Spacious both indoors and out. The patio is beautiful. Bathroom was pretty clean. Saturday was very busy even with several baristas working so there was a wait. Very good selection of drinks and food. Always a fan of Anodyne Coffee!

Really enjoyed Mountain Top Coffee. I had the breakfast burrito. It was delicious! And it was a really big burrito. Probably could take half home for another meal. I also had the Honey Bee latter iced. This is my new favorite coffee. A few coffee shops have it on the menu. It is vanilla, honey and cinnamon in an iced latte. Yummy. I also really liked how accessible this place is. See pictures. Will definitely be back.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Can sometimes be hard to find a table during peak times but besides that it’s wonderful.

Ordered the drink of the day, and it was not bad. However, service was horrible and that alone made the experience bad. The short guy (light colored eyes) who took our order was so rude. My friend asked a simple question about the drink and instead of answering it with his opinion, he simply said its up to you how you like your drink. When people ask questions about a specific drink theyre clearly asking because they want to know how it would taste one way over the other. We then sent in the patio and when we came back in the place had already closed. He seemed very upset at the fact that we were still there, as if we would have known they closed. Maybe next time they should check the entire cafe before closing to make sure no one is left behind. He let us out through the front door and was so upset when he opened the door It almost slapped my friend in the face. I will never go back.

The butterbeer latte and Cuban sandwich were both delicious. Nice, clean space with a very cozy outdoor patio. Service was really friendly, too. Ill definitely be back!

Mountain top has unintentionally become my families go-to cafe in Waukesha. The drinks are all delicious and the coffee is consistently excellent.The food is underwhelming sometimes but a good find overall and worth the visit!

I recently coordinated a wedding where Mountain Top Coffee provided a latte bar during and after dinner. I cannot say enough about how amazing they were. They brought multiple flavors with them and even suggested serving iced coffee, which was a lifesaver because it was so dang hot! I cannot recommend them enough, every wedding should have lattes! I cant wait to work with them again.

Great seating atmosphere, staff, and they make awesome lattes. They also make the best pumpkin muffins with chocolate chips. These muffins are out of the world for your taste buds!

The employees here have always been wonderful and every drink I have ordered has been lovely. The bakery items are great and there are always vegan baked goods as well as menu items. The only reason I marked down one star is that some prices are weird. A classic salad (about 100g each of spring mix, tomato, cucumber, and a piece of toast) is $9.00. Their BLT salad is the same price and includes chicken and bacon. I would never have paid $9.00 for the tiny Classic salad with no protein had I known it would be so meager.

They have a large assortment of sandwiches and salads to choose from, I chose the turkey wrap. It was very good. Their hibiscus ice tea was also delicious.

Incredible baked goods!! The baker seriously knows that they’re doing. Cinnamon rolls are 10/10, vegan muffins are moist and delicious, and knowing that everything is made from scratch is reason enough to stop in. And they’re always doing new recipes that are great every single time. Well done! 👏🏼

Food was great, service not so much, no napkins when food was served and drinks were left at counter and dessert that was ordered was not brought to table and only silverware for one and tables not wiped off, but again food was great

Excellent espresso drinks, nice menu with a good variety of options. Sandwiches were bigger than expected for the price and had quality ingredients. Staff was friendly. Interior was spacious but still cozy feeling. Would gladly stop here again.

The only place in Waukesha that sells Anodyne which is my favorite local roaster!! My lattes are always made perfectly and the owner is friendly and its evident how hard working he is and how much he cares. Ive never tried their food. Plenty of seating.

Coffee is always a must when going here, its just that good!Ordered on door dash and they followed all instructions and were very quick, will only be ordering from here when I want coffee and/or breakfast.

I work in downtown Waukesha, and Mountain Top is definitely my favorite coffee shop in the area! I stop in here frequently and the staff is always extremely friendly and the food is extremely delicious. Definitely recommend the Cajun grilled cheese!

Our new favorite coffee place in the area! Their food is amazing (especially the cajun breakfast sandwich) and their coffee is all very unique with good flavor. A lot of times coffee places make special drinks that all taste the same but at Mountain Top, each drink has a unique flavor. They also have great bakery, and all very affordable!

This is probably the best local coffee shop I have found to date. The staff has a very positive upbeat effect on the atmosphere. Although they do not roast their own beans, they do use a quality brand of bean. (Anodyne) They have outdoor and Indoor seating, giving you the option of enjoying the outdoors if you so desire. The menu is pretty standard with your basic types of sizes and mixes. You wont find rare drink types here. All in all I would say its a great place as long as the people working there stay positive.

I came to Roots for years so I had to check Mountain Top coffee out as well. Its a definite improvement, taking all the good things Roots had to offer- good coffee, nice employees and comfortable environment- and blending it with nice changes such as an updated and tastier menu. Definitely a win!

Tasty vegan baked goods! Seriously hands down some of the best! You have to try the vegan coffee cake muffin and the vegan s’mores cake- both are ridiculously delicious!

I really do love Mountain Top, but Ive been awfully disappointed with their precautions taken during the pandemic. Their food, drinks, and service are excellent, however the clusters of maskless people is rather alarming, and workers have, on more than one occasion, fixed food with masks below their noses and even mouths. I know the importance of supporting local businesses so Ive ordered for pickup a few more times, but it is definitely unfortunate to see.

Came in for a Latte and a Mocha today and was thrilled with both! Milk was steamed to perfection on both drinks, the espresso had a full rich flavor, and neither were too sweet. Great treat! I will be coming back for sure whenever I am in town visiting family. Thanks for making my day with a great cup of happiness!

Not only is the staff very kind. They are amazingly talented. The art you see around the restaurant is their work of art. I love passionate people are the best people. Those kids are definitely going places. And omg the fooooodddd, IS SO GOOD. I recommend trying their new mango smoothie.

Loud coffee shop. Not much in the way of comfortable seating. Not a good place to sit and work. Cafe Au Lait was run of the mill. I saw a back area but it didnt look open to use. The staff was busy and not terribly friendly. I think there are better options nearby.

My husband and I grabbed breakfast and coffee here the other day and were happy to have done so. Both of us ordered the Cold Brew coffee along with the Cajun Breakfast Sandwich. Delicious. The atmosphere was modern, cozy, and welcoming with lovely service. Definitely recommend checking this place out, as we will be visiting again and again. I’m looking forward to trying some baked goods, all made in house. I saw a previous reviewers suggestion for more sustainable options, and I completely agree seeing those implemented would help put this coffee shop above the rest.

This little cafe is in the same space that Roots Coffeebar used to be -- indeed, one of the employees from Roots bought the place and made it his own! The space looks much the same as it did before, but theyre still developing. I appreciated how the bakery section looked the same as it did for Roots (because who can live without those Peanut Butter Energy Bites? 😉).The menu has been re-vamped and made better, in my opinion. The prices are fair and the food is absolutely scrumptious. I tried the Cajun Breakfast Sandwich on an everything bagel, and holy cats, was it amazing - the definition of homey comfort food. Paired with a latte, it was perfect for a rainy morning.I do hope that, as Mountain Top develops, there are more sustainable options implemented. First of all, it would be great to see a recycling bin (and the recycle-your-coffee-sleeve initiative from Roots would be nice, too). A composting program and an incentive for customers to use their own reusable to-go cups would both be admirable, too.

Very pleasant and calming atmosphere. The beverage I got was also well prepared and reasonably price. I loved the cool temporary starwars decor that was displayed!

Always less busy than the other coffee shop I know of down town. Lots of seating, great coffee and music. Love studying here.

Ive not eaten here, but I did have coffee a number of times. This is the best cafe in Waukesha to bring a laptop and get some work done. Its typically quiet in the back, and there is plenty of space. They serve Anodyne coffee, same as Roots did.
