Per recommendation from a local, we decided to eat here. The nastalgia was pretty cool, but the place was a mess. We waited a long time for our food, and the entire 80 minutes we were there, these vacant tables in the restaurant were never cleaned. It made a nastalgic place pretty nasty. The food wasnt very good either. It lacked a lot of flavor. Stop here for nastalgia reasons, but definitely NOT the food.
My wife went to travelok.com got a cool package To travel around Oklahoma. There was a cool passport for Route 66. This is one of the stops you can go and get a stamp. Is very cool story on the page where you get your stamp( I posted a picture of page). The staff was friendly, store was clean, and food was good. When we head back to the museum down the street we will stop by again!
3 reviews..8/19 Not really busy... was kinda confused. When you walk in you choose steakhouse side or diner side... went to diner side. Everything was retro.. large menu... everything looked good... ordered burger and steak finger basket. Tea and pepsi..$31... service was fast... got food quickly but was never checked on after...8/20... went back for another try...sit on steakhouse side.. mushroom onion swiss burger/onion rings and chicken fried steak...with sweet potato and Mac n cheese.. such a disappointing return.. hamburger patty was maybe a thick as 2 nickels stcked together... no seasoning very unfavorable... thenworst part was the Mac and cheese... it is Kraft Mac n cheese... if it isnt u cant tell... what a bad trip...8/21... figured best 2 out of 3... went for breakfast thinking its breakfast...cant mess it up and should be quick... NOT quick... 1/2 full resturant... 45 min to get 1 pancake 2 eggs 2 bacon 2 biscuits and breakfast quesadilla....Started at 4 stars not at 2.. 33% chance of having good food.. so we saw 4 different managers at 11am... so apparently the issue isnt lack of management it too much... wait staff is disorganized and running around.. management is the issue
“Lucille’s Roadhouse” has lot going for it. It’s OPEN is the big plus. Also, is located on Route 66, it’s clean, it’s new, the menu selections are enormous, the have a gift shop, they have plenty of parking and staff does know how to smile. On the other side, the menu is too vast and nothing is a clear reason to say “I gotta recommend this!”. My salmon was nothing like the menu picture - smaller, less rice and not as pretty. It was a bit dry too - just saying for constructive vs just complaining. The BIG business feel is better than BIG franchise/corporate feel, but what is lost is the “local” feel you get when you find “where the locals hang” feel. I met two native locals and they shared such a local place.I am glad I stopped here and supported a local business.SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESS!“Run-A-Way Bill” was here!01.24.21
We found ourselves on an impromptu lunch outing and ended up at Lucille’s. It looked like a fun place on historic Route 66 and we were glad we stopped. We tried the appetizer sampler with the chips and queso, the fried pickles, and fried mushrooms. All 3 items were great. Fried pickles were great and Mrs. Flip Out especially liked the fried mushrooms. Chips and queso were good as Little Flip Out could attest. I had the bbq sausage plate and I wanted to try a different variety so I went with chili and rice. I enjoyed the chili and the rice was good. The sausage went well with the bbq sauce they brought out with the meal. Mrs. Flip Out had the mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings; she really enjoyed it and the burger fixin’s that came with it were very good, too. The location has a small gift shop when you first enter. The Roadhouse is split into two areas for eating. One area is a nostalgic 1950s diner, and the other is called the Steakhouse and it has a more formal atmosphere. Both sides use the same menu.
Breakfast was pretty good idk about these other reviews are saying but I sat down got my breakfast enjoyed my coffee and had a good quiet morning. Will be coming back again if I’m in the area
Server was very good, food wasnt. Chicken fried steak was burnt, sauteed mushrooms were ice cold and werent sauteed in anything.I wont go back.
My favorite stop on I-40. It is an old fashioned diner with great food and service. The breakfast is fantastic: all you can eat for $8.50.If you drive a Tesla, this is a must stop. A Tesla supercharger is behind the restaurant. You can be fully charged while enjoying a great meal.Highly recommended.
Travelling across the country and stopped for dinner here. The experience was fantastic! The history, ambience, and feel of the place is a great throwback to years past. The have a steakhouse and a diner to choose from, joined by a quaint and cool gift shop. The diner is retro-again, very cool. The bar selections were very good and the food was amazing! Generous portions, well prepared and absolutely delicious! Finding a piece of Americana like this is always a good thing, and to be pleasantly impressed by what they have to offer is just icing on the cake. An interesting side note-right behind Lucilles is a group of Tesla electric car charging stations! Talk about mixing nostalgia with modern day...
Good food and service! Good picture opportunity and large map of route 66.
Stopped in with my family for breakfast. Server was very nice, the food was delicious and large portions. The beef tips breakfast was really good, and my sons chicken fried steak was good as well. All the portions were more than we could finish and the coffee was hot, smooth and never ran out. Definitely reccomend!
Interesting little diner with varied menu. We drove an hour out of our way to eat here on the recommendation of the OKC Visitors Center. Ordered the Cowboy Up Burger with fries and settled back to soak in the ambiance. Granted, it was early afternoon on Sunday and they were “busy”, but it took over fifty minutes for my burger to arrive. It was obvious that someone had messed up as the server apologized profusely for the long wait time, but by then I only wanted to fill my stomach. Alas, the sad-looking burger was cold (room temp at best), the grease coagulated on the meat… same with the fries. I waited another 5 minutes for the server to waddle by before I could tell her that my food wasn’t right, to which she apologized again, but apparently that was the extent of her problem resolution skills. No offer to replace it, or even warm it up. So I told her that it was unacceptable and that I wouldn’t be eating it. She asked if I wanted the check then, which I confirmed. An additional twelve minutes went by as I sat there waiting, ravenous by this time, regretting ever going there. I expected to have to pay for the soda that I’d sipped while waiting for my food, but when she finally did bring the check there was no adjustment for the inedible food that I’d been served. Disgusted, I went to the cashier and explained my predicament. The cashier said sweetly, “ I’m sorry, we do get busy on Sundays…”. Incredulous, I said, “So you’re actually going to charge me for a cold burger and fries?” Her response was, “I’m sorry, sir, that”l be $16.94.” It was rather embarrassing (and disappointing) to have to actually complain about the terrible food, service, and utter lack of any attempt to make it right. I was so flabbergasted i didn’t even have the presence of mind to ask for the manager. I blame myself for not making an even bigger issue of the situation, but the people waiting in the lobby near the cashier were already all staring open-mouthed at the scene that was unfolding in front of them. So I paid and left, at that point anxious only to get out of that bizarre experience. So, if you’re anxious to spend an hour for an overpriced cold burger and fries, then this is the place for you.
The workers were very prompt they can by every 15 or 20 min to make sure everything was still going good.Lucille hands down has the best fried pickles in town.
Chicken fried steak was perfect great dinner enjoyed it a lot everything was very clean
I’ve eaten here before while traveling but this was the first time I’ve got to try the breakfast. It was so good! Great prices, yummy food and our waitress Shelley was very attentive. I got the French toast with hash browns & bacon. Loved the souvenir drink cups. It’s located right off Route 66/I-40 so easy on and off for the interstate. Cute gift shop inside and of course decorated 50’s style diner inside. Nice place to stop & eat 👍🏻
It was good food, our waitress was awesome, had a great experience, we will be back!!
We decided to stop here for a late lunch while traveling. The staff was friendly and the food was good. I didnt expect much from the chips when they came out, but I was surprised! They were warm and crisp, just the way I like them. Hubbys quesadilla was good too! If youre driving through, I say its a good place to stop.
The food was great. We had a party of 15 and our waitress was awesome. I would recommend this restaurant.
I love their half rack of ribs! Capital Y on the yum!
We came here excited about the aspect of eating in a restaurant designed like an old Route 66 gas station. We ordered sirloin and the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The broccoli wasn’t cooked all the way, but the mashed potatoes were great. I should’ve read the reviews before getting the chicken fried chicken, as I agree with them that it was terrible and poorly seasoned.
I wouldn’t even give this place a 1 star, but have to in order to comment.9/16/21-went in for lunch at 1pm, took 5 minutes to get noticed at a dirty table. She came with our drinks took our order at 1:20pm. I order BLT with sweet potato. And my husband order a steak with loaded baked potatoe. At 1:45 I asked what happened with our order? Because everyone that came in after us was being served, ate and left. While we are still waiting. At 2:05pm I got sick of their service, and we left. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!! Thumbs down for this place.
Great atmosphere and clean. Staff was minimal but pleasant and helpful. Food is excellent and well presented. The decor is aimed at those seeking the Route 66 experience and it delivers. Lots of retro gas pumps and memorabilia. It was fun.
Very enjoyable atmosphere and very good food. Service was wonderful and pricing with myself wife and 6 children, eating under $100 was delightful.
Sides were from a can. Dinner roll was from a package. And rib sauce from a bottle. No doubt. Did not enjoy spending money on this.
Mediocre food for not a lot of money. Definitely not a bad deal, although food took a little longer to come out than I feel like eggs and French toast should. Sydney was also very kind and helpful as our server!
The food is good and the staff friendly. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. Youll get a good meal here.
Had the classic 66 burger and sweet potato. Bun was a bit stale and burger was dry. Potato was good. They didnt have onion rings. No menu only QR Code to scan. Totally touchless mens bathroom. Even the door from the inside was touchless. You dont see that very much in the big city.
Awesome service, delicious ribeye so tender you could cut with butter knife!Salad was great as well as loaded baked potato!!!
Service very very slow. Food was good. Definitely a tourist trap.
Beautiful place. Excellent staff . Great food. Great prices. History on Route 66. Who could ask for more. The next time I go from California to Alabama or Arkansas to visit family I will definitely stop in again
Loved it! Friendly people, great food, quaint atmosphere. So much better than fast food!!!
Good food and excellent service. The 907/Brooklyn server was amazing and attentive. Welcomed us with a smile.
We have taken our football team here twice on different road trips. Have had good food and service for having a big group.
We were excited to visit Lucilles after reading so much about it. Was greeted and told to sit anywhere. No clean tables were available. After choosing one two people came to clean the table and actively ignored us. After 15 minutes of waiting no one had given us a menu or acknowledged us. We ended up leaving. So no review about the food, but my initial impression is that Lucilles may be riding on their reputation, and not their service.
Love coming here to eat when we visit our college guy. Food is never bad. Service is great. Lovely place. Nice to see the local men and couples that go in, sitting visiting with each other.. Brings back a nice time feeling. Thanks for being great there!
A great waitress and the food was good. Not too busy and the kitchen was on their toes. Had been there before when it was very busy and the experience and food was mediocre. This time; Great Job!
Some of the rudest staff I have ever encountered. After a long wait which was fine, we were seated. After 25 minutes passed no one came to even take our drink order. The hostess was especially rude to me and my husband. When I asked for a real menu instead of a QR code for our phones, the hostess was so rude to our family. I tried to explain that my mother in law has a hard time seeing things on her phone. The hostess rolled her eyes at us. Ive never left a negative review online for anything, but I want others to be warned. We went there based on the positive reviews. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!
Great food and service, if youre on a Rt. 66/I-40 road trip, or if your just in the area, I highly recommend this place.
We drove from Moore Oklahoma just to come eat here for the first time, and we were very impressed! It was so good. Were coming back with my mom and grandchildren in 2 weeks ❤
This place is wonderful family atmosphere, lots of attractions to keep the little ones occupied, my wife and I were on a trip across the country, stopped in for a meal. The waitress was very kind and my beef tips over rice with fried okra was really really really good. 5 stars for this place..... Love the homemade rolls.
Excellent location for getting gas. The food was delicious and the wait staff was very friendly - shout-out to Brooklyn! You rock!!
I/We are extremely disappointed. Either wait staff couldnt get the orders written properly or the kitchen staff cant read. Country Fried Steak came out as Chicken. Patty Melt came out as a meat like slab on toast that was made 3 days earlier and could have been used as a throwing star. One order (their signature burger) didnt come out at all, nothing was ultimate about their BLT, and one order got to the table as edible. The restaurant has a Route 66 room that was closed, and we were seated at a table that was filthy. Not just not cleaned, but sticky enough that we wouldnt put our hands on it, oh yeah, did I mention we were a party of 6? Our dirty table couldnt accommodate 6 persons, it sat 5 uncomfortably even though we kind of like each other.Would never recommend this diner, go to the next exit and treat yourself to drive-thru meals.
Super clean and friendly. The food was great and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the break quesadilla with sausage.
On our second day of traveling to Williams, Arizona... I was driving with my Sweetie, Ginger and her sister, Cyndi looking for a place to have lunch along I-40 when the Weatherford exit came up in Oklahoma. We went to Lucilles Roadhouse being a landmark of the legendary Route 66! We all ordered the special of their Route 66 Burger with fries and a drink for $5! The burgers were juicy with fresh lettuce, tomato and pickle slices along with crispy fries! DELICIOUS!
Friendly, courteous, after being seated we received our drinks, appetizers, and food promptly. Waiter was attentive. My daughters k-bobs werent cooked right he took them and brought them correctly cooked
If you like breakfast and you like unlimited eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, grits, toast of choice,...for a good price then this is the place for you. Get the mother road I like the sure dough toast with strawberry jelly scrambled eggs bacon with grits with sugar and butter. I have not been there in a while because its so long a drive from my house. I use my kick back card to get points from there and gas station next door and other gas stations around. Im up to $67 bucks worth now and have spent some here and there but I have been earning for years driving around using my card to get points so cant hurt to sign up even if you only earn here and there.
I would give it 0stars if I could. Not mask Worn by staff. Half the food they don’t have on their menu in stock. Appetizer was ordered no sausage to go with it because they were out that failed to tell me before I ordered The meal. All around horrible horrible restaurant was never advise going
The food is good in general here...the service, not so much. 2 days ago my parents and I went there to eat. The sign said seat yourself, so we did. There were only 2 or 3 other occupied tables. After we sat down about 4 other groups came in and were served immediately. Meanwhile, we were sitting there for 20 minutes...no menus, no drink orders, not even an acknowledgment that we were there. 1 of the waiters looked directly at our table 4 times as he walked by and didnt say a word. We left and Im sure itll be a long while before we go back.
Its not a loud place, you are taken care of. Organized, easy going, good food, sports, drinks & nice people.I enjoyed! Thx
Absolutely love this restaurant! Extremely clean, pleasant staff but the food was amazingly good! Don’t shy away from the steak, great cut of meat! They have an awesome chef or chefs! We will makes excuses to come back!
The food and the service is high quality! Steak was cooked perfect. Could cut it with a fork. Waitresses from other restaurants, should take lessons from these waitresses. They are professional and friendly. Service with a smile 😁.
Really great staff and the food is good, especially the fries. However, service is super slow. We waited a good 15 minuets before we saw a server. And it wasnt busy at all. Hopefully they can fix this issue
This was definitely a diner for travelers and fit the MO. Food met expectations. Staff was nice. We didnt get to eat in the light and bright retro section. Maybe its for breakfast only.
Great food. Love the salads. Chili, Chicken and desserts...so far I havent had anything I dont like.
Very sad to see management losing interest in this great (used to be) place. The food is good, but the service is horrible and getting worse. Tonight I waited 20 minutes for a server to even acknowledge me, another 10 to ask what I wanted to drink, 10 more to get a drink, no menu, finally waved one down, asked again for a menu, ordered a salad so I could eat SOMETHING, 20 minutes later get the salad, still no menu, had to get my own silverware, no salt and pepper, no napkins, no crackers, all total over an hour,,,,, for a salad. And still no menu for a meal. Just salad. Which would have been great as a starter.
I hadnt been here for awhile, so while driving through, I thought Id bring my son and brother in. When you enter you can choose to go the steakhouse, the 50s diner or the bar. We went to the cozy looking steakhouse. Theres been some changes since my last visit, not only with the souvenir cups but they also have 6 new Tesla charging stations in the back parking lot. We came at a good time, it was nice and quiet except for the country music softly coming through the speakers overhead, though we could still hold a conversation so it was good. They also have a lot of tvs on the walls showing sports channels and all of them were muted. Tyler was our waiter today and handed us menus that looked like newspapers. On the front cover, it told about the history of Lucilles and Route 66. I had also read that this diner was featured on the Discovery channel. All three of us ordered the Chicken Fried Steak meal, theirs with okra and salad for the sides and mine with mashed potatoes and salad. The house salad comes with baby tomatoes, some cucumber, cheese, red onion and what looked like dried cranberries. All three of us spent some time picking out all the dried fruit and my son took my cucumber. Other than that all the food was delicious and flavorful. The chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly and it was real, not like Jerrys, another restaurant in Weatherford. Though my son and I were quite full afterward, my brother went on to order a chocolate brownie sundae. It came in a huge bowl and was beautifully decorated with whipped cream, a chocolate syrup design, a cherry on top and 3 spoons. My brother ate all of it by himself! Tyler, our waiter was so attentive and made sure we were happy and satisfied. We then went to the restroom before our long drive home. The bathroom is also beautifully put together and there is a changing station inside. Before we left, we also checked out the small gift shop and made a couple purchases. They sell t-shirts, caps, spices, candy etc. By the time we left, I was ready to take a nap. This place is definitely worth checking out if you find yourself in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
Last lunch on a road trip. Awesome atmosphere. Great service and prices. If youre a Rte 66 fan this is a MUST stop.
Good place to visit once or twice the staff wasnt very nice. Place was clean restrooms were clean staff was clean. Its ok
Food was very good. The wait staff very friendly. Excellent place to dine for a quick stop.
Excellent food and service. A must try place. You will not be disappointed!
Excellent food but short handed. Service suffers a bit.
Excellent breakfast. Buttery biscuits with pepper gravy. Very good. Great portion of bacon.
Not a great experience, especially for how expensive it is. Ordered KC strip that was just kind of meh. And my baked potato with butter-only came loaded with cheese and bacon. Waitress was bubbly and chatty, but entirely inattentive. Forgot drink refills, forgot condiments (no S/P shakers, sugar, etc on any table), munged my order. And was gone most of the time. Also no paper menus(?) - QC-code driven menus are dumb.
Open since 2006 not to be confused with the Lucilles gas station in Hydro Oklahoma. The chicken fried chicken was incredibly juicy. The deluxe pork chop was at least an inch thick and juicy also. Service was spot on and polite. Decor was festive. I would recommend stopping by for a bite
I hate writing this bad review, but this is just truly upsetting, my family and I have been traveling all day leaving phoenix az, and traveling back home to Arkansas, we stopped for a nice hot meal and got the worst service, my husband went back to try and fix it, the waitress was less than happy as she went towards the back, it was By far some of the worst food I have ever ordered! The mashed potatoes were soupy as heck, if I could post a pic I would it was watered down potatoes, it was like they dumped the rest of the gravy on them, and the meat was extremely cold, bread was burnt, this was a major let down the food looked great from the pictures, and the one taken our order she didnt have a clue what she was doing, never again, I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Such a cute restaurant, pitty the service and food wasnt better.Ordered starter platter, but they messed up and brought out just chips and dip. Starter came out about 2 minutes before our food. The food would have been delicious but it was barely warm. I got the pork stir fry which tasted great but it wasnt hot. My daughters kids steak was bloody on the inside. Waitdress never asked how she wanted it cooked. Had to ask 3 times for more butter before they actually brought it to the table. They where busy and Im hoping that was the reason for just ok service and barely warm food. The atmosphere was great, lovely place. I would recommend this place, just hoping our experience was a one of thing.
The food was very good and service was great. First time here but will be back again
Amazing!! The food was great the service was great loved this place
The only issue was the lack of menus for my phoneless friends. Besides that the service was great
Great Route 66 themed diner. Very friendly staff and excellent food. The Mother Road is one of the best burgers I have ever had!
Delicious breakfast with a great atmosphere, great staff and heaping helping of friendly locals.
Very good lunch I love their jalapeno bacon
Food and service are fantastic. My son and I are frequent diners.
It took a while to get the food but it was pretty good food
We LOVE stopping here when we do Route 66. The food is great and the staff very friendly. Theres a small gift shop with Route 66 items and t shirts. Be sure to stop here for breakfast or lunch.
They have amazing customer service and the food is AMAZING. Definitely worth stopping during an incredibly long drive. There is parking available for semi trucks, RV, cars and its by a gas station tall enough for toy haulers. Not inconvenient to get to at all and not out of the way.
Great food! Great service!! Watched the Alabama game too!! Roll Tide!!
Great food, Great service, Great prices, Great beer. Cant get any better!
Great nostalgic diner. Great food and a plus having a supercharger on the lot!
I ate dinner here and ended up eating breakfast here the next day also. The biscuits were made just the way I like them, slightly crispy on top. The restraunt is divide into 2, one side is a dinner the other side a steakhouse. The 2 sides share the same menu.I have been back several times. It is a good place to eat.
