled with the fact we weren’t told about it and how the random closing hours had set us back several hours on our last dayFinally, I convinced him to let me clean the gear with the hose there. At this point it wasn’t about the money, but the principle of avoiding further business with an aggressive shop owner I regret working with.

Start to finish it was a fantastic time. The classroom days were quite dry, but that is not Alohas fault - PADI sets the curriculum. It was all worth it in the water. Day 1 we experienced arguably the worst conditions for our confined water dive (low visibility and steady rain the whole day), but the instructors were patient and helpful, and in the end we learned how to adapt/prepare for the real world more than you ever could in a pool. Day 2 was fantastic visibility. The first time looking up from 30 of water was unreal. The boat was docked in the ala wai and Sarah, the owner, was our instructor. She was tonnes of fun and very professional. The boat was comfortable and Sherwood (the boat pup) was a great addition!

Four #AdventureSluts received our Open Water Scuba Certification through Aloha Scuba. After shopping all of Oahu we found that Aloha offered the best value and flexibility. We opted to pay extra to do our classroom portion of the cert process online. There was a slight hiccup when booking; we called weeks in advance and booked our two weekend days of diving and when we called back the week prior to book a time to come get fitted for equipment they had lost our reservation. Thankfully they took ownership of the error and called in an extra instructor to accomodate us the weekend of our original booking date. All iss well that ends well!Our instructor was Aloha owner Sarah, we were all super stoked on her! She was beyond knowledgeable and extremely patient with our class. She even put up with our silly antics and made the dreaded act of waking up at the buttcrack of dawn almost enjoyable! Its a long two days of diving with tons of extremely important skills and information jam-packed in, but Sarah kept it fun. By the end of day two our class had completed the cert process ahead of schedule! Instead of wishing us well and sending us on our way Sarah led our group on our very first solo dive as certified scuba divers! I booked with Sarah the owner. When called shop about it they said no record of a reservation. Ive been trying to get ahold of Sarah for weeks. Every time I call the shop they seem annoyed of me asking. If they dont want my buisness Ill go to one of the other 20 scuba places
