I have my own Lawn Care Business, and I was on my way back to Brown County from Dallas in September, and I saw a lot of mowers here at Maxx Outdoor. As most people know mowers have been hard to get here in the past 8 months and especially in Brown, Taylor and Jones County where I live close to. So when I saw a lot of mowers in Weatherford TX I had to stop. The people inside were decently nice, but I did ask for an estimate on my 2021 Gravely HD mower with only 5 hours and they completely low balled the heck out of there own product they sell. I was offered $2,000-$2,500 on a $5,599 mower with only 5 hours on it. When they did that it just turned me away from the store. A few days later I went to Abilene Texas at the Gravely dealer there and I mentioned that I was in Weatherford and the manager immediately knew the store I was talking about. Site unseen in Abilene I was offered $4,500 and ultimately $5,000 when they saw it. I dont recommend this store if your a customer or a lawn Care Pro trying to sell or trade your mower. 2 Stars just because the lady & guy seemed cool.
Worst dealership I’ve ever encountered. Operates under the same name as Micam Development & Asset Liquidators.Serious lack of direction, constant micromanaging and narcissistic behavior from leadership. Inadequate record keeping and ongoing budget mismanagement that prohibits leadership from making educated, analytical business decisions. Dealership’s leadership has no understanding of dealer operations and perception of reality is skewed and lacked any minutiae of goes on in each department. Used equipment is seldom portrayed in condition advertised due to being “in use” off site, inventory control is nonexistent, adherence to required dealer-manufacturer agreement is considered optional and unimportant. Staff is untrained and leadership doesn’t understand what is required to run the departments. Growth is expected without adequate resources needed to obtain.Any new employee placed in GM Role is quickly undermined and short lived. Individual department leadership is thwarted due to ownership’s micromanaging and overruling Management decisions on policy or allocation of personnel. Spent most of my time fixing problems due to counterproductive, careless, and impulse decisions that tied up personnel and wasted resources. Anything promised to you better be in writing or it won’t happen.Pros:Air conditioning, bathrooms on premisesCons:Unprofessional leadership, high turnover rates, Power outages, Outdated and Inefficient DMS, Lack of defined roles and responsibilities, limited floor plan, budget mismanagement or lack thereof, management/ownership lacks experience of dealer operations, micromanagingIs Maxx Outdoor & Equipment a good company to work for?No, dealership likely to close due to lack of direction and constantly changing expectations. No morals, questionable business practices, nonexistent integrity, customer base unimportant, profit over people, suffers from shortsided decision making, and serious lack of clear direction. How are the working hours at Maxx Outdoor & Equipment?I worked on average 70-80 hours a week. No understanding from leadership if you schedule time for appointments to go to doctor or have personal business to attend. Constantly increasing expectations and adding responsibilities without compensation or appreciation.
From the first phone call the customer service was amazing. We worked with Hailey and she made the entire purchasing process extremely easy. We would highly recommend and will definitely do business with them again.
I am a 21 year US Navy Veteran and have lived in many countries as well as numerous states. The customer service that was provided at Maxx Outdoor & Equipment (Jessica) was second to none! She not once tried to sale me on anything or persuade me to make the purchase right then. She answered all my questions, listened to what my needs were and explained the different features and benefits of each zero turn mower I asked about. If you are looking for top notch customer service, great pricing and a pleasant experience of purchasing a mower or any type of lawn/farm equipment I strongly recommend you reach out to Jessica at Maxx Outdoor & Equipment. Jessica and the staff have made me a customer for life and I rest assure they will do the same for you.
Staff was really friendly and Hailey took amazing care of us while buying our first sky track. Excellent team up there at maxx outdoor & equipment. Come check them out!!
I had a great buying experience with Maxx. Good inventory, no pressure environment and knowledgeable staff. Haley was my sales representative. She was knowledgeable but not condecending, if she did not know the answer to one of my questions she admitted it and talked to a tech to find out. Haley also told me about a discount program that I was unaware of that saved me money. Other dealers did not inform me of the program and that is when I decided to use Maxx. They even loaned me a trailer so I could get my new mower home. I will use them again in the future. Very satisfied.
I drove 2 hours to test a used piece of equipment.I told the sales rep that I wanted the unit but there was an ignition problem. She assured me that it would be fixed before it left the shop. So I ask, Whats the next step to get the sale done? She just gave me a blank stare and then said she would call me. I left and called the next day and the unit was sold. Very unprofessional staff.I gave an extra star because its a nice facility.
I called and asked for parts dept. the individual in parts was rude and hung up on me. My question was simple, I have a Scag Tiger Cat 52 deck and needed 3 blades, his response was we dont deal with Scag and hung up. I did not need Scag parts I needed (3) 18 mower blades any brand would have worked for me. I will never spend a dollar at Maxx Outdoor nor will I ever recommend Maxx Outdoor to anyone I know. I would highly recommend customer etiquette training to all store employees!
First time going there for some parts. This has to be one of the friendliest equipment dealerships I have ever been to. I had contact with every department and every single one was great. Will definitely go back.
Awesome shop great staff very knowledgeable about the products and willing to work with you when it comes to buying products I will be back and even if its out of the way personally I would tell you to check this place out!
Good source for stihl parts. Helpful people.
What a great place. Everyone that i have dealt with have been kind and very helpful. I brought in my tractor and they got in and out when they said it would. I will most defiantly be bring my tractor back. Thank you for all your hard work and hospitality.
Great place for parts. Knowledgeable staff
Excellent is the perfect word to use for their sales, service and management team. Everyone I talked too went above and beyond to get me where I wanted to be. Ive bought a few pieces of equipment from MAXX and will continue to buy everything I can from them. Theyve earned a customer for life.
Best dealer in Weatherford. Every time I come in I get treat like family. It’s hard to find places like this. I will admit there are cheaper options in Weatherford. Remember, you get what you pay for. I will continue doing business here because a family atmosphere and exceptional service is worth more than saving a couple bucks. Go with these guys if you’re on the fence, they’ll take care of you, even if you didn’t buy your equipment there!!!
First time requesting service for my Bad Boy mower. Sent an inquiry online. Jenny in service immediately tried calling to discuss options. She then introduced me to Reno and he continued to validate options and pricing. Communication was key. Reno confirmed estimate before any work was to begin and less than 24 hours all service was complete and estimate was exactly what he said it would be. Thank you to the staff and team.
As a lawn & landscaping company owner, I was in the market for a new commercial stand on ZT. I placed a call to the General Manager, Miles Klepper regarding his on site inventory. Klepper immediately sent me photos of all the equipment he had on the lot. Klepper later assisted me with my purchase in a timely and professional manner. I’m looking forward to doing business with their team of employees in the future!
Miles was amazing and didnt waste anytime getting us what we needed within our budget!
Chris is always very helpful.
They held a Easter Egg Hunt this year and it was awesome! They had multiple bounce houses for kids, free food(which was delicious), they were kinda unorganized for the egg hunt, BUT it was their first egg hunt so thats to he expected. Employees were very kind and curtious. All in all when I need to buy something for any outside use Ill definitely head to Maxx!
Came in to buy a skid steer and the sales rep was very helpful and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions. I am a business owner and I will be back to purchase more.
..the ladies that are in sales department doesn’t know nothing about tractors and even more doesn’t know nothing about customer service.so if you are trying to buy some equipment from this company, forget it,better that you look around from someone else..keep away from them...so sorry for the owners of this company with bad employees in sales department 😖
Excellent Service, Friendly and definitely know there business.

Helpful & Friendly staff
Great team to work with and for.
Service was fantastic. Took time out of their day to address my equipments issues. Good people.
I had a great experience buying my new Gravely mower. The staff was very friendly and great to work with, especially Jessica. She dealt with me over the phone and I told her what I was looking for and she got me exactly what I needed at a price that could not be beat. She worked with me and made the whole buying process super easy and pleasant. I could not have ask for a better sales person. I would definitely recommend Maxx Outdoor Equipment for any of your outdoor needs.
We bought our Sporttrek Touring with Jessica and she was amazing. She was patient and diligent with our questions. The entire team was a pleasure to work with. Jake was a wealth of knowledge on our walk thru!! Maxx took good care of us to make sure we had all we needed for our new camper. I truly appreciate all the work from Jessica and the entire team.
I hate paying super premium prices for stihl equipment, but the prices are the same anywhere you go. One thing that isn’t the same everywhere is the customer service. Everyone I have felt with was very helpful and accommodating. Especially James in parts. Recommend!
Quick and easy purchase of a mower.
We looked at a lot of compacts and decided on TYM. Worked with Jim who treated us fair and with respect. Showed us the service area and gave us a comprehensive overview of the tractor. The staff was knowledgeable and the pricing was competitive. We’ll be back for any of our future outdoor needs. Thanks everyone.
We purchased a camper at maxx equipment and really love that camper but weve had nothing but trouble with the refrigerator. They replaced it with an obviously used one and now it has quit. Since the warranty is expired we have to purchase a new one. They should last more than a year anyway. I am very disappointed in this company
Awesome place and good deals
My mother n law just bought her first new travel trailer from Maxx Outdoor. Kerry was great and friendly. He went above and beyond for her. I totally recommend this store.... We will be back. Good job Kerry!
I bought a new backhoe from Maxx Equipment about 3 weeks ago in Weatherford TX. Blew a hydraulic line due to a misalignment from the factory. The dealership is 300 miles from my ranch. I had Excellent service and support from their service department. Steve the service manager had me send him pictures of the break. He ordered and shipped the parts to me in South Texas. He talked to me about the repair several times and sent me an illustration of the way the tubing and hose was to be reinstalled. Great people at that dealership! Service the way it was meant to be. Mike H. Rio Frio TX.
Big shout out to the whole team at Maxx outdoors! They were great to deal with from start to finish. Not only did they have the best prices around they also had the most knowledge of their products! (I checked 3 different tym dealers on prices). Huge shout out to Jessica for being my sales associate and for not acting like you are in sales but more of a consultant to help me get what I wanted!! Need assistance? Call and ask for Jessica!
Tried to order parts and told me it would be there the following Friday, then after not hearing from them I called. It was then the following Monday. I finally called again the following Wednesday and they had no clue, maybe the following Friday.I can’t speak for every department at the business, but their parts department has stopped me from any further business with them.
Walked in needing to find parts, Morgan Emigh greeted me at the door and was fantastic, he helped me find everything I needed and was very knowledgeable. 100% recommend this place and ask for Morgan. He will help with anything & everything needed.
Save you time and money. The owner only cares about getting your money not keeping his word. My equipment was put second to his stuff. The owner does not care about you as a customer. The gentleman working on my equipment said he was consistently pulled off to work on owners equipment over mine. Save yourself a headache
Excellent costumer service
I bought Graverly mower at Max Outdoor and the staff was amazing. They were very informative and helpful. The mower is the best mower I have ever been on. I love it!
Could not have had a better results in dealing with them. They really went above and beyond. Great people.
By far the best deals in the state. If you need anything from Ag, Construction, parts, Rvs, etc.. i highly recommend you to visit Maxx Outdoor & Equipment!
Great and friendly service. Very quick. And Lana is awesome. Over all good experience.
Great customer service and a very knowledgeable staff. They had a pretty wide selection of lawn equipment. I will be back
Terrible service experience.....overpriced! Will never return! Ever....
Very happy with my purchase. Ended up going with a Gravely ZT XD 52. Jessica Canafax was extremely helpful and made the sale quick and easy. Got the machine home and tried it out on my yard and was instantly in love. Many thanks to Maxx Outdoors. Highly recommend going and seeing Jessica of you are in need of some equipment.
Bought an expensive mower, delivered with no fuel, got a flat 10 days later. Brought the tire in and was eventually told I could only buy a new tire with another rim. Very hard to find matching tire at other stores. Took a week for them to tell me that with me calling them every time. Thought they could have done more
We just bought a tractor and Im telling you what this place has good customer service and very good deals
Nice place, friendly staff
This place is terrible!!!! The owner only cares about how much money he can make off of you. The service dept was great but could only do so much due to the owner and his management staff. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! Max Thompson is a liar and swindler and Maxx Outdoor and Equipment is a terrible place to do business and I will let all my farm and ranchers friends know to go else where. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ordered parts for my tractor a couple of days ago and the staff at Maxx outdoors went above and beyond to help me out.In the future I will not hesitate to call them.fast friendly service, they did exactly what they promised.
Morgan Emigh was very professional and knowledgeable. Very friendly and helped me with everything i was looking for.
Great experience buying a new Gravely ZT HD. Jessica was great to work with. Many thanks!
Great sales, parts, and service staff. Jessica Canafax is wonderful to work with, as is Jodi Berman, Great dealership, Mower Delivery person was extremely helpful, very nice buildout of the facility, the staff makes you feel comfortable and without any typical “sales pressure.” Highly recommend them!
They were able to find a solution and fixed the issue in a timely matter.
Very friendly and helpful staff
I am so happy to see a place like this in Weatherford. It has been needed for a long time. As a female I feel so at peace while shopping there. I have been in 3 times and they are so consistently nice and professional while helping me pick the right gravely mower on one occasion, then a Stihl trimmer and blower on another occasion, then this last time I was in they helped quide me to the perfect UTV choices for my needs. They listen to me instead of talking over me. If you are looking for a tractor, mower, trailer, or some cool UTVs or even a great place to browse I recommend Maxx Outdoor & Eguipment. The place is huge. I’ll be back for sure
Horrible Service Department Experience - lies and misrepresentations. Dropped my baler off for repairs and service. 1st told 3 weeks, then another 3 weeks, then another 3 weeks. Finally picked it up after 9 weeks and told one promise after another. I wont go back.
Excellent service!! I will absolutely come back again!
Run away - not worth it. Much better choices to choose from.
The service department will charge for a pick up and not keep you informed of any progress. DO NOT use them for any service.
Friendly staff and a wide choice of equipment.
Great customer service! And lots of inventory to choose from!
Nice show room and friendly staff
Great place and an amazing staff!
