Prompt service, delicious shakes/malts. Very clean. Nice staff. Cool receipts. They put what you are wearing on them to identify you when you are seated at your table. Food presentation was good. Nice size portions. Forgot my pickle and cherry, egg salad could have been more flavorful. All in all, we would go again!
My wife and I were in town to visit Meat Church and decided to stop here for lunch. I was fantastic! I had the farm club and she had the California club< then we shared a banana split. Everything was amazing and fresh. I cant wait to come back
When by for a sweet treat with my sweet. We got these really fantastic ice cream sandwiches on these fantastic Cookies with 3 large Scoops of ice cream. I got the mint chocolate chip and my awesome better half got chocolate both with chocolate chip cookies. Best ever. Want to try more. Will be back.Visit 2- just as good as last time. The Chicken Salad Sandwich was awesome. The Hot fudge brownie Sunday was perfect.Visit 3- still knock your socks off Chicken Salad Sandwich. Had the banana pudding as well it was good. Nice afternoon relaxing outside in the square.
A friend of mine told me about this place. Im surprised I havent heard of it before. Its a really cute and unique place downtown on Jefferson across from the court house. We went yesterday together for a mom and kids lunch date. I ordered a PB&J for my daughter and a chicken salad sandwich for my son which both came with ruffles chips. I ordered a farmhouse salad and added chicken. We got lemonade and tea which came in cute Mason jars. The food was really good and you get free drink refills on fountain and tea. For desert I got us all a banana split to share. It was enough for all 6 of us! It was delicious! I highly recommend trying this place!
Ive wanted to eat here for a while because it has such a nostalgic name and want to support local businesses. Sadly I was quite disappointed. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. It was incredibly flimsy, maybe 2 tablespoon of chicken in the sandwich with lettuce. My son ordered the egg salad sandwich and it was exactly the same. For a $22 lunch ticket, it was a true disappointment. Well I tried it...but probably will not go back again. βΉοΈ
Everything here is good and the service is amazing!! My favorites are the broccoli cheese soup, the caesar wrap and the pasta salad. Wonderful food and really cool atmosphere inside the restaurant. They offer to go, bring out to your car, and eat in. I eat here everyday I work in the downtown area. Oh and you have to try Aunt Sandys chicken salad. Yummy!!

Nice,clean establishment. Sandwiches all are very good the Califorina Club my favorite. Cup of soup or bowl of soup all are very good Tomato Basil again my favorite with the shredded cheese and croutons ooo,la,la...sooo...good...they even can create a super soda of your choice...again excellent. They have a selection of cookies that are yummy...its a great place for a healthy, nutritious lunch, take home, or an excellent quality dinner out or for that time of the week when you want to get something good but a night off would be great too...makes Farm Luck a Solid Choice...I Love It...You will too...
This is my 2nd visit. Sandwiches are ok but not great. My BLT was dry, not enough mayo, lettuce or tomato but the bacon was crispy and plentiful. Strawberry soda is delicious. The jalapeno pimento cheese was pretty boring and the same could be said for the broccoli and cheese soup. This is upgraded fast food but its not very fast

Excellent sandwich and salad menu. They also have wraps if you want those. Visited there over the past two years many times and it never had a bad experience. The owner is almost always there and generally will come and greet you if its not super busy.

The customer service was not very good, the ice cream sandwich cookies. Where pretty hard. They should have been at least warmed and soft. The soda had no flavor. Why to much money for what you got.

The root beer cream soda (picture) was not what I originally ordered. I ended up not like what I ordered a whole bunch, I took a gamble with something different. Owner (I think) overheard me say I wasnβt the biggest fan and made a replacement (that I loved) himself. This place is awesome. Food, soda, ice cream and service all highly recommended.
The egg salad sandwich was really good. I a small place but its worth it going in and ordering food there, shakes, floats, sundaes or old fashion sodas.

Good food, rude service. Man in mid-30s working took photo of us (minors) on his phone without our consent. Left us feeling so uncomfortable we had to go eat in our cars. Sad because we enjoyed this place and thought it was cute. Will not be returning.

Located in super cozy and historic downtown Waxahachie is where youβll find this great eatery. I enjoyed my lunch here. This place is simple and homey. The soups were delicious and definitely tasted of homemade, my broccoli cheese soup was thick and piping hot just like itβs supposed to be. The sandwich was built perfectly and while a club is a Club this was a good one! Busy at lunch but great atmosphere nonetheless. Did not order one but their desserts looked AMAZING. Next time I am in town I will be ordering one of their delicious looking shakes. They also have a really cool old fashioned candy shop in the back. This place has the charm other chain spots in town lack. Defining coming back!

My husband and I love this restaurant, they have great food and a great atmosphere! The ice cream and homemade sodas are a nice touch and the decor is cute and homey! Overall definitely somewhere we will frequent often and refer to others π

Tasty ice cream!!! Cute place and friendly people. Iβve been many times and itβs mostly a really great experience. Occasionally I get an βehβ food day, but not enough to not return. Usually itβs spot of for a good sandwich and taco soup. Coffee is French press which is pretty good too!

A fair soda fountain but definitely not the place to eat. Large banana splits and a great mini sundae. The sandwiches totally lack flavor. The egg salad tastes like mashed egg with a little water to moisten it. Cheap chips and lettuce with brown spots. Thick bread so it will fill you up if you eat it. The children do enjoy the windows and being on the curb downtown. Stick with the ice cream.
Super cute little sandwhich shop and ice cream parlor in one. Cozy atmosphere set in the middle of downtown. Went with a group of 20 and they were polite and organized, serving us quickly and with kindness. Drinks served in mason jars (the lemonade was fantastic) and their cups of soup are served in cute cups. Food was delicious and their fruit was fresh. I would be here once a week if I lived here, but sadly I only visited briefly.

On a recent excursion to Waxahachie, TX we popped into an endearing little soda fountain called Farm Luck. We had already lunched at another eatery (see my Doveβs Nest review), and my wife was still hungry. We gave up trying to find a place that would sell us a piece of fruit, and we thought this might be a place to find something that she could eat without going over her points. We were right. It is a soda fountain with all of the sundaes and such, but they have a delightful selection of very affordable sandwiches, wraps, salads, and sides to make your healthy choice. As I said, she really just wanted a piece of fruit β like an apple β but what we found was a tasty but filling veggie cup, and a refreshingly scrumptious fruit cup. Both of these items are served in a faux vintage tin cup. I chose something with a bit more calories β the banana pudding which was served in a short wide-mouth Ball Mason jar. The pudding β layer with vanilla wafers was topped with a smooth but not heavy fresh whipped cream. Food arrived within five minutes, so we were happy. It was perfect top-off before re-boarding the bus back to Sun City.The front door is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair, although the table and chairs seem very closely positioned β which could make maneuvering a wheelchair around a bit awkward. The restrooms are ADA compliant.
The restaurant itself is super cute! Most of the food I have had is great, but the tomato soup tastes more like a pizza sauce and every time Ive placed a special order it has come out wrong. I will still go back and would recommend to friends for the atmosphere and food options, but would like to see improvements.

Located in the heart of beautiful downtown Waxahachie, Texas. This converted bank turned old fashion soda jerk gives the feeling of going back to a simpler time. The seating and decor leaves brings back a time where Waxahachie was the rail city in its splendor. The menu is simple with only a couple of food items such as, sandwiches, soup and salad, to make way for what brings you back as a kid, the ice cream.They have a huge banana split that puts the dallas fair to shame and need a crowd of hungry kids or three football players to scarf it down. The ice cream they use is blue bell so you know this small town cafe loves its texas roots through and through.behind the soda fountain there is a candy store with an assortment of candies you rarely see now a days.this is a great place to sit and have lunch after church, or convince the kids to come antique shopping with little resistance.Come check out this great piece of history restored to a yummy future.

First off I should say that Im not from this area Im from Galveston and was passing through, got hungry, googled food near me and was intrigued by the title of the establishment. Given that the name is farm luck for some reason I was expecting farm fresh or at least somewhat fresh offerings, but when I arrived I realized I was highly disappointed to see that the only food offerings were basic soup sandwich salads, but still hopeful I went ahead and ordered a half sandwich and soup combo for $6.99 and a brownie sundae for dessert. My total came to $13 and some change with a tic it was 15 something... I ordered the jalapeno pimento cheese sandwich on wheat and a cup of tomato basil soup.... I went to the candy shop to look around while my food was being made...it is Definitely not my idea of a candy shop it only has mass produced candy that you can purchase much cheaper at any grocery store... I ended up eating my Sundae first bc I was traveling and it would melt and it was honestly delicious... However, the sandwich was literally pimento cheese with pickled jalapeno slices on regular wheat sandwich bread like what I use at home and my tomato soup tasted like they heated up marinara or pasta sauce and it was honestly the worst tomato soup Ive ever had. Even Campbells is better imo...so for $15 I got good friendly service, half of a sandwich I couldve made at home easily for $2 maybe, a cup of soup I threw away, a handful of ruffles chips I didnt eat either and a really good Sundae... The only thing about this place that justified the name is the country decor... I honestly regret trying it and wish I had kept my money and not driven all the way off 287 to try it, but the service was very friendly and it was exceptionally clean
Wonderful place! The owner is always there and on top of things. All the meals are made with fresh ingredients. We try to go once every two weeks. We always have a great experience. Very kid friendly!

Right across from the beautiful courthouse on the square sits this gem with ice cream and phosphates, sandwiches, soup and wraps. The California club was delicious. Loved the soda shop feel in a historic building with counter seating available and even a candy shop!

Keep driving unless youre a local, or can read minds! We had a large group, and someone suggested getting a soda from this place in between a photo shoot and lunch reservations nearby. That. Was. A. Mistake! After waiting 8 minutes at the bar with my husband, we were told we had to wait in line to place to get a letter, then could place our order. I found that strange because my children were sitting with my in-laws, and they all had their drink orders taken by a waitress. My husband was mortified, and left immediately. I got my kids, and we left, as well. Horrible. Ridiculous. Inexcusable. They have 2 entrances, maybe they should fix that. Hire more staff, possibly. Or maybe plaster your bizarre ordering rituals where they can be seen by customers who wish to purchase items. This is NOT a place to visit if you are not a local! NOT tourist friendly. Head over to The Doves Nest - not soda hip, but they do know what hospitality is! Do yourself a favor, and skip this crazy place!

Recently moved to Waxahachie. Walked in and noticed the cute farm house decor but the novelty wore off quickly. Lunch, Sunday, 2:15pm. 5 or 6 teen girls working the sandwiches and soda/ice cream bar. No personality, never spoke or even smiled. Not a one. We found a table and sat. No one ever came over to ask how we were doing or if we would like tea refills. My husband had to take our glasses over and ask. The egg salad sandwich was runny and the broccoli soup burned. 2 ladies walked in seeking a window table and while many were available none were clean and it took 5 mins for someone to go wipe one down, even after asking! Bizarre...its a really small place. Unfortunately upon sharing our observations with the man appearing to be the manager and suggesting one of the 5 employees in the tiny sandwich shop take a broom for a quick sweep under the tables ( straw sleeves, lettuce everywhere) instead of apologizing he told us theyd just finished with a lunch rush. Its now 3pm. Cute place but no customer service, or smiles. The girls were like zombies. Customer service is everything.
Amazing environment and even better food! I get the farm club every time and its always fresh! Nobody ever believes me when I say that the fountain drinks are good, but they really have not had a fountain drink until theyve had one of these! .....fantastic ice cream! π

We have tried sandwiches, salads, soups, and ice cream. We always enjoy our meals, as well as trips to the candy shop in back. Downtown Waxahachie has plenty of places to visit within walking distance, and the sidewalk seating provides a nice place to sit and visit.

Fun little lunch counter style restaurant. We had fresh sandwiches, soup, chips and sodas. Service was very quick. Atmosphere was comfortable and cheery.
