The Bike Guy is excellent! This is your friendly, local neighborhood bike and trike dealer. I came in to test drive some trikes, but since Im short, my options were a little limited. One of the owners had me sit in a few and there was a clear winner. However, it needed alot of adjustment, so I came back the next day with my family and it was ready. Test drive went off without a hitch! I really appreciate how they took their time to help me find the right trike for me and adjusted it for my size (they can to shave off several inches!). They made sure we were safe and hydrated. They really care about the whole rider. I will keep driving 40 minutes each way for all my trike/bike needs from The Bike Guy.

So excited I cant stand it! These guys let me test drive to my hearts content, I was there for 3 hours and Im on my way home with the best new toy Ive ever bought myself. With E assist this is an unbelievable experience, hills are just plain fun. 😁

This is truly a fantastic bike shop. You can rent bikes for the day, and right outside the bike shop is a fantastic bike trail that you can ride for lots of miles and see plenty of deer. I was told, there are lots of fox on the trail as well. Unfortunately, I didnt get to see them. Go inside and say hello to Rob and Sherry, they will hook you up with a great bike for the day. Just make sure you ride prepared with a CamelBak filled with water if you plan on riding far.

My husband and I recently received two ebike Catrike 559s that we had ordered there earlier in the summer. Rob spent all the time needed in setting our bikes up for us and did not rush us at all. My husband had to take his bike back in to have some things adjusted after riding it the first time and again Rob spent a long time making sure everything was right before we left. Although it took a long time to get the bikes we wanted, we are very happy we waited for them and look forward to enjoying them for many years to come. I have a 15 year old Catrike Expedition that I dropped off for a tune up and to address a ghost shifting problem. What I got back was basically a brand new trike, including 3 additional gears. The trike shifts flawlessly and is once again fun to ride. I live an hour away and it was absolutely well worth the drive. No question; you need work on your existing bike, trike or anything else with pedals, or if youre in the market for a new one, make this your first and last stop!

I have used the Bike Guy for some of my other bikes & have been very happy in the past. However this time I am disappointed. I dropped two bikes off at the end of June. Unfortunately the bikes were damaged by being dragged by our camper. I was told that the frames were good & they could be repaired. After back and forth communication at the two month mark, the staff let me know that it was not worth to fix one of the bikes due to age. I was okay with that. I donated the bike to the charity they work with. I was then told that they were waiting on the part to fix the other bike. After three months of waiting, I called to ask about the bike & they could not find it at that moment. They were going to call me back. Well today, Sunday no phone call. My husband went to the store, & it took them 30 minutes to locate the bike and didnt even know what was wrong with it. He then brought the bike to Trek and was in and out in 30 minutes with the bike inspected & tire repaired.

Took my bike here to get chain repaired and the brakes adjusted. The guy there said verbatim “I am assuming this is a Walmart or Target bike” and it wasn’t worth repairing. My dad then asked if this shop only works on high end bikes and he responded yes. Because the bike we brought in wasn’t considered “high- end” they were unwillingly to repair it. Will never come back here again.

Bought an old but high end bike to try to peddle away my Covid spare tire. Needed a bit of tuning and some adapters for the tire stems. Guy who helped me couldnt have been nicer or more efficient. Did the tuning while I waited for a nominal fee. Told me about the bike - good and bad things and what he would do if he were me. Very helpful. Will ride this one for a while but if I do decide to move up I will be back.

I truly appreciate the young guy taking a moment to fix my sons breaks for no cost today (it took about a minute). However, I was put off by his constant trash talk about the quality of the bike itself. Sure, Its not a higher end bike, but I did arrive willing to be a paying customer. Unfortunately the constant belittling of the bike not being of his standards insured I would never return, nor drop a dime at this place for any repairs or merchandise in the future.

Great Service and nice people. I went in there to purchase a bike and was helped immediatley, i was shown a great bike for a great price and the employee was clearley into bikes aswell. I told them i would come back the next day to buy it. I then proceded to go on an hour bike ride on the trail and decided to instead pick it up after my ride, they were about to close but gladley let me in to purchase the bike and i walked in and it was fully asembled, i was sent on my mary way. Been happy with my bike ever since and i will make sure to come back. They are great people who do great work, Would HIGHLEY RECCOMEND going to them for all your bike needs, they do it all. These guys are awesome! I came in to have a used bike I was looking at buying checked out. Rob went through it with fine tooth comb, gave me all the details on how to ride, adjust, maintain, care for it, and refused to take any money for inspecting it. Even suggested the best trails for it! It’s hard to find great shops like this anymore, can’t recommend enough.

Great, friendly husband and wife shop to rent bikes from. And it’s conveniently right next to the Falls of Neuse River Greenway for a scenic trail to bike along with connecting trails. They helped me pick a bike that was right for the type of ride I was looking to do. They have a variety of bikes, road, mountain, cruiser, hybrid, etc.I always came here to rent bikes for a ride when my parents visited, and on my own once too. Highly recommend The Bike Guy. Definitely coming back.

On two occasions theyve helped me with issues for no charge. I practically begged them to let me pay them. Really appreciate the service and advice. Knowledgeable but with zero attitude that you get from some bike shops. Convenient location at the start of the Nuese River Greenway.

My son purchased a new KHS mountain bike from The Bike Guy. When we walked into the shop, no pressure, they took time with him explaining the differences between the bikes and found the correct size and right bike. Before we even bought it they allowed him to take it out riding to ensure its what he wanted. Great customer service and amazing quality of the bikes they sell. They even did a free adjustment on my daughters bike for us. Great people.

Shop has great hours and friendly staff. The owner has great advice on products and prices are competitive. I had them do a tune up which took a few days but was done well.Plus the location on the greenway at the river gives a great place for a test ride. I didnt do this but they offer bike rentals too.

These wonderfully low-key bike guys took in my 15 year old hybrid bike with a broken bunch of gear teeth and restored it to like-new, including polishing all the rust off its chrome handlebars. They did the work for a reasonable price, no hyena, no trying to sell me on anything I didnt need. Nice folks, great atmosphere. Now they just need a little coffee shop in the corner...

What a great place to go for a bike. Its not just the bike selection, its the location, the people, the service, everything encompassed into one package. Great selection of trikes which I was looking for... Catrike, ICE, HP Velotechnik, AZUB, and TerraTrike. I spent an entire day there riding different trikes on the Falls of the Neuse Greenway right next to the shop. Rob worked with me, made extensive adjustments on each trike before riding to ensure that I knew exactly what I would be getting. I cant say enough great things about the experience. Youd have to be crazy to go anywhere else to shop. This is a hidden gem in North Carolina.

What an awesome bike shop!!! My sons bike had an issue with the tire. When I went to pick it up, I was told that the brakes were not working properly and that an employee just could not have that bike leave that shop without the brakes working. He fixed my brakes for free. I really appreciate the level of customer service I received.Thanks :)

It was time for a tune up and some maintenance on our road bikes. We had seen The Bike Guy whenever we rode on the Greenway trail, so we decided to give them a try.The service was great, and they even had one of the techs stay a bit late one evening so our bikes would be ready the next morning.More importantly, when we picked them up, they were both spotlessly clean, and my seven-year-old Trek Madone ran like a brand-new machine - the shifting was smooth and precise, and everything worked perfectly.This will be our new go-to shop for service!

Last week my wife ordered a new rim. We assumed we could change out the casette, but could not. After he fixed my tire, inflated it correctly, balanced it, and checked the spokes, he said it was free. I left him a tip anyways, but that is integrity. Making the tire right, even though we were the ones to originally walk away. Oh and to get all that tite work done, they only charge like 15 dollars!!! They have my buisness.
