Vibrant store with good employee energy. The store is split with fabric on one side, and crafts on the other. The store was very clean and well lit. I enjoyed my experience here.

Great fabric and craft store. Able to find great deals and a variety of items. Nice staff. Ive been to the Topsham, Auburn, Portland and Waterville. Clean and organized.

Staff 5 stars. Absolutely friendly and kind. Chris was very nice to come guide me from the front because I was waiting to the next register, I truly admire their dedication to giving their customers a wonderful experience. As for the other cashier, I apologize I did not catch her name, she was just as wonderful, she was very nice as well to call Chris and ask him to ring me out, but I denied. They have much sympathy in that store, that is something lots of stores are lacking. I believe that every store needs employees like these two! They were fantastic! The store 5 stars for cleanliness. Lots of fabrics, yarns, string, crochet and knitting needles, paint, some fun things by the register, they even had $1 gloves at the register as of 1/24/2021 when I went in. They are an immaculate store as far as I am concerned. I found no issues when I went in. Very well kept! I would suggest them to anyone who is looking for craft items around the Waterville area. Only con I had noticed were prices were a bit higher than expected but only by a dollar or two. Thats not a store issue, thats a corporate issue. Thank you for a great experience at Joann Fabrics!

If youre looking for quilting cotton or fleece, there are a lot of choices. Relatively small selection of apparel fabric.

I ordered a sewing machine online and had it shipped to my home. Turned out, it didn’t work. So, I brought it into the store. I gave the machine to the cashier and she gave me a gift card and told me it had my full refund on it. I checked the balance over the phone using the number on the back of the card and there was no money on it. Also tried to use it in store — nothing on it. I called customer service and was told there was nothing they could do. So, basically I bought a broken sewing machine for full price, and then gave it back to the store for free.

The location felt appropriately staffed and safe (Covid19). There are tons of choices for various fabrics, organized in a logical way. The space is a bit smaller than other Joann Fabrics that I’ve been in, which made some aisles feel a little more cramped, but just be aware of other customers and you’ll be fine.Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

They basically have basic stuff and fabric. Unfortunately they dont have any candle or soap making stuff. It was dead when I visited.

Always a good deal at Joanns. Just discovered the clearance idle. If I didnt have these Bills, I would have definitely gotten everything lol

I do like the quick friendly service. I only did not like the over powering scent of the cinnamon pinecones near the entrance. They always put my allergies on overdrive and I am sure hinder other persons from actually shopping. I cant shop long this time of year in stores that have them.

Prices for items tend to be on the high side, but they have good quality options to choose from.

Love Joanns, I have a yarn addiction. And, guess who has yarn? I also have a 4H group that does crafts, so I write a list and get the supplies that we need. Definitely a frequent shopper here.

I am not a frequent shopper of this store, but when I went to the Waterville, Maine location to purchase my wife a sewing machine for her birthday I was amazed and taken back by the extraordinary customer service I received. The staff here are super helpful before, during and after the sale. You just cant get that from the dot com online competition. I would recommend this store any day of the week, twice on Sunday! I found some beautiful boxes after Christmas for a low price. However, after having not been in there for quite a while I was surprised at how expensive they had become and how much they had downsized their supplies. Sign of the times I guess. Sad.

Their customer service is sooo bad. I ordered fabric from them because it was out stock. It took three weeks and no body call me. I call them they said next week. When I went to the store. They didnt even Order it. They were so rude with me. They didn’t apologize. They treated me so bad. I waste my time waiting for the fabric and it was to expensive.

I needed help and waited until the manager finished talking with ??? his supervisor on the phone?He never acknowledged me standing there waiting, which I dont think that the person on the other end of the line would have minded, (customer used to come first). All he needed to say was,Ill be right with you. BUT, Instead, took his sweet time, would not make eye contact with me, finished the call and finally hung up. Store was empty, I might add. He then asked Need help? I wanted to say, No, I am just enjoying listening to your conversation, but I didnt. There also was no apology, like, Sorry for the wait. I asked him where I could locate an item, which I had already looked for and, walking away from me, pointed and said, Over there in the farthest corner, on the right, and walked to the front of the store, where the cashier was helping one customer......I now know why the store was empty when they were having one of their BIG sales. I then left my full cart, right where it stood and left the store empty handed.This store DEFINITELY needs some PUBLIC RELATIONS CLASSES beginning with him OR aNEW MANAGER! Remember, you asked for a review. From now on, I only shop Bangor.

Love this place! With the colors of all the fabric its like walking into a candy store not knowing which one youll purchase first~ the quilts are amazing and the staff is so helpful!

Little store with employees that would rather chat about other people than assist the only customer in the store and ignored me when I asked for help. If you need a quick fix it might be ok... but customer service was not the priority when I was there.

This store has everything you need! Its in a convenient location and Im so glad they have one in Waterville. Ive made several stops at JOANNs and theyve never disappointed. You should definitely stop by this place if you have any fabric needs whatsoever.

So much to look at. Could spend so much money and time there. Fun place with so many ideas for hobbies.

More color selections for size 11 knitting needles would be nice though :)

It was very small but had everything I needed and the employees are very nice.

Chronically understaffed. Poor selection and high prices. The ones who are there dont know where things are and even told me they didnt carry an item when they just didnt know where it was. I dont plan to go back.

I brought my wife here to get a replacement bulb for her sewing lamp. It was advertised online for $25. They also were advertising a January Super Sale with up to 60% off your purchase. The had let replacement bulb, but had marked it up to over $40 which effectively cancelled out the 40% discount.JoAnn Fabrics used to be a reputable store, but they have become just another bait and switch den of theives! 😣

This is a smaller Joanns so the selection is pretty small. There are some employees that are super helpful and knowledgeable, others ignore customers and like to chitchat with each other.

Clean and well lit. I know you are thinking...who cares about the lighting??? Well when you are looking at certain materials for texture, threading and exact color it really makes a difference

Joans has a good selection of products and fabrics, however their customer service is lacking. The registers are rarely attended and you have to look for someone to check you out. It feels very disorganized and understaffed.

Pretty nice, but they do not carry enough cloth.

Not impressed... walked in to manager telling 2 employees to work the fabric, then she disappears and when we needed help, the 2 ladies were busy on register and no manager to help; selection was not good from fabrics to notions and supplies; lots of empty spaces; tried to find help and wasnt able to get anyone... back to Bangor we headed and left our cart sitting at the fabric counter.

The most important thing is that at the Waterville, ME store, they just re-did the whole store and even moved the entrance and didnt make the new one wheelchair accessible for the handicapped. Whats up with that?I went shopping for fabric the other day to make a dress and the only thing they had was dark colors with big flowers. So old fashioned. They have none of the stuff I see on TV or on-line. Even their yarn is not up to date. You can get brighter and better colors online. Why cant the northern stores get light colors and very small flowers or birds on dress materials? Is that too much to ask?
