Beware! I bought a lemon for 14K. I bought a truck over the summer from this place and since then the trucks been in the shop for one thing after another. I should Of know when the truck started shaking during the test drive not to proceed. Cameron ensured me the their mechanic would run through the truck so I proceeded. Come to find out it appears there mechanic barley spoke English and is most likely not a licensed mechanic. To make a long story short my experience here was terrible, there was absolutely no accountability not even from Ken the owner. I will never do business with these guys again. They stated the car had a clean car fax but it appears this truck was in some kind of wreck hence why they got a new paint job. Beware do not do business here.
Both Ken and Cam were extremely helpful when I was recently looking for a pick-up truck. They gladly moved 6 or 7 cars just to get the one out I wanted to test drive. A few weeks ago my car died on a Sunday night, that Monday I started to call around to places I couldn’t be stuck without a car for long being a stay at home mom to a very active little boy, road trips to different parks are our thing. I remembered a few months back my mom purchased a car from Wakefield Auto Sales Of Main St and drove all the way to Mississippi within a week of purchasing and her car is still running great, so I had to give them a call. I was pleasantly surprised when they told me I could come right down even with COVID. I explained to them my situation and that I needed a safe car ASAP. They had me test driving that day and I thought I decided on a car( deposit and all) I went home and thought it out some more and wanted to drive a few more cars so I called them the next day and same thing I could come right down and when I did decide on a car ken easily switched the deposit. That was on Tuesday and they had me driving my new car out of the lot that Friday. Overall I don’t think I could of gotten a better experience elsewhere, ken even told me to come back with any maintenance on the car and they’ll take care of it! Do not buy a vehicle from here. I was told every car gets an oil change when they receive it, but 2 months and 2000 miles later I need a new engine because the oil was so dirty. I called for a receipt of the oil change and I was told not every vehicle got an oil change because they wouldn’t be in business.

After visiting at least five area dealerships, I finally decided to check out Main Street auto sales in Wakefield and could not be happier that I did. Ken and Tom were great- Ken was friendly, down to earth and helpful. He was not pushy at all, which I thought was great. He answered any questions that I had and went out of his way to call me when a car that fit what I was looking for came in the day after I was there. BEST USED CAR DEALERSHIP EVER!!!! I drove around on a Sunday morning in the Wakefield area looking for a used vehicle, wasnt sure what I wanted and I went to several, and ended up back at Wakefield Auto Sales of Main Street. There is it was, a 2008 Ford Escape great looking, clean inside and out and I took for a test drive. There wasnt the man behind the door that the salesmen have to back and forth to, not a four hour wait at the dealership, in fact not even a wait at all. I test drove it on Monday afternoon and I was in the car by Tuesday afternoon. It was the easiest, most uncomplicated car purchase I have ever done. Ken made it a wonderful car buying experience. Dont ever try to purchase anything from this shady place, especially out of state!! I wanted to purchase a vehicle and filled out an app from the credit union Ken told me about, only to find out that Massachusetts as a state does not allow temporary plates and even if I were a Massachusetts resident, they do not do that as well. Really would have been helpful before filling out a credit app! Not only is a hit on my credit report but now I am stuck with this pre approval loan for another month and a half and I cant do anything with it!! I was also told before filling out an app that this place uses outside third parties as well to finance, come to find out that was a lie. Would not recommend this place to anyone, especially when they cant tell you the truth!

Bought 2000 chevy blazer that seemed in awesome condition. Well fast forward 3 months and Ive had to replace the alternator, and now the starter. Corroded electrical wires, and other unknown issues, wish I got it looked at as soon as I bought it to rule these things out. Currently it is in the shop being fixed. Not impressed

Looking at used cars in the past, Ive found that many of the cars were not all the clean until you picked them up after purchase. The cars on Kens lot all were pristine when we were looking at them. He obviously takes pride in what he is selling.After picking the car up, we had one small issue which Ken took care of right away once I contacted him. Anyone can sell you a car with a smile, but it really is how they treat you after the sale that really makes the difference. If you are looking for a new (used) car. I would go see Ken. Ken the owner sold me an unsafe vehicle and wanted me to foot the bill after a week and half of ownership ...i feel bad for people that trust this guy .. had problems that i should have never had to deal with. the vehicle leaked just about every fluid there is and badly then tells me he doing me a favor if he fixes it. i found out he bypassed the p/s cooler a (hack job) ...gas lines rusted out fuel pump rusted out gas leaking everywhere ..had local mechanic look at vehicle and he said its the worst he has ever seen ...i called ken and he couldnt care less he even has the audacity to tell me maybe they tampered with it lol..i paid big$$ ..many red flags here ..when vehicle was on the lift it was noticed that very subpar body work was done all over just to sell it at best his vehicles are nothing but lipstick on a pig.. ..AG would love to hear about this guy ..cant wait till he responds with his bs ...to top it all off no spare tire tools and bad spare tire and tire and one key no remotes..stay away you have been warned !UPDATE to owners rebuttal... I like how you are distressed but me driving a truck that you sold me that is gushing gasoline all over the place and I tell you and send you pictures and your response is someone tampered with it thats the distressing part ken! truck was well within the 30 days I didnt even have it 3 weeks when the major issue happened.. your excuses are a joke and yes the Bodywork is amateur at best you do it to hide problems.. I know trucks rust in the Northeast but when the rust is hidden its deceitful.. the truck still has many problems.. maybe going forward you should check all cars for spare tire tools and make sure the spare tire is actually usable mine was not and the mechanism that lowers it was completely rotted out not even anywhere to even attach a spare tire.. I paid over 10k $ for this truck.. I just dont want anybody else to make my mistake..
I am a single mother of 3 boys my name is Chandra slattery and my husband had passed away almost a year ago and I need a reliable car to get my kids to and from school bc I am doing everything myself and traveling from Boston every day i want to make it clear ken was great and knowledgeable but if he doesnt kno he will find out for you but I wish I would have only dealt with ken NOT TOM I saw ken he was very polite understood my needs and gave me options but also he knew my price range but wanted me to be a happy customer but I saw Tom and from the beginning he was impatient and irritated he didnt want to b bothered the car I bought has been running great but the car started to run really hot I was stuck in traffic and the car temp was starting to go past the middle so I called jiffy lube just to have them look at it and Brian ( I think was his name) said both fans are not going on so I went by to see the mechanic and Tom was there also I told them what was going on and what Brian said and the mechanic said that they dont know what they are talking about and told me that nothing is wrong and that I have to get use to the car then he wanted me to leave my car there with no other transportation to get my kids around or even get back home he pretty much said it wasnt his problem i have a son with a congenial heart defect and might need another surgery and he didnt care and neither did Tom i said if i leave it there i need a rental he told me to pay for the rental and maybe i will be reimbursed i asked him to call ken and he said he will try and then hung up on me when i called backed twice he never answered and they were still open bc i was sitting out in front of the dealership another mechanic and it wasnt from jiffy lube said if the car overheats then it will seize the motor and then they will need to put a motor in I dont appreciate being talked to like that and then make comments about my parenting when he started giving me an attitude because I brought my car in for an overheating issue

I went to Wakefield auto sales looking for a particular truck which was hard to find . i told ken what i was looking for and within a month i had my truck. the truck he found me was a great truck at a fair price. all parts of the transaction were handled in a profesional manner. when ken went on vacation sara took over and made sure everything was taken care of, i have already recommended wakefield auto sales to people i know.
I just bought a F-150 Pickup Truck from Ken at Main Street Auto. I found Ken to be terrific every step of the way. From the first time I walked on his lot, he put no pressure on me and just allowed me to look at the cars on his lot without bothering me and waited for me to approach him. I loved this because I felt like I was not being pressured and could take my time looking at all the cars, or even just walk off the lot with no pressure because Ken left me alone to do that.After I found the vehicle I liked, I walked into the office, met Ken and took the vehicle for a drive. Then we negotiated a price. Ken was great here to because he priced the truck with a very fair price (which I knew because I researched online) and so I was already comfortable with the price. So the negotiation was less than a minute, which I also appreciated.I closed the deal on a Friday before a long weekend. There was a snowstorm coming that weakened and Ken secured a second DMV run that Friday to ensure I had the vehicle registered the same day I bought it and would not have to wait until the Tuesday after the long weekend. I mention this because I told Ken he need not worry about having the truck ready before Tuesday because I knew it would be a lot of running around for him with the DMV and my insurance agent. But later that day, Ken called me and told me I could have the truck that same day and he had his guy run around to make it happen that day because he knew I was excited to get the truck, even though I told him no need to rush. Another fantastic experience there.When I picked up the truck, it was very very clean with new brakes, alternator and waxed and ran like a charm. After I drove it for a day or two, I took it for an inspection sticker and the garage told me there was a very minor suspension piece that needed to be replaced and would cost about $150. I called Ken and Ken immediately said to bring the truck down and he would repair it no questions asked and at no cost to me (even though the law allowed him to charge me a $100 deductible). I offered to pay the deductible, and Ken refused to take my money. Ken repaired/replaced the vehicle that same day – and – when I picked up the vehicle, Ken told me he had his mechanic change the brake lines while he was under the truck because they looked a little worn. All with no charge.Just a terrific experience all the way around.I have three sons who will be getting cars when they become a little older and I definitely plan to shop at Ken’s Main Street Auto for their vehicles.

My father and I, and now my kids have purchased numerous used cars from this great couple at Main St Auto. Never had any issues with the transactions and the one vehicle that developed a mechanical issue (Lincoln Town car blown suspension airbags $2800 fix) was resolved with no out of pocket expense to us. I would absolutely reccomend shopping here first and if they dont have what you want on the lot, let them find your car at the auction and bring it back for you. Which is exactly what I asked them to do this Fathers day weekend. Best of luck!
