We ordered a recliner. The sales personnel at the store were so helpful in guiding us to a chair which will meet our needs. We were concerned about our cats scratching a new chair and the sales personnel gave us their best opinion about which chair would be best. The delivery people arrived promptly and were courteous and pleasant. All in all, a great shopping experience. Thank you!

My husband and I moved to Maine and with a new home needed new furniture. We heard great things about Dow Furniture so they were our first trip to find what we needed. We had the best experience and had so much fun working with Lisa as we selected items throughout the showrooms. We selected and changed our minds...alot...lol...and never was it a problem. Lisa just rolled with our crazy humor. Well need more pieces after the house is finished and we will definitely return to Dow. No other experience could compare to the ease and fun we had shopping with Lisa and her team and family.

Hi everyone, I have been a frequent shopper of Dow Furniture Store in Waldoboro for many years. I like to keep my business local and they make it so easy..I have purchased items from both sides of the road so to speak, the Dow Discount store and the regular store, all the employees are courteous and helpful. I usually can find what I’m looking for and at a good competitive price. If not I have order pieces in the past and they have always come in when they said it would..Deliveries have alway been on time and the delivery people are careful and always nice to talk with. I highly recommend this business.

Shopping at Dows was a real pleasure...the sales clerk left me alone to look, but was right there with any questions. My experience at Dow Discount was very positive. I needed a new mattress and the gentleman who helped me did not pressure me in the slightest. He left me alone to try out the beds, which is somewhat of a self-conscious exercise. He told me exactly when it would be delivered, and the delivery was right on time. I am very happy with my new mattress, and so is my back.

Dow furniture store is one of the best furniture stores in Maine and I dare say, all of New England. Their inventory appeals to wide array of customer’s style and tastes. We found a living room set we loved but the fabric wasn’t entirely what we were looking for. Lisa Dow herself, spent 3 hours exploring different fabrics until we found the perfect one! Customer service of that magnitude simply doesn’t exist much anymore. We’ve made several purchases from them throughout the years and they’ve yet to fail us. Give them a go! You won’t regret it!

Ive bought an entire living room from Dow furniture now. I felt like service staff were friendly and easy to work with. Shipping was quick and affordable. Prices of furniture competitive.My sofa and loveseat estimated at 12 to 16 weeks delivery time due to covid. This was not due to Dow furnitures store. it was because manufacturers are not making furniture fast enough. That being said I was pleasantly surprised when I got a phone call on week 11 of waiting.Staff even put up with me checking in once every several weeks to see what the status is.My table sets I picked in store. I walked out with them day of without any hassle. I think Id recommend them to anybody in my area. I would probably tell them to check there first.

We ordered a chair from Dow’s in December and we are thoroughly disappointed by our experience. After calling to check in on the order numerous times past the timeframe when they said it would be ready, the chair finally arrived for pickup 5 weeks later. We drove 45 minutes to pickup the chair just to find out that they ordered the incorrect color. We had to contact a few managers to receive their best offer to remedy our troubles: free delivery for a full price chair in another 5 weeks. The customer service we experienced throughout this process has been atrocious. If you are looking to shop local in Maine like we are, awesome...but look elsewhere!

I had a pleasant experience today. The whole team was awesome, Wil showed me a few products and helped me navigate through everything to find exactly what I wanted. I had to go home to measure to make sure the product would work and when I called back he remember me and had my info right in front of him. I’d definitely buy more furniture here in the future.

The 2 end tables that I wanted were still in their boxes and the person helping me asked if I preferred to transport them in the boxes or have him assemble them? I ordered an Ashley Chair through Dow Furniture on Dec. 11th and was told it would arrive within 2-4 weeks. After 5 weeks, I get a call on Jan. 17th that my chair has arrived. I drive 45 minutes to pick my chair up the following day, only to find out that the chair is the wrong color from what I ordered. After talking talking to 2 different managers, the best I was offered was free delivery and a re-order of the chair. Customer service was sub par to say the least.

Our bed was promised in the middle of September. It came Oct. 23,2017.We had no communication from them until the call of delivery. The delivery people were great. The bed is great but Dow needs to work on communication.
