Great local shop! They have pretty much everything I have ever gone in to find. They are pretty packed with items. Staff has always been knowledgeable and courteous, and there is always someone available to help load heavy items in the car.
Small, convenient and easy access. Helpful staff.
Love having this in town. They always have what I need, the staff know what theyre doing, and the store is clean and well stocked. Im here at least once every other week.
Helen was awsome....extreamly helpful......
Ive started to frequent the warrenville Ace store instead of the closer West Chicago Ace location due to the outstanding service I receive at the Warrenville store. Today is a good example, I asked Steve who was busy stocking about getting some keys made. Steve didnt hesitate to start duplicating keys for me and also pointed out the aisles where all of the other items I needed were located, it was like having my own personal shopper. Plus all 4 duplicate keys I had made worked, outstanding, much better than the do it yourself keys at other big chain stores.
Anthony who assembled a new electric lawn mower for my daughter is awesome. He highlighted the start process in the manual for her, helped me the unit in the van, etc, etc.Great guy great place
This is a phenomenal hardware store. Great selection, and great service. I went there to get some help to fix a piece of furniture, and the employee Steve was excellent with his help & advice so I could get the right products to get the job done. Very glad to have this store in my neighborhood.
They had a hard to find battery in-stock and held it till I could pick it it up.Very nice staff to deal with. Would go back again. Thanks Ace
ACE is definitely the PLACE. Saw what I needed online and it was in stock!
Always ready to help, great locally owned store
A little small as Ace goes. Still a good selection and good folks on staff. Happy to have it as my neighborhood Ace
I had a very unpleasant experience. The checkout person was horribly hacking with no mask on. When I requested to hold on to my items while she scanned, I was met with rudeness. She asked if I wanted a receipt and when I declined she said of course not and crumpled it and threw it away very demonstratively. There was an empty bottle of hand sanitizer at the counter. I left feeling like I needed to be disinfected. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was asinine.
Good neighborhood Ace. Shelves were looking pretty bare in the seasonal section which is unfortunate considering the time of year. The staffs friendly enough and they have most things youre looking for. Beats the hell out of driving down rt 59 to Home Depot or Lowes for basic hardware store needs.
Great little hardware store, very helpful and courtious staff
Wonderful hardware store with great customer service
Fast, friendly service. Buy online and pick up curbside quick, convenient service. Look here first for your hardware needs.
A family hardware store. Extremely friendly folks out there, always willing to help. Shop local.
Helpful staff, had plenty of options I was looking for.-1 for mask req.
Very convenient location for me. The workers here are helpful and nice.
Slightly more money but good guys and good knowledge
Employees are very helpful, both with information as well as with assistance getting purchases out to car.
Ace is the place. Thats my motto.
Looked for outdoor lights last minute and they had them. Good service. nice people.
This is a great, classic hardware store, with friendly folks to help if you are not sure. I am not hear often, as it is not close to home. It is close to my work, so I stop by if I need a quick part or whatever on my lunch hour. Lots of small parts as well as tools. And more traditional products and supplies.
Always great service! Of course we will be back!
There is always an associate available to answer any questions.
Employees know their stuff
I love this place you can find things you cant find in the big box stores, and they are all so helpful they ask you if you need help you dont chase them down . Just an all around great store.
Andy, Danny and rest of staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and most of all helpful!
Fast service, quick on and out, reasonable prices, good people
Great service! Helpful people!
Very helpful clerk helped me with problems with ants!
Every time I come in, everyone is always helpful, with a great attitude. It’s refreshing! 😊
Great place for quick hardware shopping. Super friendly and helpful staff.
This is when “going to the hardware store” pays off. They know their stuff. Willing and ABLE to help...for Warrenville, the hardware world is clearly top of mind and tactile
Very bad service. First time at this store and I wont go back. Tom who works at the paint department was rude and didnt want to help me at all. All I wanted was to get paint tinted. He said he couldnt do a manual that it was best to go to the store I had bought my paint in the first place. Then later said yes I can do manual he went back to get the paint came back said oh I dont have any paint to mix it. I felt he just wanted me out of his store!I would not recommend this store.
The last three years They never fail- they don’t have any wax worms. I’ve been seven times now in the past three years for the ice fishing season and no wax worm and no spikes.. no real excuses just some line “they are on there way”. Keeps me out of the place for anything else.. kinda makes me wonder who is in charge?
Warrenville Ace continues to grow, build a solid customer base and genuinely pleases customers. Even though I may need to spend a few cents more, Warrenville Ace makes up two fold for their product, trade knowledge, customer service and overall interest in solving your problem. Ace paint quality is excellent too. Especially their outdoor paint. See for yourself.
The staff are always polite and helpful, this time, getting me the right paint.
This Ace hardware is very well stocked. Its not a giant store but has everything you need. The staff is cheerful and helpful. The store is run like an one fashioned hardware but with updated product and good customer service. Its with the trip.
My favorite hardware store. Friendly, helpful staff.
This store is great and helps avoiding the time and hassle of going to a big box store for those quick needs. This is the place to go if you need that quick part, screw, bolt etc. for a fixit project. The staff here are also generally very knowledgeable about most home improvement and handyman chores, and are usually more than happy to take the time to make sure you get what you really need. I go here quite often, and I have never had a rude or disrespectful experience with the staff here, my experience has been quite the opposite.
Super helpful and knowledgeable about paint and stains for any type of project. Cashiers are always very pleasant and cheerful. Because of its smaller size, you are able to get what you need and get through the store quickly.
Super helpful, used to be in warrenville and I moved to st Charles and I’d GLADLY make the drive to come back to this Ace. Andy is a great owner and manager and he always has great deals and can help you find what you’re looking for. David was also super nice!
The Best Ace! They have whatever you need, and even things you forgot you needed! 😄
EXCELENT service and selection. The large unique store carries everything from tools to Holiday presents. Staff treat you like family and are glad to bring things to your car for you! Highly recommend 10/10
Can’t get them to answer the phone.
A salesman spent a lot of time with me to find the right product.
Nothing better than your local, hometown hardware store, and Warrenville Ace is always helpful, and appears friendly!
Good customer service, very knowlegeful staff,
Employers very helpful.
Got what you need.
This place is always great if you need something, but going to a major store is a drag. Besides, its on my way home, no detour required. They always carry cheap LED bulb options ($1-2) if you need them. I stop by when I need screws, tools, fertilizer, weed killer, firewood.
Great neighborhood store. Friendly employees
Great local hardware store and very helpful and friendly service. A good selection of live bait for local fisherman as well.
Always helpful, and definitely a better experience than the big box home improvement stores unless you need a TON of stuff at once. So glad its close to home!
Just like any other Ace hardware store friendly and helpful employees
Prices way to high
Friendly service with quick in and out.
I am in horticulture an am also rehabbing a home.I choose this store over HDepot or Menards. They always take the time to help me brainstorm a solution. Always willing to look online & order an item if not currently stocked. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and I like that they seem to enjoy what they’re doing.Thier flower & veggie stock is excellent. 2 kinds of kale, 4 types of lettuces. Seriously? The hanging baskets are awesome but sell out quickly.I just learned that they do sharpening too. A sharp shovel makes a huge difference.
Price option for the neighborhood small mom-and-pop store what you need is what they got great for fishing bait and tackle available
This is one of the worst hardware stores Ive ever seen. The selection is just ok, the staff is quite friendly and helpful. However, the owner of this location is a complete scumb bag. Ive lived near this store for over 20 years and Ive never witnessed price gouging as bad as what took place in February 2019. During weeks of snow storms most stores had run out of ice melt. This jerk had about 25 to 30 bags on the floor and increased the price to $25 per bag. Why? Because he knew the supply was nonexistent and he was going to ensure that he could take advantage of the situation. Im sure the moron owner thought he was making a crafty business move. Instead, this gentleman should realize that consumers arent stupid and this type of behavior will be remembered. I wouldnt purchase a fire extinguisher there if my house was burning down. Rather, Ill happily drive the 6-10 miles to Home Depot or Menards and spend my money where Im certain that Im not being taken advantage of. This creep shouldnt be allowed to do business in this town. Its really not needed. To address your reply, you need to know first that Im not stupid. This review is being written by a professional buyer. I manage over 20,000 skus, one of those being ICE MELT; I know what Im speaking of. In past years there have been wholesale shortages that eventually trickle down to the retail arena and theres been times Ive had to compete with municipalities in terms of supply but prices have never tripled or even doubled due to high demand and low supply. You want people to believe that you locally source your own products and decide what to sell? Your product comed from an Ace distribution center and product decisions and costs are negotiated by the corporate buyers. Ill make it simple for you. You buy a particular brand of toilet paper at Target lets say. And lets say Target loses their supplier or theres a production problem or a true shortage for any reason. Target doesnt switch brands and simply say, sorry, we normally sell this paper for $5 but our source changed or theres a shortage so now were selling this for $15. Why not Andy? Because thats disreputable business practice. Target simply is either out of stock until the supply replenishes or they eliminate the item so they dont have empty retail space instead either locating a similar product at a competitive price or filling that space with an available sellable product. Im also quite familiar with retail businesses and how they operate. What you decided to do was to do the exact opposite, switch products and knowing there was a temporary retail shortage decided to take advantage of the situation. Local, small businesses should always support the community in which they do business. Gouging and playing pricing games like this are completely transparent, even to folks you take as stupid. Be aware that the community in which you enjoy doing business in isnt as dumb as you believe and as the store manager you should be making smarter business decisions. Additionally, having an Ace Hardware store around every corner is a thing of the past. Your company has lost its representative footprint in your market and as such you have no reason to expect people to pay inflated prices for simple hardware items. Youre no longer the Walgreens or CVS of hardware meaning Andy that your company has lost that competitive edge. I need about 10 stainless steel screws today, not a big dollar purchase this time but Ill drive to Menards in Glendale Heights for them, although your store is right around the corner. This methodology also applies to larger purchases and maybe youll now realize that sticking it to folks in the very community you do business in isnt very smart. If the store owner allows you to make these types of decisions then your eluding to that he isnt paying any attention to whats going on with his small business which isnt likely. Rather, this price gouging was done with his knowledge and approval. You and the owner need to realize that youre not very smart.
Excellent, intelligent service and problem solving. May not have the availability and variability of the warehouses, but also unlike them, youll actually be approached for assistance and youll walk out of there knowing more about your project than when you came in.
New to the area and went here. Great customer service. Showed me around the store and got me everything I needed for my project. Wish I wwould have gotten names. I will be back.
So, how do you put a warehouse of stuff in a strip mall store? Ask Ace Hardware, they do it daily, and provide great service at the same time.
Very helpful good store 👍😊👍
Just had the worst customer service experience ever here. Awful, rude, disrespectful employees who dont even know their own inventory. Weird since there is barely any inventory. Dirty store. Rude non-knowledgeable employees. Awful. Hope they go out of business soon.
Very good service
Their always there to help..Great customer service
Every time I visit someone asks if I need help at this Ace Hardware. The guys there are knowledgeable and help solve my DIY problems.
I apologize to Andy for the derogatory comment I had made about ur service and the treatments of your employees. Its non of my business. I should have left it alone. Never will I set foot in the store. Nor call nor speak harshly soon. I hope u can forgive me. I get hot tempered at moments which get me in trouble.
Everything you need to get little jobs done. The customer service is great as well as the workers.
As a realtor, this is my go-to place for solutions and home hardware stuff (from keys to window screens etc). They are helpful and reasonable.
The employees here are polite and helpful. A great place to do business
Awsome service. Super friendly with great advice.

Most helpful staff!! Especially the manager Andy!
Great place to get bait for fishing
Very helpful find what I need
Every service you can imagine a little expensive but well worth it to support small local businesses
Often cannot find what Im looking for. Try West Chicago Ace.
Open earlier than 8am ffs
Great place to go to get advice of fixing everyday household problems although the prices are high but I do understand being ace
Yes. P/up hardware
For some reason they think they can close at 7 when their posted hours are 8, not really how retail works guys
Great customer service.
The place we stock up for fishing essentials--folding chairs, minos, worms, etc.
Higher than average prices
Staff is very helpful
