Carpe Diem is a hidden treasure chest of art and design supplies hidden in a tiny strip center near CalPoly Pomona. They carry many supplies and items for the artist, engineer and designer you will not find in the normal arts and crafts stores necessary for a professional presentations. Their supply of modeling lumber is unbelievable. Only downside is they are only open until 5 PM and closed on weekend.

Its by far way better than Michaels. Their employees are smarter than Michaels, watch if you ask an employee for help, then left you waiting for more than an hour to find what you were looking for. In Carpe Diem, even though its small they know where it is and is so very very helpful. Please visit your local Carpe Diem for top notch art supplies for a good price. Also a little note Google dont know, they might open early when finals are coming up. To help those in desperate need of finishing their art work. I said might cause they did so last semester and Im not sure of theyre still doing it.

Carpe Diem is a hidden gem in an area (Diamond Bar and Walnut) that is otherwise artistically desolate. I go there whenever I need professional supplies at a fair price for a personal project or class project. For such a small store, they carry a lot of variety and high quality materials. Their store hours on weekends can be a bit inconsistent, but its usually because they have taken their show on the road, so to speak. They make regular appearances at local art and comic conventions.

Wonderful find! You wouldnt know by the name but Carpe Diem is a must for art and architectural supplies. I believe they mainly help Cal Poly Pomona students but if you are into art of any kind, you must stop by. It is a local gem!

2 architecture students at home that have to buy a lot from here as it is the closest place available to cal poly campus. Great products, just so expensive. They should be open longer on weekdays, i have to go pick up things for my brothers because they always have class and cant make it there before closing any weekdays when they have unplanned projects thrust on them.

They always have whatever Im looking for, and they have it in from a good brand, at the best price around. Definitely deserves 5 stars.

Got art supplies for graphic design courses. It is way too cramped inside. And they have a no return policy, just so you know. Went on a friday...and they are mostly out of stock of the essentials...

This is the 3rd time over roughly a five year period that the exact same issue has occurred with online ordering. I have no problems with items being on back order for whatever reason. My complaint is that not only do they not flag an item as being on back order so that you know this before placing your order, but they dont notify you of the back order status after the order has been placed; if you check your order status it will simply say processing. When you finally call trying to find out where your order is, you are informed that they send out an email notifying you of back orders, you must not have received yours. Yeah, right. Three times, I have not been notified of back order status, three times I have complained and cancelled orders, and three times they have done nothing to rectify their problem. Their brick and mortar store is fine, but from now on all my online ordering will be done elsewhere - with a reliable company like Dick Blick

We have bought in many material places for my daughter who studies architecture and this place has a spectacular assortment. The prices are normal. Not too expensive but not too cheap. But the good thing is that you can find specific materials and an infinity of tools, which you can usually buy by Amazon but you must wait for them to arrive. This place is a very good option to find what you need if you cant wait. Recommended.
