Great selection and knowledgeable staff! Good manga section as well

Best subscription shop in Raleigh. Not just your typical super hero stock either. These guys have the most well built selection of trades and hardbacks around. With a dedicated kids section they also have something for everyone in the family. The staffs knowledge of comics and comic culture is only overshadowed by their friendliness and desire to see the comics industry carried on to future generations of fans.

I am passing my love of comics onto my son and daughter. We have been going here for over 2 years now and we love it. The staff is super knowledgeable and can give advice, recommendations, or simply have discussions about every comic story arc that has come along. They work with my young daughter to keep her abreast of the latest Princess comics, my son loves his Uncle Scrooge and Teen Titans. If being greeted as you enter by a staff that remembers your name and preferences is what youre looking for then look no further.

Staff is very nice, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about their product.I would recommend this shop for anyone in the market.DC/Marvel but also good selection of indie as well.

We cannot stress enough just how much we love Fight or Flight! It’s a clean, well maintained store with a great selection. We have ordered different things from comics to graphic novels and Funk Pop characters. It’s family friendly- Dan, Casey, and Charlie all enjoy kids and have a great little section of kid comics and books! We have been coming to Fight or Flight since they opened in 2015 and now have comics pulled for us. The knowledge of all three owners is spectacular and they can easily handle listening to what a customer likes in terms of shows, movies or comics and recommend something new to try. We frequently find ourselves, with our 9 and 5 yr old kids, just hanging out and chatting about recent comics or movie or books. We are customers for life!

Not since the first bookshop that Barnes and his associate, Noble opened all those years ago has such a fine literary establishment existed. The top notch staff, with their witty insights in to comics and life, makes every journey there quite the pleasurable experience. A visit there is quite like an episode of The Big Bang Theory, only funny and enjoyable. So if you’re in north Raleigh and looking for a great comic book store stop in and check it out

I had been longing for a new hobby for weeks and hadnt read a comic in years! I searched for local comic stores and ran across this gem and Ive been a faithful customer since! Before even making my way to the store, I immediately thought to myself all comic stores are old, smelly and were kept in horrible condition! I was pleasantly surprised upon my arrival... First, the store is amazingly clean, bright, inviting and easy to find whatever comics youre looking for. The staff is great! friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to go above and beyond to assist. They have great deals and sales on their items, especially if you have a subscription box! I would suggest this store to any comic lovers, new or old.

Dan and his partners have a fantastic shop here, and a great addition to the Raleigh/Durham comics scene. The space is clean and really well organized and they curate a perfect mix of indie press and big 2. Will definitely make this a regular stop whenever Im in town.Also strike up a conversation with Dan if hes at the shop. Endless enthusiasm and a deep love and knowledge of comics and pop culture.

Great comic book shop, my family has been buying comic books here for years. Please note that they are relocating to Capital Blvd. and now merging with Ultimate Comics.

Always a pleasure to step inside with the staff, even if budget does not allow for purchase on all visits. They will be moving and merging soon with Ultimate Comics, but that means Ultimate will get better for it, and that a different area will benefit from this staffs presence.

Found this shop last night and its a breath of fresh air. Clean, well lit and spacious with helpful staff and owners. If you cringe when you walk into some other shops around Raleigh because of the atmosphere you owe it to yourself to give this place a try. They do subscription pulls and offer a discount on all items in the store (except consignment) based on the number of titles you subscribe to. Give them a shot.

Cool store. But I miss the awesome descriptions that they use to put on the back issues. That sort of insight really helped to sell the books for me.

This is my favorite comic shop. On top of being a comic shop (which is awesome) all the people are super super kind, knowledgeable, & helpful. They get to know you, the kind of comics you dog, make excellent recommendations, & help make sure my kids find appropriate comics. My family loves making our weekly trip to the store to pick up fresh reads.

I got to have one of the most pleasant experiences here! The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and so easy to talk to and get along with. The shop is immaculately clean, perfectly organized, and everything is in such amazing condition. I walked in and was greeted immediately and felt very comfortable the entire time. Ive definitely found my home for all future comic shopping!

Love this shop. It is very bright and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They have a great section for younger readers as well, which is great for my nephews (who love to read). I also enjoy their random wall of weird - a collection of one-shot and indy books and comics.

I dont believe that there is a better comic store in the Triangle than Fight or Flight. Their collection is incredible, especially for Image and Valiant comics as well as DC and Marvel. Everyone there is super nice and friendly. Theyll help you look for whatever youre looking for and will just talk to you about comics for as long as you would like. It may not have everything, but they make up for it with their incredible service.

Good new comics shop, with some familiar faces behind the counter if youve been around the local scene. Very friendly and helpful. I went in on a rainy Saturday looking for a recent issue and they went in the back to dig it out. Had some great conversation about comics. Found a run of comics I hadnt expected for such a new shop with a smaller selection of back issues. If I wasnt already loyal to my existing LCS, these guys would have a shot at my regular business. Definitely worth the trip. Nice new store, with airy, open layout.

My husband and I were looking for a couple specific comics which they did not have. The guy behind the counter could have been a little friendlier and a little more helpful. The atmosphere was awesome in the store smelled nice and clean but the way the comics were displayed in boxes was supposed to be in alphabetical order but it didnt make very much sense to me. They felt like they were kind of all over the place. If you like superhero, Marvel or DC Comics, this is the place for you. For more obscure / artsy comics, not so much.

First time in a really long time visiting a comic book store. Dan was incredibly nice and informative. Introduced me to some Alternative Comic s and Im really loving them. Went back the next day for Christmas gifts :)

Went looking for older comics which they did not have. The guy behind the counter was rude disrespectful and dismissive, since he didnt have the comics I was looking for. There was no need in that; all I wanted to do is give money for comics. Easy concept. I will not be coming back to this comic book store just because this clerk had bad customer service and really left a bad taste in my mouth. There are plenty of other comics stores that actually want money. The store was also too strong of a potpourri smell but clean. If you like the new superhero comics, this is the place for you. For more older, diverse selection of comics, this is not the place.

Very friendly and approachable staff and super knowledgeable. Happened to be there once for a signing event and really enjoyed talking to the writer and artist. Highly recommend.

This is not your Fathers comic shop! Its clean, its bright, its open, it has predictable hours. I met the staff recently Dan, is very friendly and very knowledgeable. I will be a regular.-The other guy was nice but not as friendly as Dan or else Id have given this place 5 stars.-They need more non-comic merchandise :)-When I lived in FL my local comic shop ran an after hours comic discussion and pizza night in the shop from 9pm - 11pm, once a month. They charged $10 which included pizza, soda and lots of geek chat. It was so much fun that no one cared that we were sitting at a folding table with folding chairs; this place should totally do it!

Nice, family friendly comic book shop. Im a regular so Im a little biased. But i wouldnt go anywhere else. Clean, not cluttered. Extremely knowledgeable staff. You wont be disappointed.

Love this place, very open, bright, organized and smelled great. Greeted right as i walked in and asked if I needed any assistance. Its been a long time since Ive read and got a great lengthy update of all of marvel and dcs story lines. Very much appreciated the time to explain it to me.

Great selection of both graphic novels and single issue comics. Staff there was very familiar with a wide range of movies, tv shows, and of course their inventory to help pick some new reading material.

Absolutely love the staff and organization of this shop. Always receive thoughtful and personalized recommendations and if theyre missing a book they make it easy to place an order. All in all, highly recommend!

Arent comic shops supposed to be kid friendly? My son was playing with his hot wheels car around the shop while I browsed and the employee almost had a breakdown. Very unpleasant. Will not return. Fight or flight? Flight!

Went in on 7/15 to browse at some comics and happened upon the Valiant display there. While looking at one of the tradepaperbacks I inadvertantly dropped some of the other trades. I went to pick them up and the man working there insisted on picking them up and said that it happens all the time. While picking them up he claims that there is now a crease on one of the books that wasnt there previously. Mind you the books fell very slowly and a distance of about five inches. The man working claims that he knows I caused it because they check their books every day for damage. I just find it hard to believe that they check several hundred books every single day and if they do they are doing a poor job considering the condition of some of the other trades there. The man working insisted that I now have to purchase the book since I damaged it. Not wanting to cause a scene I obliged but it didnt sit well with me. I called back to explain the situation and asked if I they would at least exchange it for a book I might actually be interested in seeing as how there was no possible way they could say definitively that I damaged the book. Like I told the guy on the phone I would be happy to pay for something I actually damaged but I find it hard to believe that I caused that crease, the response i received was essentially sorry we dont do exchanges and it sounds like you just dont want to come in again. I understand wanting to take care of your merchandise but making wild accusations and making someone pay for something they may or may not have damaged is not the way to go about it.
