Top notch place. Came around noon on a Saturday wait was only 10mins. Bloody Mary’s are the real deal try the spicy badger if you’re brave. Great atmosphere outside patio very nice old school vibe almost felt like being on street in Munich. Food was great.

Great spot in a great village. Wauwatosa is a lovely place to visit and Cafe Hollander is the perfect place to park it for a while and enjoy some food and drink. Visit the farmers market across the street too if you get a chance and its the right time of year. Nice comfy and friendly atmosphere (we ate inside because it was very hot and humid). The outside seating looked like it would be a great way to take a break. Bloody Mary is a must. Definitely a recommend!

Cafe Hollander is located in downtown Wauwatosa - which is bittersweet. The downtown area is historic and quaint but with that historic district creates parking issues, they are available but at a premium. Our Saturday night dinner parking fee was $15.00. The restaurant building itself appears to be a renovated factory or mill from the late 1800s early 1900s. There is a lot of outdoor seating none of which was available for our dining experience. Indoor was immediate seating for the four of us. The menu is unique, leaning towards the healthy delicious choices but still providing unhealthy indulgences like fried cheese curds. My beet burger was delicious, but I could tell the toppings and pretzel bun had been sitting out for awhile. The tomato was dried and wilted. The bun had lost its freshness. The sweet potato fries and the cheese curds were very good. My wife loved her Bacon Avocado Chicken Wrap. Portion size was plentiful. We brought 3 small boxes of food home. It was our servers first day and she did great. The rest of the service team needs to be managed better. When not serving, they ( about 6 people) sat in a corner booth and yukked it up. Not too professional and an intrusion on our dining experience. Total bill was $82.00 including tax and 3 sodas.

I love Belgian beers so this place is a freaking treat! The Theresa is most excellent. Our waitress was awesome too..super friendly and accommodating. I will be back for sure!

Our server Kelsey was amazing!! Food came out quick, she kept refilling or drinks, and even when we got done eating and paying, they were fine with us chatting away for an 1hr!My friend and I both had the chicken chopped salad, and this is by far one of the best salads I’ve ever had!!We sat outside, and it was just a very beautiful atmosphere in Tosa. Will definitely be back, and thank you again Kelsey!!!!

Brunch was delicious and the service was fantastic. We were here to celebrate our friends’ engagement and Kelsey went out of her way to make our friends’ special day extra memorable. The food was out quickly and prepared well.

The Milwaukeen Bloody Mary is delicious!! (If you like horseradish!) We had the Mushroom Flatbread and split the Smokey BBQ burger which are both yummy. Too bad I dont live in Milwaukee!

Excellent Brunch. I had the steak and mushroom hash and it was delicious! Large portion too. Outdoor seating is beautiful with large flower pots in full bloom. Cobblestone streets in this area, the outdoor cafes, bakerys and coffee shops remind me so much of Europe. A very charming area. Cafe Hollander has a perfect spot for dining and relaxing. A must go to place in Tosa!

Classic sunny patio with plenty of large umbrellas. Active street scene makes you feel like youre on a European holiday. Summer is short...grab it while you can! This is my Goat Cheese Bruschetta.

Amazing food that filled me up. Legit artisan pub food, I really liked it. Very good at social distance within the restaurant and had hand sanitizer and virtual menus. Would recommend for a lunch stop

This place was brilliant and well worth the wait! My mum and I started out with the artichoke dip and my mom was well accommodated with gluten free crackers for her dietary needs. For dinner I had the Sconnie burger and the burger had awesome cheese curds on it with sweet potato fries on the side. It doesnt even matter that Im lactose intolerant this was so worth it! I enjoyed the scenery too as there was a guitar instrumentalist performing next door. The restaurant is also very close to the river and sitting outside is definitely a must if you go here in the summer!

Cafe Hollander has my favorite meal (Grand Cafe Club with sweet potato frites). Though we no longer live in Wisconsin, this restaurant is at the top of my must eats whenever we return. One year they removed the Club from the menu and I was so happy that it was eventually brought back. Ill continue visiting from Michigan while you still serve it!! Ive recommended Cafe Hollander over and over to friends and family. The Tosa location is my favorite.

Very good fish fry, 3 small pieces but adequate. Fries were Great! Beer was Great! Rye bread was flavorless and very dry with no butter on it or on the side. Tarter sauce was Great as well! Look forward to going back sometime.

I took myself out for a nicer lunch today to celebrate my birthday and quitting my old job! My bartender, Joe, was amazing, the food absolutely hit the spot and the bier was perfectly freshing on this 90°F day

Its a wonderful place to sit outside, although there were a few issues...I asked for a medium-rare burger, but it came out medium-well.They didnt even cool my mimosa, so it was lukewarm and bitter.Finally, they put us directly next to a swarm of bees/wasps, which kept trying to get into our food and drinks, with one landing in my boyfriends drink!The fries, on the other hand, were excellent, and the staff was pleasant.

The atmosphere here is great! I really like their concept. I dont really understand their menu because not much of it is actually Dutch inspired. The portions are very large for the price. We asked for our burgers medium and they were well done. Salads are a decent size, but I wasnt full afterwards. The service was decent.

Had a great weeknight dinner here. Entering, the place has a social and happy vibe, with classic pub decor. After check-in we strolled around and enjoyed Wauwatosa; we got a text when our seats were ready. Our waiter Dylan was friendly and knowledgeable about their beer and food, he answered all our questions. The cheese curd appetizer was everything we wanted, as was the beer. The kitchen took a while with our entrees, but we were happily drinking and conversing; the flavors were on point, they were worth the wait. The dessert selection was limited but sounded good.

Amazing food and service. Absolutely everything we’ve tried is beyond expectations. Mussels with such a well-balanced sauce, perfectly spicy jambalaya, giant pecan pie, the best espresso I’ve drunk in the US and really good beer. Attentive staff. I highly recommend this place

Was denied entry to this establishment because I was picking up an order through a third party. While having to wait outside, another third party delivery driver comes and is granted Access into this establishment. Was it the the difference in third party services we worked for or simply judging a book by its cover??? Tone makes no difference, the world and Cafe Hollander needs to be color bling 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️

Awesome brunch. Food was good. All the eggs cooked perfectly. Nice job with distancing tables. Staff wore masks. Felt safe and enjoyable. We had a nice view of the river. Also they made our mocha iced for us which was so nice on a hot morning. Service was so friendly as well.I love anything that comes with breakfast potatoes!One small suggestion would be a bit more cheese in the omelet. The mushrooms and filling were great, but almost no cheese.Will be back soon :)

I went here for breakfast for my father’s birthday, I was told I had to wait at least 15 minutes because there were no clean tables. I was ok with the wait. I gave my name and number to be notified when ready and informed them I would be outside. They have a seating area outside where everyone can clearly see me and my father waiting. We waited for almost an hour while we seen people coming in and out. I went inside to see what was taking so long and the people at the front said the they had my reservation called over 20 minutes ago. No call to my phone, and nobody came outside to notify us. I felt very disrespected and left, my recommendation is if you have anything besides white in you don’t go here they will treat you like you’re not welcome

Usually a great experience, we ordered take out and the food was 10 minutes after the expected time. Meatloaf for our son was steaming hot but our two burgers and fries were cold and had clearly been waiting for the meatloaf. Dine in experience has always been amazing, the patio over the river is awesome.

Waited for a table for two about 45 minutes. (Which was fine. It was busy and a nice evening outside). We sat at our table for another 20 -25 minutes and never had a server. Even asked one of hosts to find our server. Saw our server helping the table next to us and behind us. Never acknowledged us.

Usually pretty busy but has really good food for and prices! We came with 12 people and they did very well managing us with how busy it was. Im taking one star because I visibly saw one of the employees roll his eyes at me after telling them we had 12 people.

Melissa at the bar is the BEST. She is so welcoming and real and refreshing just like the mule she made me. She also gave us space but was attentive when needed. Best Hollander experience in a hot minute.

My husband and I just recently moved to Wisconsin from Rhode Island and we were looking for a place for a good hearty bloody mary. Cafe Hollander popped up and we decided to give it a go. We ordered the spicy badger to start and let me tell you it was beyond delicious. We then ordered off the brunch menu and you guys did not disappoint!! Your large portions exceeded the price!!! I have never seen a wait/bar staff that tried harder to make a great experience for their customers. Joe and Andy were working their butts off to keep everyone happy despite the the restaurant being slammed for brunch. Coming back for sure!!!

We come here at least twice a year. My mom comes here for brunch on her bday or Mothers day as they are close together... this year was Mothers day.Hollander was offering free mimosas and beer to moms .. which I thought was great. Service was impeccable from start to finish.They are covid conscious and have protocols in place, which I appreciate. We had an 1100a reso and came slightly early. We were promptly seated and the service was great.Mom and I got the Benedict and my dad got the quiche. We all loved our food. The parents got bloodies and really enjoyed the same. I got the berry mimosa and thought it was great.This place is a staple. Ive been to the various locations through out my life and theres anything/everything you may want or need. Years ago we purchased an abundance of curry ketchup....so they are extremely accommodating!

We sat at the bar during Sunday Brunch service and had an amazing time thanks to Andy! Outstanding hospitality and conversation. The burger and bloody marys were divine. We will absolutely be back!

Had to try a new breakfast place and was not completely disappointed. I was looking for something simple with a little meat. I dont eat pork so I settled on the Steak Hash. Flavors were great, service was good. If I had to complain I would say the steak was not well distributed in the two dishes presented. One plate had only 3 pieces of steak in the Steak Hash. The other a lot more. A few pieces were under cooked or over cooked due to the range in sizes cut. The execution was a bit sloppy. None of that stopped me or my girlfriend from polishing off the symphony of well put together flavors and ingredients. We will be returning to try some other dishes for sure. Having breakfast by the river, on a warm, low wind day is a must.

First time at this location since we had moved into the Tosa area over a year ago. Great experience and delicious food! Our waiter Dylan was very nice and had good attention to detail with our orders. We had a party of 6 and ordered a ton of food. He was very friendly and made our experience memorable with our family and friends!

A chef’s heart is made out of rice. It’s starchy and savory, but it melts very easily so handle it with care.This is my heart of jumbalaya. Andouille sausage, shrimp chunky, chicken yummy, and a perfect Cajun sauce. Be careful not to drop it.Oh also Jessie was a great server.

Served cold fries and the waiter immediately brought out hot fresh ones. The mac n cheese was also lukewarm but I was so hungry and the flavor was good so I didnt complain. None of this was the waiters fault so I tipped him $10 on a $27 tab.

This was a great experience coming here to this Café for my first time. Nice scenery, they had seats outside where you could eat,too ! Love the inside of this Café, looked like a Saloon from back in the day,beautiful.Love their food, it was very tasty and healthy. For our app we had some good cheese curds, also the spinach dip platter, delicious. I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap with the sweet potato fries, love the plate which my grandma was eating. The meatloaf with a great mashed, and some brocolinni. My cousin and his mom had the Panko chicken quinoa bowl. They also have good burgers.I recommend this place if you want to be in the Tosa area, will be coming here soon. Thank you. I forgot to mention our server was very excellent 👌.

The atmosphere here was pretty cool. You get a nice little view of the bridge outside along with a small pond that runs underneath. We were able to get seated right away and got a nice window seat overlooking the nature. The food variety was great, it had something for everyone from sandwiches to wraps to pancakes. They also had some delicious cheese curds as appetizers. The restaurant location is nice, the only challenge is finding parking on busy days. If they are busy you dont get super great service either.

We go here often because it’s in the neighborhood, food is fairly consistent and drinks are good. However today we left so dissatisfied. Our server, Gary, was less than attentive or friendly. When he came to our table, he went straight into asking us what we wanted. Fine, no big deal, we order our food and carry on. When the food was ready he dropped it off and never came back. Didnt check on us once, or ask us if we wanted a drink refill. We had to flag him down and ask him for our check. He finally brought it after 20 minutes of us waiting, dropped it off and walked away without a word. He was so rude and seemed distracted or annoyed with our two kids. Overall, my worst experience I’ve ever had here.

We stopped in for breakfast (brunch menu) on a weekday. Really cool building and location in Tosa, I like the Belgian (or Dutch) cafe vibe and the beer list looked good. The Hot Mess and Steak Wild Mushroom Hash were excellent breakfast entrees. Coffee was fine. Where we were let down was on the lack of pannekokken and then when we ordered a Belgian Waffle (which we assumed would be a liege waffle with the pearl sugar, yeast dough, etc.), What we actually got was just a thick regular waffle. Much disappoint when you were expecting a liege waffle. Once you Gaufre you never go back.

I ordered first thing in the morning 8am, didn’t get my order until a little over 10am.... when it arrived the French toast I ordered for the family was dry, just tastes like thick dry bread with cinnamon crumbling on top which I had to put on btw.Cafe Benelux has better cinnamon French toast! I’ll stick to that.
