This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced.I purchased a new Craftsman Lawn Mower 02/2021 from Lowes during winter time. Started to use it during 05/2021 until 07/2021 when the engine made a loud bang and stopped working. Took it into an authorized service repair center, paid $35.00 to have it inspected and took about 3 weeks for this process. The repair center said broken connecting rod due to lack of lubrication I check the oil and gas every time before using the lawn mower, it is on the full mark. How does an engine just break like this? The mower was used maybe 5 times since new. Even when the mower was dropped off, it was full of oil.So I called Craftsman which transferred me to Briggs & Stratton for warranty service, they denied my claim due to lack of lubrication and maintenance on the mower They were zero help. Basically I am stuck with a broken lawn mower, wasted time/money, not able to peacefully cut my lawn.Going to Purchase a Honda Lawn Mower!
I am referring to the 163cc mower engine / not this particular location. After being a Milwaukee resident for 30+ years, Briggs and Stratton engines have always been my preference. That’s now history. I bought a second 163 cc mower when the 22” Toro Recycler engine stopped running. Two hours into the new mower - it will not stay running. I am DEFINATELY returning this garbage and buying a mower with a Honda engine. So sad that “American” products have become inferior !!! B&S has become a B.S. product - unfortunately, one to avoid !!!! AND - the customer service numbers found in the engine manuals lead to nowhere - a completely useless automated waste of time and source if further frustration. I feel bad for a company I once highly regarded - engine dependability no longer exists.
Not a good place to work, alot of lazy people and lazy bosses, and they do not I repeat DO NOT care about your health, you can have doctors excuses and notes to cover for you and they will just fire you plan and simple, just happened to me so yeah, dont work hear if you have kids or have anything medical or physical wrong with you.
I bought a Snapper riding lawn mower. I was told Snapper was high quality so I bought it because I wanted to spend a little more and get the best quality. The Snapper is giving me issues after 4 months of use! I don’t know, I’m not a mechanic and I don’t have time to troubleshoot, it’s probably the starter.Their warranty situation is worse, each of their dealers have their own policy, some might work on your mower, some might not. I don’t know if my review is posting on Walmart’s website so I’m posting it here.I want my money back. I’m not happy, it’s a nightmare when you barely save enough to get something supposedly supposed to be good. I wish I got a different mower.
They work you like a slave for low wages in comparison to the work provided by employees. Its a lot more thats really bad about the place but, I dont have enough space nor enough time.
WORKER BEWARE. Wow, what a horrible place to work, dont work here unless you want to be beat for 120 hours every 2 weeks, yes thats a week of overtime every 2, and then when youre a minute late a few times when theyre making you work 1+hour over your union contract per day (10 hours/day when the union contract states 45 regular week hours max,) theyll still count it against you as 1/3 of an absence. You heard right, being a minute late on OVERTIME BEYOND CONTRACT is treated as 1/3 of just not showing up all together. Pay is okay, healthcare, dental and vision are middle of the road, 401k match is sad. You wont receive vacation you can use for any day youd like until youve worked there 6 years, before that your vacation is auto-used for summer shutdown which isnt vacation at all. Dont work here unless you have no life other than work or youll loose your job unless you live next door. They also dont care if theres feet of snow on the ground, if the plant is open youre expected to be there. Also, the plant is a million plus square feet, and your breaks are 8 minutes and 28 minutes, not counting the 3-5 minute walk to get to any real cafeteria. Id advise anyone looking for stable, professional, respectful employment to seek it elsewhere, you sure wont find it here. Masochists, inquire within. Also worth noting, the floors here are made of creosote coated wood, which is not well sealed. Dust from these floors is HIGHLY toxic.
I love working on old Briggs engines. BRIGGS CORP— IF YOU HAVE ANY OLD ENGINES LEFT IN A SHED SOMEWHERE I WILL TAKE THEM OFF YOUR HANDS. contact me.
Their engines seem to be good, but all of their supporting parts and components are junk, as is their customer support for their products. My lawn mowers Briggs and Stratton gas tank cracked for no reason. The Briggs and Stratton water pump on my gas powerwasher leaked after 5 uses in two years. My Fathers Briggs and Stratton rotating surface cleaner broke after the 2nd use. We contacted Briggs and Stratton and they provided absolutely no support.I will be avoiding buying anything that has Briggs and Stratton components moving forward. I try to buy American products, but this American company is terrible.
Its a great place to work.
Very nice facility!
