Just about always has what i need. Acoustic, electric, amp area, drums room, symbols room, piano, and audio equipment. This place has performance music covered. They even offer lessons. I have purchased and sold many guitars here through out the years. They offer competitive pricing on high end gearandthe best part is you try almost everything before you try it. Most of the staff knows what try are talking about and have some musical knowledge.

I enjoy my visits to Guitar Center, been going here for years. There is never a pushy salesperson and all the staff are willing to help. They have a little bit of everything and they use to have more items in the showroom. However, I have ordered instruments from them and they are willing to double check your stuff. I like that one can go in and try out the equipment and they wont bug you about it.

A pretty friendly and great store. I usually visit here when I want to test products before I buy them. Ive purchased cables, pedals, a bass, a harp, and an audio interface and have never been let down. The only reason this is rated four star is because they often dont have answers to more technical questions, and dont have a huge variety of stock, particularly lacking in the headphones and headphone accessories department. 8/10, I highly recommend this Guitar Center.

The customer service here is A+. Had an issue with an electric acoustic I bought at the Corpus Christie store and The Bay Area store not only replaced it, they were incredibly helpful in finding a decent replacement since they didnt have the model I originally bought in stock.

Had an awesome sales experience with today with Daniel. I attempted to work out a deal and sell 2 double kick pedals and upgrade to a new set. Unfortunately we couldn’t work out a deal but Daniel maintained professionalism throughout the whole experience and provided great customer service. The store sales lead had a bit of a new management chip on his shoulders but ultimately the store has always been great. Daniel gave great advice and was on point with his clear goals for working out something that was fair for both parties. If you go in, ask for Daniel.

I love going to all locations especially the one in Webster TX. The customer service is unprecedented. All smiles, problem solving and knowledgeable of anything you have questions about, especially from a employee name Sarah at the Webster locations and Jamie at the fountain location near 59 frwy. I will definitely recommend you go shop there for your instruments and music needs.

I went to this location to find a record that Ive been searching a long time for, and at a decent price. Sure enough, Guitar Center had BOTH!! PLUS the salesperson was very pleasant to do business with. He made sure that my visit and experience exceeded my expectations.I definitely recommend anyone looking to start or improve their musicianship experience, whether its trying out a new instrument or getting lessons to play different kinds of instruments, to go to Guitar Center. Theyll be just as glad as I was.

Not safe at all. There are a few chairs for adults to sit in to watch their kids play with very limited visibility. If you don’t get one of those few lucky chairs, you have zero visual contact the whole time your kids are in the play structure. There are bug kids and adults in there that you are trusting with your kids unless you are in there with them.

Always great people there. Good selection of gear and accessories. Clean store, friendly helpful staff.

Like any Guitar store this will not disappoint. Amazing variety, friendly staff. Wanted to buy an electric guitar for my son and the staff was patient with me till I called him, tried sharing pics of the Colors that were on offer and it was closing time. One word of advice, take their extended warranty, its cheap and also covers broken damages. Loved the experience.

He got to hold and play all of them. Choosing the right guitar is like choosing a best friend! Staff was helpful and gave us freedom to choose!

I came in today for the first time in a long time so I could take my guitar out of hibernation and I just needed a few quick things. Plot twist, I had my sleeping baby with me. Curtis met me at the door with a smile and then quickly helped me find everything before the baby woke up! He helped me figure out what exactly I needed when there was a few options and got me everything I needed for my upcoming gig. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Very accommodating. Ive bought from them many times, prices are competitive and the used gear unless otherwise noted, is good quality.

Helpful and polite even when theyre busy. Usually have some great used equip deals, I regularly drop by and drool on some sweet higher end guitars. Could improve by helping customers order out of stock items, the IRig2 for me. I did go home and order online. Delivered to store next day, had it by 11 am. All in all 4.9 of 5 stars. Excellent staff.

I’ve gone into the store about 5 times since the covid outbreak. The staff is friendly and always welcomes another musician with open arms. My shopping there is always allowed to be personal as I enjoy playing the instruments by myself but if I needed help it’s only 20 ft away. I just wish the store would open back up or the official opening date would be posted somewhere as they have been closed with the bars down for about 2 weeks now

At the time I visited it was loud and busy. Many empty places on the walls where guitars used to hang. I suppose they are not restocking (perhaps related to the chain filing for banktrupcy). The floor employees were busy helping in a semi coordinated manner and managed to get us all help and checked out and assisted. A good place for guitar strings and guitars both acoustic and electric as well as bass and keyboard and audio playback gear and some electric guitar amps.

I came to guitar center with the intention of buying some equipment and upgrading my sound system but unfortunately the management wanted to play The Mask Police instead of selling the equipment in the store that is maintaining the bussines and his employment.Some bussines need to decide if they work for their company or the CDC, in either case they just lost a costomer and his money.

So normally I dont have an issue with this place I love it considering Im a musician and they usually have decent equipment. But up until recently everything was fine and then out of nowhere, Im assuming theyve had a string of thefts, but I noticed that I get special attention at an insulting degree. Now I understand people with tattoos everywhere and not proper and trained looking usually dont have a respectable history or background, or thats what one would assume typically, and may want to still as part of their agenda for visiting establishment, thats not me. Regardless, it is an ongoing issue and has become incessantly annoying to the level at which I choose to lower my standards, play the part and proceed to cuss and verbally express my opinions. Which is a shame because they have lost a lot of business because of it. So I signed off saying phyuck clear lake guitar center, and if I could I would search every guitar with the end of the strings side inserted first rectally. Thanks.

They helped me pick out the most beautiful beginner guitar. It holds a fabulous tune and it’s easy for me to hold I’m getting a lot of good quality practice out of it.

What can I say? Its guitar center. They wanted over $40 for a 3 way toggle switch for my Les paul. I passed and got one online for $10. All and all the shelves had alot of empty hooks as usual. Staff was adequate.

Usually has what Im looking for. Lots of great guitars in stock, and you can play the instruments which I love. Get to see if it fits your hands ECT right. And, fun place to visit if youre bored. No one bothers you.

Expensive, but you can find deals on cheaper guitars, and if you sell them old gear, you can get a significant discount on new gear (up to 20% off in addition to what you made from selling it).I bought my favorite amp of all time there for really cheap in the used section (very good deals there) and they have a small, but always there, selection of lefty guitars. As a lefty player, its really helpful to try out guitars there, because its hard to find them elsewhere. They usually have a couple strats and a lefty tele, but they have had lefty lucite guitars, les pauls, and the occasional hollowbody, as well as a few acoustic Fenders.

This is handsdown the best location in Houston, especially if youre making bigger purchases. Ive been going to this location for the last 10yrs and will continue to do so in the future!

This best the best way to file bankruptcy and blame on COVID19 because they refuse to service people without mask.This place was completely dead like no one coming inI dont know who made this new law but how can you buy a mask when there isnt any and in order to buy a mask you have to wear a mask into a store to buy one.

Be careful here. They’re rip offs. Sadly I went in on Saturday, December 21st to buy my son a drum set. The price listed was $219.00 for a rogue complete drum set. However I didn’t have the room in my vehicle and my kids were with me at the time as well. I asked how long the sale would be and they told me through Xmas. The following day went to pick it up and they had already bumped it up. Yes some will say this is my fault for not purchasing it that same day, but the salesman also lied to me. I would’ve purchased it at $219 and picked it up the following day or later that same day, but understood the price wouldn’t change. I don’t like being lied too.so be careful going here. I ended spending their supposedly new sales cost of $249 within a day of their first listed sale price of $219. To make matters worse when my husband mentioned the price difference to the cashier he literally said ”whats your point”. Its Christmas, my son wanted a drum set So I wasnt going to argue the point of their shadyness. but needless to say, I wont be back.

High prices. Way better deals can be had elsewhere. Employees are more interested in chatting with each other than actually engaging a customer. Its a place where you can check out the instrument before you buy online, straight up.

I came in for an in line tuner they had on sale, unfortunately they were out of the package. The employee- his name badge was worn out and I couldn’t make out his name- got the manager to approve him getting all the individual items that would of come in the package and give me the same deal...without prompting. Decent customer service but if you are new to playing an instrument, not the best in the world. Did not offer any suggestions for anything to go with the instrument. Such as a tuner, picks or strap with the guitar I bought.

Ive been buying guitars for years from Guitar Center. They have an excellent return policy that actually allows the customer to try out the instrument at home and return it no questions asked if it does not fit their expectations or needs. I have no apprehension in making a purchase from this place. Their prices and customer service cannot be beat.

I really enjoy this place I am a guitarist I have been playing guitar for majority of my life now which is probably about 26 years give or take and I go here and get my strings get my pics I also DJ on the side so I get all my equipment from them I talked to the guys up there they know exactly what I need they know exactly what Im talking about when I talk to him about stuff and they help me out with everything you cant go wrong with this place the here its all about the customer youre not a number to them you are a customer you are and Im a customer for life Ive been coming here oh God since I was 6 years 7 years old or so give or take I mean I bought my elevation back in the early 2000s 98 or so 9 mm give or take and I still have it today and it still sounds like it did day one and its a acoustic electric Ovation and I love it and they they see me they all bring it up there and Ill bring it out form and play and theyll be like we havent seen a body style like that in years thats exactly what they remember

Earlier this afternoon, I drove an hour to get to this store because I wanted to purchase a new drum set and cymbals. I browsed the drum section for well over 30 minutes and played loudly on 1 of only 3 kits they have set up thinking that would get a sales associates attention.Nope. Not 1 sales associate said hello or asked if they could help. I even stood in the middle of the entrance to the drum room looking around like a typical customer looking for help. Nope. No one at all. Some even walked right by without saying a word.Amazing. And it wasnt even like they were busy. There were maybe a dozen customers there on a Saturday afternoon and 5 or 6 sales associates.This place might be good if you needed a quick pair of sticks or picks. But I tried giving these guys my money and they didnt want it.

The big box store for musical equipment. Not every location has the higher end gear, but that is okay. The selection is alright, especially if shopping for accessories or mid-price equipment. This location does have a guitar tech on staff. You may not find what you are looking for right away, but there are plenty of people standing around to help you out.

Went there to look for prices for a guitar purchase. This location is big and have a variety but! They have more quality brands than specials on guitars just fyi. But overall love the store!

I recently purchased a new piece of equipment that was released for the first time this year. As with most 1st-generation products, the equipment was full of bugs and defects that were completely unacceptable.I spent nearly $2,000 on the equipment and had a horrific experience trying to find a working product. The manufacturer was completely responsible, but this did not stop Guitar Center from doing everything in their power to help. After weeks of exchanges, and failed attempts to find a bug/defect-free piece of equipment... I was forced to switch products.I cannot imagine an exchange with any employee, manager, owner (or company for that matter) ending so well. If it was not for Mark’s incredible efforts to ensure that I was 100% satisfied and his willingness to work with me, I do not believe I would have been comfortable ever doing business with Guitar Center again.However, thanks in-part (if not entirely) to his efforts, I put over $3,000 into another piece of equipment and look forward to dropping another $1,000+ in the coming months for some equally impressive sound gear. Mark has secured my business with Guitar Center and the business of all of my friends (and anyone that ever asks me) until the end of time. I highly recommend doing business with this company, or at the very least with this location and Mark. It’s as if he personally guarantees 100% satisfaction.

Great quality guitars. I buy from here all the time. If you are interested in buying a new instrument, I would recommend it. However, I personally feel that the employees are only there to get paid and do not feel they love musical instruments as much as the customers that visit.

Went in there to get information andout buying a guitar. Have no experience with any of it and was hoping to get some help. They were a little busy and I walked around the place a couple of times but no one offered any help. They have a lot of stuff, very overwhelming for someone starting out. All kinds of equipment for many different things, not just guitars. I assume you probably just have to know what your doing before you come here.

My baby does regular business here. They are always respectful and professional, though I think they could have a better buy back program with a better payouts, given how high their prices are.

I went here to purchase the VOX Amplug, some strings and picks, and when I used my debit card to purchase the stuff it said it was approved right when the cashiers computer crashed. I showed him my bank statement where it said it posted to my account, but he said that he had no proof on his end, so if I wanted my stuff I would have to purchase it again. He said the second charge would roll off my account, but when I emailed their operations team, they told me they were not responsible for a refund. The cashier, Phillip, did not even try to handle the situation. As soon as everything went south, he shoved all responsibility of it off on me and told me to call my bank and figure it out. This is completely unprofessional and I felt walked all over. Corporate needs to do something about this, as the sales team at this location is often not on their A game.

I called before hand to see if they had the drum kit I needed. When i got there they had everything I needed pulled to the front and ready to go. Great doing business with them!

This place is amazing, the staff is very chill and nice, the instruments are relatively cheap and of excellent quality, and they offer 10-20 minutes lessons Wednesdays for free! No charge, not even a penny. and their paid lessons are quite expensive, but extensive too, it is four hours a month, that is one entire hour per week, it doesnt sound like much but it really is, and it is worth it. Totally recommend this place if you are looking for good lessons, cheap and good instruments and just have a good time playing around with all the instruments they have.

Guitar Center online lies and pretends to have things in stock only to notify you days later and only after youve ordered.This local NASA store has has reduced stock drastically in order to make room for guitar lessons. I suppose they wanted to compete with the School of Rock, two doors down, instead of staying in their lane. The result I very few small combo guitar amps and a dramatic reduction of accessories. Lame.

Store will not let people in without facemasks. To make matters worse, they suggested that I could order from the internet and get it curbside. I went back to my car and placed the order to then have them tell me they I have to wait about two hours for the order to process.Having to sit in my car because the guy with the giant beard and a mask (completely ineffective) would not let in a shopper doing the same thing as him. (not really covering his face)This place is ridiculous.

I travel with my job and visit Guitar Center and Sam Ash stores. Sam Ash is a fantastic store with fantastic sales folks. Guitar Center has terrible stores with terrible sales folks.
