I had a horrible experience this afternoon, along with a lot of other customers. I was on line for a long time because there was only one register open, and the line was going to the back of the store. People were complaining about waiting so long, many put their stuff down and walked out, I did the same. No customers should be treated or taken for granted by any store. I had good experiences before, but I can and will not recommend you, because you treated everyone like we were nothing. The management should be ashamed of themselves for letting this happen

Joanns in West Babylon seems to be short on staff. The few times I go in, there is usually a long-line and I have to ask for more people to be put on registers. The staff though is knowledgeable and know where almost every thing is located in the store.

Dealt with a wonderful staff member named Sierra who took the time to check inventory. I needed 3 of a Christmas item listed as in stock however wasn’t on the floor yet. Sierra made the effort to check and brought me exactly what I needed. Considering they seem understaffed and the item was not yet shelved, this young lady deserves to be commended!

Its a good craft store but since this whole supply chain issue alot of the shelves were kinda empty . Overall they stock a ton of crafting products

I went in looking for some fabric for a small project, the lady at the fabric cutting area was super nice and helpful and knew exactly what I was looking for. She was able to direct me right to the other items I needed with no problem. Checkout was quick and the cashier was also very nice. They dont have the selection of art supplies that Michaels has, but they have far more fabrics and the store is clearly focused in that direction, which is great because I dont believe Ive seen too many stores focusing on that. Ill definitely be back.

An older woman in her 50s named Jackie needs to be given a medal for the most rudest disrespectful nasty mean employee in the working force. It seems she is a manager somehow because she frequently bosses all employees around like shes everything. I went searching for supplies for a school project and this woman refused to accept my perfectly valid coupons because she was not aware I had them meanwhile she had already scanned my items. now lets add the whipped cream. I waited on a 30 minute line with this cashier working one register for all customers. thanks to Jackie, youve lost me and many more to come as customers. you must watch your employees closely because this establishment is lacking respect.

It’s a shame but I had to edit a 5 star review from only a few months back. I stopped in with a couple of my friends the other day and couldn’t believe the ridiculous line to the register. We ended up putting our stuff down and walking out. Not sure who’s running this place but I hope the owner knows he/she lost a pretty good sale because of mismanagement. It’s a real shame because my group meets up once a week to do crafts and there are new members every week...get it together Joann of West Babylon or you will continue losing customers. 👎

Looking for fusible fabric to choose a small hole in my shirt. The woman I spoke with was very helpful (and the fusing worked).

My wife has been shopping in Joannes in west babylon for a few years now and has always been great. But for the past 3 or 4 months it has been going down hill fast. Today i went with her and we waited online for 40 min only the be helped by an older cashier maybe in her 50s who had to be the nastiest cashier i have ever seen and very unpresentable. This job is not for her. She as no people skills and always argues why your not allowed to use any of there coupons and you have to prove her wrong. Managment isnt doing there job very well.

All good if you are looking for craft and to keep kids busy you should go down and pay a visit..

She has a major attitude, nasty, looks nasty and should not be working with people or in charge of teens working there. I witnessed her talking down to the younger employee. They have lots of crafty ideas but shelves are not exactly well stocked possibly due to pandemic crisis.

This place saves me for every one of the kids little projects that they have for school. Fabric they got it glue galore buttons for home ec.

Fewer of these general craft stores now, so support them! This brand has specialty items in cloth crafts(fabric, sewing, knitting, etc.), as well as general making wares, seasonal goods and supplies, paper, packaging, et al. Good prices, knowledgeable staff...a nice shop!

Great place for all your fabric needs. Pick up some fabric and make your own masks for protection against the coronavirus. That way you will be protected and look good too.

Great store with helpful staff and tons of options. Their Halloween selection is always outstanding. The seasonal items are the best... Unique and special for any occasion. I highly recommend the special event or wedding section for favors, specialty items and other things that wedding stores overcharge for.

Its not a big store but always seems to have what I need, and so close to home, thats great. Only issue Ive ever had was I bought a magazine that I already had, there was no sign stating theyre not returnable, so we had a bit of a discussion on that. My thought it wouldnt take a whole lot to have a sign somewhere or a cashier state that when ringing up the purchase.

Selection is just okay and the place is fairly small, but the sales are usually pretty good. Seems understaffed, last time I was there there was a long line waiting to cash out and only one cashier! It is my go-to for a good selection of yarn products, especially in terms of affordable products on Long Island (which is difficult to begin with.)

They are very knowledgeable. If they dont have what you are looking for they will tell you where to go find it. Who does that anymore? They are one of a kind.

This place is great they have plenty of good sales I love it when its 50 to 70% off they have great stuff for July 4th right now independence day I believe its 50 to 70% off so much cutesy stuff and people that work there are helpful however I think a large majority of the classes are a rip-off its nothing you cant learn off of YouTube like its $35 for them to teach you how to open up a seem thats crazy to me... But as far as their merchandise its definitely good high-quality crafting items and every once in a while you get an awesome sale. And they almost always give you coupons for your next purchase like 20 to 30% off! I love coupons!

Awesome place for a Hands-on class, fabric- Yarn & paper/ card making supplies. I have returned to knitting since I became a Nanna recently..and wanted to learn crochet. Took the Intro class with Fran, in West Babylon- it turned out to be a fun small group & we all learned Single / Double/ Half double crochet..I am now happily DC a prayer shawl..and so satisfied with how its turning out..They had great offers before Black Friday & happily took advantage of them. Every store I have visited (4 in suffolk) staff is friendly, & very helpful & can answer questions..unlike staff in Michaels or HL where they are not artists or knitters & cannot really answer questions about usage.

It was my first time and my LAST time going into this store, now because I had never been there before and I didn’t have my phone on me I wasn’t aware that I had walked in 3 minutes before they closed however, working in retail for many years, I’ve learned that you never tell a customer to “look quickly” because “we’re closing in 3 minutes” that’s the greeting I got from some girl vacuuming in the front. To add insult to injury as my boyfriend and I were walking quickly through the store because of course we felt rushed another store employee had the audacity to tell us “were closing in 2 minutes.” This whole entire time those 2 never offered to help us. Never asked us if we needed help. Nothing. Horrible customer service. I will never go back there again. I won’t spend a penny at a place that hires people like that.

The location in Babylon is very clean and organized. Its always stocked in time for pattern sales. I have one closer to where I live but will take the extra drive because I like this one better.

Nice craft shop but, unfortunately, they do a lot of bait and switch. Give you coupons when you check out then tell you they cant be used next time, even though theyre not expired and your item is full price. I dont think Ill shop there again after too many times of bait and switch. Today, I bought two Halloween items that were on a rack out front that was clearly marked 60% off Halloween. Both items came up full price and it wasted my 50% off coupon on one. If I ever go back it will be for one item at a time so I will be able to tell if the coupon applies. But I probably wont shop there again, Ill check out Michaels and AC Moore next time.Terrible way to run a business.

I found a hard to find clear Velcro buttons there. Just what I needed. Saw a fantastic selection of fabrics. There are not too many out there like this.

Clean, well organized store. Has everything a crafter could want. Its so much more than just fabric but it definitely has an amazing selection of fabrics.
